I wish Kora wasn’t as good as it was, because living 2 blocks away is honestly dangerous. Every single pastry is delicious and they are constantly coming out with new, creative pastries for holidays and the change of seasons. Not only are the flavors incredible, the pastries themselves are expertly made. To top it all off the owners are so kind and friendly and every member of their staff is always so nice and ready to give recommendations when you just can’t choose. I’d eat there every meal if I wouldn’t end up on a TLC show.

On my NYC bakery crawl, this was my 6th and final stop! My second visit to the lovely Kora. I was so excited to grab some pastries and share with friends this time as we flew up for some shows (but mainly to eat, lets be serious here). Kora is just an absolute delight. A bright space with large windows in the front as well as windows to their kitchen, it feels warm and welcoming. They have perfected blending art with flavor and we all get to be the recipients of that. Filipino-inspired, I love these flavors. Being in Nashville, we unfortunately don't have a bakery like this so Kora is a must when I'm in NYC and can make it to Sunnyside. The staff is kind and patient and let's you take your time to choose your pastries. And they are all so beautiful and delicious looking, you will probably need a few moments! It never hurts to look at their instagram to do a little pre-investigation. On this trip, I chose 6 pastries as well as some of their ube and coconut cookies (which are delicious). For pastries I got: cranberry, guava & white chocolate brioche; manila cream fried brioche; ube babka swirl; ube brioche; ensaymada croissant; and salted egg brioche. My recommendation to you? Try everything. You won't be sorry.

i visited on a weekday around 12pm, most of the pastries started to clear out but luckily id gotten a few goodies to try. ube donut was phenomenal, cinnamon sugar crueler was so soft and delectable, and lastly the banana cookie was pleasantly chewy and delightful. the service was great, loved the atmosphere! i will absolutely be returning!

A true 5 stars experience! We did wait in line on a Saturday at peak pastry time but it moved decently fast and were met with top tier service and food that was worth waiting for. The owner thanked everyone for waiting in line and the people running it were so kind to even bring over extra napkins when they saw us caked in powdered sugar splitting 6 different items. Everything we tried was light and flaky despite being a decadent dessert. The ube donut was okay, but least favorite (this is probably just personal preference). If you have a sweeter tooth and love fruit pastries - favorites were the blueberry calamansi pastry and the pomegranate danish

My first time there was amazing! The staff was so friendly! The place looked so clean and overall the atmosphere was lovely. It had a cozy, feel at home vibe. As a fellow Filipina the desserts are a good sweet but not too sweet! The flavors I had reminded me of home ❤️

The best bakery I’ve visited. The pastries are unique and flaky, and love all the Filipino flare. DON’T sleep on their cookies! The ube coconut cookie is SO good (among the rest of them which were all also delicious). We live in Dallas, and none of the bakeries here are near as good. I’ve ordered their cookies to be shipped to home and can’t wait to receive them.

My favorite bakery in nyc!!! I’m Filipino & I love all the flavors and twists on classics. My favorites are the kamotecue danish (fall 2025 special), spam & cheese croissant, and ensaymada croissant. All of their crullers are incredible too. Things used to sell out in the first ~3 hours, but now I feel like you can go around noon and still (mostly) have your pick of anything. Despite the store always being busy, the staff are so kind and patient! Drinks are great too and I love that they always have a hojicha option

I've been meaning to try Kora and I finally did. First, the place is absolutely gorgeous! So clean, spacious and welcoming! I got 3 pastries and each was phenomenal! I especially enjoyed the Ube Coconut cookie! I can't wait to go back to try more. The staff is so friendly and helpful too!

If you’re planning a visit to Kora, take my advice: get there early. I arrived around 9:00 AM, and it was the perfect strategy. At that hour, the pastry case is fully stocked with the best selection before the midday rush thins things out. Manila Cream & Pomegranate Cheesecake Danish: This was a standout. The balance between the rich, velvety cream and the bright, tart pop of the pomegranate was incredible. Smokey Mountain Hot Drink: Truly lives up to its name. It has a distinct smokey profile paired with a deep, nutty finish—warm, comforting, and unique. The ambiance is what really ties it all together. The space has a wonderful, welcoming energy that makes you want to linger. I loved the vibe so much that I’m already planning my next visit—I’ll definitely be bringing a book to settle in for a while.

Overall this place is pretty great. The doughnut are always very fresh and delicious. The service is good people work fast and are very friendly and helpful. I had never stay and ate my doughnuts there but it looks very clean and chill. I do believe the prices are a bit high for doughnuts and cookies but they are pretty tasty.

I am SO impressed with how beautiful everything looks and tastes. I got almost one of everything, and it was all so amazing! Thoroughly appreciated how patient and sweet the staff is— the options all deliciously overwhelming! Faves were the spam and cheese pain suisse and the white chocolate cranberry brioche donut. The Hojicha latte was also very good!

I went in today and purchased the following pastries: Ube Fried Brioche, Sans Rival Fried Brioche, Leche Flan Fried Brioche, Cinnamon Sugar Cruller, Blood Orange & Milk Chocolate Danish. They were incredibly delicious, full of flavor, soft, and best of all: FRESH! Parking - There’s street parking with a paid meter. You can look for free parking on the adjacent residential streets. Accessibility: This store is solid ground level with no step or raised flooring upon entrance. The two entrance doors open up from the middle out, making it a spacious entry. Staff- everyone working there is just wonderful. They seem to be happy to serve the customers, always smiling, super polite, and engage kindly with everyone. Seating- There are small tables and chairs lined up on the whole left side of the shop. Con- The lines are usually long and all the seats are usually taken. If you have your eye on a specific pastry, it could be gone by the time it’s your turn to order (happens a lot). But I’d say this con is more of a “pro” because it says a lot about the quality of these pastries that is driving everyone to get there hands on them.

This has been on my list for a while and I am so glad I finally got to try it! We tried the cinnamon cruller, the ube, the flan, the spam and cheese, and the classic croissant with an ube latte and a matcha pandan. Everything was so delicious, but I think my favorite was the flan and the spam and cheese. But the best part of my visit was how sweet and hospitable the staff was. Everyone had a smile and was so lovely, even though it was busy busy busy! Thank you and keep up the amazing work! ❤️

The pastries? Delectable. The donuts?? Immaculate. Five stars. Family came here and we tried just about 60% of the selection. The Spam and cheese was savory, spam-salty, flaky-- a very nice treat for 8.75 (price at the time of writing). The donuts are currently 7. The leche flan lives up to the hype, and the ube was so soft and so halaya. We greatly enjoyed the salted coconut. The kamoteque (sweet potato) was also a delight, but I'm glad I tried the kalabasa (pumpkin) during an earlier visit; would've felt redundant to have both in one sitting. The black sesame hojicha crueller was delicately nutty and airy. (Quick edit: the salted egg is salty as labelled but possibly too salty for some palates. A risky order.) The drinks were also really delicious! Sweet, mostly, but flavorful. I had the matcha pandan and ube latte (both iced) from a previous visit; this time we tried the turon hojicha latte (iced, sweet, and tasted like banana turon) and the apple tamarind cider (hot, nicely spiced and applely, with a hint of tartness from the tamarind). Service was very friendly and mostly attentive, given how busy the cafe was. The interior itself feels open and spacious. However, seating favors couples, and due to the style of the furniture, passively discourages groups of 4 or more. It would be nice if there were extra stools on hand to at least let 2 more people crowd around a small table. As for the line management: cafe prefers to let a batch of customers out before letting more inside, as opposed to letting a few out/a few in more frequently. Which is nice from the inside, but seems kind of awful for those waiting outside, especially in inclement weather. I hope when the weather gets much colder and there's still a line out of the door, the cafe figures something out. In summary, Kora is absolutely worth the trip for a sweet treat, but you're better off ordering take-out if your group is 4 or more.

Kora Bakery in Sunnyside is such a nice surprise. They have a lot of Filipino-inspired desserts that are both creative and delicious. The ube coconut cookie is super moist and flavorful the kind of cookie you’d go back for. The flan donut is also a standout; it literally has a piece of flan on top with caramel underneath, which makes it rich and perfectly sweet. The cinnamon crawler is really good too, light and just the right amount of sweetness. I also tried the croissant with butter, sugar, and cheese the cheese has a nice aged flavor that makes it unique and addictive. The decor inside is clean and modern with plenty of seating, so it’s a good spot to sit down, relax, or get some work done. There’s a large window where you can see right into the kitchen, and everything looks very organized back there. It’s always nice to see the bakers working behind the scenes. Overall, it’s a great bakery with a lot of thought put into both the food and the space.

So yummy! We went around 3 pm on a Saturday and they were unfortunately sold out of the ube donuts, but still had a lot of stock left! The line wasn't too long, we waited maybe 10 minutes inside. I loved the tres leches danish and spam and cheese croissant! ($18) The black sesame cruller my friend got was also delicious and had a unique flavor. The service was phenomenal, the workers were super nice and hospitable, especially the co-founder Kevin! Highly recommend and will be coming back :)

This place is my favorite bakery EVER and I’ve been to a bunch. The leche flan donut is the best dessert I have ever had, amazing caramel flavor and softness and just so delicious! The ube donut is really great as well. I also really enjoyed the ube and pandan iced drinks this place has. Love this place so much and want to come back!

I have wanted to try Kora doughnuts since they worked out of their apartment! The hype was worth it! The doughnuts were soft and full of wonderful flavors. I am so happy I was able to finally try them and told my husband we are going back for a doughnut date!!!

I always enjoy going to KORA! All the donut flavors are amazing — I love how they’re inspired by Filipino flavors, each one is so unique & delicious. The drinks are great too, with Filipino twists that make them stand out. Definitely one of my favorite spots for something sweet & special here in Queens borough.

The best pastries place for me! Everything here was so good!! There was a long line but it was worth it every single bites. Everything here is perfect sweet, the pastries were so warm, crispy, fluffy and airy. The fillings were amazing!!! Imagine having those with matcha latte in the morning~ lovely way to start the day. The atmoshpere was nice, not a lot of seats but cozy and clean.

SO SO YUM! The pastries and even the drinks are delicious here. Savory: you gotta try the spam and cheese pan suisse. It's so good and full of umami. The ube donut is ube heaven in (many) bites. The others were great too - the strawberry matcha crueler is perfectly crispy with a great matcha frosting. The cookies are amazing too. Everything is quite large so I highly recommend to share or save as a second sweet treat for yourself for later :)

We visited Kora recently and had a nice experience overall. The regular drip coffee was decent and had a solid coffee flavor. We also tried their signature pandan matcha latte — it tasted good and was well balanced, but the flavor was very similar to other pandan matcha lattes we’ve had at other shops, so it didn’t feel especially unique to us. We ordered the ube donut and the cranberry guava donut. The ube had a rich, fragrant flavor that we really enjoyed — that one was our favorite. The cranberry guava donut was also very good, with a generous amount of filling and a nice sweet-tart balance. Their donuts are made from fried brioche, so the texture is more like fried bread. We usually prefer something softer and more fluffy, but we can still appreciate the concept and craftsmanship. The shop itself is very clean, bright, and comfortable. The desserts are beautifully made and feel refined. We would still come back if we’re in the area.

Had the privilege to try their DELISHH seasonal pastries when my Queens friends brought them over! They're filling and quite hefty, in the best way! The uniqueness of flavors and size of the pastries make them worth the price. Everything was honestly good! Special shoutout to the Leche Flan, which was texturally nice with the Brioche dough. The Ube was also pretty good! Don't be overwhelmed by the outlook lol Great to pair these pastries with a bev to balance out all the sweets. I love that Kora rotates their menu with seasonal offerings. Expect about a ~20 min wait due to its popularity. This spot is worth a try!

Was a couple blocks away and decided to get this off the bucket list. Bought an Ube donut and the blood orange chocolate cronut sort of thing. And a BBG (or something) cookie that had dates and salted toffee. On average about $7 a donut and $5 a cookie. Cookie was the best one easily. The donuts look good and feel wholesome but the flavor is pretty understated. I was looking for a donut that reminded me of those glutinous vids you see of people eating crazy donuts and it didn’t really give me that. I prefer my desserts sweet and rich. Vibe inside is nice, maybe 7-8 tables at max and all occupied. It’s a modern understated bakery. Service was really nice, definitely helpful if you’re indecisive. Glad I went but probably not the place I’d go again, doesn’t feel like it’s worth it.

I can’t explain but just GO! Everything is mouthwatering and beautiful. Bring a few people so you can share and try a few different ones. I would say everything for the most part is pretty sweet. They also have specialty drinks: hot and cold. There is a good amount of seating but this place is always busy especially on the weekends.

The queue moves really slowly. The ube latte and flan donut was outstanding and wasn’t too sweet. Unfortunately, the ube coconut cookie was too sweet for my liking and I can’t really taste much ube. The oli taste from the ube donut overpowers the ube flavour but the donut itself is really soft and fluffy and there’s a good amount of ube paste inside.

Great place to try a variety of baked goods with Filipino-inspired flavors. We ordered several items, and while everything was good, nothing really stood out as a “must-have” for me. I liked everything but didn’t love anything. I usually ask myself if there’s something I’d crave or come back specifically for, and based on that, I’m a bit neutral overall. Some items were better than others (especially the Manila cream brioche and the hot chocolate), but a few flavors didn’t quite hit the mark. Still worth checking out if you enjoy trying unique pastries and new flavor combinations.

This Filipino bakery in Sunnyside, Queens, has a very clean and welcoming interior, making it a comfortable place to visit. The bakery offers amazing breads that can easily rival popular spots in Manhattan. They have a wide variety of Filipino-inspired breads, such as purple yam pastries, buns filled with flan, and croissants topped with plenty of coconut. Each item is unique, creative, and incredibly delicious—truly unlike anything I’ve tried before. It’s the perfect spot when you want to try something different from your usual bread. They also offer interesting drinks, like taro (purple yam) lattes, which I highly recommend. Because it’s a popular spot, the store can get busy, and you might have to wait about 10 minutes. Finding a seat can also be a little tricky, but takeout is always a great option. Even just one pastry is worth trying—this bakery is definitely highly recommended.
