The food and the customer service is the best in town. I’d highly recommend going in for the pasta.
We kept walking past Take Italy and saying we should eat there. Tonight we finally did! We had pizzas (and had plenty enough to bring home for lunch then next day). They were really nice!l, very fresh and tasty. Accomodating for a GF dietary requirement too.
Three of us enjoyed a wonderful meal here, last night. The quality is exceptional. I only have photos of the Calzone, my husband enjoyed and the Cannolo Siciliana with pistachios I chose for dessert. All our meals were delicious! The staff are welcoming and professional; excellent at making suggestions if needed and very attentive. We will definitely be recommending this place and visiting again. Thank you.
Had a take away from this restaurant and I was not disappointed!! The pizza I ordered tasted so fresh and delicious, the crust wasn’t too thick and had a perfect ratio from the toppings to the base, will have another for sure!!
Top notch tomato pasta sauce! With homemade pasta. Ordered 3 dishes and they were all spectacular! We even got more spaghetti to finish up the sauce! Mamamiaaa! 😊

Fantastic and authentic piece of Italy right here in Grantham. Coffee packs a punch! Had a meatball sandwich - freshly baked bread and really tasty meatballs. Friendly service, definitely will return!
I visited Grantham for a weekend and was recommended this place by a local. I liked it so much on the first night I went back the next evening to try something else on the menu. Everything about it was truly excellent. The food was delicious, the family who run it very warm, friendly and helpful, reasonably priced and the atmosphere warm and Italian. Only wish I lived locally so I could come more often.
Take Italy Bistrot is a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Italian food. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I tried the Margherita and Afumicata pizzas—both were outstanding. The Margherita had a perfect crust, fresh mozzarella, and rich tomato sauce, while the Afumicata’s smoky, savoury flavours really stood out. Service was prompt and genuinely attentive, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and take real pride in what they do. I left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended—five stars without hesitation!
First of all huge congratulations to the family for creating such an welcoming and pleasant environment! Italians are truly amazing at making you feel "at home". We came to the area for the night, so we are not local, and from all the places- we decided to dine here - best decision ever. We had pizzas( buffalina and afumicatta), great ingredients in every bite, tasteful and unique. For dessert we both had pistachio tiramisu -better that we ever had before in any other places. Would highly recommend this place to anyone for the food and for the great people that run this business! Thank you for making our visit feel so welcome! Will definitely visit again! Ps: The pecorino wine will make a great choice!

First visit, lovely welcome. Evening session. Tagliatelle Bolognese and Aubergine risotto as main meal were gorgeous with a lovely apricot tart for dessert, washed down with a lovely bottle of Shiraz. Kitchen closes at 9pm.There needs to be some soothing music not a silent TV repeatedly showing the same thing. Next visit will be for lunch to try out some pastries. A tasty addition to Grantham.
Popped in here with my husband and daughter while shopping, the food and drink was delicious. We had to cappuccinos, a caramel milkshake and treats, see pictures. The owner came to tell us that his wife had made the pistachio tart that morning, it was still warm ☺️ I'll definitely be back. Such a lovely warm family atmosphere and authentic Italian food and drink.

Came in with my family as we were in the area looking for something new. I am astonished by the amazing and welcoming service this family provides. The delicious and authentic food and desserts. The atmosphere is like being in Italy. Would 100% recommend for those in the area!
We fell upon Grantham after a train disruption, Take Italy Bistrot was very accommodating. The food and wine and service was all excellent and the owners son even gave us a lift back to our hotel. What a lovely family and lovely restaurant thankyou 😊
Hidden Gem for everyone that appreciates proper Italian cuisine! Proper carbonara with egg and pecorino 🙌🏼 what a rare find! Produce like cured meats from Italy and the wine directly from the family winery. Highly recommended!
My partner and I visited here twice, both times felt like we had found a hidden gem. The food tasted authentically Italian, with special highlights being the tris bruschetta that had delicious homemade bread, creamy risottos that were rich and flavourful (I had both the speck and mushroom one and the asparagus and almond one, both delicious) and well-recommended wine to complete the set. The portions were huge, perfect for one person but also I split a main into two and still left feeling full. The family running the place were very friendly and attentive, leaving nothing to be desired. Highly recommend!
Well. I’m Italian so finding a place that actually have not only italian food but good aswell is hard. Take Italy Bistrot has amazing food, the real deal. They welcomed us fantastically, we felt like we were back to Italy. The coffee was spectacular, the “Cornetto” ( croissant) with Nutella was to die for. this will definitely be my new favourite place in town. If I could give 100 stars I would. The owners are an amazing family from Calabria. We had a lovely chat. 10/10

If you're going out with your family or friends, just go and try the food.Don't compare prices with other restaurants because with premium quality food, there is no comparison. They differentiate on quality and authenticity.If you want to have a treat, have a real, delicious treat - one that leaves great memories of food brought over from Italy to Grantham, and genuinely prepared by Italians who are committed to serving you good food.
Lovely authentic atmosphere, we were one of the few bookings that didn't cancel on a stormy November night. The staff were very welcoming and attentive without being pushy. Wonderful experience soon to be repeated.
