Delicious southeast fusion Asian style food boxes. Great variety of boxes to pick from. My box had chicken, sprouts, rice, cucumber, peanut sauce, and other toppings. The Vietnamese iced coffee is excellent especially for the price. The food options are well priced and very affordable. Seating is ample and there are take out options if you're in a hurry. Staff and gracious and professional. Excellent place to grab quick great food on Castro street.

If you’re looking for a quick bite, try Asian Box. I’ve tried the chicken & veggie green curry and The Workout boxes so far and have loved the flavors. My mom is vegetarian, so I build a box for her with items she can eat. I love that they have a peanut sauce that she can have. We’ve found the boxes to be a really good deal for the price ($12 after tax) and how much food you get. The place is perfect for a quick meal outside or to take home and eat. They have some tables outside right now as Castro St is still closed to cars.

Amazing, delicious and tasty healthy food for a decent price and outstanding service! I was offered the same meal for free due to a small misunderstanding which could be easily fixed but the manager, I suppose, told me he wants the best for his customers and insisted to prepare a complete new meal, and, moreover, to take the former box back home with me. Such attentive customer service is rarely observed, especially in this area, and I would/will highly recommend this place!

One of my go-to places to eat in downtown mountain view. A little expensive but the servings are more than enough. Great flavors, I especially love the peanut sauce and the crispy shallots. Lines can get long but the service is generally very fast. Overall I definitely recommend.

This place is amazing. Really fresh and tasty food, with tons of options for customization. Love to mix the rice noodles with tofu curry and peanut sauce. Very efficiently run. Their limeade is also very nice. A favorite for a quick bite or take out.

This is such a great place to stop in for lunch. The meals are very different to ordinary American food but it tastes so fresh and flavorful. The menu is great because it gives you the options to customize everything yourself. You can still go for a pre-made meal if you want to go for something that is already known to taste well together. I recommend the ox box! The pricing is great especially when you consider that everything is prepared in house. This makes for a healthy meal for the health conscious and something different and delicious for everyone.

Asian Box offers very tasty food in a casual setting. The food is the build your own bowl type, with choices for protein and sides and sauce. I tried the Jasmin rice with curry tofu and peanut sauce and pickled veggies. The bowl comes with a side of steamed vegetables. With a can of soda it came to around $12.50. Everything tasted really good and I was full. They have good selections of sauces and sides. The protein is beef, chicken, pork and tofu. This is a great restaurant for a quick bite.

Tasty, fast, healthy - what's not to like? This is one of my regular weekly stops for a quick lunch or dinner. I order the garden box (tofu on a rice base) or the equivalent salad box. There's also a noodle base option. As someone who eats 100% plant-based, it's great to have a healthy & tasty vegan option like Asian Box.

A "build-your-own" meal type of place, Asian box allows lets you choose from a variety of bases (rice, salad, etc.), meats (chicken, pork, ...), toppings, and sauces to create a custom fit meal. Service is pretty speedy and the ingredients seem to be of high quality. The restaurant also champions the whole sustainability philosophy, using lots of recycled and recyclable materials. It's nothing fancy, but very solid "street fare" type food at a fair price. In terms of portion size, they feel just right to me, though some may find their meal to be on the lighter side. There's a good amount of seating indoors and out, though spots outside do tend to fill up quickly on nice California days.

It was a pleasant surprise finding a completely gluten free Asian restaurant. I haven't had a banh mi in years, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The gluten free bread they use was really tasty, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, almost like a baguette. The fillings were good, and they are accommodating when it comes to (other) allergies (egg in my case).

I live Asian Box. LOVE them! But I find some of the locations cut the meat pieces too large. In fact I should review the Burlingame location because I would order from there. The meat pieces are too big and need to be cut first if you don’t want to choke. Anyway this Mountain View location the pieces of pork were small and perfect. Also there was no gristle or fat which I find often at Burlingame. So FYI not all Asian Boxes are the same but this one is a 5 star location in my book! 😊

Pretty good place for a quick meal. I always get the rice noodles with beef and tamarind sauce. It never disappoints.

This is a place I sometimes come to pick up lunch. I'd give it 4.5 stars overall, but since google only lets me do full-star increments, I'm grading it 4 stars for now. The food is very consistent, but almost to a fault because it almost feels like a robot prepared it, despite clearly seeing actual people on the food prep line. It's a little dissettling, for some reason. My favorite menu item for now is chicken curry. If I find something else that I like better, I may update this to 5 stars.

Always a pretty good place to eat for people with Celiac Disease. It's a healthy, fast food, rice box/bowl place. 100% gluten-free, without risk of cross contamination. It's a great place for vegetarians, too, but they do have meet products that they serve. They handle shellfish here too. They have multiple rices to choose from, plenty of protein options and plenty of toppings and sauces. There's indoor and outdoor seating, bottled beer and other drinks as well as Thai iced coffee. They have trash, compost and recycling separation as well. They recently added a few televisions and now play popular sporting events. I think you'll be able to watch the 2018 World Cup, there. The quality of the food is decent, but not excellent. I am willing to take a hit on the food quality to eat at a place with no risk of gluten contamination, though, especially a place like this that is so environmentally conscious.

This was an inexpensive place to grab dinner or lunch along a nice strip of restaurants. The cashier was very friendly and the food came out quickly. It is nice to build a bowl with your own toppings and meat, and they have some delicious sauces. The food was good and I'd recommend it for someone looking for a quick bite.

Lovely choices whether you build your own box meal or go with one of their presets. Yum! We like the tables long enough to share with friendly strangers and the little just-us-two spots as well. Good for takeout, only one star missing cos it's kind of loud in there.

The bread and the meat were warm and surprisingly tasty! (It tastes better than it looks). It is next to the station and they brought my food very fast. I recommend.

I really enjoyed the selection of box specials that they have on the menu, the quality of the ingredients, and the speed of the service. You can of course customize your own meal but I like how they put their specials together. You order at the counter (no Apple pay yet unfortunately) and from there there's open seating indoor and outdoor. They have a great selection of sauces and seasonings that you can add to your bowl, but I would recommend you're careful with the hot sauce cause it's actually pretty hot. I normally like a good bit of spice and I can deal with a good amount of spice and this was a little over my threshold so I had to pace myself through the meal. But great place! I would definitely recommend a visit.

Ordered The Ox Box, and the meat was way too tough. They were very generous with the meat portions, I just wish that it were a bit more chewable with more variety of other vegetables (not just a ton of meat). The sauce was really good though -- tasty and not too spicy. The spring rolls came with a lot of fresh vegetables, which was great for aesthetics, but we didn't actually eat any of it. Don't know if I would return.

My family and I really enjoy Asian box. However today was not the best experience. We ordered online through the website and ordered pickup at this location. When we were given our food I checked the food items and each item was wrong. We ordered tofu spring rolls and were given shrimp spring rolls. My box was extra protein but there wasn’t extra protein. My brothers box said no jalapeños and there was. I brought this the girls attention and she corrected the mistakes. Gave me the tofu spring rolls and scrapped off most of the jalapeños ( I scrapped off the rest at home) and gave us a cookie as a sorry. The did correct the mistakes and were very polite. I just don’t understand how so many were made. It wasn’t busy when we got there however I know they might have had online orders. When we got home my mom realized that the workout box she ordered had chilled rice noodles instead brown rice that’s supposed to come in the meal. I could have gone back to correct it but at this point I was tired and slightly annoyed. Even though there were mistakes done the food was tasty and the staff were kind. I just wish there wasn’t so many mistakes that were made that I had to find. My experience isn’t usually like this which is why I left 3 stars vs 2. I have pictures of the receipt if anyone contacts me for proof. The food we ate it before I got picture’s because we were hungry and I didn’t really think about it. But I’m sure you could see the store cameras of me going up a couple times with the mistakes to be fixed.

Boba tasted terrible. Banh mi tasted bad. Charge extra as operating overhead. I have been to restaurants all over the world. None charge for operating overhead. Shady business practice.

I called to place an order of Chicken Curry for pickup. When I arrived, they were confused and didn't know where my food was. I had to show proof that I called the restaurant, so I got the restaurants business card they had up front and showed them the number I called that matches the number I had called. Once I received my food and was able to eat it, it had a very sour smell to the chicken. Now i'm not afraid of sour food, but this was a bad quality food type of sour. As if it were spoiled.

i order the workout and add shrimp on it, but the store only gives me the shrimp, no chicken in it

I am a delivery driver that only has a few minutes between order pickup and delivery to use the restroom. Most restaurants are ok with me using their restrooms but some like this place refuse drivers saying it is for customers only. If I delivering for your customers then I have the right to use their restroom. Please change this policy because drivers can’t make multiple stops to just use the restrooms.
