The food was good, the service was excellent and we'll definitely be back.

I ordered take out meals for a family after traveling and this place did not disappoint. We are semi-new to the area, and love eating locally, so finding this spot was great! We order breakfast and lunch food. I recommend their kitchen sink omelette, crunch French toast, and blueberry muffin. Everything was freshly made to order, and was full of flavor. I am disappointed that I didn’t try it sooner. I will definitely be a regular at this place. We went about lunch time, so there was a bit of a wait but totally worth it.

I left the place in across the street from the Canyon Lake main gate because I was sitting there a long time before a waiter came. I’m glad I left there or I wouldn’t have visited VIP. VIP was an exceptional alternative and a must nicer location, venue and atmosphere. My waitress, Jennifer, i think her badge showed had a wonderfully pleasing persona and voice - and a cut Halloween tutu. My food was great with an interesting way to order that probably drove the price a bit higher. I liked the food, eggs, bacon, French toast. The biscuit was a standard doughy issue but everyone except for the rare, very rare few take the time to really put out a grand biscuit product. But they don’t advertise just biscuits, but rather biscuits and gravy. And you can cover up a bad biscuit if you want the gravy. Next time I’ll pass. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. The waitress was very nice. Menus prices were higher than the place that ignored me, but, hey really?!?

Me and my family a table of 6 went to enjoy breakfast this afternoon! Our server was a beautiful young lady with a septum piercing! I cannot recall her name but she was so Wonderful and has such amazing service. She didn’t use a notepad for any of our orders. Super impressive. She needs a raise! Thank you for being a beautiful soul and providing top notch service today it goes such a long way when you get service like this in a restaurant! We will be back

This is a regular stop for me. The service is great atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is excellent. I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they are very consistent with their dishes. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice cafe to enjoy a good meal and be able to have good conversation this is the place for you. They also have a beautiful large patio if you feel like sitting outside and taking in the sun. Cheers

This cafe is located in the Stater Bros shopping center on Canyon Hills Rd & Railroad Canyon Rd with plenty of parking and a good size patio with outside seating. First timer here and I'm very impressed, food tastes delicious and super fresh with great presentation. Food took a bit longer than expected to come out but was worth the wait. I really enjoyed their 'Pesto Turkey Melt' which is served on a grilled Ciabatta Roll and their Waffle which is soft and simply amazing! Their coffee is fresh, one of the best I've ever had. Shout out to our server Sabrina who was attentive, helpful with the menu and made sure our coffee cups were filled. The restaurant is very clean and organized with nice decor. Restrooms are also clean. Overall we had a good experience here and can't wait to return and try other menu items.

This place has some great service. I couldn’t have been seated faster, tended too faster, or gotten my food faster if I brought it with me. I tired to drink my iced tea, and it kept getting refilled at half empty. Amazing, friendly, and speedy fast service. Food tasted great, nice atmosphere. Visited the other day for breakfast and last night for dinner. The crew is amazingly friendly and accommodating like they really enjoy working there. I met the owners as well and they are very wonderful people. The food is very good and probably one of the few best places to eat around Riverside County unless you prefer fast food chains which I don't. I recommend trying this place out...you won't regret it. Btw, thank you for the cucumber water. ;) I'll see you guys soon.

Hubby and I found this place on our way to Costco and were greeted and seated right away with friendly smiles. We both ordered the breakfast special since we wanted something lighter but still delicious, and it was perfect. The portions were just right, the pancakes were soft and fluffy, and the coffee was delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend!

We both ordered the breakfast special since we wanted something lighter but still delicious, and it was perfect. I believe ownership has changed, which is a good thing. Atmosphere is the same except our both seats were reupholstered, another good thing. Service was polite and friendly. The Country Breakfast skillet was very good. Belgium waffle was ok. Dough was a bit thick, making the waffle heavy vs. Airy, no butter. The maple syrup was warm, which was amazing!

Outstanding customer service and and outstanding quality of food Even before I walked in the small fence like gate I was greeted and received with a smile, I really appreciate how even though the waitress was very busy she was still able to wait on me in a timely manner and on top got me my order within 5-10min of ordering then constantly checking in once or twice during my meal. The food is good pricing is reasonable, and that’s aside from the special that they have which also came very highly recommended, now the covid safety practices could be a little bit more strict, but in reality it’s not enough of a course to lose my appetite over. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at VIP cafe and would recommend it as an enjoyable relaxed place to grab bite with a friend

Vip has a huge menu which is awesome. A cute little spot for take out and dining in with family. It's very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are perfect. The fried foods are delicious ( I highly recommend the fried zuchinni) and the waffles are airy and delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive. The downsides for me were the hashbrowns were undercooked and very under seasoned and several items came out pretty room temp if not getting cold. The food sort of came out in waves (we came around 6:45 so it was late) so some things obviously sat for a bit before it was brought out. The breakfast cooked items (eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, etc) are very basic diner foods. Nothing outstanding but nothing to remember. The biggest issue I had was temperature and seasonings were lacking. I'm going to try again with some different items earlier in the day to see if there is a difference. All in all an ok spot

This is a chill little spot they play good tunes. You can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner which is a plus for us. I checked the reviews before I came the menu photos on top didn't show same prices that are on current menu fyi. I ordered huevos a caballo it was good. The hashbrown was too dry burnt an oil on it was bitter. I loved that the eggs were fresh, red sauce was bland. My family really enjoyed their Belgian waffles and Burrito. Staff was super nice and attentive.

The only turn-off was when we first walked in, it smelled like the sewers. Unsure if they were having plumbing issues, but it almost made me lose my appetite. We came here during breakfast time on the weekend and it wasn't busy. We were seated right away. Customer service was good. They were friendly and 3 different people came to check if we needed more coffee. We ordered their orange juice --which was freshly squeezed. That was a big plus! Their syrup was also served warm in the bottle. We tried their Nutella crepe which tasted like it was filled with creme cheese for $12.99 and it was $4.00 more to add sausage/ bacon and 2 eggs. Very tasty. We also ordered their Popeye omelet-- which was also very tasty. As for their price, it was a little more on the higher end price for what they had to offer-- in my opinion. It seemed like a lot of their average breakfast price was about $18/ plate. There are lots of parking, so no need to worry about that. Overall, it was pretty good.

I love this place!! But I'm so disappointed about the new hrs. Closing @3 and on a Saturday. I spent 30 min or more gathering orders and putting it in to find out their closed. It lists closing @ 9pm on maps. I feel like this is very bad business on their part. Of all days to close early.... Saturday? What restaurant does this? So was... one of my top 5. I can't imagine what the Canyon Hills Community thinks.

Food is over priced for the quality. I got the cinnamon French toast and one piece was more of a heavy dough cinnamon roll and 2nd piece was a dense and heavy piece of bread. I wouldn't call that French toast more like a hard loaf of bread. I probably wont be back.

We waited a long time before someone came out to seat us. It was not busy and only about 5 others there. Most of the tables needed to be cleaned/ cleared though a few were clean, but not offered. And they stayed dirty throughout most of the time we were there. Food was basic, burgers were dry, ordered onion rings, but was brought fries. Waitress never offered drink or coffee refills, we had to ask. Slow, slow service. We had to ask for the bill after a long wait. Dessert was not offered. Staff was polite, but need basic training. Won't visit again.

This place was horrible when it opened. Now the food is better but service sucks. Also, they don’t honor their coupons. Had a 20% off and my bill was 45 without tax. They refused to honor it for my whole bill. Really! Said my daughters mean didn’t qualify. Nothing on it said no kids meals. They said not valid on discounted meal. Her meal was not discounted, it’s less money for less food. Hey they really want to lose a customer over $2. No skin off my back. You just lost a customer for being cheap.

Ordered some breakfast this morning via DoorDash. The food arrived within a reasonable time but everything is undercooked and unappetizing. The whole point of getting food delivered is so you do not have to cook.... however, we’re over here having to re-cool EVERYTHING! The French toast was so soggy that you could literally ring it out to dry. Extremely disappointed.

Ordered through grub hub this time and it came in a timely fashion. However this experience was VERY different than a few weeks ago. The gravy with the country fried steak was filled with lumps of dry flour. My chicken and waffles were the dryest things I've ever eaten until I noticed the bottom of the to go container had deteriorated as of it was reheated in the microwave from yesterday, completely inedible, sad morning.

Edit: love this place, but changed from 5 stars to 1 star because they changed their hours. They are no longer open for dinner and that’s when I come. The new hours are 7a-3p. So needless to say they just lost my business because I have been coming here regularly for 5 years during my dinner break at work. I’ve been coming here regularly for about 5 years now. Most of the staff knows me, some even know what I want to order. The staff is always excellent, never rude or anything like that, food is always good. I’d say the only complaint I have, which is trivial, is the ribeye steak often has too much fat on it. Aside from that, I love this place and will continue to give them my business.

Wow. I understand why I've never heard of this restaurant... it sucks. Service is terrible. I would understand if they were busy...but with staff walking around and so many emty tables, it's hard to explain why Service is so bad. Two of us received our food a full 5 minutes before the rest of us
