The Pantry in West Little Rock offers Czech and German classics. The bar is beautiful as you walk in. On my recent visit, I tried the seared tilapia, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with butter flavor. Additionally, I ordered the arugula pear salad with shrimp, which was equally fantastic. To start, I had their take on pesto dip. Admittedly, I overordered, but it was worth it. This spot looked to be consistently rated as one of Little Rock’s best restaurants. Tomas and his team believe that becoming one of the best was hard work. Staying there is, well, delicious. Love it!
This was such an incredible dinning experience. Our waitress could not have been better in any way. I had Brauts with sour crout with red Cabbage. I asked for an alternative besides potatoes. Our Waitress help me choose my selection. My dinner was so incredibly tasteful you would think the flavors would be bold but they weren’t. Everything incredibly flavorful. I took my time enjoying every bite. My wife I wearner stinsel she said her meal was just as flavorful. I do have one recommendation you have to get the Apple stroodal with ice cream. You will thank me later believe me.
Really enjoyed this place tonight. Our waiter was so great with our 3 year old son, engaged him every time he came by the table. Probably the first time I have experienced someone taking that much time to make a small child feel like a guest and include them in the dining experience. All waitstaff is nice to him whenever we go out but this guy took it to another level. A man that really loves kids. Edited to add this because it was nice and didn’t want to leave it off: they don’t have a kids menu (which is perfectly fine) so our waiter highlighted a few items that are more kid friendly and offered to make any accommodations on those to help. My wife told him he would just eat off her plate (which we normally do) and he didn’t just bring an extra plate for our son but asked the kitchen to put a portion of her meal on a separate plate so our son got his own meal brought to him. That was one of the most thoughtful things I have ever seen at a restaurant. He was also was a great waiter on top of that, attentive, offering quick suggestions and guidance since we told him it was our first time there. Highlighting some notable items on the menu. Really, really great. Food was great. We got the liver paté, house made brats, and fish and frites. All phenomenal, will definitely be coming back to explore more items. Draft menu was concise Czech pilsner, local Amber and IPA, a stout, and a couple others. I appreciated that while not a long list it was diverse. I hate going to place that have 10 beers on draft and 7 are IPAs and no stouts. Plenty of additional options in bottles and cans. Portions were great. Again, our waiter was probably one of the best I have ever had.
We had a great dinner party of 12 at The Pantry. For the amount of people that we had, the service was excellent. Waitress even allowed us to split the check multiple ways. The food and drinks were great as well. The Pantry was very accommodating to our group's size. It was a great experience!
we came in on a saturday night with a large group of 12. shelby was our server & did a fantastic job all night! she kept up with everyone’s drinks, our food came out promptly (& it was delicious!), and when the time came, she split all of our checks up. we live closer to the hillcrest location, but this location accommodated all of us so well. we’ll be back!
Three of us stopped here for a late lunch on our way to NWA from wedding dress shopping in Brinkley! We love the fun and quaint atmosphere, unique wine selections, and homemade yummy food. We enjoyed the Salmon Fall Salad, Salmon Wrap and the soup of the day. Great lil spot, good service. I will definitely be back when in the Little Rock area!
Love this restaurant. The back room looks like a family room of a house with a chandelier hanging. Food was awesome. Lasagna is phenomenal. The breaded Schnitzel Jarger was great. Ricotta appetizer was a perfect appetizer. Service was wonderful. Overall great experience for our first ever dinner in Arkansas!
We had a fantastic time at The Pantry! Carlos was attentive and helpful. The seared salmon is always a hit with us, and I must say, their cheesecake is hands down the best in Little Rock. My teenage son couldn't get enough of the pork shoulder—he cleaned his plate! Plus, I really appreciate that they have a happy hour with small bites. It makes for a nice way to relax and try out a few dishes. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we can't wait to go back!
Another amazing place! We tried the truffle oil deviled eggs and the only issue i had with those, was there was only 4! Really darn good! My boss had a burger which he said was extremely good and i had a pear salad. The salad had a really nice mix of stuff including capers which gave it a really nice flavor. The service was very good and friendly. The decor was pretty nice as well. Overall this place definitely has an accurate rating! Thanks for the food and service!
Thank you for a great meal!! The Panty is a very modern themed restaurant. The decor is fresh and inviting. Alex was amazing! Her food suggestions were on point! Had the cheesecake for dessert.. I loved it. A bit too sweet for my husband though. The crust is thick and buttery… it’s yummy 😋. Next up is the bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese.. must get the goat cheese! It was so good. It’s baked to perfection. The main courses were good. I felt like the salmon wrap needed something 🤔.. but it was tasty nonetheless. The sauerkraut panini was good. My husband enjoyed it (Alex recommended 😁). Thank you to The Panty for a wonderful lunchtime experience.
Little Rock is fortunate to have a Czech restaurant (not a usual food niche in US cities where there's not a sizable Czech population), and an outstanding one, at that. Its Czech-Bohemian offerings, including Wiener schnitzel and Jäger schnitzel, bratwurst, and roast pork are consistently great, as are the accompanying dishes of sauerkraut, red cabbage, and dumplings (knedlíky). The daily rustic bowl is also always delicious. There's a good selection of draft beers including Pilsner Urquell, a natural fit for Czech-Bohemian dishes. The dessert menu is wonderful: the apple strudel is first-rate. Of the appetizers, the truffled deviled eggs stand out, as does the charcuterie board. We went to Pantry last evening because it was offering last night and tonight plates of half a roast duck with sauerkraut, red cabbage, and sliced dumplings, a traditional Czech-Bohemian meal for Christmas and the weeks after Christmas. This was scrumptious — a photo is below. All this, and good wait staff and a welcoming atmosphere.... I highly recommend Pantry and its other outlet in the Hillcrest neighborhood, Pantry Crest, about which I've written a separate review.
The food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. The location is not much to look at and the service was okay but unremarkable. Nice variety on the menu
Food was hot. Similar to what we had when we lived in Germany. The sauce for the Jager schnitzel was not "fresh". Tasted more like a canned gravy. They need to work on it. Selection of drinks was nice although, again, we expected more German wines in the selection so they need to work on this too. Spätzle was way over cooked and drenched in gravy. Don't think we will be back. Not the experience we expected and the flavor wasn't there.
I had the goulash. It was very meaty in a tomato sauce base. The menu calls it a "hearty beef stew" and I thought that would include vegetables. I've not had goulash before so maybe that was my mistake. It was kind of mono-flavor to me, but it was hearty and filling. My wife had a chicken panini. She felt it was kind of bland. She did appreciate that it had olives on it. Overall, an ok experience but I doubt we would return.
This place had been hyped up by so many people. My husband and I decided to go here for lunch. We both got their schnitzel, mine was covered in mushroom sauce. It was mediocre at best. It didn’t have a lot of flavor. Potatoes were bland, some salt fixed them though. We didn’t even mind the service being slow but food was not as amazing as I expected. Maybe there’s other stuff on their menu that’s great but the schnitzels are not worth it at all. Update: I’ve tried the chicken pesto flatbread and goulash since the first time we went there. Those items were significantly better than the schnitzels. Flatbreads come with a fresh salad in the middle and goulash had egg dumplings pasta underneath it. Both items are highly recommended!
The Pantry got that classic, comfort-food vibe that hits when you’re just trying to slow life down for a minute. The food was solid warm, flavorful, and exactly what you expect from a hometown-style spot. Service was cool but could’ve been a little more attentive, especially during rush hours. The atmosphere carried the whole experience though calm, cozy, and peaceful enough for real conversation. Overall, it’s a good stop if you want simple, steady, no-stress comfort food.
