The Beans & Tasting: A great little stop in Echo Park, especially if you are looking to buy high-quality beans to brew. The Beans: I picked up their "Alejandro" espresso beans. They were roasted just yesterday—wow, you can't get much fresher than that! The Sample: The staff was great and offered a complimentary cold brew (when you buy beans, it comes with it), which was a really nice touch. Next Time: I only grabbed the beans this visit, but based on the quality, I will definitely try their drinks next time. The Vibe & Logistics: Atmosphere: This is a wonderfully cozy coffee shop during a rainy day. It has a warm, inviting feel that makes it a perfect hideaway from the weather. Parking: Be prepared: there is no parking lot, so you have to rely on street parking (which can be a bit tricky in Echo Park, so keep an eye out for open spots!). Verdict: A super cozy neighborhood spot with incredibly fresh beans and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Stopped by Canyon Coffee with the family. Matcha was solid. Coffee was legit. Not overthought, just done right. Best part though? The vibe. It felt relaxed and easy, and a special shoutout to Rania, who helped us out and genuinely made the stop feel welcoming. Would 100% go again!

Canyon Coffee nails the cappuccino—smooth, balanced, and clearly made with real care. There’s no over-foamed milk or scorched bitterness here, just a beautifully made cup that feels like it belongs in a much bigger city but somehow fits perfectly in this sun-drenched pocket of L.A. The space itself is relaxed and curated without being precious: natural light, clean lines, and just enough warmth in the wood and ceramics to keep it from veering into sterile. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to slow down, even if you’re grabbing something to go. They’ve got a small but intentional lineup of offerings—excellent teas, matcha that isn’t overly sweet (bless them), and a few pastries that pair really well with their drinks. What I appreciated most was how quietly confident everything felt. Nothing was trying to be a gimmick or shout over the next trendy shop down the street. This place knows what it is and delivers on it. I took home a pound of their beans, which have turned out to be just as solid brewed at home. Bright but grounded, with that light chocolatey finish I love. Canyon Coffee is definitely in the rotation now—for both mornings out and mornings in.

Canyon Coffee is always a vibe. It’s the essence of transplant culture in LA. You have everyone just being extremely interested in conversations that just lightly touch the air as everyone sips on their non-dairy variation of drinks, but truly there’s something magical about having a coffee in a crowded space with a bunch of hipsters, mountain loving city folk who love gossiping about LA crap. It’s truly something uniquely LA. The coffee is great, I don’t know if I’d buy a bag of beans as they are better priced at Bristol Farms when discounted, but the draft oat latte, and the espresso is on point. The staff is hella friendly and enjoyable to shoot short nonsensical conversations while complimenting each others attire is pretty much the vibes. Come for the coffee, stay for the people watching, be a tease, and enjoy the heat. And hey, if you’re able to get a seat inside cherish it like gold. Those spots don’t open up till the meaningless convos of LA die out, and usually that doesn’t happen till a little past 1/2 pass 1:00pm. Would highly recommend. Arrive early, leave late.

If I could for a second forget how hard it was to find parking around the area, I would easily see myself being a regular at Canyon Coffee. For me the vibe did worth the hype. The cafe wasn't only nicely designed, but there's something about the atmosphere that just made it felt like a comfy space to kill time doing people watching while enjoying the music played using vinyl record player. Do expect long line throughout the weekend so this was only the kind of place you would go by yourself or in very small group if you're planning to get a seat. I sat by the bar on my own so it turned out perfect for me. Following what everyone seemed to rave about, I did order their Labneh Toast. Forgive me for being not 1000% in alignment with the crowd, I did think it was luscious but not slapping as much as the attention it had drawn (or prolly I set too high expectation because of the reviews). Don't get me wrong, it was indeed great combo of sweetness from the honey and tanginess from the labneh, along with nice texture play blending creamy labneh and crunchy buckwheat. Nonetheless, for me it was more like I did get my curiosity answered, but not something I would return and keep re-ordering. Saving the day, the brown sugar latte was BOMB, especially I got it with pistachio milk which surprisingly just made perfect pair! I've always been a fan of non-dairy alternative as it helped giving creaminess but not overpowering the coffee taste from standing out and I'd say Canyon's coffee notes just suited my preference well, with bold aroma and low acidity. If you're a local of the area, this was totally a perfect to-go neighborhood coffee for ya!

Canyon Coffee literally shook my world. My brother and I were visiting from Florida, doing what we always do - in search of the BEST coffee shop experiences imagineable. Canyon blew our expectations out of the water. We were greeted by the coolest cat, Carlos, with a bold, yet incredibly friendly stature. He knew the menu like the back of his hand. I landed on the eloquent “Hot Japanese Brown Sugar Latte”. LIKE WHAT!! Craft of the craft, one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Yes, “my bro and I are twins”, I told him. Little did I know we were about to be served a delectable slice of perfectly baked Banana Sesame bread made by a local queen. Impressively moist. Yep, I said it. From the time we walked in, we felt like we were home. A pleasant experience all the way around. Dialed in coffee. Amazing service. Great chats. Insanely styled atmosphere. Food was unreal. Phenomenal experience. We will be back for more… one day. Bring this to Florida asap please.

I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops in LA (Maru, Verve, Stagger, etc) and I can definitely say the matcha here is pretty good. It has enough sweetness that most “casual” matcha drinker and connoisseurs can appreciate.

Happening spot with great options! They are known for their coffee, but also have great herbal tea options. No WiFi, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for that. It was crowded with a line out the door when I was there on a Friday morning. It moved quickly though and seemingly without compromising any quality of their products.

Canyon is lovely. Warm wood interior, counter bar, vinyl collection, outdoor sidewalk patio— it feels like a true neighborhood spot, but without being performative. Service is friendly and fast, drink options are unique and always delicious. One thing to be aware of— parking is often atrocious on the weekend. But worth braving!

This is my go-to spot for matcha after a Saturday hike. The sense of community here is amazing—everyone is so open and welcoming. I love running into friends and meeting new ones. The staff is fantastic, and the matcha pistachio latte is a must-try—so delicious with minimal added sugar. Their pastries are equally delightful. The decor, the aesthetics, and the overall vibe make this place feel like a little retreat. Plus, Carlos, our barista, has the best Spotify playlist! Don’t forget to bring your own cup to save the planet!

Great baristas, use professional grade appliances and methods which makes for great tasting espresso, latte, cortado, americano and many more hot and iced coffee drinks. The pastries I've ordered were scrumptious. The vibe is cool with spinning vynil tunes playing all day. There's a bar, seating indoors and outside, sidewalk typical coffee shop seating.

The best service, matcha with pistachio milk, and toast. I love the ambiance and everything I’ve tried here. The owners are often there helping out too— you can feel the care they put in to their business. My only advice is get here early if you want a seat because this place is always packed! (It’s that good.)

They serve coffee made with roasted beans that strike a perfect balance. The coffee was served at the right temperature, and the cafe’s atmosphere was relaxing. They even went out of their way to serve the coffee to the outdoor seating area. The only downside is the difficulty of finding parking spots around.

My matcha pistachio on tap was fire. First time having matcha on tap and it didn’t disappoint. The place gets super crazy on the weekends though so we didn’t stay for long.

Beautiful coffee shop! Found myself in this neighborhood and this was a perfect spot to walk, get a coffee, and read my book outside 😍 inside was packed, but there are some adorable tables outside. Street parking. The fig leaf latte was delightful! 10/10 with a soft, citrusy sweet flavor. Impeccable. The oatmilk latte was good too. The tuna toast needed some more seasoning but I see where they were going with it.

Great matcha and coffee drinks on tap — was pleasantly surprised by the pistachio matcha, which had a subtle nutty flavor. It was pretty crowded when we went, with a line out the door, but it moved relatively fast, and the workers were all super friendly. We got to-go, but there didn’t seem to be any spots to sit if you wanted to dine in as it was very busy. It was also hard to find parking — had to wait for a spot to open up down the road and park there.

the latte tastes bad (for my liking... it is too bitter, and seem quite overextracted) but the art is great and has the right consistency. and they actually made it x-hot, when i asked —something most places ignore. the vibe is nice and there is outdoor seating but no wifi! be warned

A popular pace in Echo Park. Canyon Coffee offers the client a good selection of hot and cold beverages and food items. Always greeted with a welcoming smile. My one concern was paying with cash. As I had to pay with exact payment, Which I just happen to have. Most pay with card or app-based payments.

Went there today! And while the iced coffee I got was good, I got the worst cinnamon bun I’ve ever had, the dough was so so dry, and the frosting was also not tasty at all. Service was also quite cold. I’d go again for the coffee, but wanted to warn anyone about the cinnamon bun.

I got the matcha pistachio - let me start by saying that I feel it was a little misleading because I expected matcha flavored with pistachio. If it’s only pistachio milk, I think pistachio milk matcha would be more appropriate to mitigate confusion on that. That said, the matcha itself had a fine taste - not bitter, not astringent, not grassy. However, I think there definitely needs to be more matcha in the drink because it was on the milky side with light matcha flavor. The drink is not sweetened, or if it is, it’s very, very light, even as someone who does not like drinks too sweet. I like that it gives you the opportunity to sweeten it to your liking. The cafe is cute inside and I’d really like to try that biscoff cinnamon roll one of these days. I think I may give the hojicha a try next.
