Love this place. Big selection of candies, kid's favorite place! :)
It was good fro-yo and the service was very good at making sure it was as contactless as possible to stay safe
Here's what you want to do: go in and order a float made with vanilla yogurt and orange cream soda. Trust me.
The best place for sweets. I even lost my $5 and they gave it back kindly.
Neighborhood shop with a candy wall, frozen yogurt, sandwiches, drinks, and more. Proceeds benefit the schools in the area.
Great service and food. Huge, clean bathroom.
Small quiet shop good pastries, candies, sandwiches and coffee. Friendly staff.
One of my favorite spots for coffee & light snack.
Perfect bike stop on a hot day for frozen yogurt... or a cold one for hot chocolate!
Awesome sweets, I love to go here and not a lot of money.
Great little shop in suburbia. Food and drinks are great
Coffee with scones are wonderful!
Best candy shop I know with really good prices.
I love the sweetshop! They are very kind!
Love this place. Just wish it was open past 5pm....

Great candy, frozen yogurt, drinks, and more!
Very nice place to buy sweets
Very nice selection of PEZ
Cute little spot with fantastic coffee
Great candy shop. The only true bin candy shop in downtown Los Altos (that I’m aware of). Owners are super nice.
Great selection of sweets. Decent tea. Seating indoors and outside. Frog fountain is back on.
Nice and cozy place to drink wonderful hot chocolate. They will donate 50% to the school district.
This store is absolutely darling. Do not drive by it! STOP. And buy a bag of chocolate malt balls or something else delicious.
Very nice. I bike here with my kids all the time. Perfect family outing.
Great environment, and the girls who work there are very sweet. Love the blood Orange chocolates
A nice little shop on the side of the road. Very clean ". A lot of high quality stuff and my kid loves it
The Sweet shop is the best candy, froyo, and food store ever. Great snacks and friendly people :)
Somehow I didn't know they have nice lunch offerings like croissantwich and coffee. It's not just sweets!
10 year old boy and 7 year old girl both were entranced. Lots of choices
Super nice little sweet shop. Small patio to the side with a fun fountain.
The owner's son (the youngest one) is a quality guy. great vibes, big swagger.
Lovely neighborhood coffee shop. The coffee and sandwiches are great!
Love this place. Nice and cozy! Good place to enjoy weekend afternoon and coffee and sweets!
Great little place, nice atmosphere, good food and coffee. Vera is really nice.
Location location location! This place is strategically at the outlet of the Los Altos -Palo Alto bike path.
Imaginative menu includes a wide range of sodas and unusual sandwiches. Very friendly staff
Great selection of candy, coffee and treats. Plus part of the sales go to local schools.
Great tosts, excellent coffee and service. Good just for yourself and also to bring in kids
I love this place I go there most afternoons to hang out with my friends and the food is really good.
It was awesome! I got the biggest jawbreaker ever. Bigger than my hand. Great for kids!
I went to this shop when it first opened back then . I still have great memories from there after school.
It’s super clean and fun for the kids. I love this Little oasis in the burbs!
Cute shop with amazing candy selection. Proceeds support Los Altos schools!
Such a great place! Proceeds go to local schools so it's an awesome way to give back
I never even knew this place existed until we randomly drove past the other day. They have some of the most tasty frosting cookies I've had in a long time. Definitely worth the drive for those. My sons got the ham and cheese croissants. They were beyond my expectations. Very nicely heated up and super buttery. I'll be going back again.
Very nice, authentic cafe. I'm glad that there are unsweetened options and good coffee. I wish that coffee and tea were offered in real cups rather than disposable/plastic/paper cups.
Small sweet shop with lots of choices. Staff are friendly and a nice atmosphere.
Pleasant little place tucked away in a Los Altos neighborhood. Best coffee ever? Quite possibly. (Verve.) We also tried the Cedeno chocolate bar from Twenty-Four Blackbirds, and it was excellent. They also have a selection of bulk candy for the kids, and proceeds go to local schools. Haven't tried their froyo, baked goods, or sandwiches.
Had one of the best mochas I've ever had. They use Verve coffee! The employees are super helpful and as sweet as the candy they sell. It's an adorable little shop.
It’s really good I love the root beer floats along with the candy bags. We’re really happy to have your shop inside the neighborhood!
A cute little sweet shop tucked away in a Los Altos neighborhood. If you've been to Cafe Zoe in Menlo Park, you'll love it here. The Sweet Shop has a wall of sweet bins, delicious paninis, and even frozen yogurt. You can sit in the cozy seating inside or out on the patio near the calming fountain. The best part - The Sweet Shop serves Verve Coffee.
My kids and I love the Sweet Shop! Everything is good: Frozen yogurt, croissant sandwiches, baked goods. Huge selection of treats and all of the profit goes to a good cause.
Very cute and friendly local spot. They have candy, coffee and lunch snacks. The best thing other than the friendly service is that the proceeds go to local schools. It really is a win win spot!!
I finally visited the sweet shop myself after kids raving about it for years! I get it now. Candy, ice cream, shady tables, and on the way home from schools. What could be better?!
Always my default hangout. I walk the bike path & relax at the Sweet Shop! Dog friendly. 🐾🐶
Favorite go-to weekend destination for kid bike rides. Not just a sweet shop. Sandwiches and smoothies are also pretty good.
Great service, friendly staff. Great little neighborhood nugget. The candy is always fresh with good seasonal selection. Dog and kid friendly in a nice outside seating area.
Everyone in the family loves going here for a snack. I especially like the egg & croissant sandwiches. The outdoor patio is a great place to relax.
Hidden Gem of Los Altos. Perfect place to have coffee in the quiet relaxed atmosphere. With seating indoor or outdoor.
So cute. I love that they hire high school kids and donate all profits to local schools. Coffee, tea, candy, froyo, and so much more!
It's yummy, it's good, it's in the neighborhood, it's delicious and sweet and can't be beat. It's has ice cream and candy and everything's dandy. When you need a pop, hop to the Sweet Shop!
Overpriced but what can you expect
Cute local neighborhood shop offering a variety of candy, froyo, coffee and snacks. A favorite for local school aged kids.
The Los Altos Sweet Shop has great coffee and frozen yogurt, has most sweets and is very cheap, very calm and fun.
A small coffee shop nested in a calm neighborhood. Good place to hangout and soak some sun.
I stopped by during one of my weekend bike rides. The sandwiches are warm and tasty. I had the Danielle. I also ordered the Chocolate Froyo with Strawberry toppings - it was quite refreshing. The staff is also very friendly - they filled out my water bottle and added ice to it. I would recommend.
My family loves the Sweet Shop. We always find plenty of sweet treats to buy, as well as root beer floats and a cup of coffee or two! 🍫🍬☕️
This charming little candy shop nestled in a Los Altos neighborhood are what treasured childhood memories are made of. It's easy to feel as you are a character in children's storybook tale when you are there. The candy and sweets keep the kids coming back. The espressos and cappuccinos will entice the adults to return just one more time, everytime.
Fun small shop with sweets, froyo, cold drinks, and more within biking distance from Palo Alto (there is a bike path that drops off right out front of the store). It is very easily accessible from street parking and a handicap spot as well. The froyo is surprisingly low cost for the area and a small is more than enough for one person. Other small candies are individually packaged as well. There is a location outside for dogs and a dog water bowl.
Our first onsite ice cream in three months under shelter in place orders! We are so glad to finally find a shop that is safe and has consistently positive reviews. The order/pickup window is clean and easy to maintain social distance outdoor. Great taste of frozen yogurt. A bonus to parents--espresso drinks! Considerably spacious outdoor area. Would definitely visit again.
A great lunch menu and assortment of candy. I particularly recommend the tomato soup (only $3.50 for a bowl), which is one of the best recipes I’ve tried.
Fantastic little shop with coffee, tea, candy, drinks, and frozen yogurt. Also serves sandwiches from 11am to 2pm. Very relaxing ambience with indoor and outdoor seating and sweet music. Great bike parking, limited car parking.
Came here on a whim and I really like how it's just smack dab in the middle of suburbs. They have a great variety of food and drink and the patio is calming to lounge at. Update 2024: Had a froyo here and the price for it is a solid deal while still being quite tasty 👍
Nice shop with candies, ice cream, and coffee tucked in a neighborhood. Has seats out front to relax
Best neighborhood shop. Great variety of candy, Italian sodas, frozen yogurt, soft serve and coffee drinks. Super friendly staff and great, warm vibe.
Very cute. Good frozen yogurt and lots of candy. Tables outside are nice

Very cute. Good frozen yogurt and lots of candy. Tables outside are nice
Cute little neighbourhood shop. Lots of options for sweet treats, local chocolates, frozen yogurt and expresso drinks!
It's best place and kids are crazy for it.
I've cycled past this place a zillion times without stopping, but this day our group decided to check it out. Fantastic. I had the most amazing root beer float in decades. I'm still floating.

Cute little shop for a stop in this residential Los Altos neighborhood.
Candy is good, fro yo is good as well, but they are not open on mondays.
great place for kids to get snacks and hangout.
Cute old timey shop tucked away in a residential area.
Pretty nice small shop.
Sweet Shop is located in a residential area and a great destination. It's small and filled with candy. You can get a sandwich and a root beer float. They serve frozen yogurt and other sweet treats. There is seating inside and out. The servers are very friendly. The only downfall is it's only open noon to 4pm.
I come here after school, and most people at my school do too. This candy shop has a wide selection of many different candies. Although the prices are a little too high. Overall I'd rate this candy shop as 4 stars out of 5.
Nice old fashioned sweet shop. In these far too health conscious days, a real treat. My daughter loves it.
The curb appeal is adorable. It reminds me of the cottage from Hansel and Gretel. Interesting because it’s in a residential neighborhood. I ordered a cappuccino and it was okay. Unfortunately, my kids felt the candy selection was pretty slim for a sweet shop. As a mother, I was kind of glad that they didn’t have a huge variety of sweets.
Cute little neighborhood shop. They serve some pretty good frozen yogurt and have a bunch of candy in store!

They have a great assortment of foods, candies and froyo flavors/toppings. The froyo is reasonably priced, especially for Los Altos, at only 4 dollars. I will say some of the other stuff like the candies are pretty expensive in comparison to other candies you’d buy elsewhere. But they have my favorite candies and they taste pretty good so I personally am willing to spend a bit extra for the extra good ones.
That photo for the place is from covid era. Does not make justice to the place. Very cozy indoor and outdoor. No need to wait for umbrellas anymore! :) Took one star off since they open late (11:30 am) on weekends. I prefer to have my cup of coffee earlier than 11:30 am. Othewise an excellent place! And amazingly tasty local chocolates (although cost like "an airplane wing" but worth every penny)
cute shop but not what it used to be now that all the candies are pre packed so you can’t really pick your own candy fully so it is pretty overpriced for what you get. the froyo and dip and dots are always good
A house of full of goodies.. literally. This place is tucked away in the residential neighborhood of Los Altos away from the main streets so it's perfect for a nice sweet escape. It's super adorable.. it's a cute little house! They have all sorts of candies, breakfast goodies, sweets, and drinks. I wanted to check it out just because I was curious and it was a perfect day for some fro-yo :) (if you check in, you get a free small fro-yo!) It's a magnet for kids because it's almost every kid's paradise to step into a house full of their favorite sugary goods and also because it's really close by to a school. I really liked their frozen yogurt. It was thick, rich, and creamy. I Also got a hazelnut latte and that was delightful as well. They are a little bit pricey but they donate 100% of their profit to local schools so your money is going to good things!

High prices, some of the candy is stale, not a good variety. More of an ice cream shop for kids in the neighborhood. Parking on the street. In a strange location.
This is a cute shop but the selection isn't very big. The prices also seemed pretty high.
The quaint patio attracted me as a place to take my wife for a date. We each ordered medium lattes with flavoring—caramel and Irish cream. Neither of us could taste the flavoring. On my telling staff, they kindly added more flavoring. I could barely taste it. Crasziest part: the faint flavor reminded me of something familiar... Got it! Pepperoni Pizza. I mentioned this to my wife and passed her my cup. She took a skeptical sip. Then her eyebrows shot up. She agreed and laughed. Very faint reminiscence of pizza. Bizarre. We left with laughing comments about how the lattes weren’t flavored—though they were pleasant. Bummer first experience!
Drink tastes very bad. Pure sweetness, no flavors at all.
