Honestly, super small. No cash allowed! Ugh, old man here only carrying greenbacks, luckily my buddy paid for my drinks, embarrassing. No cash, no tip. They should think about that. Sorry, enough with the complaints, just there watching live music, dreamers, and supporting my buddy and his band Former Portrait. It is right next to a venue that has bigger bands play every once in a while. Other bars are nearby, but none open early, that is before 8:00 pm. The atmosphere is great with a crowd that is knowledgeable on music and friendly, you feel welcomed with these people! Great place to hang, if not small. Limited selection of beers with no stouts or porters. Had to go with an IPA. They get a five for vibe, community, and allowing performers to entertain us.
Julio is truly a master of mezcal. He tasteful used it in each of our drinks and gave my Old Fashioned a new life. I really enjoyed my experience. Thank you, Julio.
Ordered the Lion's Tail. Tastes like the candy I had when I was younger as a child. Awesome vibe. Plenty of space and selection of alcohol. Bartender is friendly and dj's too. Does it all.

Great bar in dtla. Can't wait to go again
I recently visited to the love song bar, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was vibrant and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a night out. The cocktails were expertly crafted, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. The bartenders were not only skilled mixologists but also friendly and attentive, making each visit to the bar a memorable one. I can't wait to return to there for more enjoyable evenings filled with fantastic drinks and great company
Love song bar is a great space to grab a drink downtown while enjoying local djs, bands and visiting acts. Adjacent to the Regent there’s always a mix crowd, nice eclectic traffic of good looking people. Bar staff is attentive, friendly and welcoming. Nice sound system and perfect intimate seating. Would recommend for a date or large group.
I love this bar in downtown Los Angeles. The drinks and music are great. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. It's next to The Regent Theater and it's a perfect place to go before a show.
Interesting and unpretentious with a friendly feel. Happy hour 4-7pm. Great bartender who played brilliant and eclectic records and was happy to talk about an album I'd not heard before. Great food, including vegan mac and cheese which was a nice surprise. Cocktails excellent.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, an excellent draft beer selection, amazing pizza from next door... whether you're going to a show at the Regent Theater or not, the Love Song Bar is a great place to hang out and drink. (Plus, as of this writing, there's a great band there on Monday nights.)
Nathaniel is one of the best bartenders ever - amazing vibes and great drinks, especially the cold brew drink
This little bar is low key but with a big vibe. I really love their live music nights featuring international and local musical artists & DJs, and the intimate space makes it feel very underground/ IYKYK type of thing. One night I wandered in and ended up seeing a Japanese rapper from the underground Tokyo hip hop scene who I had never heard of before, but it was so much fun and the crowd was super into it and dancing their butts off. It feels like they really care about bringing a unique flavor and variety to the nightlife scene here. Cocktails are also delish (I always order the Lastword), staff is friendly, crowd is relatively unpretentious. Def one of my go-to spots in LA for new music and dancing.
There’s a Bob Dylan lyric from the song “Tangled Up In Blue” I’ve always loved: “There was music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air.” That line always plays across my mind every time I set foot in the Love Song, one of the touchstones for why I love living downtown. It’s the kind of place where you meet your neighbors for the first time who then become friends, and the gracious bar staff knows your name and you know theirs. And there’s always phenomenal music in that front window that makes DTLA feel like Greenwich Village in the 60s. This bar truly is a Love Song to the neighborhood and I hope to singing its sweet melody for years to come.
love this place unusual cocktails ,is like sitting in some old vintage front room .Be careful of the tables though are a bit wobbly. Took a party of friends there who visting me from home in London and they loved it .Was a great place to go if you want to be able to talk. Recommend the cocktail with absinthe in . It blows your socks off
I loved this place. I saw a few bands and Sierra Miles was headliner. It is a fun bar and its just the right size. Great music and great sound. and of course they have pizza

They play vinyl, have a good food selection, and bring in great live music. There's never been a cover for the music, and the staff is great. Prices are pretty standard for downtown. I enjoy this place and will be back again.

The love song bar is adjacent to the Regent Theater. Very small and intimate will a chill vibe. The bartender was ok. The beer was good. Overall, it was a decent spot to grab some drinks and chill.
This place is awesome! It's a cozy bar with beautiful decor. Lighting is perfect, it's not noisy and the drinks are amazing. You can tell the bartender what ur poison is and what flavors you like and they will wipe up a cocktail for you. I had a 4 drinks all made with vodka one was better then the other. Customer service is great. I will return 100%
The drinks were perfectly crafted by our waitress. I had never experienced an amaretto sour made with egg, but I'm glad that I decided to give it a try. It was delicious! My boyfriend's Washington Apple was also made to perfection. Service was pretty good. The only downfall to this place is the fact that the drinks were tiny and we paid $12 each for them.

Apparently you'll have to blow someone to get a drink around there.

I'm sure this bar is great and lovely as the reviews make it out to be. The reason I'm rating it a 2 is because I attended a show there last night and there was absolutely no ventilation. People were packed like sardines and there was no flowing air; you were just breathing everyone else's breath. I haven't been there when it's just a bar and I'm sure it's nice but if they want to use it as a venue they really should do something to accommodate

I’m going to be so honest the staff outside have no idea what is going on we were sent back and forth between the several staff outside with all conflicting information. Good luck even getting inside … I had to call the bar for help, but the attitude of the staff outside was so poor we just left. Seems like it would be a cool place.
