Delicious! Does get crowded around noon time, but that's to be expected from a cute little place offering yummy food. You order from the counter, are given a number, find your own seating then someone stops by with your food or drinks. Picture: Mochi pancakes with blueberries and cranberries with cupaccino
If you're looking for a quick and casual spot for breakfast, lunch, or just coffee and a baked treat, The Press is hard to beat. Place your order at the counter, take your number to a table of your choice, and one of their excellent staff will bring your order out to you when ready. Everything on the menu is delicious, well prepared, and carefully plated with a bit of flair. Nice range of choices on the menu, GF options, great coffee, lively cafe/patio atmosphere. The Press ticks all the boxes and delivers a surprisingly elevated offering for such an easy going place. Locations in Pleasanton and Livermore.
This place is the best!!! Delicious food, great vibes and super friendly staff; what’s not to like? I had been going to the Pleasanton location for years but this one definitely is my favorite of the two. One cool thing is that this location is open Sunday while the Pleasanton location is not I personally love getting the bacon dill pickle panini with the side tomato soup. The chocolate peanut butter chia seed pudding is also great for when you want something sweet. Their coffees and other drinks are excellent. Today I had the mint iced matcha latte and it was exquisite! Highly, highly recommend! The best brunch spot in Livermore
Been going to the Pleasanton location but like this location even more. Loved the atmosphere at this place, and the food even more! Their pressed panini all have flavorful combinations of ingredients and sauces, and the baked goods are packed with unique flavors that one cannot find elsewhere!
The Press is one of, if not my favorite, spot in town for breakfast. The menu is full of healthy and gluten free items, and it all tastes amazing! They have a seasonal menu, so be sure to check that when you visit. You also can't go wrong with their Cheesey Grits or their Elvis Oatmeal or their English Egg Muffin. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. It's all great and very reasonably priced.
The Press in Livermore is a bustling brunch spot that hits the sweet spot between quality food, good vibes, and efficient service. Despite the long line at the entrance, the staff kept things moving quickly and we were inside and placing our order faster than expected. The ordering system is mostly self-service, guests order at the counter and grab a number which adds to the efficiency and lets you find your preferred seat right away. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are bright, airy, and inviting. The interior has a modern, clean look with a relaxed café vibe, while the outdoor area is great for soaking in the Livermore sunshine. The food was fresh and flavorful. The biscuit sandwich with egg and sausage was hearty and satisfying, and the Warm Honey Milk Toast was a standout with sweet berries, floral accents, and a perfect scoop of cream. Pairing it with a latte rounded off a fantastic morning meal. The menu offers a nice variety from savory to sweet, with seasonal specials and thoughtful options for different tastes. Service was smooth, and the staff stayed upbeat and attentive, even with a packed house. The pastry display was also tempting, and the Coffee Nutella Bread Pudding is now on my list for next time. Overall, The Press is a must-visit if you’re in downtown Livermore looking for a vibrant brunch experience with great coffee and food that delivers. Get there early it’s popular for a reason!
It was an absolutely amazing cafe. The owner, Rebekah, was so friendly and attentive. The staff are all very friendly and services are good.Foods are very presentable , delicious, and healthy. Drinks - lavender Lemonade very refreshing. The portobello quiche - superb. They only make 8 pieces per day, should you need more, please contact them ahead. Forgot all the names on our food order, so pictures are for your reference. Yes, there's outdoor seating.
So fresh and delicious. Homemade tortillas, bread sausage everything was great. Wish there were more places to est like this everywhere. Prices were wonderful and not over priced at all
Had a fresh brunch at this beautiful and small location in Livermore downtown. The food was yum, fresh and absolutely great for the weather. I am definitely going back.
A Beautiful little restaurant! They have the best avocado toast! The only problem I have with it is that it is a little bit noisy. There are two of these not far from each other, so if you order online make sure not to go to the wrong one!
Absolutely love the place . Our favorite place to have brunch and a coffee . Definitely love the ambiance and service . This place is small but atmosphere makes you feel like you’re having brunch onYour vacation at least that what i feel. My Saturday ritual pretty much most of the weeks i go here .
Super unique lovely menu, really great food, service, and interior. Their seasonal specials were the absolute best too. Perfect stop, especially if you’re passing through on the way to the I-5!
Being a big eater I was skeptical of a coffee shop type place to eat. My wife being the coffee drinker and healthier insisted I try it out. To be honest, I was surprised at the quality of food, the price, and the portion. Everything checked all my boxes and we both left full and happy :). I had the turkey and cheese sandwich with tomato soup and my wife had the avocado and egg toast. We also got a banana pecan bread pudding. Also, delicious. I highly recommend this place and we will be back. :)
This place truly deserves the stars and would highly recommend to all, who are in the area. Starting from great, caring service, location and most importantly - food quality. Make sure you get in here first thing in the morning before opening, otherwise the line is way out throughout the lunch time. Coffee served is dark roast, so a bit bitter and that was an only con in the whole experience, however free refills that you’ve got to get yourself and served to-go cup before we left pleasantly surprised. Food wise you’ve got to try to believe! Ordered two sandwiches with ham & pineapple and pear & turkey, coconut chia pudding and some baked deliciousness to top it all off. Well, bakery had to go home cause we could not stop eating the proteins. And yes, please try the tomato soup! It’s a must on the chill, Sunday morning. Inside seating has some space, however outside is more fun and pleasant. Service wise - you are very carried for impression. I really did enjoyed our time and will definitely be back for more pleasant experience of healthy, nutritious meals.
Update 02/03/2023 It was a sandwich kind of the day for me so of course I ordered The Turkey Avocado with a side of Butternut Squash Soup from The Press. The sandwich was on a fresh Ciabatta bread with lots of turkey, avocado and of course provolone with a pesto aioli. It was delicious. I enjoyed the Butternut squash soup but was a bit on the sweet side for me but still delicious. I like this place and certainly will eat here again. See pics Absolutely one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Tried this place which is around the corner from my office for the first time. I ordered the Turkey and Cranberry. The sandwich was two layers and came with a fresh and beautiful salad. Tasted wonderful and it was a good value for the buck. Will certainly go back.
My wife and I stopped by here to share a sandwich after seeing a movie near by. We had the Turkey Pesto Panini. It was excellent! People there are super friendly and hard working. Staff stayed on top of keeping things nice and clean. Atmosphere was very pleasant. The place was mostly full, but we were able to order, sit, and eat rather quickly. The owner ( we are assuming ) stopped by our table to ask how everything was tasting, and then offered us a couple free drinks she was taking photos of for what we are thinking is for up coming menu items. Both lemonades, one strawberry and pineapple. The pineapple was my favorite of the two. Look forward to dinning there again soon. Do yourself a favor and check The Press out!
Been to the one in Pleasanton and this one is about the same. Food is always fresh we had the breakfast tacos, grits, chia with fruit and the biscuit and gravy with chorizo. Everything was perfect. Will definitely be back.
First time, found via google. Line was out the door, but service was quick & still friendly. We dined in. Atmosphere is cute & warm thankfully too cause it was raining & cold out. Inside seating is a bit limited, not a bad thing though I just tend to forget that café's are smaller than restaurants. There's a self serve water pitcher. Didn't wait long for food to be served. All of it was delicious.
Incredible! Always good and consistent. The Elvis Oatmeal is delicious and addictive. Sit outside, if you can, on First Street and take in the laid back atmosphere of Livermore. From the coffee to the food, this cafe never disappoints.
This cafe has amazing collection of panini and sandwiches. And serves great coffee. It’s a local gem. The cafe got great ambience. It’s not very big but it has ample seating outside.
The Press is the spot. There are no if’s and’s or buts. When you come to first street for lunch all the other restaurants are empty except for this one. That’s due to the fact that the food and beverages are outstanding and the staff is so friendly and outgoing. The restaurant is like a coffee shop gone artisan sandwiches and salads. Everything is fresh and in season.
Only my second time going here because the place is usually packed (and it was today but I took a chance). The food is always phenomenal and the staff are extremely considerate and nice. I was sitting outside because it was packed but once a table was free, one of the wait staff told me she’d save the table for me so I can get out of the heat. Also, their service is fast. My only complaint is that it’s a very small premise so it’s crammed pretty tight and it gets super noisy with everyone talking, so just bring headphones and you’ll be good :)

We love having breakfast here. There are plenty of healthy options and the scones are absolutely amazing. The staff are some of the nicest people in all of downtown, always friendly and welcoming. It is a very family friendly place with great coffee options. The Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty, but otherwise everything is excellent. Highly recommend for a relaxed breakfast or weekend brunch.

I think this is a great place to eat breakfast or lunch. There is a whole selection of sandwiches. I liked how the bread was toasted and crispy. The service was like normal, probably because you need to order first, then sit down. The atmosphere was really chill and cozy, perfect for studying at. Overall, I would totally recommend this place.
A pretty standard example of high-end, healthy brunch fare. That is to say, it was really good food, but really not at all distinctive. Kind of an insipid suburban location, but they definitely found their clientele.
The strawberry almond bostock was delicious and mocha latte was good. There’s no smile from the Barista but the servers were all attentive. There was a woman who greeted and asked customers how was their meals/drink but I was never asked and I even smiled to her. She completely looked away when I smiled not once but twice. She acts like she’s either the Manager or owner. Not very welcoming at all. I will never be back nor recommend this place. There’s plenty of cafes and breakfast places to go in Livermore

The food was solid—I'd give it 4 out of 5. However, the service needs improvement. While a long line of customers was waiting, some staff were busy chatting about what they wanted to eat on their break instead of helping guests. Rather than socializing, they could have opened another register to speed things up. They only seemed attentive when the tip screen appeared. One staff member was wearing an extremely low-cut shirt, which felt inappropriate for a café setting—maybe wearing an apron could help with professionalism. On a positive note, the server who brought out the food was friendly and professional.
