Our waiter’s name was Nick and he was amazing. Food was excellent!

Was in from out of town with a bunch of friend and we stopped here for brunch. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and how great the wait staff was. They also have bottomless mimosas until a certain time period which we closed it down lol. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

I went to The Post the other night and was thrilled to see they had added the fried chicken and waffle back on the evening menu. Holy Cow! Was it GOOD. They have tweaked the chicken recipe and it as flavorful as can be. Not only that but they added a delicious gravy on the side. Dang! Great food coupled with a friendly staff makes The Post a win/win. I’ll be back for more!

I want to open my review by saying I had the best French toast ever at The post. Was perfect in every way. Lightly charred, right amount of sweet, a light creamy touch with the creme brulee. I am drooling writing this! We also got the crispy chicken sandwich and loved it too. They come in 3 little sliders form, oh and we took the tator tots for the side and was such a deep fried goodness. We took the leftover tator tots home, reheated and had as a snack in the evening, was still so good. My finace loved the cocktail he had - bourbon sour. My drink was okay - the raspberry Nojito, could have done without it. The buffalo cauliflower was decent, but the sauces it came with was yumm though! Had a beautiful Sunday brunch date with my fiance at the outdoor seating of the Post. Will definitely come back again.

Great spot for school meet-up with parents and kids. Just had a high school gathering at The Post with about 20 people—everything was set up on time and run smoothly, the staff was super attentive. It wasn’t quiet enough for easy conversation with a group this size. Definitely recommend!

Came here last night. I had the blackened salmon and it was amazing. Staff was nice but at one point they pulled away our dessert menu to give to another party. When we ask if they only had one dessert menu she said yes. So didn't get to try it. A little disappointing after having a delicious main course.

First, I must say that I am shocked that the review score is not far higher. My dining expectations are high.....anyone who knows me, know that. Whilst I go in with a positive attitude every time, if a restaurant misses the mark, it's obvious. We have been to The Post MANY times. Many. That tells you a lot....we have various options downtown yet we go back over and over....year after year. A benefit...we can all find something/s on the menu we all enjoy. We each have our favs, of course. Mine are: ahi poke bowl (it sounds so good right this minute), the buffalo cauliflower (a mandatory must-get for the table), lemon shrimp risotto & santa fe salad. The Post burger is my children's favorite, they get it each time as to not risk it (you know how that is)! Consistent service and it has a fun vibe. Also, I like the band/s they have playing on First Friday of each month....they play songs I like and ones that people know & can sing along (only in my head :). The outdoor seating is a must do on nice days.

A pleasant surprise that there was Bingo ongoing while we there. Everyone participated. Food was ok. Margarita was good and the sunset drink was refreshing. Chicken quesadillas had a lot of meat and when hot sauce was added was tasty. Philly cheesesteak had lot of meat but not much of green peppers or cheese so was just ok. . Salmon soup was great with lots of salmon and hearty. Greens were also liked. Service was polite and fast.

Your standard progressive pseudo Californian "pub". Standard comfort food with a great selection of drinks and beer. Staff is friendly. Food is standard. Nothing special to be frank. Make sure you go here with good people and crew. The Post provides the drinks and food but most importantly, you don't have to focus on restaurant (as there's nothing to talk about) but rather the people you've come with. Absolutely necessary addition to Los Altos downtown and the place will continue to do well just because of the street traffic and the middle-of-the-line positioning. It's just not a destination and as you have your expectations set right, all's well.

We went for Saturday brunch and had reservations. We were seated right away. The French toast was absolutely amazing. Would go back just for that. Avocado toast was great and loaded too. I would say that the price I believed was on the higher side and possibly why I would give it one star less than 5. Although no concerns on the taste and the quality.

The cocktails were spot on! Every single one we tried was really good and the favorite was the Tamarindo Margarita! The food was decent enough. The Emanadas and cauliflower was nice, the sliders were the hit which was almost like a mini in-n-out. 👍

The setup: An hour walk at the nearby Dish in Palo Alto The location: The Post The menu: Every comfort food you can imagine Sunday Brunch I can only speak about our Sunday Brunch experience. Arrived at 11am and the outdoor tables filled up quick. The servers were attentive. There were only two people for nearly twenty covers, so I'm cool if I had to pour my own water. Just perfect and tasty all American food. It's not fancy and pretentious. This is your corner (literally) get together and enjoy each other's company kind of place. Come in your workout clothes, come in your work from home clothes, come as yourself. Just chill and enjoy the experience. Here are some pictures of food we ate. Tater Tots, Brussel Sprouts, Chicken and Waffles.

Update March '24 We had reservations and they had assigned an awful table in the backroom with view of kitchen and service station. It took a few times asking before they moved us to the main room. A bit disappointing. The calamari was still great. Carbonara was flavorful. Overall experience was fine. ---- We had reservations and were seated right away. Appreciated the outdoor seating. Service was fine, but was rushed - the servers were quite busy considering the tables they had to tend. We had to flag them back a few times since they would walk away before we were done with our request :-/ Jalapeño calamari was done well and had a good crispy coating (not soggy). I tried the Mac 'n cheese waffle which was surprisingly interesting and good. Mind you, I'm a fan of sunny side up eggs, but if you're not, the egg is definitely runny. Chicken was moist and flavorful. Also, recommended the spicy margarita. Not too spicy, just a small kick. Pretty good!

We came here for brunch. As you can probably see, portion size isn't great. The food was good but the prices are for better food. Eggs Benedict with sliced ham instead of Canadian bacon?! The side of bacon that was okay tasting making me leave some on the plate? The Brussel Sprouts weren't charred enough or sweet enough for a good flavor balance. And the corned beef hash with eggs "over hard" that someone took the time to "hard boil". Under cooked potatoes is also bad. Not all the potatoes were under cooked. But there was more than one chunk in the house potatoes. The coffee? Gas station coffee. When i look into the white cup and can see the sides through the coffee, I'm disappointed before i taste it. And no brown sugar? This place has the ability to be great but it's falling short. The creme brulee was very good but the bread was too small.

The atmosphere of this place is great, but the food was bland and the service was incredibly slow. Come here for the drinks, but don't bother with the food. I came for weekend brunch and the place was practically empty yet I barely got any service. The food I ordered looked okay, but tasted really bland. I got a croissant sandwich with fruit, but the "fruit" was all melons... for $25 you can find much better food across the street. .

Good sitting place and ambience. Kid friendly restaurant with separate sitting area for family and adults (near the bar). I was not happy with our food. Chicken was very dry and no flavor at all. Portion sizes were a bit smaller than other restaurants I've been going to for the price. I would not go again.

I’ve eaten lunch or dinner here about 6 times over the past couple of years and it’s always fine. It’s not great but it’s not bad. I’d compare it to a grill or pub, it’ll fill you up but lacks creativity. Plate presentation is mostly boring. I keep going back because it’s what coworkers agree upon due to having something for everyone. Service is usually spotty, but our lunch server this last trip was very attentive. It wasn’t busy so maybe the other times were not server issues but a staffing issue. I think that was my last trip there, there’s too many other choices down the street to not have one memorable experience here.

** this is in response to the restaurant's reply: Of course I talked to server about the bisque, and shared my feedback. You can ask her :-). Never did I mention the seating was "stupid". Please read reviews carefully. Given how dismissive you are about the feedback, I agree, this is place is not my vibe and we will not dine here again. Do better.*** Disappointing Mother’s Day brunch. I ordered the lobster and crab bisque, and as you can see in the video it was watery like a stock and had no chunks of lobster or crab. Very mediocre. The restaurant was quite empty when we came, and when we asked if we can have a booth they refused and made us sit on the high tables.

We've been here several times and never had an experience like this. Our server was really nice and good! This review is mainly for the food. The waffles were really good, I believe that it was called the Veggie Scramble. It was supposed to include asparagus and no bell peppers. When are server brought the food, the scramble didn't have any asparagus, and the chef put in bell peppers. We showed our server, and he agreed that it was wrong and he was told that they didn't have any asparagus. He took it back to show the chef. They remade our order, and when my wife started eating it, she saw asparagus in the dish. How did this happen, since we were told that they didn't have any. We showed our server, and he didn't know what to say. Shortly after we left, my wife started feeling sick. It must have been something in the food. We won't be coming back as there's other better choices to pick in Los Altos.

Deceptive 3% fee added to your bill. I'm tired of restaurants tacking on fees. Simply adjust menu prices to reflect your costs so that prices are up front with your customers. If the fee was removed, I would increase my score as the food is decent (although pricey), atmosphere is good with a nice patio area, and first Fridays have a good band playing outside.

We've been to The Post a few times and I do love to support our local restaurants. But I am not sure I will go back to The Post. We recently went for dinner and the food was not good at all. We got two pasta dishes and they were both bland and not restaurant quality at all. It really was substandard food, especially for the price. The service and staff were great though.
