The Westin restaurant never disappoints me. LA Prime is located on the 35th floor of the Westin. We stayed there for a couple of days, so we dined in to take advantage of the breathtaking view. The restaurant's famous dish is the 24-ounce bone-in ribeye—a huge portion that can easily serve two people. The scallops are perfectly cooked, resembling those made by chefs in Hell’s Kitchen. The view is unbelievable. From daylight to nightfall, we enjoyed the sunset over Downtown LA while dining. Both our eyes and stomachs were pleased.

It's been a while and the place is better than before! Really upped their game. I also think the prices are reasonable being in the area it's in. 30 oz. Bone-in ribeye for $85 is not bad comparable to other steak houses in the area. Im not saying it's cheap but it's definitely a competitive price. Sides were all great including the escargo, fries, and shrimp cocktail. Will definitely return!

The ambiance with the city skyline in the backdrop is beautiful. We were lucky enough to go on a clear day. The team was beyond attentive and made sure we had the amazing service that was expected. The food was just as expected. Cooked to perfection and the sides (which are shareable) were all superb. They even made us specialty margaritas that weren't on the menu. You definitely get what you pay for at LA Prime.

Had a great time at LA Prime. Food and service was amazing. Our servers were very attentive and helpful. This is on the 35 floor of the Westin Bonaventure. We started with the chilled oysters, they were fresh and yummy! For dinner we had the Filet Mignon with the lobster tail. 2 sides were Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts. The views of the downtown L.A buildings were great. We will be coming back soon!

Our server Maria was wonderful! They did not have the bottle of wine we wanted but she brought out something similar for us to try and choose to get that bottle. Then she made our anniversary dinner very special by bringing us dessert. I had the lobster and my husband had the steak. Everything was delicious and the views were also not bad to look at. We would definitely recommend and we hope to be back soon with friends.

Fantastic steak. The ceasar salad was fantastic!! Good selection of wine. Great views. Decor could use a little update.

LA Prime Steakhouse is such a classy yet approachable spot! The atmosphere is sleek and perfect for a night out with friends or a special dinner. The steaks are cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the sides are just as delicious. Drinks are solid, and service is attentive and friendly. Definitely a great spot for a memorable meal!

Steaks are so flavorful and with a beautiful char. We had oysters which were huge. For sides try the loaded mash potatoes and the creamed spinach. For dessert NY style cheesecake. My one complaint is that there was an overly loud party that really killed the vibe. I guess people no longer can discern between a steak house and a Shakey's pizza parlor. But the men who served us were excellent and the food top notch. Would come back for that New York.

20250606: LA Prime, located on the 35 floor of the Westin, has amazing views on LA. The place provides intimacy, with its booths facing the windows in the round. My waitress and the bus service were thoughtful, helpful, and dediced. My Caesar salad included white anchovies without asking :-) I ordered my king salmon to be prepared medium rare. My salmon came cooked through, so medium, and while the skin was crispy faced up, the flesh was damp. Since the salmon was medium, and this is an expensive cut and place, I asked if it could be re-done. The second salmon came medium rare and was still wet. I'll need to explore cooking techniques to understand why the fish is wet. It was still good, but it could have been much better by not being wet. To go with the salad and salmon, I had a glass of prosecco, and it was a perfect match.

Very good food with a fantastic view. The food is well prepared, served hot and not rushed out. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, tasted great and served minimally prepared and served. The jambalaya had a bigger presentation with the crab and shrimp and was very tasty. The only thing lacking was it was missing any sign of the advertised andouille sausage. The brussel sprouts side was perfect. The decor is rather bland and understated, leaving the view as the main event. All in all the experience was a good one - solid food, great service and an amazing view (that you pay for with prices inflated by 20-30% over comparable places). We came for a birthday as did many others we could see. They brought out a nice little birthday treat. It's a place I feel for a special occasion.

It's fine for a hotel restaurant. The view is stunning, but beyond that I did not think the experience was worth what I paid. Multiple servers asked if I would rather sit in a booth away from the window. It felt like they were trying to keep tables near the window open for larger groups. I think I should have a view too. The Delmonico was tough, which the server did warn me about, but I had a difficult time eating it. For sides, I chose the asparagus and the creamed corn. I was very impressed with both, and especially to see elevated creamed corn on a menu. There was no cocktail menu. It would be nice to see some house specialties.

I blame myself for coming here for a New Year’s dinner. Obviously they were busy and unfortunately the food suffered for the. Firstly, the staff excellent. So nice and polite; very attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere, very romantic. Depending on where you sit, looking over the city at night — what a VIEW 😍 As mentioned, the food was subpar. The app was good. Got the lobster (or crab) bisque with no meat! I don’t need a lot, just 3-4 pieces and I’m happy. Main course, I got the surf and turf. Steak was cooked perfectly however the lobster was overcooked (gave it to my bf 😅). The dessert left much to be desired. It was just mousse, I was expecting either a small slice of cake or something. Mousse seems so cheap or a cop out to me (no offense). Still very pretty. Overall, for the price, I’ll think twice about coming here again. Like I said, I’ll avoid all holiday/events and see if the quality improves.
