Very nice staff, especially the cashier manager. Koobideh is not good enough; Barg was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and reminds me of some places in Tehran. It's famous for sandwiches.
Attari Sandwich Shop had the best Persian food I've ever had. It was so fresh and delicious, I would not go anywhere else for Persian food. 10000/10. From the moment I walked in, I could tell everything was made with care. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the bread was perfectly baked, and every bite was packed with authentic flavor. The quality completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was also so welcoming and kind, which made the whole experience even better. It felt like being served a home-cooked meal rather than just grabbing food at a shop. If you're craving real, flavorful Persian sandwiches and dishes, this is the place. I'll absolutely be coming back again and again!
Authentic, fresh, beautiful Persian food. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon felt like being transported to another world! Incredible hummus and iced tea. We got the Attari sandwich and the ghormeh sabzi for main dishes and they were both so good! I didn’t want to leave, it was so peaceful.
I stumbled upon this sandwich shop in the neighborhood, and it’s truly a gem. The space is small but cozy, with a cute little outdoor area that’s perfect for enjoying lunch. No wonder it’s packed during lunchtime — the sandwiches are that good. I accidentally missed that my sandwich came with pickles on the menu, and when I asked about it, they went above and beyond. They replaced my sandwich for free, no questions asked, and were so kind about it. On top of that, since it was our first visit, they even surprised us with complimentary soup. The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the warm, welcoming service. It’s rare these days to find a place that treats first-time customers like regulars. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area — I’ll be back for sure!
Great Persian sandwiches. And historic grounds. Very authentic and original. Some changes over the years and a bit pricey but worth it. The experience alone. My uncle says it’s the best sandwich in the world and he’s a big guy, so I guess he knows.
Our only experience of Iranian food in LA. Enjoyed a lot Good food and customer service. Liked the vibe as well Definitely there is room for improvement. Food can be made a bit better, balanced of flavour is missing. The internal decoration also doesn’t represent a Persian restaurant, some attention is needed here as well. But our over experience was good Recommend this place
We adore this little oasis. The food is super fresh and authentic. The people who work here are all nice and friendly. Around lunch hours the patio could be very busy and noisy, as well as the lining up is a bit chaotic. But the tasty foods are all worth getting through. This is the place where you would visit regularly once you eat stuff here.
Nestled in Westwood, this Persian sandwich shop artfully captures nostalgia with its authentic flavors. Each bite carries the essence of traditional Persian cuisine, providing a nostalgic escape. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the experience, making it a delightful haven for those seeking a taste of Iran’s culinary heritage in Westwood. Highly recommended item on the menu: Ash (Attari’s special soup)!!
What a beautiful little gem. This is when you realize how affective the word of mouth can be. This little gem of a restaurant is not so noticeable driving by, because the front of it is a small patio with water feature and the restaurant itself is tucked away. But they’ve created an inviting atmosphere with the space. Their sandwiches are absolutely the best Persian sandwiches you’ve ever tasted. We loved everything. So proud of the owner(s), for their success.
Our friend recommended this place and we really enjoyed our food and time there. They have a nice sitting area outside, minor issue is on a slight slope and my plate was sliding towards my wife. We had soltani barg and coubideh with rice, another barg plate with rice, a salad and a pitcher of dough which was so refreshing. The food was awesome, the soltani has more meet so if you’re more hungry go for it.
Ngl I expected a lot more from the Kalle Pache but it was nowhere near my expectation. The flavor was not infused into the meat and pache it was very weird my Kalle Pache was just 2 or 3 Pache and almost no banagoosht at all. And no amount of salt or lemon redeemed it. But but the atmosphere was great.
Attari Sandwich serves delicious and well-made sandwiches with great flavors and fresh ingredients. The quality of the food definitely stands out, making it a solid choice for a quick bite. However, the seating situation is a bit lacking—there’s limited space, and it can feel cramped during busy hours. If you don’t mind that, it’s definitely worth a visit for a tasty and satisfying meal!
If you are looking for some of the most authentic Persian food in the city, Attari Sandwich Shop (Attari Restaurant) is a must-visit. The flavors here are consistently excellent and hit the spot every time. The Highlights: The Food: This is the star of the show. Their Ab-Goosht (Dizi) is hearty and rich, and the Kuku Sabzi sandwich is fresh and flavorful. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes. The Vibe: It has a very charming, old-school feel that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a hidden gem in Tehran. Room for Improvement: The Dining Area: While the food is 5-star quality, the dining area could definitely use an upgrade. It’s a bit cramped and feels a little dated. If you’re looking for a fancy "date night" ambiance, this might not be it. It’s much better suited for a casual lunch or a quick bite. Overall: I keep coming back for the food because it’s just that good. If they refreshed the seating area to be a bit more comfortable and modern, it would easily be a 5-star experience.
A great little sandwich shop and deli for some old-school authentic Persian sandwiches. Everything is very fresh and the service is excellent. We had the Attari sandwich, the tongue sandwich, the Koobideh, and the Kuku sabzi. Everything was pretty good. The standout is the tongue sandwich. The kuku sabzi is good, but needs more seasoning, especially salt. The Koobideh was also pretty good.
I had the worst Bandari sandwich of my life!!! I can’t talk about other foods. But this sandwich’s taste was so bad . It was basically soft stew like potato with sausages and barely could just eat half of the sandwich and didn’t eat the other half. My kind suggestion is to eliminate this sandwich from your menu . Because you don’t know the recipe and you don’t know how to make it.
I ordered food and when I asked how much it takes for the food to be ready, owner told me about 30 to 40 minutes. It took 50 minutes for to reach to our table. If I knew it would take that long I would not stayed. Never go back there.
I was really looking forward to trying the Persian kebab, koubeideh. but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The meat was quite dry, and the saltiness overpowered any other flavors. While I can see the potential in the dish, it just missed the mark for me. With a bit more moisture and better balance in seasoning, it could be much better!
A complete disgrace to Persian cuisine. The quality is nonexistent, and it’s a total waste of your time, health, and money. If you want to witness exactly how a business sacrifices quality for sales volume, then by all means, throw your money away and experience this disaster firsthand. Highly disappointed.
Aash-reshte was full of beans, some of the beans were not cooked well; there were no noodles (no reshte). Wasn't very flavorful. Kubideh kabob wrap was OK. Friendly service. It was too expensive for what we received. I left feeling very disappointed.
