Great tasting food friendly staff ....worth a wait if they get a little busy
Great food and cheap prices, the service was great also.
Best Mexican food in Longview. The salsa has a great spice to it. Large portions. Great prices.
I have been coming here to eat for 11 yrs. No place better for a great meal.
I love this place. Food is always fresh and delicious. There on point!!!
Food was good as was the service, I'd recommend it, nice laid back atmosphere.
Great food and great prices. Salsa is unique for the area and on the spicier side! Will totally eat here again.
The food was excellent. The service was great. I had the beef fajitas and it was a marvelous portion
Did an order over phone...got there order was taken wrong but mgr took care of it in 2 mins and didnt have to wait...5mins my food was ready.....got apology and great customer service....will come back.
Excellent Food.. Fantastic service. Been going there for along time..
Absolutely the best Mexican food in Longview... Perfect rice, and food wasn't bathing in grease... Going back once a week!!
One of my favorite places to go for lunch when I used to work in Longview. Sometimes I think about making the 100+ mile trip back just for old times sake.
Hands down the best mexican food in East texas! The salsa is very spicy and tastes fresh. The service is fast!
Excellent food. Service is fast Great salsa. This place is consistently excellent
First time here, and it’s really good, I may have found my new favorite place for lunch.
One of our favorite places when we lived in Longview. We still stop here to grab a bite when driving through. Martha is the best!
I will be coming in there for the first time with my friend. We are both new in town and excited to try a good Mexican food restaurant. That is severely lacking in this town. Anything off the menu i should know about? I want great beans and great food! Thanks in advance.
Excellent food. We stopped here on the way through town and absolutely loved the cheese enchiladas. Service and food were wonderful.
Best mexican food! Great chips and salsa! Guacamole is awesome and fresh! Fajitas are so good. I love the shrimp tampico and quesadillas. Been going here for years, never met anyone who didnt like it!
Hole in the wall but the food we had was outstanding. We will plan our stop on our routine trips back east. Too bad we always come back through on Sundays and they aren't open otherwise we would plan on that stop too.
Tacos. Amazing ground beef tacos. They seem like such a common menu item in today's world, but ElRincon gets them right. And of course, don't forget the awesome fresh house-made salsa. Great lunch if you can get a table.
I've been coming here since 2003. They're a wonderful family there food is Amazing as their service. They offer to go.
I asked the young lady working there for a recommendation, a chicken quesadilla was her favorite she said. It was OUTSTANDING! Thank you! The glass bottle of Coke really topped it off.
This is a good quick stop for tasty Mexican food. The enchiladas are good and the hot sauce is delicious. Plus you have to get one of the tall Mexican Cokes to drink.
Quality food for a good price. Salsa is tasty, but medium rather than mild, so munch with care if you can only handle mild.
Great Service, Great Food, Great Prices. A go to place for all around quick bite to eat and authentic Mexican Food no doubt. *I am Mexican and I approve this Restaurant!
management was very polite, staff was good and helpful, food was excellent, I will continue eating there, I loved it good atmosphere, I wish I could get more than 5 stars to that restaurant
OMG, food is excellent! I'm so full🤗. Ladies are sweet and food comes fast! I had 2 chicken enchiladas!! Very Satisfied..
Love this little restaurant, food is always good fresh and hot* The people working there are very friendly and nice Restaurant seems well kept and clean.
Great food in a relaxing atmosphere! The staff are very friendly! My family eats here almost every time we go to Longview!
My favorite Mexican food with great service. Me and 12 friends ate there last night. Awesome.
It was my first time there and had a great time. Can't wait to return. Prices were very reasonably and very authentic to their regional flare.
Very friendly atmosphere...a true Diamond in the rough..very clean for an older restaurant and the food is so delicious...true homemade every day and everything tastes wonderful.. excellent dining for everyone..
They have the best Chili Rilleno I've ever had! The food and the service is consistent - that is the hardest thing to achieve in the restaurant business. 😊
Awesome food. Not pretty on the outside but a great mom and pap shop. Ask for the special sauce!!!
Very good food from a locally owned and ran business. Enjoyed eating here while I went to LeTourneau. I recommend the chicken quesadilla!
It has been a favorite of mine for years. Great food and very reasonable prices. You can't lose with this one.
I love El Rincon; it's my restaurant to attend on taco Tuesday. They have the best tacos in Longview to me because of the seasoning and spice. Their refried beans are light and don't give me acid reflux, the rice is exceptional and the salsa is really good. They have great sweet tea and the flour tortillas are divine. I pick up my food, but my things are always separated to assure there'll be no sogginess; it's perfect EVERYTIME. They're on the Southside of town so it's a drive, but it's worth it. The customer service is always on point; they're friendly and kind. Don't take my word for it; go check them out for yourself. This is just my perspective.
I had a asada with cheese Burrito. Actually it was 2 burritos in the plate. Enormous plate. It was really good. Rice could be a little fluffier. Beans had really good taste. All food was great. Excellent service. Very clean.
The food was excellent as usual. Thank you to the owner and staff. The card wouldn't work so she trusted us to bring the money back. Wow. We are for ever thankful. Thank you so much for what you did for the lady in wheel chair.💜
Best you will get in town. They are trying to stay open during this quarantine. Called in order and picked it up at their drive thru window. Food was ready when we got there and was packed up nicely. Food was great as always and they included chips and salsa.
One of our family favorites! Food and service are fantastic.
Best Food in town! with great service! Wonderful a` la carte menu so you can get exactly what your heart desires. The freshest guacamole to start any meal and excellent sopapillas to finish! In between you can get your fill of chicken fajitas or chicken fajita nachos, stew with tortillas, regular or fried burritos covered in sour cream, queso, or chili, or any of the myriad other delights on the menu...they are all delicious! AND its FAMILY OWNED!
Food is ways fresh and the servers are very friendly. So is the owner. I like the way they work together, greet the people and say thanks when they finish processing your order and you leaving.
First time in and it was great. Don't believe the negative reviews, just try it out for yourself. Best tex Mex food I've had since I been in East Tx. Staff is very friendly and very attentive. This place is a gem We will definitely be back.
Quaint little place to go. Food is always good. Only one time service was slow. Been there quiet a bit. They have my repeat business.
We had a great experience. The family atmosphere is very enjoyable. The service was amazing. I asked for suggestions and the recommendations did not disappoint.
Service was quick and very friendly. Food was delicious and just hit the spot! PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE ORIGINAL LOCATION IN SOUTHSIDE OF LONGVIEW!!! NOT WHITE OAK!!!! I don't understand how the owners can't smell, taste, and see that the flavors are so far apart from the Longview location and the White Oak location. I went to the White Oak location since I live there of course and I'll tell you now I walked in with my smokin hot lady and ordered up some awesome grub only to get out plates and leave the entire plate sitting on the table with $30.00 to pay for it. It was so far from what we actually ordered and so terrible that we couldn't even force ourselves to eat it especially since it was my smokin hot lady's first time. I couldn't let this location ruin it for the Longview location. I have yet to be able to convince her to try it again still though but I'm not a quitter. I'll get her in there and give them a chance of redemption. We settled for what you see in the picture instead. And she was happy again!
I so love this place. I mostly get the beef burritos topped with chili sauce & cheese but there hard shell tacos, taco salad and philly steak sandwiche are also good although the philly steak sandwich are quite small I think for the price. Staff is very friendly
This is my favorite Tex-Mex place in East Texas. The food is always fresh. The chips are served warm and the salsa is the perfect blend of tomatoes and jalapeños. Tacos, enchiladas, nachos and more always prepared to order. The place is in an old converted Dairy Queen, but don' t let the look of the place fool you. Friendly service. Cold beer.
If the place were just a bit bigger it might be perfect ... or it might not be quite as good somehow. That's the only blemish on El Rincon. I've eaten there since 1999 and it is hands-down my favorite Tex-Mex anywhere besides home. The secret seems to be super-fresh ingredients and preparation (and genuine, home-style recipes ... tastes like home cooking from when I grew up in New Mexico and West Texas). The portions are significant. The chips are fresh (unsalted!) and the salsa has a bite to it. The prices are cray for the quantity and quality of the food. And the service is busy. They do take reservations (it is not a fancy joint at all), so you might consider that before trying them for weekday lunch. I've stood in the doorway for as long as 15 minutes for an open table ... and it was worth the wait. No one I have ever taken there has ever complained or refused to go back again.
Excellent experience. Small place, small prices, big on taste. We ordered the steak burrito and a chorizo burrito for $9.99 ea. The place was very clean and bright.
El Rincon is the classic spot for a quick lunch. Good food, enough space for the crowd that shows up every day for lunch.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is phenomenal, the prices are very reasonable, ans the service can't be beat. The owner is genuinely one of the sweetest people and treats customers like family.
Food is always great and the owner is a friendly, hardworking lady! They have the best fajitas in town! Most items are gluten free.
It's been a while since I visited, but El Rincon is still an awesome place. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are great. Their salsa is extra spicy, which is perfect for me, but might be too much for a more delicate tongue. Also, and importantly, you can get deep fried burritos, which are as delicious as they sound!
The best authentic food, especially fond of the cheese chile rellenos here! Friendly staff as well. Just a very simple tasty home cookin mom & pop shop! Always hot, fresh & delicious 😋 Give them a try.. No disappointment at El Rincon
Some Real Deal Mexican food in Longview Texas. None of that tex-mex stuff you find that other restaurants this is actual authentic Mexican food. Started off with standard chips and salsa. Chips were served warm and the salsa was delicious. Not too spicy it had just the right amount of kick to it. Ordered the two cheesy enchiladas with rice and beans. Bonus point they do not skimp out on the cheese and the meal was absolutely delicious. Ordered the three pork tamales with rice and beans. This was kid approved and enjoyed. Ordered one beef and cheese burrito and this was has been approved. Also had a side of french fries and these were absolutely delicious super think you could tell they were homemade. Don't be scared of the location you're just fine and you'll be safe. This restaurant stays busy day and night.
Food was top notch! Ordered chicken enchiladas and it came with a healthy serving of beans and rice. Some of the best beans and rice I've had. The prices were great during lunch and decent for dinner. Staff was friendly and familiar. Would definitely recommend El Rincon!
We've been twice in one week now....Our new favorite place to eat!! Ms. Martha is super sweet and always makes us feel at home. The food is delicious and price is great for the very reasonable prices. Great service plus great food is an absolute Win Win. Driving by you might wonder but if you pass on by you are making a big mistake....We almost did but so glad we didn't. Love love love it!!
The salsa could be better, nachos be dry chips too hard
There is always some room for improvement. I love my enchiladas. Keep up the yummy work.
Wait staff very friendly. Beans were a little thin & on the bland side. Other than that, wasn't bad. Will go again.
The food is really good. The service was good and no waiting. I highly recommend it if you want good Mexican food.
No dine in. Walk up/call in orders. My food was ok but did not look like the photos.
I had the 1/2 order of beef fajitas. The beef was pretty good, well seasoned; the refried beans were very under-salted. The service was pretty good, and friendly.
Good Tex-Mex food, large portions and friendly service. More family style dining. I have been here 4 times in the last year.
Good food. One of the best Mexican places I've been to since I've moved to Texas. Food actually has flavor. They're always busy. Place could use a little updating.
Have been going here for years. We love the food and Miss Martha is the best! So friendly! Unfortunately, the server we had today was bothered because we showed up. She was quite rude. But that is not the norm.
One of my favorite Mexican food places in town. Great lunch stop. Evenings it’s pretty empty and a bit of a drive from the house.
The tacos I ordered through the drive thru were very good, but spicy 🔥. I enjoyed them !! And they are not stingy with the meat! Just maintain that same consistency every time people patronize you.
The food is good and the staff was friendly, great place for a quick lunch, the building could use some TLC
Please update your hours on google and at your business. Google says 8pm closing time; the sign on your door says 745 yet I showed up before 730 and y'all were shut down.
I have been to this location and the White Oak, TX location. The food at the Mobberly restaurant location was too spicy for my taste. Customer service is alright.
Food was mediocre at best and pricey
When they first opened the service was better. Many in the community feel that their success has gone to their heads. Attitudes are curt and short now. The people that supported them and kept them afloat at the very start see it. I no longer eat there and it's only 1 block away.
Everything was just "ok". Sour Cream served in packages. Seems as if they were saving or preserving their supplies. My food was diced in small pieces, and I asked for slices 👀. No communication, you have to wait to be seated, but no one tells you that you have to walk to the register at the close of the meal. We were a bit confused on how they operate. For a simple. Nachos no cheese, only meat with sauteed bell peppers and grilled onions, it seemsed to be a BIG DEAL 👀🤔🙄😐😶😕.
Their chips and salsa are pretty good. I had enchiladas and rice. It was ok. Not the best, but better than Teles.. The lady told us there would be an extra charge for credit card usage. Most places in longview do that. I was expecting the usual 2.5-3.5%. Went from 12.55 to 13.05. Seems a little high. Just a thought
Place is good. But seems as if they kept the chicken out in the heat open a little too long. Got food poisoning & coworker had different meal so narrowed it down to the chicken. Be awhile before we’re back.. Just hope the cooks keep meat up to correct temp.
It's a popular place but the foods a bit bland for my taste. It's better places around town.
I just don't think I'm going to return here... The last few times I've been in my order has been wrong and the last time I went in my order was wrong and they acted as if I was intruding showing up at 7:00 at night.
Food is ok my experience for be the first time mmmmm disappointeI tried to eat in that place but since both the manager and the waitress made faces as if they were giving away the food, what an ugly attitude, severe, not a joke, I return to that place and I absolutely do not recommend it and I still ask what they had to drink and a desire to talk very ugly the girl I am going to consume but it is not for them to treat you like this nobody deserves that
The food is good. However, the salsa is way too hot and the service is horrible. You have to ask for refills and that is if you can get the waitresses to come from the front talking or get off their cell phones. Very unprofessional. I use to love going there, but I do not care to go back after today.
I absolutely love the food but the server's have always been just down right rude!
I eat here sometimes but after today I will not be back. The food was good but the waitress was horrible and rude.
I ordered and picked up enchilada plate with a taco and I was very dissatisfied. The enchiladas tasted like microwave food, very fake like and the price of it was not worth it, possibly at best $3.00 it should have been. Whenever I'm in Longview, never again would I get food from this place.
Our waitress could speak or understand English so after waiting forever for our food she brought 2 out of 3 wrong not wanting to wait longer 1 said just bring me rice and the 2cd said just bring me a scoop of juacamoli we got one refill of tea and that's cause we asked then we had to ask for our ticket and she charged us for the rice and juacamoli.......no kind of discount or anything it sucked all the way around
Me and my fiance went to the restaurant We We asked the waitress where we could be seated. She said we could only sit on the 2 seat only. So we waited on our food. The food arrived underneath the tortilla holder, there was a hair. That's gross
Been eating here for years came in tonight , and had the worst service ever the waitress was so rude , and hateful
Very rude… Told the woman, thank you she just closed the window on me. Didn’t greet me at all this very rude. I don’t know if she had a bad day or what but God bless her.
My mother, my sister, and I had lunch at this location. We enjoyed the chips and salsa. Salsa was a little spicy for my sister, but I enjoyed the freshness and that there was no aftertaste to it. That was the only good aspect of the lunch. I had the Lunch Fajitas, my mother had the Pollo Asada (grilled chicken), and my sister had the kids taco. The fajitas were tough, flavorless, and weirdly dry. I had to drown them in salsa to be able to chew it. I do not eat beans at restaurants so I got double rice. That rice was so dry that there was no way to make it edible. My mother's chicken was overcooked. The bean were definitely not fresh since they had an abnormal slimy texture to it. She left the rice untouched as I did. My little sister had awful taco. The ground meat was a pure taste of cumin. She left the food on her plate. The service was alright; no complaint there.
Ordered a full order of bean nachos with a scoop of pico. Was told it would be 12 pieces. Got back to office, it was only 8 pieces (which is a half order, I was charged for a whole order) Manager or Owner said no it couldnt be. They were stacked on top of each other. I KNOW this was NOT the case, as the chips were VERY soggy from the ride back to work that I scraped all the beans and cheeses off and put on the crispy chips in the bag I got with my meal! Salsa is very bland with no taste, but beans were good on nachos. Too much cheese. I wont be back. $9.03 down the drain...did NOT get what I paid for, THAT'S for sure! I took a picture of every soggy chip but cannot make it post...there were ONLY 8!
Worst Tex-Mex food ever!! Everything about this place is very unsatisfying. They don’t even carry aguas frescas!! Only fountain sodas! The wait time was ridiculous, and we were the only people inside. 30-45 minutes waiting only to find out that my food came out cold. Previous reviews state that it looks like microwaved food & they were not lying! DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR 4.5 STAR RATINGS!!
Stopped in for lunch. Like the last reviewer, the ONLY good thing about this place was the chips and salsa. Chips were hot and salsa tasted fresh. We enjoy queso with chips and salsa, so we ordered some. It was the reconstituted powder cheese that was separated and cooked in water! Nasty is the best way to describe it. I said something to our waitress who was busy the whole time watching her soap opera (pausing it to do her job). She said, "that's how we do it in Texas", definitely giving Texas and Mexican food a bad name. The tacos fell apart and had reheated beef and the enchiladas weren't woth eating either. Steer clear and go someplace else!
Waitress was very rude and acted like she was bothered to wait on us and then she got my order wrong! Would give no stars if it was an option. Will NOT be back!!!
I have never in my life experienced such poor service. The waitress was down right rude and stayed on her phone texting the entire time. We had to ask to place our order. We were not given any refills period or asked if we needed anything one time. We stood in line to pay and our waitress was on a personal call and did not promptly hang up but instead finished her call before checking us out. I do not understand how this restaurant stays in business. We will never be back. Food was expensive and terrible.
TOO PRIDEFUL TO THROW AWAY!!! Full but disappointed, the food is very bland and I wouldn't say authentic in the slightest. It tasted like something out of a microwave. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here if you're looking for decent Mexican food. The staff was friendly and pretty understanding but seemed like they already knew about how bad the food is. Originally we had ordered nachos and had to change them to the beef fajita burrito because the nachos were incredibly soggy and the portion size was extremely small for the amount they were charging. I couldn't bring myself to trash it after spending 70 dollars but I had to review to try to help people stay clear of this nightmare!
Not authentic Mexican food!!!!! Full but disappointed:( Ony reason I finished is because we spent $70, and I’m too prideful to throw it away. Called order ahead, food was ready on time and was hot. But the food was not what I was expecting. The nachos were a dozen tortilla chips with a little cheese and meat, tasted like nothing but the grease they were cooked in. The staff were very friendly when I had told them I was not expecting that and helped me replace them. The food was very bland, we had 3 different orders of the burrito combos, 3 beef tacos with corn tortillas and 2 puffy tacos. None of it had any flavor and felt like frozen food had been heated up in a microwave. The tacos were hard shell tacos like El Paso. Not authentic Mexican food
🤬👎Worst experience ever..read reviews online it stated best tamales in town 😡🤢🤮. Only if you like the flavor of can tamales. Waitress was the rudest we had to keep asking if we could order. Waitress keep saying I'll get your order in a min. There was only 2 tables and they were almost done. So we were only customers waiting. She just kept on sweeping while we waited to order. Reported waitress and they just said oh she's just tired, who's not. $70.00 thrown away.
