During my trip to Lodi, this place was recommended to us for lunch. We had a great time because they offer various lunch options ranging from €12 to €14, all-inclusive (water, soft drinks, and coffee). I tried the pizza option; it was truly fantastic—thin, just the way I like it, perfectly cooked, and huge.

A very fun evening thanks to the guy who served us. We had four pizzas, one of which was gluten-free. All four were very good, especially mine, which was gluten-free, as it's usually hard to find decent ones.

We arrived 10 minutes before opening and they seated us right away and put on pasta for our hungry son. They were extremely helpful and kind (the waitress was amazing! Very friendly!) The pasta was delicious, as was the pizza, thin and crispy, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Highly recommended!

We came across Calicantus by accident, having spent four hours wandering around Lodi, arriving about 30 minutes before closing after lunch. This was no problem for the owners and though we were the only couple in the place, another couple and then a single person came to eat not long after we'd been seated. We ordered margherita and fungi pizze which we saw being baked - the best pizza we've had for a long time with just the right crispiness to the crust and a great balance of tomato, cheese and mushroom. They were huge and therefore great value for money. The restaurant itself is a short way from the medieval centre with modern decor, The staff were really pleasant but it's hard to comment on 'atmosphere' because I don't like noisy restaurants but we were made to feel really welcome. We didn't get to see all of Lodi so we'll be returning and we'll go back to Calicantus, too
