Excellent food. we visited today for lunch buffet . There was a little wait time but staff (Raghu) were ready to help us. Chicken Biryani was awesome. It was upto to the mark and the menu is huge, from veg to non veg and dessert. Would def recommend to visit. Loved the hot dosa being served. Staff is really good and fast filling Wonderful service. We will visit again👍
Some of my favorite Indian food I’ve ever tried! Got take out and was so floored by how good it was! I got the Vegetable Korma (comes w rice) and Garlic Naan with the Gulab Jamun for dessert. It was spicy, but it was perfect if you can handle medium spice. I could still taste the flavors really well. And the dessert was out of control. I will be back. Also, there was a mixup with an item in my order and when I called they remedied the situation very quickly letting me keep the extra dish. Really great customer service.
This is really an Indian (Vegetarian) flavor town USA!!! The food is amazing and it looks like a family own and run business. Service is quick and friendly with parking available. The ambiance is very casual and lots of noise from kitchen (love it!). It's like they get to work on your order as you put in the order. I highly recommend the Sambar Vada (lentil donut drowned in dal(Sambar)). We also tried Andrah Dosa (spicy and real good) AND pavbhaji dosa (highly recommend also!). I will be here again and recommend anyone looking for vegetarian food to come try this spot! Come hungry!
Carryout experience has been delightful. We bought food for a few days and are enjoying every bite; each meal is distinctive in flavor, rice is fluffy, and the breads are a super standout- big and flavorful.
We had a delicious meal and absolutely loved the experience! We tried Bisi Bele Bath, Chana Bature, Ghee Roast, Curd Rice, and Sambar Vada each dish was flavorful, authentic, and perfectly spiced. The Bisi Bele Bath was comfort in a bowl, the Chana Bature was rich and satisfying, and the Ghee Roast was incredibly crispy and aromatic. The Curd Rice is the perfect finish to a wholesome South Indian meal.
High quality clean vegetaría Indian food. Some of the best chai and chole bhatura in SoCal, hands down They usually run out of chai everyday 1-2 hours before they close. So get it quick lol The bhindi is ok but literally everything else is OUTSTANDING. Chole bhatura are my go to, and it ALWAYS hits the spot Paneer and masala dosas are solid, can’t go wrong Rasmalai usually great Service is good but because they’re always so slammed, opportunity for improvement One of the best vegetarian South Indian restaurants in LA!

Personally my favourite brunch spot in LA, with great south indian food. Tastes authentic, with friendly staff. Try their sambhar idli, masala chai or any of the dosas!

This modest eatery turned out to be just AMAZING! We have eaten at maybe hundreds of South Indian restaurants in and across India and abroad, and can honestly say this food was incredibly authenti…
I visited this restaurant today on the 5th July 2024 for Lunch. Our family tried idly Vada, sambar dipped idly, masala dosa, coffee and mango lassi. Sambar was outstanding in taste. It was perfect with the right consistency added with brinjal, drumstick and carrot. So the dipped version of idly was the best. Then comes their mango lassi and masala dosa in the order of taste No meal is served here. Hotel was busy and PPL were waiting. Demand for dosa was more and we had to wait. Coffee is not a filtered one. It's from instant powder. The restaurant does delivery also.
The food quality is good, but the service was terrible. We ordered an item, and it didn’t arrive until we were almost finished our dinner. We went on a weekend, so I’m not sure if it was a weekend issue, but regardless, service should be improved. It’s worth the money, though.
The food and service were both excellent. The menu is all vegetarian. We ordered dosas, which were a bit oily but still tasty. The kothu paratha was very authentic and had just the right level of spice as we requested. However, the restaurant felt quite cramped with too many tables. Removing the unused buffet area would help declutter the space and make it more comfortable for diners.
Excellent flavors, Dosa was great, the selection was good as well. Some items were not offered but were on the menu. We had a family of 11 that were able to sit but space felt cramped. Food took longer than expected but wait-staff were professional and friendly to keep us updated. Only reason this was a 4 v 5. Food was amazing, no complaints at all.
After exploring the major spots in LA, we decided to satisfy our hunger with dinner at Annapurna Cuisine, a pure vegetarian restaurant. Here’s a detailed review of our dining experience: #### Parking and Ambience One of the best parts about Annapurna Cuisine is the free parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. The restaurant has a typical, authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant vibe. With both booth and normal seating areas, the place was bustling when we arrived, indicating its popularity. #### Our Order We ordered a variety of dishes: Hot Chilli Bhaji, Veg Hakka Noodles, Medhu Vada, and Rasmalai. - **Hot Chilli Bhaji**: Surprisingly, the bhaji wasn't too spicy, making it a great option for everyone to try. - **Veg Hakka Noodles**: This dish stole the show. The noodles were exceptionally delicious, enough for two people, and we devoured them quickly. - **Medhu Vada**: If you are a fan of dosas, you should definitely try them here—they are huge and flavorful. Be sure to ask for your preferred spice level. - **Rasmalai**: The dessert was a perfect end to our meal, satisfying our sweet cravings. #### Service and Overall Experience The service was prompt, and all the items came out well-prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the variety of options available. #### Conclusion For pure vegetarians, Annapurna Cuisine is a must-visit. The dishes are tasty, and the overall dining experience is delightful. If we had another day in LA, we would definitely visit again to try more items from their extensive menu. Vegetarian people should give it a shot for sure. You will love it!

The food and servers are great. ambiance is a little lacking. The best chai I've had in SoCal.
Some dishes are better than others. But overall nice. The Dosas are delicious. Service is ok , parking can be tricky.

Came in for dinner. It’s a cozy restaurant. When we came in there was wait and we could see that they were overwhelmed with people and orders. Food was ok to taste. Dosas were good. Sambar left a lot to be desired . Was very difficult to grab attention of the people working and requests were repeatedly not honored, understandably due to the busy time. They could do better with the quantities of Sambar. For the size of dosa, sambar was minuscule in quantity.
We stopped by Annapurna Restaurant for a quick dinner while on our way to San Francisco. Due to the Christmas holidays, the place was quite busy. The food overall was average. We ordered dosas, which were slightly overcooked, and the paneer filling was minimal, with flavors dominated by onions and tomatoes. The Mysore masala dosa has big pieces of aloo in it! Curry in it was not properly made. The masala chai was not up to the mark, as it was heavily dominated by ginger. The chole bhatura was average, and the chole itself didn’t stand out. The overall experience felt similar to a typical busy tiffin center you might find near popular street pilgrimage places in India. The restaurant mentions it has been around for about 17 years, and while that shows longevity, the authenticity and consistency could be better maintained to match its long-standing presence.
We are visiting for holidays city LA from Austin TX, and eating Indian restaurant food four days continue and looking for vegetarian food so many people told me this restaurant name and food is ok. we got bad experience due to food quality and customer service support, I have been in this Indian food industry more than 30 years service and big volunteer in temple and Indian non profit organizations as well and still continuing my self, I don't see good South Indian food quality I would say 3.5 rating barely and once we order food for my family, Andhra spicy masala dosa and other orders for family I heard funny voices I can complete understand thier languages (I recorded in my mind) from kitchen, talking making fun on customers orders that's not right ?!?! not funny, I think Annapurna cuisine people looking for customers like them certain region people only, that's not good, I have high respect all Indian experienced chefs Indian restaurant owners and I am doing same business but I never disrespect anyone in my life Atthidhi Devo Bhava disappeared if you disrespect customers, even if you doing restaurant business, I hope Annapurna cuisine people take care this issues very seriously if they want good customers and business further future. If they don't take care this issues I don't recommend anyone in my big circle friends always visit LA, jobs trips or business trips people from Austin TX.
Not bad, definitely above average, but I’m not rushing back. The best thing I got was the bread that came with the Channa Masala. It was super light, buttery, kind of sweet and the bottom was crispy which provided it a great bit of texture. The Masala itself was good but it tasted exactly like the Hyderabad Baingan ka Bartha. I will say, both dishes were packed with flavor, it just happened to be the same one. The dosa is impressively large, but is a useless vessel for the dips it comes with. 80% of it is too thin and crispy, think the burnt end of a pancake, to actually carry or complement the dips. It is fun to eat through because it is so large and the bottom is a bit thicker so it can pick up some sauce, but other than that, it’s unremarkable. The Gualb Jamun for dessert tasted like a soggy donut hole. It was fine but I would it order it again. While Annapurna Cuisine is serving up very authentic Indian food, it isn’t close tot he best I’ve had.
Too Salty. Poor service and long wait time for even simple orders like Dosa. HAKKA Noodles was bitter, and when we asked to take it back, management argued that I should have told them after eating one spoonful. My daughter's favorite is noodles; she took time to understand and say the problem. She's a small kid. How can they expect customers to report the problem immediately? I would not recommend. There are great hotels.
The food was good and flavorful but we are utterly disappointed by the service. This was our second visit and we traveled more than 90 miles since we enjoyed the food the first time. Though our waiter repeated all our orders, one dish and the tea we had requested right away was never served until we reminded the waiter an hour later!! At which point we were told “there is no more tea”. No apologies. Just a careless attitude which should be avoided in the hospitality industry. When the paneer masala finally arrived it seemed like they had hurriedly just added the paneer right then to a pre-made gravy!! From reading the reviews it appears the “Team Annapurna” responds mostly to just the appreciative comments. Hope this review will serve as a constructive criticism to the Team; a gentle reminder to the staff that smiles and courteous behavior really amplify the overall dining experience in a restaurant.
