I recently dined at CALI PHO NIA restaurant and was blown away by the exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the vibrant ambiance and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. The menu offers an incredible array of California-inspired dishes that are an absolute delight to the palate. The pho, in particular, was a standout with its rich broth, tender meats, and fresh, aromatic herbs. Each bite transported me to the streets of Vietnam. Great late night pho place for those soup cravings. The soup was very clean which I loved. There wasn’t much oil and a ton of beef flavour. The onions and cilantro is also served very generously on the side. Definitely would recommend to any one in the area.

Great food and there open late till 2am , great service well recommended, on the menu number 11 👍 is real good. Parking is $5 it seems that when u don't tip good, her face changes on the waitress. Besides that, we'll recommend 👌

Great late night pho place for those soup cravings. The soup was very clean which I loved. There wasn’t much oil and a ton of beef flavour. The onions and cilantro is also served very generously on the side. Definitely would recommend to any one in the area.

I’ve been on the lookout for good pho around K-town for the 4 years I’ve been living here, but still… seems like I can’t find any. I grew up in East Side Bay Area, so I know good pho. And this place, although it’s a good temporary fix, just doesn’t have that same depth of broth that I’m looking for. Lovely nice workers though.

Tried the banana milk tea from this Boba Story. Tea was fine but the banana flavor tasted artificial. The seating area was cute though.

Not the greatest pho in LA by any means but a very decent and tasty bowl of Pho and most definitely a great value for the price! I was pleasantly surprised with the generous bowl of broth and noodles and a decent amount of meats in their combo meat bowl. I’m not exaggerating, it is huge! Portion may be a bit too generous for most people so get ready to bring leftovers back home.

Came here at 11:00 on a Friday afternoon. Use to LOVE this place. They now have valet, even in the afternoon! Got the meat combo pho. Food came out pretty fast. When I first took a bite of the Noodle, was great. But the longer the noodles Sat in the broth, the noodles became more mushier.. left 1/2 the noodles because it didn't have the texture anymore. I was there for a total of about 30mins. The server NEVER came back. Instead, she was chit chatting with the owner, then her cell phone. Never came to see if anything else was needed until the end. THEN she comes over to ask if I needed anything. Yes. My water cup was almost empty for the last 25mins.. Ps.. they have imitation Sriracha which was VERY bad! Ruined the taste of the pho. The bottle looked 90% like the real one! But the taste was off. Please get the Sriracha back! They are now available!

Should have left as soon as I walked in but here I am hahaha to begin with.. service was awful the waitress lady has a really hating her job.. asked for soy sauce a fork and napkins and she was upset that I got up to ask because she wouldn’t come to the table to see if I needed anything … then she said “ok sit” lol then when I gave her honest tip she came back and said I had to pay the percentage printed on the receipt lol…. Nah fam no wonder it was empty at 9 pm in Ktown … food wasn’t bad tho just shitty service

One of my goto place when craving for Pho. Good size, like the soup because not oily. However, one server is not friendly. You have to be careful when asking for extra stuff like onions, bean sprouts. She will give you mean look. I still go for pho for this place but try to avoid when she works there. Other than that it's happy place.

Went there with my family and a friend who had never had pho before and we're trying to introduce him to new foods. So far we're doing good. The food: We ordered three number 11, CaliPHOnia, one number 2 (it was some beef), one pork fried rice and Thai and Taro teas with boba. The drinks were good, sweet enough to enjoy without feeling guilty at the end. The pork fried rice was good but not impressive, it comes with a nice cabbage salad. And the soups had little flavor and were too sweet. The soups were huge, two adults can easily eat with only one, it had lots of meats, yes, but the broth had no flavor, it was only sweet. It was very disappointing, I was not only looking for some soup that would warm me up but I was also looking to impress my friend. We failed. We came here because my cousin recommended it but we didn't like it and actually left half or a bit over our soup each, not because we were full but because it had no flavor. Of course you can help it a little by adding chili sauce, lime juice and the veggies they give you on the side. But I love to enjoy the broth by itself, this one...no good. The service: at the beginning was fine, the lady who took our order was nice. Food came out about 10 minutes later, which I think was reasonable. But when I paid, I signed the ticket and left the tip on the table, cash. The other lady working there came back to pick up the signed receipt, when she saw no tip on it, put the ticket back on the table and seemed mad and demanded a tip. I told her that the tip was in cash on the table, and she didn't even wait for us to leave and she grabbed the cash and left. First of all, a tip is not mandatory, if you want it to be then make it clear and known in advance, but we aren't obligated to tip if we don't like the service or the food. Second, if you want to ask for a tip, at least be nice. But her attitude was rude, you can't do that if you're expecting a customer to give you extra money that he isn't required to give you. She rudely took the cash and left, we couldn't believe it and we were talking about it, and the lady went to the other lady and told her what happened and they both started speaking in their language and seemed mad after that. Unbelievable, ridiculous. Not coming back ever. Atmosphere: good, small place, relaxed decorations.

I’ve been coming here for about 2 years , the food is good. The amount is great and they never mis with their pho. Today, I came in with my fam , paid with my card and I got chased for tip!!! They have never done this and not only they are loud about it but tip is not mandatory. And yes I did tip, cash. The tip was in the table. I don’t know if I want to come here again. No one should chase a paying customer for tip that is not mandatory.

Been ordering from this place for over one year. The food tastes good. However, the portion is getting smaller and smaller with same or even higher price. It’s just so obvious when you see four small summer rolls in the box while before they were big enough to fill up the whole box.

Pho was pretty bland. They only have hoisen, sriracha and chili paste which didnt help. Eggrolls were good. The peach tea not photod was very good though.

Found hair in my soup…. Ordered the Tendon Soup at 11pm Wednesday august 21,2024 through uber eats and found a shot black hair in my soup causing me to throw up.i order the tendon soup all the time so i know theres not supposed to be small hairs on it.

I don’t know how to call this place , it’s very disappointing, disrespectful and kind of racist ! My friend and I ordered first our food came last, the two tables that ordered after us were served first they were Asians, then when we finished our food the waitress was asking for an obligatory tip, their service is terrible! I should not have gave them any dollars in tips! Never ever going back to that place!

I've been here for a couple of years, but my delivery experience was so disappointing. I ordered online, and the system indicated a 10-15 minute wait time for pick-up. When the status showed 'ready to pick up,' I went to the restaurant, but they told me I needed to wait. After another 10-15 minutes, I returned, but they almost shouted at me, saying the food was still not ready. I don't mind waiting if the estimated time is communicated accurately, so I can manage my schedule. I even called the restaurant to check, but no one answered. My issue isn't just the long wait; it's the lack of service and the rude treatment I received. food is good but staff member was the worst

Food didn’t taste that well at all. The service wasn’t great, if anything there was no service at all. To finish it all, after I paid and signed the receipt, the lady who took the receipt started asking me why I didn’t tip. They press on a 15% tip and even give you three options for the amount of tip. Like girl I only had enough money to pay for the food and despite the fact that I told her I didn’t have much money on me she STILL insisted 💀. Please do yourself a favor and do NOT COME HERE‼️ There’s better pho places that are better, both in service and in food.

Wanted to give this place a 5 star because the food was actually good. However the service ruined the experience for me. Our server never checked up on us if we needed anything else. We had to literally yell excuse me since she was ignoring us as we tried to flag her down several times. After we paid and signed the check, I was shocked that she had the audacity to chase us outside as we were leaving. She said that we had to pay minimum tip but the receipt said suggested tip. We told her what we wrote down is her tip and that it’s optional to tip. She was shocked and went back inside upset. I have never been to a Resteraunt that chased me outside over a tip. As someone who used to be a server, it’s unprofessional to chase down a customer over a tip. even if they didn’t tip or it wasn’t the tip you expected. She should be glad she got a tip and she would have gotten a better one if she had better service. I will never come back to this place or recommend eating here. The food was also overpriced. There are better pho places in Los Angeles with better prices and services. You also have to pay for parking here.

Service is not great, food is okay but the lady who charges you expects you to tip more than $20 per check regardless of the amount you already paid for your meal or she will chase you and demand a bigger tip. Never again, after you order and your food is brought to your table there’s no actual service you wait forever for more water or toppings and for your check but once you pay she will not stop staring at you and following you to make sure you tip however much she expects and if you don’t tip well according to her she will argue with you.

The service here is terrible! I ordered some pho and got it but the server never came back to ask us if we were good or needed more water. Fine, whatever. Once done, we literally had to scream out loud to get the server’s attention. Finally paid and even though the service was bad I decided to leave a tip on the receipt. As we walked out, to my utter surprise, the server comes out demanding more tip! I was so confused because she was not only a terrible server that ignored us but the food is not cheap. I told her tip is optional and just walked away. I would never come back to this establishment. The pho was good but nothing to rave about either. There’s other pho places around LA that is cheaper and better service. She would have gotten more tip if she was more attentive to us when we needed something.

Terrible experience at this place. They chase customers for 15% tip. The server chased us when we had already left good amount of tip for her. She demanded additional $2. The bill clearly mentioned tip as optional. When we refused saying it’s optional, she kept asking for more tip. Finally, we had to tip additional $2 and leave.
