Exquisite food! A very quint little restaurant with a calm vibe. The service was good, and usually great, just this time we had to wait a while on drink orders. However it did not affect us enjoying our afternoon or the food. A great place for many occasions. Highly recommended

Camilla was fantastic! So friendly and attentive. Everything was 100% authentic Italian — you could really taste the quality. The fish was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly, highly recommended!

The menu truly celebrates seafood at its best. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh, from the delicate starters to the beautifully prepared mains. Very great atmosphere, gives you a nostalgic marina vibe. The seafood is very fresh, best grilled squid I have had in awhile and cuttlefish risotto was delicious as well! Walked in and got a table for three for and hour and half, very nice considering how busy it got later. Will come back!

I have never had such good fish outside of Italy. True Italian recipes with high quality ingredients. Definitely a place where to keep going back.

An exceptional dining experience and without doubt one of the best Mediterranean fish restaurants I have ever visited. The quality of the seafood is outstanding—fresh fish flown in directly from Italy and Spain, which truly makes a remarkable difference. The flavours, presentation, and authenticity are simply superb. A special mention to Mike, the manager, whose warm, attentive, and professional service made the evening even more memorable. We felt genuinely welcomed and well cared for throughout our visit. We absolutely loved it and will most certainly be returning.

Food is fresh and tasty, very heavy olive oil but good quality. Intimate ambience, questionable pop music choice in the background but didn’t impact the meal.

Food was fantastic all around. Pricing is high but the pasta dishes really did deliver. Unfortunately service was not at the same level. At this price point they should not be forgetting drink orders and be more attentive. No reservations needed if you are willing to sit outside.

Santo Mare offers simple and authentic Italian cuisine, highlighting incredible produce in every dish. The mint linguine was excellent, and the red prawn tartare was impressively fresh. However, the tuna carpaccio and the octopus were both unnecessary. The octopus was steamed instead of grilled and cut in a way that made it taste like rubber, unlike a whole tentacle that's grilled, which allows you to enjoy the crispiness on the outside and the soft texture inside. To their defense, they did say that next time they’ll be able to accommodate a grilled octopus the way we like it. The clam spaghetti was good, but the standout dish was the Gnocchi with red shrimp, which was absolutely perfection. For dessert, the pistachio ice cream and tiramisu were phenomenal—perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and not overpowering. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the wine selection is extensive. Santo Mare is definitely worth a visit!

Delicious Italian seafood restaurant with classy atmosphere and decor. Cocktails were a bit watered down though but other than that it was great. The bread with basil in olive oil was fantastic. We got a few appetizers to start: sea bass carpaccio, king prawn tartar, sea bass balls (fantastic) and the octopus. The prawn tartar and sea bass balls were prob of favourite. We got the lobster tagliatelle as a main to share and it was fantastic! Made the night!

Food was tasting good. But... Both of us suffer funny guts for 2-3 days and a very uncomfortable acidity. We ask for a owned red snapper with potatoes and they send out a guazzetto redsnapper with some fries . Starters were good. Service was good but definitely too much talking in the end. Is nice to have friendly personnel but not someone joining the meal, like . I won't recommend.

So surprised that this restaurant is rated highly, I found it to be astonishingly average with eye-watering prices. Started positively with the bread and starters, which were incredibly expensive but fine. We were asked how we'd like the fish cooked and chose grilled. The fish came overcooked and the skin was removed before it was served to us, so it tasted like it may as well have been steamed. The side dish of potatoes came to the table cold, not even luke warm. We also ordered the gnocchi which was equally as dull. No one asked us how the food was, otherwise we would have said. For the price (nearly £400) we could have flown to Italy and had a delicious meal, I wish we'd done that instead!

I recently dined at Santo Mare in London, and my experience was disappointing, to say the least. While the starters were acceptable and offered a decent beginning to the meal, the main course was an utter letdown. We ordered the seafood risotto, which we had to send back initially because it was bland and lacked flavor. When it returned, there was no noticeable improvement. The dish remained tasteless and almost inedible. Given the restaurant's reputation and the prices they charge, this was wholly unacceptable. Overall, the lack of quality in the main course overshadowed any positives from the starters. I expected much more from Santo Mare and was thoroughly disappointed.

Incredible food… but unfortunately prices have increased recently and not really justified… 15% service charge, £40 pasta…. We are neighbours and loved coming here but we will find it hard to justify coming back.

We recently dined here and was extremely disappointed. The food quality was not what we expected for the price – it was underwhelming and felt overpriced. To make matters worse, they charged me the service fee twice without any explanation. Definitely not worth the money, and we won’t be coming back.

Visited for the first time. Very busy restaurant w upbeat music. The menu is appetizing. Quality of seafood is impressive. Service is pleasant. The tiramisu coffee is light in cream, not too sweet and particularly nice. But if you are a wine connoisseur, you wouldn’t want to be there. It charges £40 minimum corkage. And the most ridiculous thing that I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant, it charges 10% of the retail value of the wine you bring. This is crazy. The restaurant is not providing any extra service for a £1000 bottle vs a £20 bottle. I have never encountered a restaurant that charges wine corkage based on retail value the world over Such greediness. I’m going back despite the food

My friend and I both got food poisoning after ordering the seafood platter, langoustine carpaccio, sea bass tartare and lobster pasta. Restaurant refused to accept there was an issue. I find it very disappointing that a restaurant charging these prices would dismiss my concerns in these circumstances, particularly where their practices seriously affect customer health - in my case for three days. Diners beware.

What a wonderful waste of money! Pasta wasn't cooked, lobster was over cooked, the rest was just bland. Oysters were the best thing (something at least...) 280£ for a stomachache. service was awful and the service change is 15% (!). We came because of all the good reviews but I don't understand how you can rate this place more than 1. Avoid.

Do not trust the reviews! Super overpriced for what you actually get. The food was nowhere near worth the money they’re charging — small portions and very average quality. You expect something special at these prices, but it just felt disappointing overall. Wouldn’t recommend.
