my go to spot for a relaxed cafe work day or to meet up and chat with friends. seating inside is limited and there aren't any chargers, but they have outdoor seating as well. the baristas are always nice whenever i've asked them questions about menu items and it's pretty as well!
I love espresso vivace in Seattle, so it’s amazing to know there is a coffee shop with their beans here in LA! Baristas are friendly & personable, and the shop itself is adorable. So cozy with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Highly recommend :)
I didn't think you could get espresso this good outside of a fine dining restaurant, but apparently you can! I've been trying different coffee places lately in hopes of finding one with great espresso, and I finally did today. I saw the great reviews and tried it, and I am so glad I did! Prices are good and it has a great atmosphere, too. Will definitely be back!
Delicious coffee! And lovely garden to work in and a room full of plants. Very cute! Highly recommend the orange zest mocha and the gingerbread latte.
I visited yesterday and got the Cardi P latte. I loved the pistachio flavor! There's plenty of seating, and I stayed to do some work because the environment was cozy and I liked the music. A lady came in and was complaining about her coffee tasting like water, but it sounded like the baristas/owners were calm and not escalating the situation. I definitely want to revisit this place and also try some of their pastries!
Espresso Profeta – A Hidden LA Gem Tucked in Westwood, Espresso Profeta is all about quality coffee without the fuss. Their espresso is smooth, rich, and always on point—whether it’s a cappuccino, Americano, or latte. The baristas know their craft and make you feel right at home. Plus, the cozy courtyard is perfect for a relaxed coffee break. If you’re a coffee lover, this spot is a must. Simple as that. ☕🔥
This place has excellent espresso based drinks. Furthermore, Miranda, if you don't like the drinks and leave a bad review why do you keep coming back? Cheers.
Very good proper coffee (for an Italian), and easily the best in Westwood
While I've never had any food here, the coffee is spectacular. They have their service down pat, line flows fast with friendly service.
It is my first favorite coffee shop in LA... it is one of the first independednt coffee shops in LA, too. Their coffee is unvelivable - smooth and soft. So, I started going there over 12 years ago for the coffee, but now go back for the people who work there and the coffee. Everyone is cool and kind.
Really nice baristas and such good energy! Iced chai was amazing. Space is very relaxing.
Great coffee place near UCLA. Had a soy milk cappuccino and was so good. I also tried their pastries with an almond donut cake and was also really good. Ended up taking another drink to go because it was so good.
Really cool cafe, great menu. Had a nice conversation with the barista about massive attack and banksy
It's my favorite coffee place in LA. I've been around a few places, always happy when I come here. The coffee choices is big and they have a beautiful patio. I've brought all my family and friends over here!
Fantastic place! Great coffee with some creative (but not crazy) options like orange zest mocha - I loved it!
Great spot. Friendly staff, great space. Outdoor seating as well! Limited metered parking out front. Also a great 2 hour free city parking lot on Broxton (north of the cafe). Plenty of coffee options. And some prebottled non-coffee options. I got the kombucha. It was great! Coffee was solid. Nice spot to catch up with a friend or study!
The most beautiful coffee shop in Westwood, highly recommend if you appreciate great coffee with an amazing atmosphere.
Great coffee shop serving excellent iced coffees & lattes. Quaint ambience. Service was good too 💯
I didn't order any food. The barista was very engaging and friendly made me feel welcome. The latte I oder was delicious frothy just the way I like it. Definitely a place to go for your morning coffee.
Yummy orange and condensed milk latte and guava cream cheese croissant. Pretty patio seating. Small coffee bar so be prepared for a wait
Very cute coffee shop. Nice ambience full of art and flowers 🌹 really recommend for coffee lovers
Sooo delicious...most of the Iced lattes are amazing. The Iced Americano and Spanish latte are the best! I have been to many coffee spots. The espresso beans seem to have less acidity but wonderfully smooth. Americano is watered down without sacrificing the flavor of the beans. Service: always consistently wonderful Parking: very challenging. Please park responsibly.
There was a little bit of a line but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered a cortado, it only took a few moments for them to make it. Price was average. The drink was phenomenal, smooth creamy espresso with rich sweet milk. Very well balanced drink. No bite or bitterness to the espresso. A tiny bit of acidity but mostly just smooth. The building and furnishing were very nice and comfortable, rustic, and cozy. Would come again.

The gem of Westwood Village. Best espresso by far, perhaps in all of West LA. Their small, expert staff likely has over half a century of combined experience in high-end coffee, and their Vivace beans (also sold by the pound) are imported, freshly roasted, every week. On top of all this, the secluded indoor-outdoor space is, frankly, an epicurean oasis in an area which has become increasingly impersonal and ‘take-out’ oriented. Many both casual and luxurious spots for lunch nearby. Hammer Museum across the street.
Darling little spot by UCLA. I’m a coffee lover, and their spanish latte was so smooth! The guys were very friendly. Will need to come back to do some work and hang out longer.
The best coffee bar during my UCLA days. Always makes me smile with taste, flavor and Thierry kind attitude

The place is beautiful and vibey, BUT no outlets to plug in!!!! I didn’t realize until after I purchased my drink and began working. I searched every corner and did not find one, so I asked the manager and he said they don’t have any 🙄. He told me to go to the museum across the street. Such an inconvenience for people trying to work at the place. I think they do it so people don’t stay too long. Thankfully I had enough battery to get through my meeting. Other than that the drinks are typical.
Really beautiful spot to come, especially on a quiet cloudy morning like this one. I ordered a Cafe Caramello, hot. The espresso doesn’t come through as much as I wish it did, but the foam is great and the caramel syrup isn’t too strong. Would definitely come again and try more items off their menu.
Nice coffee shop with seating available both indoors and outdoors. I ordered an iced almond milk latte and it was smooth and creamy. However, it did cost me around $7 for a cup of coffee. Nonetheless, still tasty.

High quality espresso served in a paper cup: why? Service varies among the baristas from nice to nasty. Nice ambiance. I'm a repeat customer.
I was there last week. The employees are very nice, the coffee was delicious and that place is really beautiful. However the manager there (I think she was) looks like a despicable person. At 3pm sharp she kicked everybody out by yelling, slamming everything, she was agressive to the customers left in the shop but also the employees, yelling at them. I understand she wanted to go home, and I can understand that she was pushing the customers to leave. But the way she treated the other employees was insane. Those 2 guys were really nice and she was just screaming at them. I will not go back as I don't think we should encourage this managerial behavior.
This coffee shop has potential but misses the mark on the details. The location and decor are cozy. It feels lived-in, with exposed brick and vintage feeling furniture. However, the ordering process is extremely inefficient and confusing. The (admittedly, very friendly) baristas pass orders verbally twice: once to make the coffee, and another time to ring up the POS. All the while the queue of people has to zigzag in between itself to make this workflow happen. Then the coffee is just okay. The extraction of the espresso wasn't great - it was acidic and almost had a banana-like quality in my cortado. The pastries, while I don't think they're made in-house, were alright. The space is sort of rotunda-shaped, making the lounge area actually quite loud. I want to like Espresso Profeta, but it just doesn't quite work for me.
In a nutshell, I don't recommend this place and I won't be back, even if I'm right across the street. Got a Spanish latte with an extra shot and a chocolate chip cookie. The Latte was good but even with the extra shot it was still very sweet (for me). The cookie was good, chewy and had nice textures. It's a cute little place with seating inside & outside. Prices are high for the small cups (most only one size), would be nice to have some bigger options. Staff wasn't welcoming at all, and this is why I won't be back. Seemed like they didn't want to be there and I was interrupting their conversation by ordering. So sorry? I and 2 other people had to remind them to give us part of our order that they forgot. Parking is rough, meters or a paid lot it seems. Only stopped by because I was in the area, and they were right across the street.
The coffee quality is the best in Westwood. The are inside and outside was cute and cozy. Can get overcrowded at times. The service was a bit off. When I was ordering a drink I felt like they’d be better without me. And I should better go somewhere else. So maybe it was a wrong day or something. Because I do like the quality of the coffee.

Even one star is too much for these people. This place is next to my office and I always try to avoid them because of their lousy service and attitude. I figured I give them another try today and of course they did not fail. It seems like all employees are trained to be rude, unfriendly and disrespectful at this place. So many other coffee shops to choose from and believe me their coffees are not worth the terrible service. Never going back .. Avoid them
Terrible coffee and grocery store quality pastries. My boyfriend ordered a double espresso shot and they 1 laughed at us for some reason? And 2. only gave us a single shot that was extremely under-extracted. They purposely screwed shut all the wall plugs so you can't charge your laptop. Overall a very pretentious vibe and a total waste of money.
Rudest service ever. Basically made a mess of the order, then said ‘I really don’t have time for this today’ when I complained. No lines, no people around. Seems like making paying customers a drink is a massive ordeal. I advise everyone to go to Alfred’s just round the corner. Great service and good coffee etc. I see a lot of people on here have had a similar experience. Glad it’s not my business.
I'm giving 1 star and that's only for the charming brick building in which this cafe is located. At Espresso Profeta, I was insulted, served the worst 'coffee' imaginable--- hot water-- essentially. I ordered an Americano, who the nasty little guy serving me said had 2 shots of espresso. I assumed if it really had 2 shots, a 12 ounce cup should have good flavor. It has no flavor. None, hot water. I asked for half and half, I know he didn't put it in, I saw him heating the milk. I tried to drink it, but it was stupid to drink hot water. So, when i went to complain and said 'this is hot water' the guys at the counter, 3 of them, hanging around doing nothing, sort of attacked me as a group,. They ridiculed me, laughed at me, especially when i told them i live in Italy-- I DO! Not only didn't they offer to make me another coffee, they said "why don't you go to Ministry of coffee; their coffee is good!" YES i couldn't make that up. They actually did say that. I know that because i am not a 22- yr. old UCLA student they felt that they can serve anything to a middle aged woman, who they felt they could insult-- and when I pushed back, they didn't like it. They got even nastier. I hope the owners, a couple whom I have read about, who opened this cafe, read this and learn who they have working for them. I can tell them even more detail of how obnoxious and demeaning their 'team' is. And by the way, I did go to Ministry of coffee. There was a line out the door. Not the case at Profeta.
Cute coffee place with good choice of lattes, unfortunately they allow people to smoke at their tables outside. Even though it is prohibited by city law. So if you life your morning coffee with a side of cigar, this is the place for you! I’ll be going to Ministry of Coffee from now on.
Why bother with a “Specialty Latte Menu” these people don’t even try. I originally stop coming here because the staff is rude. Yes. Staff is still rude. Drinks are still bad. Lots of other options around Westwood
