Such a welcoming cafe. Ruben and potatoes were delish and tasted like homemade food with attention to detail. The beer was generous and the staff were sooooo kind and gave you a feeling like you're home for Sunday dinner. Busy (a telling sign that others appreciate them too) but the smiles were endless. A must go-to for the taste of real food. A lot of pastries staring you down when you enter and even ORGANIC coffees to sip while indulging in those can't-take-your-eyes-off-of-them sweets! A wonderful experience with outside garden seating too!
My wife and I and our whole family have been coming here for more than 30 years and we could not be more pleased to keep coming back year after year. The food is excellent and service is great and caring. If you can find a better Duck dish anywhere, we would like to know where that is. These are talented people who know how cook and serve great food. REALLY!
We ate here tonight. It was the best German food I've had since my grandparents made German dishes 15 years ago. The schnitzel was amazing and so was the fresh snapper. We had wanted to stop for years and are sad that it took us so long to try this place. It did take some time but I appreciate that because it forced our family of five to slow down and enjoy the taste of our food. I look forward to going back and trying many more dishes as you can tell they are made with patience and no step is skipped. Our boys loved it too and couldn't even finish their chicken fingers because the kids meals were so big. We had a great time.
Homemade food made deliciously with love. Mom, dad and twin teenage boys run the restaurant and you almost get the feeling that you’re eating in their home. Definitely expect to wait for your food, but be patient and gracious towards this family because their food is totally worth the wait! We ordered coffee and two pastries (cream puff) to start (fantastic!) and ordered the Reuben, open-faced tuna, BLT and the spinach pie. We scraped our plates clean - a memorable meal!
We went for Thanksgiving this year for the first time but it will not be the last time. We were just delighted with our whole experience - just as we always are when we are able to get to their bakery. By the way, the white BBQ and Steak Sauce that we purchased when we were there last are both excellent. Back to Thanksgiving, we both had the turkey dinner and it was cooked to perfection. I do not think they could have done a better job on the turkey and dressing. Loved the bread served with the duck pate. We were right on time 1 PM and they were ready for us, no wait. Everything was just superb, and they are always so nice to interact with. We will go back next. We have been to the occasional dinner in the main restaurant and everything was divine. The bakey is excellent as well for lunch or breakfast. I adore the Pistachio Muffins, breakfast, and that great coffee,
I got the 16 oz prime rib dinner. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My husband got the beef stroganoff. It was nothing short of a work of art We also had the fried lobster appetizer. Also delicious
There are actually two stores in this location and they are all part of the same little enterprise. The bakery is just flat awesome. I’ve tried many of the confections and I can’t think of a single one that wasn’t wonderful. Next door is one of the finest German restaurants I’ve ever been to. The motif is elegant and the food is cooked to perfection. These owners have really gone out of their way to make the experiences here memorable and worth the telling.
We have been going here for years. I recently read the reviews. This is a wonderful Mom&Pop restaurant. This is fresh baked goods and delicious food cooked to order. IF YOU WANT FAST FOOD go to McDonald's. Go here if you want to sit relax and enjoy time with your family. The staff is wonderful but very busy. Believe me it is well worth the wait. Even the bread is baked fresh and the eclairs are superb.
We visited both the restaurant and the bakery. The restaurant is pleasant and features German specialties and a variety of chef prepared menu items. Prime rib special on weekends for $21. I had that, husband had schnitzel. Salad and fresh baked rolls. Excellent food and service with very nice wine and beer choices. No cheap fast food here. Good for a special evening meal. Also enjoyed the bakery next door in AM and for lunch. Pastries, bagels and great bread to take home. Best bratwurst rolls this side of Texas and a great Ruben with red cabbage. A good find for us and labor of love by owners.
Beautiful little place with amazing breakfast and bakery. The best smokey salmon beagle I ever eat was here. Stop by if you over there . Thank you !!
The food is very good! The pastries are VERY good. It is not cheap but you can tell they do not cut corners or use cheap ingredients. You can taste the quality of everything on the menu. You must take a loaf of bread home to enjoy later.
I LOVE coming here! Its such a great feeling to be welcomed and treated so nicely in own hometown everytime we come. This is a family owned and ran restaurant that keeps us coming back for many reasons! The food is amazing. I'm never had anything I didn't enjoy and the customer service is out of this world! They have went out of their way many times to make special dishes for my children, this reay hits a spot for me! And the desserts are exquisite! Everything truely is magnificent!
Our son is at Stetson and we never miss a stop at Karlings when we are in town. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the menu is extensive. They make the best mushroom wine sauce I’ve ever had (try the schnitzel, it’s out of this world!) The bread is to die for! Prime rib on Friday & Saturday nights is great as well. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
I have only had the pleasure of dining in once but I can say that the food is incredible. The cucumber sour cream dish that is served is so amazing - I have never had such delicousness before. When I was there several months back, they gave us a sample bite of their banana bread. Since then, I have been hooked! I drove up to Karlings - 130 miles one way just to buy their banana bread - it is that good! The owner was so awesome that she let me come in before they opened, so I could get back on the road and drive another 130 miles home. This bread is well worth it!!!!!! While there, I sampled the chocolate mouse as well. It was slightly chilled and super thick. It wasn't a "traditional" mouse I have had before - instead, this was something straight from a dream! On my next trip up, I will certainly be adding it to my order!! Thank you Karlings for being so awesome!!
The best Rueben around. Not deli sliced, but 1/4 in thick sliced...of the most tender & juicy corned beef. Amazing sandwich! Alot of thought & care goes into what comes out of their kitchen. Works of art. Friendly staff that enjoys what they do & it shows. Not the fastest service, but worth the wait.
What A Pleasant Surprise! Wow! Walked into a Clean & Cozy Atmosphere. It got Better from there…. Friendly family owned business with Delicious food. Everything is made to order & the savory flavors are something to brag about! Served warm banana bread upon arrival. Then a basket with piping hot dinner rolls. Very tasty! I started off with the cabbage/kielbasa soup & for dinner, I had The pretty as a picture & oh so tender beef stroganoff with mushroom brown sauce served in a homemade puff pastry-Will definitely get this again! I opted for warm red German cabbage & spatzle as my sides. Both wonderfully flavored. Hubby had the tender veal imperial with lobster/crab champagne sauce that he loved with fresh green beans & potato pancake. We ended full but decided to try the baked Alaska desert-glad we did very flavorful! While we dined the twin brothers played piano which was a nice touch to our experience. We can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal. And will also try twin brothers coffee —bakery/restaurant next door. Thank you Lily!
Had a great brunch, starting with the lovely lady behind the counter. All the food was home made and amazing. We will definitely be back.
Upon a failed plan for Old Sugar Mill Pancake House (the state park was at capacity plus a 4 hour wait), we happened upon this adorable, homey breakfast/lunch spot. We got the traditional breakfast with coffees, a cinnamon roll, and a pistachio muffin. Everything tasted amazing, we specifically loved the homemade bread for toast. We are so glad we stopped and found this place instead!
This little cottage makes you feel like your at grandma's house in Germany. This place has some of the best home cooked food I have had since my Grandmother was on this earthy plain. The couple who run this little bakery are some of the sweetest people you could ever meet. The service is very friendly and the food is so worth it. The éclairs alone are my addiction every Saturday. Lol. They are pet friendly to well behaved puppos on the patio. Which my Ryder is very appreciative of. 😊 Now having said all this please keep in mind, there are only 2 people working this bakery. When coming to dine with them, please have patience. It will take a minute to get your food. I do promise though it is worth the wait.
Now this is one of my favorite places to eat. I think my wife and I have gone 30 times or more at this point. The food is amazing, and while not cheap, you aren't going to break the bank (unless you decide to take home a bunch of their amazing pastries). I can't stress enough how going there feels like visiting your German family. So while you may wait a while for service depending on how busy they are, every moment will be relaxed and enjoyable.
Great little place if you've never been. It was nice to sit outside for lunch and the pizza was on point. They also have local honey for sale!
Today we had the best apple Strudel made with organic apples from their garden. Utmost delicious! I have not had such a good apple Strudel since I left Germany 15 years ago. Lilly and her husband are hard working people who bake their own German bread. Espresso is excellent like in Italy. High end bakery, very very clean. If you see bakeries on the counter top it is because they came fresh from the oven and have to cool down. Lilly and her husband know absolutely what they do. Bring time, relax. The service is not slow but it takes a little more time to serve fresh prepared food. Thank you to Lilly.
The best breakfast I've ever had! The everything bagel is soooo delicious and the pastries are delicious! pancakes are amazing as well! you have to try it :)
Wow! Why this cafe isn't completely packed every day, I have no idea! It's incredible! Our party of seven ordered the waffles, stuffed french toast, the Rustic breakfast sandwich, two egg sandwiches on bagels, the sausage gravy and biscuits, and the breakfast bowl with sausage, eggs, and grits. We also tried two of the pastries. Every single item was fantastic! All of their bread, bagel, and pastry products are homemade, and they are INCREDIBLE. The service was lovely and their outdoor covered patio was the perfect location to eat on a warm February morning. We will most certainly return when we are in the area again!
Charming and truly a taste of Europe. The owners are sweet and make fantastic dishes. I would highly recommend their pistachio muffins and the sausage gravy with biscuits. Please be patient with them as the restaurant is primarily run by a couple and has the atmosphere of Italy/Greece when we visited. Things move a bit calmer over seas so sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful garden and scenery.
My wife and I love this place!!! The food is excellent, the pastries are top quality European style. The owners are very accommodating and very nice. It has that German bakery ambiance and country cottage type vibe. It has covered outdoor seating as well as air conditioned indoor seating. I highly recommend this place. I look forward to trying their restaurant next door.
I had the authentic spinach pie, When I say delicious, I mean out of this world! My husband had a breakfast sandwich on a very good sized English muffin, I took home one of their fresh baked jumbo bagels fantastic, I was also served potatoes (home fries) What a unique experience the taste was wonderful. Then I was given a sample of cucumber salad, A definately taste treat on my tongue! We will for sure return for more of the delights.
The Ruben is excellent! the beer is a bit pricey, the outdoor seating is nice. Great date night we went to the springs and then sat out on the patio and had really great sandwiches.
Absolute gem of a place. The burger was the best I've ever had! The fries were seasoned. The staff were friendly and helpful. We happened on this place by chance but will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu as well. The desserts looked delicious! You definitely get your money's worth!
Almost quaint, delightful experience. Had a gyro, alongside one direct from Turkey, excellent. Many pastries available also. As I was leaving my server wrapped a sample for me to take with me, a walnut concoction that was crunchy and not overly saturated with sugar as so many American pastries rely upon. The difference is a vastly superior European usage that I have so enjoyed after living abroad for a few years....and missed.
Very cute little local spot with breads, pizzas, and bakery items made in-house and lots of other food and cafe options. Fair prices and delicious food! Pizza and pita for gyro made with homemade dough, highly recommend both! We will be back soon!
Truly the most amazing experience, ever!! Lily - owner, treated us like family - even bringing her son out to meet us. The schnitzel was phenomenal!! The veal - melt in your mouth…. The Dunkel beer in the boot - is a must!!! This is a rare and special gem - EVERYONE needs to enjoy a meal here!! We cannot wait to return!!!
My husband and I both had the large in house made bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. It was filling, delicious and satisfying. Our daughter had a english muffin with butter and jam. We think the english muffin was made in house. She ate the whole thing. Which translates to a very enjoyable meal for her. They squeeze fresh orange juice so I had myself a mimosa and I was so pleased with it, I almost ordered another. The people running the place were welcoming, efficient and made the whole experience lovely. Thank you!!
The stuffed french toast that I had was excellent! They start with bread that's made right there. Turning that into french toast is pretty easy. Then they put sliced fresh strawberries and cream cheese in between. There was a generous amount of strawberry syrup. I didn't need the regular syrup that was served on the side.
Super sweet little spot to eat with an awesome atmosphere and great food. I also love how lowkey it is, trying to find a good spot in this town without annoying vacationers/tourists is hard 🤣
Delicious!! We were in town to go to the Old Sugar Mill for pancakes, but the wait was too long and they recommended Twin Brothers - we’re so glad! Atmosphere was quaint and the bakery items looked phenomenal. We ordered a variety of breakfast items. Everything was so tasty! Super glad we stopped by!
My wife and I come here everytime we come through DeLand. They make an incredible breakfast with great sandwiches in their home made bread. I always get a pastry (I recommend the pecan roll, the Crescent cookies, or the Eclair seen below) and the Chai tea. We'll be back again and again. Oh yeah, and the cucumbers in dill is exactly what my German-American grandmother makes.
I love family-owned restaurants. Love, love, love my food. Small staff, but it’s totally worth the wait!! We shared a pretzel while we waited. Traditional breakfast (eggs, potato, sausage), black coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice; I started eating before the picture, lol. I also had a massive buttery bagel that I couldn’t finished.😋😋😋
This is a gem near Deland! Small space but you feel you are in another part of the world! Home made cooking and amazing atmosphere.
Had a salmon pizza. And I had them double fry our wings. Made them medium. My god. Hands down and im soooo picky about my wings. They are the best wings I have ever had in 38 years of walking this earth. Literally had to buy the hotsauce bc I was dang newr drinking it .. you'll see. Check these folks out. Place is a hidden gem 💎 ✨️
Delicious amazing coffee vanilla caramel latte and blueberry cake! A nice place to charge up prior to kayaking at the springs. I especially liked the Golden lemonade drink with natural protein from “special milk” that added no nutritional value protein. 🤷♀️
I love been here!!! So friendly people! 🩷 The breakfast was on POINT. The services, my goodness i feel so well treated. You guys need to go and visit Deland and have breakfast here definitely.
The food was delicious. Cooked especially for you. Be prepared for a food experience. Don't expect it to be quick, get a starter and enjoy the wait. We had the jumbo shrimp. The beer was ice cold and really nice. Hubby had the prime rib and I had the pork schnitzel. Red cabbage was really good. Highly recommend, will go again.
First time visit. Enjoyed a delicious latte and breakfast of frittatas and breakfast sandwich on fresh baked English muffin. The pastries and cake looked so good. Indoor and outdoor seating. This is a gem in DeLeon Springs area! Will return
Wow! Such a quiet place, the best lunch I’ve had in a while. We ordered the Pretzle bratt, and lemon rice soup. Excellent! The food is filling. The place is small however, they have outside seating. We will have to come for dinner on Friday or Saturday, must call ahead. Service is great there was only two people working the kitchen. A must if you are ever in the area!
We have lived in Eustis over 15 years and this was our first time visiting this restaurant. Wow….what a great hidden gem! There was a wait due to small staff but so worth it! Food was amazing and Ms Lily was super sweet and kind! I ate the traditional breakfast while my husband had the breakfast bowl. Both were excellent. But just know the grits aren’t traditional American style. Their grits are a bit sweeter but we still enjoyed them. We also couldn’t leave without some homemade pastries. They are also amazing! We will be back definitely!
Family restaurant authentic German bakery and food was excellent. The lovely lady owner was amazing. Hard working and excellent chef with tiny kitchen. Love it. outdoor seat , dog friendly
Had the most delicious bean with lamb soup! The hubby ate a cinnamon bun that was still hot and fresh out of the oven. The same went for the loaf of homemade white-bread we brought home. The banana bread is amazing. We love Chef Jimmy’s talented cooking and Lily is so sweet.
My family drives past 3 perfectly decent restaurants to get to Twin Brothers for breakfast. I adore the smoked salmon bagel (lox with horseradish Mayo and capers on a poppyseed bagel). Perfection. My husband prefers the German style Reuben on freshly baked bread. I’ve never had a single poor experience here (although you need to know the German way is to put sugar in the grits). Since everything is from scratch, don’t expect a wait of less than 20 minutes after ordering. It is absolutely worth it. I recommend getting some delicious coffee and one of the many homemade baked goods to share while you’re waiting (the cinnamon rolls and banana bread are off the chain).
This one of the best hidden spots in Deleon. Chef Jimmy is an absolute best chef. Everything on the menu is scrumptious. We get breakfast here, lunch, and order pizza in the afternoons. Incredible. Highly recommend!
We live right up the road from here and spontaneously decided to stop in for an early valentines dinner. Everything was perfect. The owner was wonderful and the service was phenomenal. Very family oriented. Had German beer, shrimp cocktail, strawberry salad, angus fillet, veal and chocolate cake, between me and my boyfriend. We were there 40 min past close, and they insisted we not rush and enjoy every minute. So pleased and cannot wait to visit the bakery that’s right next door!
I got the chicken panini and my husband had the Reuben. Our son got the grilled cheese, cabbage soup and fruit cup. We shared a cream puff and an apple pastry. The service was fairly quick and friendly. It’s a quirky little house with peacocks behind it. My son enjoyed seeing the birds and playing in the open yard outside. The chicken panini wasn’t what I would call a panini. Now don’t get me wrong, it was good, really good actually but not grilled like a panini more like a grilled chicken sandwich. Very generous serving sizes, fresh bread and hearty ingredients. My husband said the Reuben was super fresh and the best one he has had before. Our son loved the cabbage soup and grilled cheese. Both were very large helpings and tasty. The fruit cup was freshly cut strawberries 🍓. Would totally go back! Unique and fun experience. Lots of pioneer woman dishes too! Super cute.
Really great food and very kind people. We will be back for sure. Thank you for the amazing meal!
We always have a great time when we come here. Food is first class, best food in Volusia County hands down. Fresh cooked. Exquisite! You won't find food like this anywhere in Floroda. Family owned and operated. They really take pride in their restaurant and it shows. Thank you for always making us feel special and welcoming. This place is great place to spend family time. Highly reccomended for any occasion.

Back again and the food is delicious and fresh as always! Bagels are huge. Pastries are a must. Delicious food! Fantastic service! Try it all. The cucumber salad was sooo good. Can't wait to come back.

I had their pizza last Sunday. The best pizza I ever had. I met Lilly one of the owners she was a sweetheart. I am definitely going back. I highly recommend it!
Everything was so AMAZING! First time coming here and the owner was very inviting. We had the pizza and a bunch of pastries and already looking forward to having everything again! Thank you!
I had the privilege to taste Twin Brothers menu for the first time and it was everything we hope for and then a lot more. Fresh ingredients, lovely people, we all loved our food. We tried the Egg Benedict, the Rustic and the Stuffed french toast for breakfast. On the side we tried the Cream Croissant, the cinnamon crunch and the pistachio muffins. All super fresh and delicious.

Had a lovely breakfast. Interesting place. Ice cream hut across a courtyard, and a related restaurant nextdoor. Pastries looked amazing although we did not have any.
We have been dining at Karlings for 30 years. Have never been disappointed with the food. In fact it's the finest German food I have ever had. The service has been slow forever, but recently, it has become almost unbearable it's only the food that we continue to dine there.
Food is excellent. Owners are so nice. Love the location and outdoor seating. My only complaint are the prices..... Had a reuben and a can of soda and it was $20.00. too pricey for me.
I called ahead for a loaf of sour dough bread then drove to Bakery for coffees and pastries, bread was not put into oven in a timely manner and we waited an additional 30 minutes for bread. Owner apologized for not telling the baker to put it in the oven earlier. When we arrive home and cut into bread it was not completely baked and was very doughy in the center. I finished baking it at home. Otherwise food is wonderful and always worth the wait. Do not go there if you are in a hurry.
Service is a little slow. Food is mixed. I had the traditional breakfast with potatoes and sausage. The sausage was good, the potatoes were not. Daughter had the waffle. It as ok. The orange juice was really hood. The coffee was not good. I had the caramel latte and it tasted very weak and watery.

Pros: the food is amazing, exactly what you expect. The furnishings are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. The owner is very engaged in her business and visited every table multiple times while remaining pleasant and up beat. The prices were higher but not unreasonable for the fair. Cons: We were specifically offered chicken fingers for our son, which was nice as there are no child options on the menu, but the chicken was still raw in the middle. Our particular server was terrible, our food was on the table before our drink order was taken. It wasn't for a lack of trying, the server just ran off or was never around. She was also chewing gum on the dinner floor. The only other gripe was a lack of German options. I was expecting more than the half dozen specific options.
The onion soup was heavenly! We also enjoyed the cucumber salad. Delicious bread. Nice ambiance. However, because everything is freshly made, prepare for an EXTREMELY leisurely dining experience. While here, we were never once asked if we wanted a drink refill— and our water was never refilled once in the more than two hours we were here. There was one sole woman working the ENTIRE dining room of 15+ tables, and she was clearly stretched to max! Though the menu listed different sides and different salad dressings, as we were ordering, we requested ranch dressing but were told they only had bacon dressing (way too sweet). The sides were whatever they had that night. So, Everyone ended up with red cabbage — again way too sweet. The guys in the kitchen were clearly working hard as they came out multiple times to keep turning the AC lower and lower —until all of us dining were putting on coats and jackets.. it’s currently only 60 out so no clue why the need for AC... anyway we also waited more than 20 minutes for the check as did the couple next to us. The place is nice —but even a moderately busy night seemed too much for them to handle which is a shame really, because if not for the mediocre service, we would have rated this establishment much higher.
The food was excellent but the service was quite slow. There are no refills on coffee. Also it's a basically semi self-serve type place. You place your order at the counter and you go back to the counter to pay your bill. They bring your food to the table but that is about it. There are some wonderful Bakery items that are for sale if you're interested in those and those you can walk in purchase and walk out. I had a frittata that was very good with vegetables in it and some cheese. It was very tasty and nice and hot when it arrived at the table. If you're in a hurry this isn't the place to choose. If you want to sit and talk for long periods of time while waiting for your food it is ideal.
Food is all homemade and wonderful, service is very friendly. For a small local establishment in a no nothing town, the prices are steep, and we were not prepared ($95 for a family of four)! Found it disappointing that a to go cup of tea or coke it's as if you're paying for a whole separate drink.
Cute place, reminding me of Door County, WI or other quaint tourist towns. Service was slow but lady serving front of house was pleasant enough. We moved outside as interior was too warm and crowded, only to be greeted by many pesky flies. Coffee and food were served lukewarm and bland, even bottled hot sauce had little flavor, but the buscuit was fluffy and good. Coffee was $2.95 a cup with 99 cent refills, no tap water. If you want water you have to buy bottled for a few more bucks. Breakfast of Garden Frittata served A'La carte at $11.95, side of fried potatoes, as well as cheese on Frittata were extra $$, biscuits, sausage gravy and coffee was over $32.00. Way too much for what we got. Not a pastry person but they must be good considering how busy they were.
Friendly staff and cute small town European decor... some of the menu items were huge, which explains the pricing... things took a bit coming out, but were being made fresh. The pastries were out on the counter instead of in the case, though, and that seemed to be a cleanliness/freshness concern. They also weren't making waffles as listed on the menu and brought the 2 kids stuffed French toast instead without asking, neither of which really wanted that. I'm not sure we will come back to try other things, but I'll likely have to share with someone to even come close to finishing a Twin Brothers serving, if we do return

We have been to a few different German restaurants and had high hopes for Karlings. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our visit. We were a semi-large group, with 8 people in our party. The food was just okay, the seating area was hot, and the servers barely spoke to us. Taking the menu prices into consideration, we truly expected so much more.
For those of you familiar with the TV show Little House on the Prairie, the male and female running the place very much reminded me of Nels and Harriot Oleson. Because I don't know their names, that is how I will refer to them. We were greated kindly by Nels when we arrived as I grabbed a bottled drink from their cooler. After that, Harriot took over. She was very abrasive, rude and pushy. While standing at the counter with no one behind us, we began looking at the menu( still deciding if we wanted to eat here). Moments later, Harriot very impatiently had us sit at a dirty table with the menu and began setting it up by placing the table setting together when we still hadn't decided to eat there yet. Mind you, this is only at the 3 or 4 minute mark within walking in the door. While doing that, Harriot rudely told me I couldn't bring outside drinks in...(the one I got from their cooler) We ordered The Rustic, which was fantastic. On our way out, I told them the sandwich was great and thanked them. Nels kindly smiled and nodded. The female said "okay". Throughout our interaction with Harriot, Nels looked at us with sad, empathetic and defeated eyes /face each time Harriot spoke to us. The food was great, the experience wasn't. I would not go there again.
The cream puff and coffee were tasty, but it took over 30 minutes for a salad and a Reuben, and then when the salad arrived it was only strawberries. We pointed to the menu description and she said "it used to be like that, we haven't changed the menu though. Everyone else likes it, never had this problem." Will not return.
Pretty cute little spot and friendly staff. The prices seem very high/overpriced. I was told the bill was $11 but then she said she made a mistake and it shot up to $19 for a stuffed croissant and coffee. Croissant was hard as a rock and bland. The coffee took a long time to make and we were charged an extra dollar for whipped cream without even being asked. Idk I love mom and pop small businesses but this place was not my favorite. Giving two stars because maybe their regular food is better. Worth a shot ?
Don’t bother going to this place. They were very eager to take our money then could care less about getting our food out. Waited over an hour to get cold food.. As you can see the butter doesn’t melt and way over priced. And the sausage was drier than beef jerky. Stay away! I only gave one star because a zero wasn’t a choice.
I don't know where all these people were eating but I found the woman there to be extremely obnoxious and overbearing. My friend wanted an English muffin with her food and the woman told her no you take the bread I tell you it'll be good, would not give her the English muffin. I had a bowl which I was eager to have grits I haven't had in a long time, the sausage was cut in little pieces that were hard and dried out and the grits had SUGAR in them and when I went up and told her she said so that's how the chef makes it. I never heard of Southern grits with sugar in them! you have butter, cheese or gravy, NO SUGAR, ruined the entire dish. So for $17 + I had two hard-cooked eggs over sugary grits with hard sausage and muenster cheese that didn't really melt it came all off in one big glob. Never ever in my life did I complain about a dish and not have something offered to me in replacement or to improve it. Never again you can keep it no hospitality and bizarre food.
I called and ordered two pepperoni pizzas for pickup. Got them home and saw that the cheese was not melted and the bottom dough was still raw. I called and they told me to bring them back. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right before I left this review. The owner met me in the parking lot and opened the boxes and put her hands all over the food demanding to show her where it was under cooked. She grabbed the boxes and took them inside without a word and left me standing in the parking lot with no idea what was going to happen. I went and sat in my car to wait. I saw the woman take one of the boxes to the building next door. A few minutes later, she brings ONE of the pizzas to the car, yanks the door open, shoves the pizza in the car and slams the door. No explanation. About another 10 minutes later I see her coming with the other one and I go to get out to meet her but she opens the car door up again, shoves the other pizza in, opens the box and closes it and says "enjoy". And slams the car door again. I left feeling very off put and like I was an inconvenience to them. Get home and realize that they just put the two pizzas back in the oven for a few minutes. The bottom dough was still very raw and floppy and soggy. The cheese was a little bit more melted, but so greasy that it just slid off the raw dough. I didn't want to bring them back again and get made to feel like I was bothering them. $43 dollars down the drain because that mess went in the garbage. Do yourself a favor and go to Mirinos so you get what you pay for and don't get food poisoning.
Had the highest of hopes walking into a German bakery. We picked out so many things. And left most on the plate or sent them back. The lamb and bean soup was the one thing I wanted. It had zero lamb in it and was way too salty to eat. The cream puffs should have been delicious however they were kind of hard without a good flavor. The crescent cookies I also had the highest hopes for and those were hard and crunchy. Didn't eat that either. The grilled cheese was very good but they use a white kind of cheese that could have been a bit more salty. The strudel looked quite scrumptious but the honey added to the top made it way too sweet. The thing that I can rave about are there potatoes. Excellent. The lady at the counter was very nice. The place was very cute. We loved the plates that we were served on. But I would definitely not come back. The soup was sent back but the picture is the rest of the things that we didn't eat.
