Visiting from Lousiana where my husband consults in the culinary industry. Our breakfast including avocado toast with poached egg and beef hash with egg were exceptional. Our service was personable with Ashley at the hem teaching a new “duckling” the ropes. She was personable and friendly. Easy to talk to and feel welcomed. The avocado micro greens were super fresh. My husband’s beef with hash was the local special and he enjoyed it very much. What blew us away was the local home vibe and the owner in the trenches with his workers. You rarely see this. He appeared kind, eager to help and easy to speak to. Overall impressed for this local mom and pop breakfast spot. It’s a hidden gem that all should experience if staying near by!
I have been to this place about three times and every time service is so great! The staff is so attentive and friendly! Food is also really good and well portioned. I have a stroller to take my baby and they always accommodate me with seating. I really appreciate the welcoming atmosphere when we dine here as it allows us to relax/enjoy a nice breakfast.
This was a nice breakfast and lunch diner. It is styled with the history of the diner, ducks of course, and sport memorabilia. It is cozy and has seating for the inside and the patio. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very good and gave great suggestions. The menu has a lot to choose from and you may select breakfast or lunch anytime. They serve quite a bit of breakfast selections for a reasonable price and for everyone’s palate. The country fried steak was really good, the eggs were delicious and are served to your liking. There’s regular coffee and hazelnut; the coffee is not that strong and very light. There’s regular potatoes are good and are made with bell peppers and onions. You can choose fruit, beans, and other selections for substitutions. The pancakes look delicious and so do the other meals. There is a special menu and it may include bison. It is kid friendly and is accessible to all. Parking is limited but there is street parking. It is open for only breakfast and lunch.
Amazing brunch place! Went here on a Sunday morning. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. We got there and got seated quickly. They did mess up our order, but the food was good so we just chose to accept it because the food here is just THAT good. Their wonton nachos are really good and we got the chili Verde omelet by mistake. The chili Verde omelet was great, but theres no spice. It was like just having good chicken in an omelet. We also ordered the Mega Mimosa and it was super worth it. They have a lot of juice options like mango, guava, pomegranate, grapefruit, and orange juice. The bottle of bubbly was decently sized so for two people you'll get a nice buzz. The staff was sweet and the music and vibes are really nice. Will definitely be coming back
I brought the family and my dogs on this trip. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean and my dogs were treated as well as I was. I’m sad I’m not a local however I will make this a stop the next time I’m in town!! The food came in large quantities. Mother in law ordered their Texas French toast. She was shocked to see 5 actual size pieces of French toast that tasted as good as they looked. My wife ordered the Kentucky biscuit and gravy. She was very happy with her choice. Finally I ordered the wet burrito it was very hefty and filling. Being a big man I appreciate a filling breakfast. Ps. The dogs had a 3 eggs scramble with potatoes. They also enjoyed their meal!
I’m honestly blown away with how amazing this place is! Ambiance: 9/10 Slightly outdated but well maintained! I love the decor and the place is clean and makes me feel safe to dine here. Service: 10/10 I love the team work! Everyone here works together to ensure the customers are happy. My server and the gentleman who works in the back both took great care of me and made sure I was happy and satisfied during my dining experience. Food: 9/10 To be fair I have only tried the avocado toast but it was literally the BEST avocado toast I have ever had! I love that I received two pieces of toast which most places only provide one slice of toast. I also added an egg which was slightly overcooked but I was okay with the result. I wanted to order the mega mimosa but the server told me that the mimosas were on a special for $5/ea which I definitely took advantage of. I love when servers help you save money! It lets me know they care more about your experience than earning a better tip from you spending more money. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I will definitely be back and I will recommend this place to many people. Please do yourself a favor and stop by for the amazing service and quality food items.
Great brunch spot for that classic feel local dinner joint. They have their main dinning inside as well for an covered patio seating that wraps around. We sat by the front in a booth which I think is the best seat in the place for sure. They have specials, staff is friendly, accommodating and on point even when they are busy. I got the cinnamon banana fresh toast with a side of sausage links, and a hazelnut coffee. It was so delicious, I was just taking my time devouring eat flavor packed bite. Seriously no syrup needed at all it was just perfect! This place literally has plenty of options for whatever it is you’re craving as well for cocktails or mimosas. I highly recommend coming here to get your grub on.

Disclaimer: Food reviews are subjective. What I enjoy, you may not—and just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad. It simply means it wasn’t to my personal taste. With that said, here’s my review. I stopped by The Crooked Duck and had a really solid experience overall. What We Ordered Flat Iron Steak & Eggs (Steak and eggs with caramelized onions, breakfast potatoes, and toast) Corned Beef Hash & Eggs (Served with breakfast potatoes and toast) Banana Nut Muffin The Food The banana nut muffin was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite item of the meal — moist, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The steak, eggs, and potatoes were okay overall. My only issue was that the steak and potatoes were a bit too salty for my taste. That said, the pieces of steak that weren’t overly salty were actually really good and flavorful, so it wasn’t a total miss. Atmosphere & Service This is a small restaurant with amazing decor and a great vibe. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Customer service was excellent, and the owner was super cool and friendly, which really added to the experience. Overall Experience Good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. With a little less salt on some of the dishes, this place would be even better. I’d definitely come back and try more items.
We came to The Crooked Duck for a relaxed breakfast with the family, and it immediately felt like one of those neighborhood spots locals genuinely love. The vibe is cozy and laid-back, with a mix of diner charm, sports memorabilia, and quirky duck decor that gives it personality without trying too hard. We were seated quickly, and even though it was busy, it never felt rushed or chaotic. It’s the kind of place where you can actually sit, talk, and enjoy your coffee. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs, and it was exactly what I was craving—crispy, hearty, and comforting, with eggs cooked just right and toast on the side. Others at the table went for the Crooked Duck omelette and pancakes, and everything came out hot and generous. The coffee kept coming, the Bloody Marys were solid, and the service was friendly and attentive without hovering. Overall, it’s an easygoing spot with good food, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere—perfect for a casual breakfast or brunch when you just want something satisfying and familiar done well.
Had a great time here for my birthday lunch. Customer service was amazing. My only downside was the restroom only had one stall, plus when getting out the restroom, the door knob is broken and it took a while to get out of it, which explained why it took people a long time to get out of it
Out of the 3 places my son and I ate at in Long Beach we both enjoyed this spot the most. Food was good, and great atmosphere. 4 stars for the food because my potatoes were not that hot. They tasted great though. In the pictures is the breakfast menu, 3-3-3 French toast and 3-3-3 with waffles. Will definitely return when we are on the area again.
Great food and service! Dishes were a bit expensive, but hoping to come back to try more. The drinks were also delicious!

The food was amazing. They got our order a little wonky at first but made up for it in the end. The atmosphere was really fun and the service was spot on. I had the Greek omlet, I couldn't exactly …
I ordered through DoorDash. I ordered a two eggs breakfast that ended up not coming with any eggs. They said they had substituted the eggs for potatoes. We wanted the eggs and the potatoes. The picture for the meal is super confusing. The picture makes it appear that it comes with eggs, a protein, potatoes, and a choice of bread. For our order we were given potatoes, English muffin, and bacon for $18, no eggs. The other order was a bacon burger, without cheese, with sweet potatoes fries. I asked for mayo and ketchup packets but I didn’t receive either. The burger was good, I could have used more condiments. The egg breakfast needed eggs and jam. I did call the restaurant to tell them about the issues. However, since we ordered through door dash nothing could be done. I would only eat here again if I was able to visit the restaurant in person. I loved the drawings on the containers that was a very cute touch.
This place has fallen off as of late. Portion sizes are down, food is inconsistent, prices are up(understandably). Used to be a gem but you can tell they are starting to skimp more and more.

Been going to The Crooked Duck for 9yrs. I absolutely (Loved) this place. I went there with my husband many many many times before bringing my best friend making this a regular spot to eat an amazing…
This was my first time at this restaurant, my daughter brought me here for the first time. We ordered a supposedly veggie omelette after sitting viewing the menu. After we ordered and was speaking to the server is when she told me there would be a .50 cent sir-charge on each egg and due to this being a three egg omelette we would be paying an extra $1.50. Trying to tell us that eggs are expensive even though eggs are down in price 83%, then trying to tell us tariffs are the reason, but if you buy from egg farms in the US as he told us he does, the tariffs do not affect you. After sitting there for only about 3 to 5 minutes here comes our omelette which is impossible for a three egg veggie omelette. She told us not to touch the plate because it was hot. This is because it was pre-cooked and they heat it up in an oven. The cheese that was suppose to be in the omelette but was placed on top and burnt to a dark brown crisp, and was paper thin with maybe a spoon of veggies. We sent omelette back and left after speaking to the owner. While getting in our vehicle, the owner came running out agreeing with everything we were saying that the omelette was way overcooked and the cook put cheese on top of it to hide the fake that it was burnt. Terrible experience because part of the food was cold and omelette was burnt, we believe it was pre-made food heated up in an oven. They should have it posted on their menu if a .50 cent up-charge on anything, and pancake batter uses eggs but no up-charge. We should have been served fresh food cooked correctly and not have been lied to or misled about anything because they thought we would not notice. This is what an omelette should look like, and my daughter cooked this.
