The pictures look different, but same name of the restaurant we dined. It was packed with locals and recommended by Alfredo’s Jewelry Store. Comparing to Mexican restaurants in US, the price is shockingly low. Meal for 2/$15! Staff were super nice & happy.
Such good food!! We had the pollo and carne asada tostada and the carne asada burrito. Tortillas made on the spot, and delicious. The tray that comes out with your food had everything you could ever need 😍 salsas were good, but would have been amazing if they were mixed together. The green avocado salsa is so light and refreshing with lime and cilantro, truly wish I could have brought a gallon of that back across the border. Everything we had with 2 Cokes came out to $14
The tacos dorados and tacos de cabeza are super good. The burritos de guisado are super good also. There is so much to pick from. The service is great. The totopos and salsa they have are super good you can even buy some to take home. The service is exceptional. Next time I'm trying there pollo asada it smell so delicious.
El Paisa is my favorite restaurant by far. They start out with complimentary nacho chips and THREE bowls of salsa and dip. The carne asada tacos were a hit everytime. They do the cooking out front of the restaurant along the sidewalk, such a cool vibe. The rice was tasty, the refried beans were great (and the only restaurant that actually served them hot) They bring out this big tray just for you with 5 compartments of cucumbers, red onions, cabbage (I think) pico and limes. Two tacos, rice, refried beans, chips, 3 dips, and tray that I described above for $6.00 They make local deliveries constantly. It's where the locals go. It's an authentic experience and it's good! Friendly people, too. Say hi to Hector!
Saw lots of locals here. Food smelled, looked and tasted fresh. Cheap prices. Chips and salsa, 2 tacos & 2 beers for $10
Went there for brunch. [ breakfast + Lunch ] ordered Beef tacos + Beef burrito, water & coffee It was supper delicious lol. Thank you for this tasty food
Nice little restaurant in Algodones. Best pozole inthe area.
Delicious! Wednesday is closed. The establishment is indoors too and they have air conditioning. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Ordered 1 bowl of beef and 2 bowls of goat, then got all the fixing for 🌮 tacos. We had 4 in our group and should have ordered 2 bowls, not three. Amazing salsa and chips. Our new favorite place.
Wow! The goat birria and goat soup are amazing. I wish I had eaten every meal here during my three days n Algodones

Brought my son down to Los Algodones for a little shopping and stopped in here for lunch. Absolutely delicious, authentic full of flavor. I will bring the family back on our next trip! Our server, Marlena, was so nice and helpful.
Wonderful flavored foods. Very nice family owned restaurant with friendly and fast service.
Food was amazing... service is sweet and courteous...price was on point. Highly recommended especially if your looking for authentic (not white people's Mexican 😅). Our new favorite spot (we come for dental work). American review 😊
Food was delicious we got birria tacos and a chicken quesadilla both were good. I also ordered a margarita which was very strong and tasty. The most annoying thing about eating here is you cannot enjoy a meal without being interrupted by vendors trying to sell you stuff.
This is my go to taco place when I'm in town. I love the people here and the traffic that comes through. With all the little trinkets, they're trying to sell. It's just a lot of fun and the food is so fabulous. 4 tacos 3 beers for $20 to $5 tip. Just so when I come back next time they remember me.
Good people right there 👏 👍 excellent service!!
The smell of the meat alone is enough of a reason to give this place a try. The birria tacos are the best! I got a margarita which came in a 32 ounce to go cup to go with an order of two tacos with rice and beans for about $13. I look forward to my next visit.
We come monthly to Los Algodones for my daughter's dental work and this is the best place for birria and tacos hands down. They have several different types of birria (my fav is the lamb) and its awesome whether in a bowl, burro, or taco durado. The pollo asado is excellent and the carne asada tacos are 2nd to none. The servers are hard working and kind, keeping up with our needs even when they are busy. The prices are great for the size of the meal. Its definitely a "hole in the wall" place, but with its own unique charm. Every time we bring someone here, they go home and rave about it.

I ordered my tacos without cheese, and made sure she acknowledged my request. When she brought my food, i noticed they had cheese. I ended up ordering 5 tacos and one coke. The total was $18 +$2 tip i left, and balance was $20. I should of just at back in the states for that price. This is my last place going to Birrieria el paisa for theyre over priced food.
