Great place for breakfast/brunch. Delicious food and refreshing drinks! California omelette was amazing as well as the guava mimosa. We also had crispy french toast with fresh fruit, cant go wrong! Would definitely recommend stopping by when in DTLA!! Its located inside the plaza.
Amazing cafe. The general manager Sarah, is so friendly and warm. Shout out to her!! She also let us try their amazing brick toast!!! Crunchy yet soft, full of flavor and paired perfectly with the vanilla sauce. Seriously, I was speechless afterward. The savory breakfast was everything I wanted, the Salmon hash with eggs Benedict and flavorful potatoes. Carbonara looked so pretty and elegant! And what a great cup of coffee to start the day. Atmosphere was gorgeous; they are situated in a beautiful building with amazing lighting. If you have never been here, come! Come and try their brick toast!!! That's all I can say.
What a great brunch! Simply walk down through the breezeway and Blue Jam Cafe is about in the middle. Our server sat us very quickly outside with our mini poodle and we were shown the qr code and were able to order everything on our phones and pay as well. I got the eggs benedict and added a little habanero sauce for a little kick and it was perfect. My friend got the steak hash and loved it. The portions are GENEROUS and the mimosas were nice too. Loved it, would definitely return.
Run don't walk to get yourself a table because WOW. It was my first time coming when I had family out to visit and it is easy to say no one was disappointed. This quaint, hidden gem of a cafe is down a beautiful little alleyway with strings of lights dancing back and forth all the way down, with a number of little cafes and shops I am so glad this was the one we chose! Its a peaceful little rest from the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown. Service was helpful and fast, and the water they bring with refreshing mint was a perfect cool off on a warm day. We had a good opportunity to have a chat with who I believe was the owner-who was incredibly warm and welcoming and a joy to chat with! I tried the Shakshuka which is something I had never tried before and it did not disappoint! I will absolutely be running back myself as quickly as possible!
Bulmaro was an incredible waiter super attentive, friendly, and just so genuinely kind. I haven’t had service this thoughtful in such a long time! He truly made our dining experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for him if you visit!
Blu jam is a chain of restaurants in LA area. My husband and I were in downtown area and we thought we should give this place a try. I got added to waitlist through yelp. They were nice enough to give us a spot as soon as we arrived even though we were running late. We order huevos rancheros and morning hash. Flavorful and delicious breakfast. I will surely go back there for rancheros! ♥️🥰😍
Great food and beverages! It was easy to order and pay through online which is a great option. No waiting around trying to get a waiters attention to order or for the bill👍🏽 we had the churro French toast, Florentine Benedict (soft poached eggs), Dirty Green Matcha Latte, Breakfast Pasta, strawberry lemonade and California omelette
The food and service at Blu Jam are well worth both the wait and the fact that it gets pretty hot inside the Spring Arcade Building. The menu is eclectic and innovative. Prices are reasonable. The mimosas and french toast are a must try! Will add this to the Sunday brunch rotation for sure!
Such a cute hidden café! As much as there were pigeons flying around the interior hallways around the café, it didn't distract from the beautiful views of architecture and the delicious food on top of the quality service received.
The food was great! Despite getting a hair in our food which happens, but also 2 small stones in my potatoes that almost broke my fillings ... We received 33% off for the hair. But that aside, the food was delicious! The service was great too! The only reason why I mention the little pebbles and hair is in case you had a similar experience then you know is on going but if you you don't then it most likely was a one time mishap. Anyways go try it out for your self! The food really does taste great! And their coffee is amazing as well.
I was simply pleased, it is one of my favorite brunch places. Although it was my 1st time visiting this location, I was very delighted with everything about it. Great service, prices are average, and their FrenchToast just right. It's definitely a plane to revisit despite ALL the competition walking distance. You just can't replace Delightful with good. 📓✍️
Tasty breakfast and lunch spot situated in the Spring Arcade Building. Dog and kid friendly. To place an order, scan the QR code on the table or walk up to the order counter. My BLTA came on a hot plate, had a nice crunch to the rustic sourdough bread, was loaded with avocado and had the perfect amount of bacon, butter lettuce and tomato. They use a chipotle aioli over your classic Mayo, makes the sandwich feel Californian. We tried the menu hit - their crunchy French toast. Such a fun twist!! They dip their toast in cornflakes and grill it. Served with a vanilla sauce and plenty of fresh berries + powdered sugar. If you crave classic french toast, this may not do the trick. It’s a personal preference and worth trying. Super nice staff members, inviting atmosphere that made me feel like I was in a different place than L.A
Came to Downtown LA and tried to find a place for a brunch. The Blu Jam Cafe is a great place that you can stop by for great food. Cold water was served with mint and lemon. The egg Benedict was great too! Most importantly, I didn't expect to have a Hello-Kitty on my Chai ❤️ 📍Blu Jam Benedict ($18.95) 📍Iced Chai ($5.95) Total (incl tax) : $27.27 Wasn't too crowded when I visited at 11:30 and the staff was super fun and friendly. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.
This place is awesome, as with any place in LA, parking is atrocious but a cheap parking lot is located extremely close By on the Main Street. This restaurant is located inside of another building with other food establishments but don’t be fooled, this is the place you want to go. The food and coffee were amazing. Don’t sleep on the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict, it was awesome, and the small roaster potato’s were so perfectly crispy I wish I could go back for more. My friend got a pumpkin spice Latte and I got a sea salt caramel latte and honestly I wish I could have tried every single latte they had.
Stopped in for a quick brunch with a friend. Both of us enjoyed our food, I had the salmon hash. It was delicious and a very big portion.
100% Delicious! First time here from NYC & I was impressed. We had the Florentine Benedict, eggs with the brioche bun, create own omelette, strawberry lemonade and chai tea latte which were amazing! However the winner is the crunchy French toast with the vanilla bean sauce!! 10/10!! There are no servers who take your order. You order from your phone. Which is COVID friendly. The restroom is on the second floor. If you’re in the area do visit!!!!
Everything was phenomenal!!! Staff was always attentive and listening so that the second you even mention to the other person that you might need something they are right there to serve you. The food was delicious and there were plenty of healthy options. I will say the breakfast potato cubes were a little too salty, but the burger totally made up for that. The aesthetic was super cute and classy and the bathroom is guard permit only so it's very safe and clean.
When I say a mountain of food, I mean piled high! I couldn't finish it all. I had a craving for Huevos Rancheros found this place randomly - it did not disappoint! It's located in a small little covered gallery mall. Staff are adorable! It was very quiet (Wed afternoon) when I came so I'm sure the atmosphere is much busier at the weekend or you know for ACTUAL breakfast time but I didn't find anything negative so it's still 5 stars. Prices are fairly reasonable for LA especially for what you get. I've already recommended the place to local friends.
Visiting from the East Coast and searched for a breakfast spot. With the posts of the food and positive reviews, Blu Jam Cafe was the best choice. It is near plenty of parking, including valet. It was pretty busy. There is outside seating as well as inside. The set-up includes tables to accommodate different size parties. There is a podium at the entrance to be seated. We waited a few minutes before being seated. There is no wait staff, so you scan QR code to submit food order. We had about a 20 minute wait for the food, which was not bad considering what we ordered. While eating, a line of about 15 people started to form. Everything we ordered was delicious. The crunchy French toast was commonly ordered. It didn't disappoint. It was served with a creamy vanilla sauce, and paired well with the fruit topping. The Lox scramble was the best I had ever had. I chose mixed greens over potatoes, since I was also eating French toast. The Florentine was delicious as well as the side of fruit. It was cold, sweet, and fresh. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. I'd definitely recommend and come back when in the area again.
Great place for brunch in DTLA. Friendly staff. You can order via a QR code, may be faster with limited staff but they are quick. Their French toast is yummy! I had the eggwich, really can’t go wrong with any plate.
Great atmosphere, option to order with QR menu fully loaded with pictures or with a server inside. Most of the seating is an indoor/outdoor combination (outside with a large roof). They have fire heaters to keep the area warm. Menu was decently priced for the area with big portions. Would not necessarily recommend their iced coffees, but their hot cappuccino was quite good. The food we had was delicious! About $18 per plate for most options, but portions are large (as pictured). Water had fresh mint leaves in it, which was a neat touch.
Nice and Cute Brunch Spot - You can place order thru your phone or also get a server to help you! Highly recommended the Florentine Eggs Benedict and Lavender Latte.
Delicious food, large portions, friendly staff, and a fantastic ambiance! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
The food was good! Excellent customer services, the waitress was really friendly. What I like about this place is that you order your food online whenever you’re ready! You don’t waste your time or the waitress’. I'm really indecisive when ordering food so this system did help me out.
The food & service was amazing, the kitchen staff is the sweetest! cannot recommend enough!
This brunch restaurant is located at the plaza of the Spring Arcade Building. If your visit time is peak hour, you may have to wait in the queue for 30+ minutes, but I will say it’s totally worth it! We ordered French Toast, Carbonara, and Benedict. All of them are fantastic! Fresh toast comes with cherries and two kind of sauces. The taste of sauces really makes me feel that I am in paradise! With the sourness and sweetness of the cherries, it’s so lovely! The Benedict is also amazing! The yolk is fresh, and after you poke it with a folk then let the yolk be evenly distributed above the baked potatoes and salmon; I am sure you will love it!
I come frequently to this place for their crispy French toast and their blu jam sauce. The consistency of the food is why I come back. I also get the build my own open face omelet. Great proportions and the establishment is well ran.

You can order via QR code at your table or at the front counter. No waiter. Interesting menu with a variety of breakfast plates. I tried the Rancheros plate today. Perfect over easy eggs on a crispy corn tortilla with cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, sour cream and tiny, crispy, delicious potato squares. Generous portions. I couldn't finish my plate. Oh and my latte was beautiful! Service was the friendliest!
First time eating here and I had a good experience. This spot only takes card or electronic payment. You can order via their app or at the register. I had the lox hash and my husband had the breakfast egg hash. The portions were pretty big! Good enough for someone with a big appetite or to share.
A great brunch place with really good food. It’s not 5 stars because the food, while really good, does not stand out in a city and an area full of amazing brunch places. It’s also relatively pricey but their portion sizes are good. I had the salmon hash and even though I came in hungry I left with a full stomach. Service was fast and pleasant too.
It is a cute little cafe that allows dogs. I usually get different types of benedict here and the french toast churros. I have tried the crunch french toast and it was not good at all. The strawberries were soggy and gross. With french toast churros you never have to guess if the fruits are gonna be fresh today. The quality of fresh food here I think depends on the day you go to. Sometimes they are good, sometimes they’re not. Like the fruit on the french toast, if you choose salad as your side, they might be fresh they might not be. Also there are so many flies in the area. However, despite all this, food is pretty decent. The servers sometimes are nice sometimes are aggressive depends. There is a paid parking garage across the street which is convenient.
My friend and I were looking for a breakfast spot close to the Last Bookstore and this place hit the spot! We went on a Saturday Morning and the wait wasn't too long. We got the breakfast burrito, breakfast burger, crunchy French toast (to share) and a French press coffee. The savory entrees were delicious but the star of the show was the crunchy French toast. I usually don't like sugary breakfasts, but this French toast was very good. Additionally, they have a special house hot sauce that was super good!
The food was good. My problem was it wasn't hot, only warm. The potatoes were not crispy as advertised. The portions were plenty for me. I loved that I could eat outside of the cafe.
The food was pretty damn good! And the lady we had helping us how to order our food was nice too. Weird way to self order from the table. I couldn't really figure it out, but the cashier lady was more than happy to take my order in person. The drinks were really flavorful as well. The coffee was rich and robust. Love the fact that they do brunch on weekdays. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because the mimosa is pretty overpriced for the quantity. Other than that, great place to visit!
I like the location of this cafe. It has the feel of being in a train station. We sat outdoors. What I ordered was unremarkable. I had the breakfast pasta. My friend ordered the shakshuka. It looked a lot better. We shared some of the French toast. It was tasty. I think that maple syrup is a better side for it than the white sauce they give you.
Just be aware that once you get seated you got to order online via QR code on table once you’re at your table because there isn’t a waiter that will take your order. I didn’t know but my buddy told me after he got his food. Overall the food presentation is up there, I ordered the Power House with Egg whites, spinach and chicken(I’ve had other versions which were more flavorful but it did the job, chicken was tender and it was a descent size portion), side of chicken sausage(tasted good, but about average) & side of bacon(cooked perfectly and crispy). Definitely a great lunch spot but can get very very busy, lots of great restaurants/cafe’s on the row to visit also. ***Update*** Had their Chilequiles(delicious & recommend) and vanilla latte(amazing coffee!). Their Argentinian steak and eggs with hash is the best breakfast dish I’ve ever had.

I love Blu Jam and consider it to be a top LA brunch place. This was my first time visiting the DTLA location and any Blu Jam post pandemic and it was disappointing. Here is what was great: the host is amazing: friendly and efficient. He is a great brand ambassador. The ambience is nice especially if you can sit in the patio area. There's great natural light. But what didn't work: It says on the website they use Yelp waitlist. They do not, at least not at the DTLA location. They use the QR code scanning version of ordering but it makes for an awkward brunch experience. The food doesn't come out in a specific order and the servers were too busy to address any of our questions. And depending on your mobile service we went through three phones to order before we could get the order through. My breakfast pasta wasn't served hot. And my coffee was also lukewarm. They don't serve coffee so you're expected to order another cup of coffee if you're done. I tried to ask the server a question about the French press and she said she came back and never did. Must park on the street or one of the surrounding lots which can easily add to the stress or $10. Open to hearing the best lots to park at!
Service is super attentive and friendly. You can scan the QR code to order or order with the staff. I wanted to change my order after ordering and they accommodated my request. Food is plentiful and looks great. Taste was average. The French toast was average. The jam was also average. It very sweet.
The service was not great. I had to pull up the menu, order my own food, and pay & tip beforehand. The food was not warm, it was at room temperature. Our drinks were not cold, they were at room temperature.I had to get up and search for napkins. I'm not sure why I was required to tip since I was my own waitress. Nobody came over to check on us. On the flip side, the flavor of the food was outstanding! I'm giving them 3 stars because the food was delicious. The food is overpriced considering all of the above negative experiences. I spent $92.91 for three people; this includes the tip. Two burgers, one sandwich , two freshly squeezed orange juices, and a vanilla Frappuccino.
Food was ok, nothing special. Benedict was gross and was basically served vinegar hard boiled eggs! Self serve style, order at the kiosk or on your phone. Had zero interaction with staff other than being seated and someone bringing our food. Also, 1 item was missed from our order causing a delay. They insisted I didn't order and when I showed them receipt on my phone the food appeared shortly after. Weird experience.

Came here with a friend for breakfast. Similar to what other reviews have mentioned there are no servers so you have to order from your phone which personally I don’t care for. I didn’t mind this because other reviews had mentioned how good the food was but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. We ordered the French toast and tofu scramble which were both very bland. Once we added some salt to the tofu scramble it tasted better. But the worst part was that all of our food came out cold. I did have the mocha latter which was great and the only saving grace in this experience. This is absolutely a one and done for me. Personally, this was not worth the money.
I really wish my experience here had gone differently. I stopped by today and ordered two mimosas and chicken tacos, but after taking one bite, I politely asked if I could exchange the tacos for something else. The staff member agreed with no hesitation, so I ordered a burger and very clearly asked for no toppings- just an egg with mustard on the side. When the burger came out, it included all the toppings I emphasized (several times!) that I did NOT want. I tried to get her attention but she signaled for the manager to come over to me instead. I calmly explained to the manager that my burger came out wrong and he didn’t seem to understand why this was a problem at first. He kept asking me, “What do you want me to do?” and “What happens if you don’t like this item instead? You can take the toppings off, right?” His tone towards me felt very cold rather than helpful, which caught me off guard because I was nothing but respectful and communicative. So I took the toppings off and still ate my food but once I was done, I spoke to him again about my experience. He kept bringing up that the café “lost money” by exchanging my food and repeatedly reminded me the burger was “free,” as if that meant my concern didn’t matter since they exchanged my food for me at no cost. At one point he said, “Make sure you tell them it was free!” even though I hadn’t mentioned speaking to anyone else or writing a review during our conversation. Hearing that made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed, because I was never trying to take advantage of anything — I simply wanted the replacement food I asked for prepared correctly. He also accused me of “yelling” one time, while I was truthfully speaking to him very calmly which is something that stuck because it made me feel misunderstood and somewhat singled out. It’s hard to describe, but the whole interaction left me feeling unwelcome in a way that honestly hurt. I don’t know if it was just a misunderstanding or something deeper, but it didn’t feel good as a customer. He explained afterward that they prefer online orders to avoid mistakes, which I understand — but that still doesn’t excuse how the situation was handled. I ordered with the QR code before i asked to exchange my food, I communicated clearly, and the error with the burger wasn’t mine. A simple acknowledgement and being treated with kindness would’ve meant a lot. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed, blamed, and uncomfortable over something that could have been resolved kindly and professionally. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience genuinely made me feel out of place. I hope the café takes this feedback to heart, because no customer should walk away feeling the way I did. I hope future guests are treated with more understanding and care.
it's awful \nfirst we lost the location 2nd we paid for parking \n3rd we couldn't find the beauty of the place thinking it was outdoors

Usually I don’t write reviews but I had a horrible experience here today. First of all the table we sat at was covered in dirty dishes and even when I asked the waiter to clear them he shrugged and walked away. We ended up having to clear them ourselves. The food took upwards of 45 minutes, we didn’t even get our drinks for at least 40 minutes. The second round of drinks we ordered took so long as well, we ended up just having to go fetch them ourselves from the kitchen.
I visited my family and we decided to have breakfast here. Worst mistake ever. Parking sucks. Waiters don’t check on you. You have to order either over the phone or walk up to the front to order. If you even try to order with a waiter, they just ignore you. They never check on you. If you run out of water, they don’t notice. The older male waiter was especially rude. The only saving grace was the young woman with tattoos. She was so sweet. The food was crappy. It doesn’t come out all together yet it’s all cold somehow. Multiple items were missing or wrong from our order. Everything about this place was awful. I don’t understand how it has any positive reviews. There’s too many great places to eat in LA to settle for crap food and service. Attached are my leftovers: their supposedly popular French toast. It came out cold like it was just sitting around with no powdered sugar. They didn’t even give me butter when I asked. Just ignored me
Usually I don’t write reviews but I had a horrible experience here today. First of all the table we sat at was covered in dirty dishes and even when I asked the waiter to clear them he shrugged and walked away. We ended up having to clear them ourselves. The food took upwards of 45 minutes, we didn’t even get our drinks for at least 40 minutes.
