Put this restaurant on your must goto list asap! The food, service, and drinks are top notch! Be warned of a loud atmosphere, loud talkers lol. Pear-tini delicious, Frozen Blackberry Moonshine Amazing!
I love this place. Especially their pear martini, crispy brussels sprouts, and lamb shank. I get those pretty much on repeat and they are all consistently good. Servers are friendly and the ambiance is great, both indoor and outside. Martini Mondays and Whisky Wednesdays are pretty sweet too 😉🍸🥃
My husband and I went on a Friday night at 6:30pm which was a peak time with no reservation. The outside seating was booked out for the night. There was plenty of availability inside to sit. The experience was great even with it being busy. Our server was nice, she did miss the fact we asked for the truffle man c cheese as well however it is a little loud in the restaurant and she just didn’t hear us ask. She was very apologetic and still a fabulous server. They sadly had already ran out of the loaded bread and butter for the day so if that is something you’re after, plan to go to an earlier seating. The hush puppies were delicious and the cinnamon butter was a good compliment if you like sweet, I preferred them without the butter. Butter was on the side so you could choose your preference. Both the bourbon chicken and the pork chop were DELICIOUS! I definitely would love to go back and try more food.
Our server Tyler was excellent!! The food was amazing!! Mac and cheese and the hush puppies for appetizers were both delicious! I highly recommend the Ultimate Grilled Cheese paired with the Smoked Tomato Soup! The creamy grits that came with The Blackened King Salmon were perfect! Deserts were also great and don’t get me started on the how good the Bourbon Slush drink was!!! I wish I could up this review to six stars across the board!!
Bourbon Chicken & Southern Fried Catfish were excellent. Great atmosphere with great service. Special shout out to the hushpuppies. Suggestion: Toast should be on the top of the Cast Iron Mexican White Prawns to hold that crispiness. We will be back!
Overall a great experience both times I've been in. A little bit loud inside during peak, so don't go hoping to have a conversation. The food is quite good and matched the prices, but I'd say there could be just some slight tweaking to the plates and they'd jump into a totally new level. Drinks are on point. Good pours, great mixes. They don't take reservations as of writing this, but we haven't had to wait for a table just yet.

Really good, well executed, comfort food. Quick, friendly service. Nicely made cocktails, and the best patty melt I’ve ever had! You can tell they use quality ingredients, at a price that isn’t outrageous like most restaurants these days. Definitely going back!
The host was really sweet she’s helped us twice in the past. Joseph helped us as our server and was great! I accidentally ordered the wrong thing during the hustle and bustle of downtown but they corrected it so fast and was just super great with service. We had the braised short rib and the chicken sando, fondue and two cocktails. All in all, great spot with great service. Would recommend supporting their biz!
Absolutely amazing experience! Cannot say enough about the service, food and atmosphere. Great variety of cocktails, takes awhile to decide what to get because there are so many delicious options. We tried the porkchop and the Cajun chicken pasta. We had the hushpuppies as an appetizer. Completely addicting! I had the prickly pear margarita and my husband had the whiskey sour. We can't wait to go back!
The food was awesome! They have loaded array of bourbons to choose from. Decent prices to make a good selection. The bartender was wonderful. No wait on table during happy hours, which was a surprise. It was at the tail end, but great service. I would recommend trying the pear quesadilla. It was a hard pick but great flavor.
We recently had our first visit and were very impressed. We ate outside and ordered the Monday special, which is the Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich for $10. This was worth every penny and then some. We are looking forward to our next visit, which will be very soon.

Come to try this place. Foods are good, offered different types of meat and seafood. I tried the beef short rib that it's a bit salty for me, but my kids like it. They also offer kid's dishes. The environment is a bit noisy, hard to hear my friend's talk.
So excited to try this place. We came here when it was Clucked and then Fat chance and unfortunately, neither one of those places stuck so we're hopeful for this place. They have a very good assortment of food menu items. Our server was nice and helpful but not very talkative. We didn't mind because he was efficient so it was fine. I tried the prickly pear, margarita, and we had the Cobb salad the shrimp salad, the green chili burger and the BLT. All were tasty but each had their own little issues with, and I'm just gonna attribute that to it being still a relatively new place. The margarita was really good no issues. The Cobb salad was really good. I don't have any issues with it, both salads were pretty good Actually. The Sedona sandwich was good Except the chicken was suuuuper dry. The chicken seemed to be cut into two pieces so there were times you'd get a bite with no chicken because the piece slipped from the sandwich. The BLT was the main one that was a problem. The lettuce was wilted, the tomato had the core in the one slice they gave which really sucked. The bacon wasn't strips of bacon, it was bacon pieces. It made it difficult to eat. Each bite, the bacon would fall out and had to be scooped back into the sandwich. It was actually really disappointing. The bacon is the claim fame for a BLT and it should be the best part. Unfortunately it was the worst part. The fries were ok, they were shoestring fries and overly salted. We also got a lot of small pieces of fries that were overcooked. The inside of the piece is really nice and looks like a cool place to hang out. The outdoor patio is also top notch when the weather is nice.
I recently visited this new American restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised! The onion soup was absolutely exceptional—rich, flavorful, and definitely a standout. The sandwich was also quite good, and I was happy to see they offer a gluten-free option, which is always a plus. The cocktail bar is impressive, with a wide selection of whiskeys to choose from, making it a great spot for drinks. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. I'm excited to see how this place grows!
This is our first time to this restaurant. I went with the Nashville chicken sandwich and a side salad. I like the fact that it was breaded chicken and not grilled for this particular order. The heat was average for a Nashville, hot chicken and the flavor was more in the buffalo sauce as an appetizer we ordered the hush puppies. The only downside was when I got the bill. It was $69 and they charged me for $85. When I questioned it, they added somebody else’s wine to my order even after they brought me the ticket I found this to be a little disturbing and unorthodox. They were nice and fixed the mistake but I kind of felt like it was a mistake that shouldn’t have happened and had I just signed and gave a tip. I would’ve never caught it until later.
We went out for a date night to get the Prime Rib special and my husband said it was in the top 5 best tasting he’s ever had. My BLT was okay, but $20 for my plate versus $38 for his prime rib it seemed a little over priced. For $16 I was really hoping the roasted brussel sprouts would meet my expectations but sadly they were bland. They were coated in bacon grease and dry Parmesan but needed more flavor, like a balsamic glaze similar to other restaurants in the area serve. I ended up taking them home and air fried them and added the glaze which fixed them. The restaurant itself was busy and had a 45 minute wait but we got lucky and got seated at the bar within 10 minutes. Their staff was very friendly and kept things moving so our service was excellent. However because we sat in front of the bar we could watch the bartender and they appeared new. My husband was a former bartender for years and noticed him under pouring counts for cocktails. While they tasted great the price charged for under poured beverages is not fair to the customers. All in all it was a good date night. I would not recommend for a larger crowd (party of 6+) as the space is smaller and fairly loud.

Easily could have been 3 stars but rounded up for dessert and staff. Had a local beer. Very limited beer selection and they stopped the rotating beer unfortunately. I know it's a cocktail place, but didn't want one for lunch. Could improve the beer. For the app, has the loaded bread. Bread was good itseef but the loaded version a bit bitter. Still liked the bread itself Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was just OK and slightly disappointing. The hot sauce was closer to a seemingly equivalent to Franks and could use a lot more heat for a "hot". Maybe I got the not version, but I don't think so since there was a bit of sauce. I've had Nashville versions and this wasn't it. The fries were also just OK and tasty but a bit soggy and maybe only single fried. Not very many fries either and finished them ahead of the sandwich. On the positive side, the chicken was tender. Dessert was the highlight of the meal and had the pear tart. That was the only item worth a repeat and would come back just for that. Service was better than average but noticed they seated us before the people in front of us but since there were only two groups I didn't make an issue of it. Atmosphere was OK. Could benefit from some better layered lighting on their artwork and throughout. Price was higher than expected for the quality. They did try to make the food to justify the price but didn't fully hit the mark. It was close though and a few tweaks could justify the price for a $21 chicken sandwich and fries. In the end, decent, but not really a regular return like places such as Posada, Range Life, or others. I'll return for dinner and see how things are. Kudus to them for the attempt and making Livermore worthy of their attention.
It gives me no please to offer this review. We were disappointed with our experience at The Bourbon Pear. We ordered the New York French dip and chicken sandwich with Brie The New York French Dip was essentially just a steak sandwich with a side of dip. Unfortunately the steak itself was an absolute salt bomb and came out welldone - like smoked!! It overwhelmed the dish and made it even more difficult to eat. The chicken sandwich was also dry, which was surprising because there was both brie and a pear slice as toppings. The kitchen service was slow, especially considering how little people were in the restaurant and how straightforward these dishes should be. I’d strongly suggest the chef reconsider his/her liberally seasoning and unattended cooking. Both dishes missed basic preparation standards. There’s potential here, but the food quality and consistency need attention. On a positive note, my lovely wife really liked the Pear-tini
Tried this place for the first time. VERY noisy... could barely hear my conversation with my wife. Food was good . I will say the French onion soup was one of the best I've ever tasted! Salmon was ok.... My wife had a steak Salad and wasn't impressed, the meat was tough and semi flavorful. I did like the Salmon and it was a 6 out of 10. A little over cooked.
It feels like a very average downtown spot - not terrible, but nothing that really stands out either. The space is pretty tight, the design is forgettable, and the overall vibe doesn’t leave much of an impression. Sitting near the entrance was especially uncomfortable since it was drafty and chilly, which isn’t ideal on a Friday night. Loved the giant pictures on the walls though. The pricing is on the higher side for what’s being offered. Snacks felt overpriced, and drinks being close to $20 set expectations that just weren’t met. Food-wise, the loaded bread was left behind on the table and didn’t get much attention, and the hush puppies came out a bit dry. Service was all over the place throughout the night - sometimes attentive, other times disorganized which made the experience feel inconsistent. Overall, it’s an okay option if you’re already in downtown Livermore, but the value and experience don’t really match the prices.
The food was very good. But the place is packed the table are very close to each other and it was impossible to hear the other side of the table. It was so loud it ruined our date and we both ended with a headache. Waitress was basically absent we had to flag her for water refills and the check. She brought us only one box for our left overs instead of the two we asked her. While trying to get another the second one the bus persons try multiple times to take my plate away. Eventually one of them did bring us a box and then I couldn't find our waitress to pay the check. She brought us the wrong one... Then I went to the receptionist to try get the right one. Eventually did. Then had to ask again to try to pay which we were told "It will be a few minutes....' eventually someone that looked like the manager asked me how things were (by that time my wife escaped outside to avoid the noise) and she took me to the back in order to pay. IF (big if) we come back (the food was really good) we will stay outside.
I had a good experience here, but I was very disappointed in the dish that I got. I got the crispy fried chicken sandwich and it was not crispy. The fries were cold and barbecue sauce was completely overpowering. It was not a marriage of flavors. It was a barbecue sauce chicken sandwich that was not crispy. The potato skins were very good. I also had a Wednesday night special bourbon drink, a whiskey sour, and it was absolutely perfect. Two of my dinner mates got the burger and said it was delicious. I guess I chose poorly.

Atmosphere was very nice. All employees were super friendly and seating was very good at the bar. But wasn't very happy with some of the food that we ordered, especially for the price we paid. Ordered the shrimp & grits and the grits were very less quantity the sauce was very soupy like and the shrimp was a little under cooked. Would not order that again
