Food was outstanding, big portions and absolutely delicious. Lovely staff and a really relaxing atmosphere. Needed an afternoon snooze after such a lovely Sunday Lunch.

can honestly say one of the best Sunday lunches I've had in some time... highly recommend. staff were polite friendly and attended to all our needs with a welcoming smile and attitude. food was amazing. cocktails were something else... all round 10 out of 10... Will definitely be booking a table again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My second time here and the absolutely beautiful food, everything was hot, great portions, good quality & choice and reasonably priced. Patrick and staff were great, really friendly and made a brilliant atmosphere even with the restaurant being really busy. Can’t wait to come back 🩷

Been to this place 3 times now and the food, service and atmosphere is always brilliant. We were given a new sandwich menu this time and wow. My friend and I shared a fish goujen sandwich which was beautiful. We also shared a halloumi, smoked cheese and hash brown sandwich which was absolutely out of this world. We will 💯 be back and I would 💯 recommend this lovely place.

I had lunch there today for the second time. Absolutely enjoyed it. I had the special quiche which was very tasty. It was very busy so was advised there could be a 10 to 15 min delay, which was fine as I had time to get a drink and peruse the menu. I was impressed with the service so I asked the waitress for her name so I could mention her (Angela)

Our third visit to Boundary House for lunch and on each occasion all the meals served to our group have been superb. Portions are also on the generous side. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they create a great informal atmosphere. Any requests for slight changes to the menu dish were taken care of without any problem. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Went for a mid-week evening meal, really good service, excellent drinks selection and cocktail menu, food was very good, came quickly, well presented and delicious. Will visit again!

Today after the funeral of our beloved Dad the Boundary House were amazing. The staff were the loveliest people and a massive mention to Paddy the manager who was so refreshing, he made everyone smile and he even sang an Irish song which was fabulous, Paddy you turned a very sad day into a wonderful day! Thank you Steve for the amazing food, I can highly recommend the Boundary House!

Patrick was the host with the most. So very friendly, pleasant and helpful. He was very attentive to the needs of every table. The music was great, not too loud so you can't hear yourself think just great. The food was served promptly and was very tasty. We will return.

I visited here for the first time. Food was lovely and I very much appreciated how gluten-free friendly it is. Most dishes could be adapted to be gluten free. The staff were very friendly and having dietary requirements didn’t seem like a hindrance to them like it does in some places 😊

A fantastic pub set in a semi-rural location. The quality of the food is impressive and the service is very attentive. Hugely recommended. This place is exceptional. Paddy is an amazing front of house who always goes out of his way to make you feel right at home and his waiting team are all polite, friendly and efficient. It’s part of what brings us back time after time. Then there’s the food which is always on point and not once have we had a bad meal. We will continue to be returning guests as a result of this.

Just had a lovely Sunday dinner , and my husband fish and chips. Very tasty , good service, friendly staff and the young man who served us (who may be a manager ) sorted any issues to make it the perfect meal, would highly recommend and we will be back .

Excellent meal and service here. All five in our group had different main courses and all were excellent; local produce, good portion sizes, and served hot! The fish pie was full of chunky fresh fish and seafood. Would recommend for a family meal out!

Such a wonderful place for a Sunday roast. Staff were polite and friendly and very attentive. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of us ordering - all piping hot and tasted delicious. The cauliflower cheese is amazing - so much so, we asked for more. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch (would also recommend booking in advance). It does get quite busy, so the car park fulls up pretty quick. We managed to find a spot in a lay by just a short walk away. We will return. X

We visited last night as a party of 12 for mums 60th birthday. Food and service was excellent. Just want to give a special mention to our waiter paddy. Excellent customer service brilliant with our kids too. P.s we will always still call you Stan 😄 Thankyou so much for looking after us all.

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had! Very nicely done and with all the trimmings. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

My first visit and have to say it was beautiful. Beef bourguignon was amazing as was the venison pie. Both came with the best mash I’ve ever had. Service was outstanding. All our table was happy with their choices. We were so full after main courses so couldn’t manage a dessert but will definitely book again. 👍

We went as a party of 13 and it was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a restaurant. Patrick was fantastic and made our evening so much more enjoyable. The food was great and considering there was so many of us nothing was wrong and all meals were cooked to a high standard. A tad gutted they don't do the Xmas burger anymore as that was my go to but other than that you the selections are really good for all.

We had the best lunch today and Pat looked after us so well. It was my dad’s birthday and they kindly made sure his favourite dish of fish and chips was reserved as we had a late table before booked. Not only was the food and service amazing the fabulous the chef actually stayed on later to make sure my daughter’s steak was cooked to perfection as she was running late! Thank you Pat, Chef and all the team we will be back xxx

Had yet another amazing dinner at the Boundary House. Place never fails to deliver on the quality of the food. Patrick took great care of us and was very patient (there were 13 of us). Fantastic service from him and great banter. He’s Scottish but that wouldn’t put us off returning 🙂

We’ve just left and we loved it! Even though we were a big group the service, food and whole experience was fab! 10star review especially considering we are the hardest bunch of people to please too!! We will definitely return!! All of us!! X

Lunch with family. Great food selection, and lots for the 3 year old. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

We had absolutely great time, service was spot on meal absolutely delicious could not fault our time here. Please sort your menu out, reading it is not easy as it all in one paragraph and makes it hard to read.

We were a table of six in the bar area and we had the best afternoon. Some of us had Sunday Lunch which was delicious and plenty of everything the other meals off the menu were equally delicious. Desserts and Coffees were fantastic. We had the craic with the Manager who couldn’t do enough for us Thankyou. Would definitely recommend and we will come back here.

Had a very tasty lunch here today. Festive turkey, cheese and bacon on toasted sourdough plus my daughter had the seafood platter. Generous portions of fresh cooked food at a reasonable price. Very pleasant staff too.

We had a birthday celebration at the Boundary House. The food and service were excellent from start to finish. Patrick and the team were attentive and looked after us ensuring everything was perfect. They easily accommodated 14 of us and offered Gluten Free and Vegetarian options. Great experience and would highly recommend.

The best Sunday roast I have had in a long time! The meat was delicious and there were lots of sides. Puddings were ok, apple pie a bit dry. Nothing to race back for unlike the roast dinners. Only small thing I would change is having the fire going and candles on as it was a cold and dark autumn evening.

Upmarket country pub with a decent selection of 3-4 rotating hand pulled ales. We've dined here many times and have had varying experiences but our latest meal was very good. Prices are on the high side for pub food but generally the quality of the dishes reflect the higher cost. The scotch egg was average but the pie was outstanding as was the pork.

Lovely pub with great food. They have a good range of beers and wine, but they are over priced. The staff have always been friendly and there is always a good atmosphere in the pub.

The food was delicious, good menu choices. Service not brilliant very young staff unfriendly. Had a very loud group of girls behind us which spolit the atmosphere. Ask if could be moved said no. Could have at least said something to the group girls to quite down a little. Think need older staff with experience.

Lovely meal here on Saturday. Great choice of food on the menu. Service could have been better, we had been sent another tables food for one of the children & didn’t realise until the rest of our meals were served 15 minutes later! Signed up to their reward scheme & then on payment was told no one knew what to do so points could not be added. Messaged them 3 days ago as advised by the waiter but no response! Would return & recommend as the food was lovely

So nearly 5 stars throughout, but..... My burger was over cooked (almost a biscuit) daughters was cold (should have been put on the grill), french fries needed another minute in the fryer etc etc. Service was great until the Irish gent disappeared (he's a star) then it went down hill, we had to ask for a drinks order twice, the wait for our meal was easy to long without an apology, etc. etc. one more comment, I'm dyslexic and I found your menu one of the most difficult to read that I've seen in many years, shall type, black on white, poor spacing, small font.

The food is very nice. More gastro-pub type food rather than pub grub & this is very much reflected in the price at an average of £17 for a main with extra charge of £3 for sides. Pretty pricey I think. Just one point to make. The Barnsley chop is not a Barnsley chop. It is a lamb chop. A Barnsley chop is cut across the saddle to give you two chops joined together! Sadly, only one chop was served. The grilled hake was delicious but the squid ink cracker was very disappointing. A blackened prawn cracker which was hard to bite & not tasty. Give me prawn crackers any day! The place itself is well decorated with a lovely outside area. Perfect for Summer!

The halloumi starter on its own was incredible. Best halloumi I've ever had. The main was a let down for me personally but other people's food looked a lot nicer. I had the chicken kebab.

Not as good as last time im afraid. Starter lovely. Main courses fish and chips and burger not so good. Waited a while and slightly cool. Part of order wrong but nothing major. Havent been for a while as dont live locally. Visiting family and last time we visited food and atmosphere great.

What a shame. Not so many years ago, this spot was a regular haunt of my parents. Dad passed away earlier this year, and it's only recently that mum has felt up to facing the outside world again. The Boundary seemed like the place to go, for old time's sake. It would have been best left as a memory. Mum had the beer battered cod, which was decent if slightly undercooked. I had the chicken, which was very nice but the skinny fries were flaccid and lukewarm, they would have been disappointing in McDonald's. The biggest problem however, was the lacklustre service. On entering, we were welcomed by the greeter's back. Once shown to our table, we waited ten minutes before anyone bothered to ask us if we might like a drink. When the food arrived, it was delivered at arm's length, the waitress already turning on her heels as the plate landed on the table. We managed to win her attention to ask for ketchup, and a glass of wine. The ketchup arrived, the glass of wine didn't. I could see it sitting on the bar, but the waitress walked past it three times before I once again managed to get someone to look up. We were made to feel like we had diverted her from something far more important as once again the order was delivered at arm's length. The place wasn't particularly busy, with only half the tables in our section being occupied. On the way out, five members of staff were gathered around the greeter's plinth, partially blocking the exit as my 82 year old ma struggled past. Nobody even flinched, and there was not so much as a goodbye. I suppose I should have complained, but by that point, much like the staff, I couldn't be bothered. It used to be such a nice place. What a shame.

Ripped off on the food. Order a large platter, served a small, lied to it was a large. Love, I had the large 2 weeks ago you were completely uninterested when i said🤷‍♂️ burger tasted of nothing but salt. The pie had 3 pieces of meat in it. And cheesy chips had the smallest sprinkle of cheese on top could barely see it. Won't be back
