Marie Callender's restaurant in Lancaster has become a favorite dining spot for me. Today it was the Frisco Burger, but other nights have included beef stroganoff, their signature pot pie, or their great deli sandwich. Their cornbread with chili or coffee is always a treat. It is a pleasure to give them another 5 star rating.

I went for a banana cream pie.. When I went to my car, 🙄😫 My alarm would not open my car.... After trying for a few minutes I went back inside to ask the cashier in the bakery if I can leave the pies there while I Uber home for my spare alarm fob... She being Very kind , caring and friendly, After telling her my story she was more than willing to hold the pies for me till I returned... After I returned & got my pie from her, she continued to have excellent customer service.. Thank you Marie Calendars!!! Then sadly when I got to where I was going....I dropped the pie🤪

I liked the look of the restaurant. The pot pie meal is very rich and filling to say the least. Also they are known for their pies, so I always have to get a slice when I visit. I would without a doubt visit again, and would have no problem recommending it to others..

Marie's is a known quantity and serves food of a consistent quality. What differentiates them from one another is the quality of their service. Each time I've been here (generally lunch, occasionally breakfast and dinner), this restaurant has especially good service. If you need your pie or cornbread fix, this is the place to go!

Fresh, delicious food, pleasant staff and relaxing atmosphere. Large portions at a reasonable price. The pies are scrumptious. I recommend ordering a whole pie to enjoy at home.

We were there late. The food was great but the service was lacking. Our waitress paid continuous attention to the table next to us. But didn't even stop by ours when she went to their's. The food was good as usual.

Thanksgiving feast order. Was handled very smoothly and the staff was friendly. The meal was easy to warm up and saved me time that I spent with my family instead of in the kitchen.

Service was friendly and fast. The pot pie was very good with a crust out of this world. The peach pie was excellent not too sweet. I don't like the pie crust, but I enjoyed everybody of this one.

We just stopped by to pick up one of their delicious pies to take home. (Did you know that their French apple pie is VEGAN???). Service was good, and the pie was tasty as always.

I simply LOVE the food and service here! I wish there were more around the country. One if my favorite parts of visiting California is getting to eat at a Marie Callender's. Great food at a decent price!...and the pies! ...oh lordy...THE PIES!!!....MMMmmm...MERCAAAAAY...

Maria Callender's is one of the most underrated restaurants in the AV. Staff is so nice and food is consistent and great! The Shepherd's Pie was awesome with the mashed potato on top and the Beef Stroganoff is so tasty and the steak in it has perfect, slightly red wine taste, so tender! Perfect everytime, I've had it at least 5 times in the last 3 months! Love this place!

The food was good; however the menu was a little deceiving. They gave me a separate smaller menu which led me to believe my burger came with a slice of pie the way it was marked so I ordered the two whole pies to go as I had planned and also ordered an extra slice which I believed to have been included in my meal. The small slice I received cost me the same price as the two whole pies I had ordered. If I had known my slice was not included in my meal, I would have either ordered another while pie, or not ordered the slice at all since I knew I was taking home two whole pies. Edited to add, the menu was not deceiving, my order was supposed to come with a piece of pie. This issue was resolved during my next visit to the location after I brought up what had happened during my previous visit. Apparently, they do not monitor their reviews, but when the issue was mentioned, and they were aware of the error, they quickly and politely took care of it. I will be updating my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars. I believe everyone makes mistakes sometimes, but when the mistake is acknowledged and kindly corrected, the correction should be appreciated.

It was my first time here and it was amazing. I know this place is known for its selection of delicious pies but the food is also extremely tasty. There are meal options to choose from if you're dining with others. I got the 2 for $40. That meant we both got an appetizer, an entree and a slice of pie. It's worth it.

We were thrilled to find a Marie Callender's on our trip to Death Valley. We've loved their food since young and are sad to see so many closing. Our server, Estivalis, went beyond the beyond to make sure we had a great visit, we felt so welcome we'll be back on the return trip. Thank you! Still the best pie around!

Decent selections of pies. I had the lemon cream cheese which was pretty bomb and the german chocolate which had bits of coconuts in it. Pretty good overall, really nice if you Wanna bring something quick for desserts. Price range is like 16-18 per pie taxes add an extra two buck i think.

C
Caleb Ritenour

I was very impressed by both the quantity and quality of their food, and how good their service was. Their pies were excellent, and the waitress was very helpful. I also had a burger on sourdough, and it was filling and not greasy. As a bonus, they have good jazz

This Lancaster, CA location has some of the MOST non abrasive ATTENTIVE waitresses around. The food was really tasty too! I had the fried green beans appetizer and a filling breakfast scramble. Yum, yum, triple yum. I saved room for dessert and tried the red velvet pie. It didn't look like the picture but still a sweet treat.

I absolutely love this place when I was pregnant! There pie of course is the bomb and then they have this chicken pot pie thing and a salad bar, and I'm telling you if you have an elderly person visiting or just regular family or if you are pregnant it is the perfect place to go. Perfect comfort food and they are so nice. Excellent prices

This place is amazing. A little slice of home comfort food and pie. The best pies ever. I had lemon meraigne. Also had the most delicious beef dip sandwich. There is a really cute gift and pie shop in the front that sell the neatest stuff. We will return.

I had a great experience. The food was nice. The people were nice. Shout out to our waitress, Sivan. She made our dining experience great. The cornbread is why I'll be back for sure. (Insert pic of Homer Simpson drooling).

We had a fabulous experience here. Our waitress was Maria. She made our experience here worth coming back again. She was so sweet. She was perfect. She was on top of everything. She answered honestly and gave opinions which helped my choices and I’m so glad I went with her recommendations. I had fried shrimp, mashed potatoes and corn bread. The portions were humongous. Husband loved his meal. They were great. The restaurant was nice and clean inside. You are seated away from other tables so you feel safe. It’s very sanitary.

My wife and I had a great dining experience here. We were seated promptly. Had an attentive waitress who was just on it. We didn't want for anything. Food was delivered quickly, and it was delicious. The pies we had were sinful and were the perfect end to a great meal. A great place to catch a bite.

The Sunday brunch is a nice place to share a meal with a good friend. I like brunches because, there is no waiting for the server or your meal. Less interruptions to great conversation. The servers at this particular Marie Callender's are great. My coffee cup was full the entire time. Extra napkins without asking. The food is really good. A lot of variety. All the food was hot and fresh. I had eggs, biscuits and gravy and bacon and a waffle with blueberries. All of my choices were prepared perfectly. It's never overly crowded. Good atmosphere. Fair prices for what you get. Clean bathroom. This spot even has a cute little gift shop. Highly recommended. I will go back again and again.

Made reservations for Xmas Eve, we were on time, but they lost our reservation. But surprised us by seating us immediately,( it was very busy ), and in a booth and very nice location. Our server was very attentive and did not disappear. The food was delicious as usual, and brought to us very quickly. All around, a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this dining establishment.

We love this location. The togo order area is always super fast and friendly. The pies all the way down to the dinners are delicious and tastes like a homemade delicacy. This year we ordered the Thanksgiving feast. It was some of the best traditional eating that we've had in a long time as we don't normally cook turkey and trimmings. The reheating process was super easy and we were both more than happy with the dinner. Being nine months pregnant I really appreciate the help in the kitchen and appreciate everyone at Marie Callendar's for making our Thanksgiving holiday especially yummy. Update: We had their brunch and it was delicious!!!! The staff was so friendly and attentive!! The scrambled eggs were so fluffy and tasty! I also had a croissant on the side with the cinnamon butter and it was so soft and fabulous! We loved everything we tried and will definitely be back!!

THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I HAVE EATEN AT! The food is beyond incredible, it tasted beyond good, good selection of drinks, some of the kindest staff I have ever met. And if you see a girl with very distinct makeup she is so nice. She was on top of everything, and knew about all the food. The place is clean and beautiful. And even after they closed and we were still eating they didn't kick us out. Definitely recommend!

First time eating at this Homestyle chain with pies. I got the meatloaf sandwich on sourdough, fries , salad, potato soup, and a slice of pecan. The items was wholesome and filling. The staff was gracious and attentive. Really enjoyed my visit.

It was really nice and fancy, also a more quiet place than others, great food and service. On a more personal note, I've never had such an awesome, natural-tasting Strawberry Lemonade! Thank you so much, Marie Callenders, our time spent their was very relaxed and enjoyable!!😍💖🥳

Nice quaint diner, with good helpful service. The food was good and a good selection on the menu . Separate menu for drinks where there is a decent selection of local and international wines and beers. Also a wide selection of cakes and pies. Either sit and enjoy your meal in the booths or at the bar, there's also an adjoining cake shop which doubles up as a souvenir shop.local papers can be purchased at the entrance and also a smoking bin outside for smokers. I don't think I've once had a bad meal here and the staff have been great with their tips and advisories for the local area .only bad thing I can think of is , I thought the sizzler came to you hot sizzling and spitting , but each one I've had here does not.

Very good American fare, but it seems like the pie prices are reaching an all-time high. Price today for a Razzelberry pie is $15.19. That's about twice what it should be!! Long gone are the reasonable prices of the past. WE ARE NOT going to pay that much for a pie! As long as these prices are in effect we will NOT be buying a pie from them. NO WAY NO HOW!

K

All of the food is always delicious! Service is great, friendly staff, only complaint is that my beverage orders have only been correct 50% of the times. I usually just drink whatever they bring me though, it's not that big of a deal.

E

Was very nice food. Hot and delicious. I had the beef stroganoff and mom had the breakfast smasher. Decor is nice just needs to be varnished and someone needs to seriously dust the blinds. Was nasty filled with dust. Server made our drinks wrong.

D
Daniel Hartness

Very nice for what I was expecting. Good food. A little bit of attitude from the waitress at first but she must have just been frustrated because service got better. About a twenty minute wait witch wasn’t too bad but with 3 kids it was more then I would have liked. Not perfect but not bad. Thank you.

S

Good place for "home style" meals. Good variety and of course a wide selection of fresh made pies. We ordered ahead while sitting in traffic and was ready and warm when we picked it up.

My second time at a Marie Callender. Very good food. Service was lagging in attentiveness, given, it was afternoon rush. It was because of the attitude of waitress that I removed a star. As soon as a coupon is mentioned, her demeanor changed, causing a pleasant meal experience to end up in bad taste.

D
Dionne

The Beef Stroganoff was good, however their side salad left a lot to be desired! The salad had 1 diced tomato and 1 crouton. I have not had Marie Callender' s in years. We walked in and ordered take out. From start to finish we had our food in about 10 mins.

B
Barbara Novinger

No hostess. Walked in until we found a waitress who very kindly sat us down and helped us. It was cold and the ceiling fans made it colder. My elderly mom and I enjoyed our breakfast of scrambled eggs with onions and bacon and waffles. Very generous portions and even gave me more orange juice to go. Hard to get wifi to locate it on the 14 and wished they had had a sign to help us find it. No handicapped parking was available. Mom was a trooper and said it's good for me to walk. She is recovering from surgery to her colon. No cocoa. 👎 but all and all food was good just a bit bland.

J
Jim Babiak

Food is usually quite tasty here. The major drawback is that their price/portion ratio BEFORE inflation hit was high, now it's obviously...(you get my point). Always have received excellent service here for the past 30+ years!!

A
Alisa Rodriguez

We like it here always in am. Carol is the best. Time and again the folks here are courteous and friendly. Prices and food quality are superior to the competition. Besides the menu options; u wont go wrong when ordering chicken pot pie from here (available after 11 am.), enjoy!

J
Jimmy Tehee

Seated in a timely manner by a nice gentleman who apologized for the wait. Which was only 10min after seating a party of 15+. Waitress was polite prompt service, refills, offer to remove dishes and brought us dessert. Excellent experience we will be back.

V
Vivian Neilson

Seven of us to have dinner at 5pm. The restaurant was virtually empty, maybe 2 other tables. Took over 30 minutes to move tables together to accommodate us. Water was brought and we were ignored for another 20 minutes. Still the same other folks in the store. Finally she took our orders but didn't refresh drinks. Food finally got to us..hot and good. Trying to get to go containers was another wait, getting the pies that were bought to go was crazy and one pie that was supposed to be chocolate cream miraculously was cherry when it got home. It was well after 8 when we got home. It was a mixed bag so take your chances.

V
Valerie E

The food was excellent and Jessica was our server for a party of 12. She did an excellent job. No one helped her in any way to serve us. Not even to refill water glasses! The area that we had requested (because it would be quieter for our group) was still not available to us after waiting for 1/2 hour. That was after making the reservation more than 2 weeks ago and confirming yesterday. I could see Jessica waiting on numerous other tables. I do not understand why she had so many tables to serve, without help. Again, the food was good, Jessica was an excellent waitress, and the wait times were awful, including the time to get our food after we ordered. That has always been a problem at this Marie Callender's. In the past, we have waited for 20 minutes for our food, even if it was just dessert and coffee!

B
Brandi Fleeks

They no longer have the brunch buffet which is the only reason we went here on a Sunday. I had the California Eggs Benedict, which I didn't realized lacked canadian bacon/ham. So, while it was not terrible, I wasn't completely satisfied with it. Our server was nice.

Beef stroganoff, Marie Callender quality, pies and baked goods, in a very comfortable family restaurant.Reasonable priced.

Teresa Scott

Stroganoff, corn bread and pie was delicious. Great food for dinner but breakfast is not good. Parking can get tight especially if you drive a large vehicle. Shady guy hitting people up for money outside.

M

I went here for a Cheescake, and I expected a small one for around $20.00. I was told there was no small ones. So I had to pay over $40.00 for a large one. Now, anyone could understand if they are out. But what I don't understand is if everyone is not busy, why are there so many employees? Aslo, the service seems slow and they don't seem customer service oriented. The place is dusty. Maybe if there is not much to do until customers arrive, take care of the place, clean, sweep, mop, dust, etc, just cover or protect the cakes and pies before you do.

B
Bob Vitti

Started out well getting my order in; however, after the server brought my food, asked if I wanted cornbread and I replied "yes, thank you", I never saw her again. I finally flagged down another waitress and asked her for a piece of pie and my check.

N
Nancy Talbott

Disappointing this evening. I always consider Marie C’s to be a reliable place for after-theatre comfort food dinner or dessert. A few strange things that did not seem usual: I ordered hot chocolate, which came luke warm, and only 2/3 of a cup, with no whipped cream. I had to add two half-and-half to thin it down, as it was thick and soupy. The pie that I asked for warm was barely above room temp, served with an ice cold fork. ??? And the bill had an extra piece of pie which I had to ask to be removed. I’ll go again, but the quality tonight was barely average. :-(

D
Denise Walters

Marie Callender's re-opened today. It was very clean. It took about 10 minutes to be seated, we were the only customers there. Our server, Marissa, was very courteous as well as very nice. I'm giving 3 stars during to the chicken pot pie being less than hot as well as it tasting bland. The recipe might be new 🤷‍♀️ but I didn't like it. Neither did my nephew. Everything else was very good. Yes, I will return. 🙂🍽🙏🏻

N
Nita Duhart

Food was good, did not feel there was enough spice in my pot roast, mixed veggies were still crunchy and our plates were only warm. Not to busy, but had to wait for drinks. Waitress was nice though.

L
Lu Riv

Per my female guests the bathrooms were not up to par as they declined to use. The food was mediocre. Eggs Benedict was overcooked and potatoes undercooked. Coffee was weak. Waitress and service was excellent. However, cook needs retraining as cooking was pathetic. Pastries, bagels, pancakes excellent. One menu for Easter and this cook couldn't get it right. This Marie Callender's is so over rated and inconsistent. Their bakery is always spot on but their kitchen needs a real chef.

T
Toni Weber

It's winter time and they were freezing us all out! Plus they were working the few waitresses they had like dogs, poor girls were trying to do their best, but I only saw 3 and the restaurant was packed! The food was salty, I had asked for my food to be lightly fried and no salt, ha! Didn't get it and it had all kinds of salt and my Daughter's food was salty too.

B
Bob Rood

How did mine to have chicken pot pie but that was abruptly changed so I ended up having the Thai shrimp and it was just okay a little smaller in portion size than I was expecting. The cornbread came out hot and it was delicious

K
Kriss Vanderhyde

Marie's is still a good place for soup and cornbread and a piece of pie. Good old comfort food. Although service is random, sometimes great and sometimes bad. I see a lot of seniors so I wonder if they give a discount.

R
Ricky BObby

Food was really good but I wish they would clean up their presentation on the plate and serve more for what you pay! Gina was our server and she did an amazing job making my wife and I comfortable, really funny girl!!! Bought a pie but unfortunately the man in the bakery gave us the wrong one!!!!

S
Sweet B

called to verify pie I wanted was available. girl said yes, both with whip cream and meringue. got there to pick up pie with meringue. was told I would need to order in advance. nice of her to not mention this when I called. all with an indignant and righteous attitude. not nice service at all. guess I need to find the list of questions to ask.

D
Detra Simmons- McDonald

Service was very very slow, even though they weren't busy. I ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara in which contained 2 shrimp. On the bright side, the cornbread was very good. Marie Callender's in the frozen food section in better.

J
James Disbrow

It was a pretty bad experience for a Saturday night. They said they were out of pasta so no beef Stroganoff. So I asked for meat loaf dinner. But out of that too. So I got a steak that was pretty good except undercooked for what I had ordered. I gave it two stars because my wife liked her Turkey dinner.

R
Richard Huston

I used to like going here to get a pie. The other day four of us went to Marie Callender's to get pie and coffee for dessert. We ended up getting three coffee's, three pieces of pie, one scoop of ice cream and a $17 dinner( one of us was still hungry after dinner). The total bill was just short of $55. Just coffee, pie and one scoop of ice cream just over $30. It seems that it would have just been a better idea to buy two whole pies, for like $8 each and just go home and make coffee . Live and learn.

M
Marx Hausen

It was disappointing. Went to the Sunday Brunch which was priced way too high for the variety and taste. The person preparing the ommelette acted like he could not speak English although we only had to point at the items we wanted. When prepared, it did not use real cheese but imitation and was watery. In getting a second one, it was no better. The sausages were watery, The waffles were not fresh, but from a box and most likely the microwavable type. The pie dessert pieces were so small that all of them has fallen loosely on their saucer that you could not differentiate between the types. The waitress was very nice and invited us to come back and order something different next time. But for $35 (for two and not counting tip), there won't be a next time. We used to go to the M. Callendar's in Studio City and it was great. Now after this experience, I am not sure if I want to try the Studio City one again.

B
Brandon Deardorff

I spent $34 for two basic pumpkin pies, and they were nothing special at all. Way way overpriced. Didn't rate lower because they tasted fine, but man I'm never buying one again. They were fairly small, and tasted like any other pumpkin pie you can get at any grocery store.

V
Victor Ulloa

The price of pies here and the quality just isn't doing it for me.i spent too much on two pies and they were horrible tasting. I rather would have and should have bought the ones at the market. They taste better. I didn't feel it was justified and so I haven't and will not be back. No thanks Might as well as bought Graham crackers and slapped some chocolate pudding on it, looked exactly like that and tasted no different.

j

We were looking for something quick and on the way home after a long event at AV College, it was really mediocre. Service was slow, my wife's salmon was dry, my daughter ordered meatloaf, and it was like coagulated meat gelatin. Kinda like when you know you have a fake chicken nugget. Meat loaf is cheap and easy to make should be better quality at a home style restaurant. Probably wont be back here again

C
Carol Anna

Ordered soup and cornbread but when I got home, I had garlic bread. No one told me that my cornbread was substituted. I had to find out when I got home.

J
Joe M

This is a tough one. We ate Thanksgiving dinner here. The turkey and potatoes were great, but the other items were pretty bland and flavorless. We then ordered a piece of apple pie, but the waitress brought us peach pie. However, we loved it! It was so good, we stopped and bought two different pies as we left. Unfortunately, after we arrived home, we realized the pies were not nearly as good as what was served in the restaurant. I have loved Marie Calendar's pies for years, including last year, but not this time...

W
Wendy Kennedy

The food was great, but the service was bad. They got us seated pretty quickly because there was hardly any customers, but then left us sitting for 20-25 mins before finally coming back to take our drink order. We ordered our meals and that took forever to come out and when it did one of the people in our group got told they never ordered anything. When the 6 other people in our group heard him order. Then they finally come back with his food in hand trying to blame it on the fact that he ordered something completely different than the rest of us so they didn't think it belonged too our table.

S
Stephen Roll

First off, I had to wait approximately 5 minutes for anyone to seat us. I could not find any workers. I even walked into the restaurant area and did not see anyone working. We finally got seated by a rude guy. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie; they did not have any that is the only reason my wife goes there. If you're out of something that you're famous for, you should put a sign up stating that then the waitress was a little short with her because she needed to pick another item from the menu. When we received our dinners, The food was good, except the turkey sandwich was a little salte. Then, when the bill came, it was twice as much as it should have been. It was the wrong bill. One more thing, it was too cold inside. Hay save money turn the A/C up.

R
RACHEL HARRIS

I purchased a ham and turkey for Thanksgiving dinner thinking my meal was going to be ready to eat but I had to come home and heat up for about 4 hours. Unfortunately my family didn't eat until 5:30. I could have purchased the items from the grocery store and prepared as usual. NEVER AGAIN

C
Cindy Brickner

Changed review 3-10-22. LEFT before seated. Waited 5 minutes in lobby before kid came from bakery to ask if we'd been helped. Waitress had breezed past 2x saying she'd be back, chatted extensively with solo male customer. Second group arrived. Kid zoomed onto floor, returned. Said they had one waitress on duty -- 15 minutes before they could seat us. Place was 10% full at 730 on a Thurs pm. Wrong answer. Seat the customers, tell them the situation, get them a beverage. Don't tell them to stand in foyer for fifteen minutes when seats are empty. Early Feb 22. Food consistently good. Prices fair. Slow to seat us. But good service after server was assigned. Rush hours should be avoided. We hit end of lunch into afternoon doldrums.

Service was exceptionally slow. The waitress was great but busy. It had to be the kitchen because no one was getting their food. We were there almost an hour and ended up getting our food to go.

We walked in and there was an elderly couple waiting for the hostess to return. The woman walked into the restaurant looking for a server to get the hostess and was told someone would be right over. The man remarked they had been told that ten minutes before. Another couple walked in and was waiting behind us and still no one had come to help after five minutes. I had to call the restaurant and inform them that three couples were waiting to be seated. The first couple went and sat themselves and eventually left. There were maybe 10 tables being serviced but I am unsure the number of servers. The manager was interviewing two potential servers and never bothered to apologize to us or the other party for the serious delay in being seated. The couple that left called to complain. I know this because we were seated near the kitchen and could hear a server inform the manager who was interviewing at the next table. I will never go back.

The meatloaf was refrigerator cold on the inside and had a sliminess all over it like it sat for a week. The lemon cream pie was soggy and had a sour flavor as if it were expired. So gross. On the flip side the waitress got our order right by the 3rd time. She was nice unlike the one working the other night

This was my first and last time at this location today. I ordered a beef stroganoff dinner plate and a marie's meatloaf dinner plate both at $18.99. Also got a whole banana cream pie for $16.79 I believe. I placed the to go order and waited for about 15 mins which wasn't too bad. Once I get home and try the food the quality is not the same as restaurants in LA which is where I moved from. The meatloaf was pretty bland and the stroganoff a bit oily. As for the pie there was hardly any sweetness to it and was not that firm when picked up. The worst part of it all was that I checked my bank account statement later in the day and said I was charged $70.39 when I only payed around $50 at the store which is almost $20 overcharge. I am planning on calling tomorrow when they open to talk with management. I keep having horrible experiences with restaurants out in the antelope valley seems they don't care about quality or the customers.

Went for a meal and pie- the meal felt like it shrunk from a few years ago. The apple pie we both ordered was more like applesauce pie. There were 2 thin slices of apple and the rest was applesauce. Disgusting, and I wonder how they can stay open when the thing they are known for was so lacking?? We have been unhappy with the quality of food for years but this will be the LAST slice of pie I will get from them. So disappointing

We waited for our table and we only have 4 adults and 2 children. The waitress with the blonde and ponytail and glasses kept skipping us and gave a family of 8 their table. We waited for 15 minutes. So we went to iHOP. Very poor customer service. We will never dine here again with that waitress.

My friend and I were seated after waiting ~5 min. One gentleman and 3 couples were seated after us. All of them have drink orders and food orders prior to us. Almost 20 minutes to give our drink order (1 hot tea, 1 cup of water) another 10 minutes before food order and then 30 minutes for a piece of pie (warmed up please,_- it wa delivered cold) a cup of soup, a side salad) 20 minutes after we had to ask for more water..... yep won't be returning

I just ordered pie. One was cheesecake, and the other pecan pie. Both in my view was not good. The cheesecake was frozen and the pecan pie was really thick and didn't have enough pecans. The service was good but the atmosphere was like I was in Goodfells or Godfathers. Had the feel old New York bar feel.

Food was under cooked and salmon was over cooked, party of 4 only 2 of our party were able to eat as the other waited for the mistakes to be fixed. Not busy at all and yet employee's scattered like there was no organization, was never offered more coffee. Just a cold shoulder place. Kinda sad it used to be a great restaurant.

Upon arrival, a staff member stated I will be seated shortly. I waited for 15 min. Another couple walked in and waited an additional 5 minutes and became frustrated. The asked for someone to service us, and names were put on the list. Once seated, I waited for someone to service us. Finally a gentleman approached us and asked if we wanted something to drink. From there, we waited longer for someone to return. The gentleman returned again and took our order. We received our food but no one serviced us afterwards. I repeatedly observed another waitress serving her tables and making several trips, yet no one came to our table. Finally, a female waitress came by and asked if we needed anything. I asked for more salad dressing and a change in the meal order as the grilled cheese my daughter ordered had process cheese. After waiting an additional 18 minutes, I became frustrated. The waitress comes back and says, “ I forgot your dressing.” I informed the waitress the wait was too long and I want everything to go. I picked out the pies we wanted. It took 16 minutes and she did not take my credit card to pay for my meal. Therefore, I waited again. Once I returned home, I received the Wrong damn pie?!!!

Worst experience I have had. I took my 79 year old mom for a early dinner on February 12, 2017. When we entered the location, no hostess was found. We waited approximately 5 minutes before i walked into the restaurant to find a dishwasher guy to get help. eventually we sat down, a waitress sat us and asked us for drinks, my glass had a chip on the mouth piece as did another customer next to us. After approximately 10 minutes were asked for our food order. The food was hot and delicious, however the service sucked. I had to ask for my bill, the manager came by and retrieved it. I am not a picky guy, however, in the past the service was always good. The manager and employees need some training on customer service. We went at about 1600 hours.

The service was slow and the food was bland and cold when it came. Ordered mac n cheese for my son off their kids menu and had to remind the waitress the other items their kids menu comes with (garlic bread, slice of pie). The apple pie was disgusting (which sucks because that's my favorite flavor) and the peacan pie was sickeningly sweet.

This place "normally" has good service and food. Today, they dropped the ball big time. I wouldn't typically give a mediocre or bad review off of a singular experience. But it was clear that the whole process failed. From waiting 15 plus minutes to be seated in a less than half full restaurant, to being placed at a table not suitable for our party, to receiving cold food or no food items at all, to the manager that didn't seem to care, our experience was awful. The manager failed to identify herself or take proactive steps to correct things. She simply sat in an isolated back corner of the establishment disconnected from the operation of the business. Her only solution was to not charge us. We didn't complain to receive anything free. We complained because we loved the place and hated to see it fall off so severely. Hopefully others will have a better experience.

We went for breakfast. We were told it would be a 5 to 10 minute wait. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, meanwhile 5 different families had finished and left. When we were seated the hostess brought us water and coffee and said the waitress would be with us soon. We waited 7 minutes and noticed that people that were seated after us were giving their food orders to their waitress. No one had come to our table. I then went to the hostess and asked here if we even had a waitress since no one had come and others were being attended. She said she was going to check on it. We had been there for a total of 35 minutes hoping for breakfast, needless to say we left. The restaurant was half empty. They need more people and better service.

I do not know what happened to the quality of everything on this menu over the last two decades. At one time Marie Callender's had the best pies you could buy; now they are half the size it seems and three times the price. I used to enjoy the pot pies here which now tastes like they are frozen. As good as a service is here, good service does not improve poor quality of menu items.

Google allows me to rate food (1/5), service (4/5) and atmosphere (4/5). But I rated it an overall 1/5 because the food is what most people even go to restaurants for--we ate hardly any of it. While we experienced amazing service, having stopped by our table multiple times, as well as an amazing atmosphere, appearances were very deceiving in this instance... the meatloaf looked like fake meat and was covered in a gravy--a strange choice (cracker barrel's is infinitely better). The food was extremely salty which is awful for my blood pressure. My boyfriend had to get a replacement meal because his alfredo tasted awful as well, with onions chopped up in the sauce--another strange choice that doesn't pair well at all. He then tried the meatloaf as a replacement dish but also disliked it. It came with steamed veggies, which probably should've been steamed a bit longer, and also were completely flavorless. I'm fairly certain they were once frozen, which tasted as such. lmao. We both had a slice of pie for dessert, which did taste great. Not really any complaints, there. In addition, I woke up at 5am with HORRIBLE diarrhea... thinking it was from the pie I ate. I also had waves of nausea afterward, which subsided after an hour and a half. It's 10am now, and I feel 90% better. If you're thinking about going here for dinner ($20 per entree on average), STAY AWAY. The only thing Marie Callender has going for it are their desserts. And as I said earlier, I believe it's what gave me diarrhea.

Went in today for Mother's Day, and ordered the meatloaf, it was alright, I did not like that they had a set menu list, it was ridiculously priced, my family members had the fettuccine and it was bland and had watery sauce, very unappetizing, however, I didn't eat all my meatloaf meal and took the rest home, later that night I decided to eat it and I found egg shells in it, was shocked and very disappointed, threw it in the garbage will never eat there again, only thing they have good there is pie, don't waste your money, go somewhere else to eat.

Had the worst Strawberry pie (my favorite) it was watery, strawberries mushy, and crust was mush. Happy Mothers Day to me. Ultimate waste of $24.18 in the trash. The manager I spoke to did not offer a voucher with proof (picture) he asked me to bring the mushy pie @ almost 8:00 at night to exchange it. Not good customer service being I own a business. You tell me, would you be upset?

Service was great! Food was very, very bland ,and distasteful; Almost as though it was a dietary option. We totally wasted out money. Adding a photo to show all I can stand to eat.

Food was mediocre at best. Pies are still good but not worth the price. Our waitress was what pushed for this review. She took my daughter's plate before she was done and hardly apologized. No, she was not new she was not clueless, she was just rude. Asked her for a bag to go and it seemed like she took it out of the recycling bin of bags. The first bag was flimsy and I had a couple of boxes to take home, I was worried about it falling apart, so I asked her for another and she got a bit annoyed. She questioned why and after I explained it to her, she got another but it seemed like she was the one paying for it because she was reluctant. Not going back, i was completely disappointed.

First of all, I have always like eating at Marie Callendar's. This actually was my first job when I was Teen. But after yesterday I won't be going back. I bought their shrimp and chicken carbonara pasta and their artichoke dip. I included a snapshot of the pasta from the website to show the difference between how much chicken you think you're going to get and how much chicken you will get. I got only 4 pieces of chicken on my dinner plate. And then the artichoke dip was a joke! I can make artichoke dip better than that. And if you want to go get some from somewhere go to BJ's. Sorry Marie Callender's you ruined it for me today. to be honest I'm really tempted to videotape ordering this again and put it on YouTube to show you how much a rip-off this is.
