Tip: If you want musubis, go before 3-5 PM as they often sell out. Some reviewers recommend the rice options over the ramen.

I came here with a friend on a Saturday at around 7pm, there was quite a bit of people but nothing overwhelming. The cashier had a bit of a temper, but it was the end of the work day, so I understand her. My friend asked her like 3 or 4 questions and I could tell she was getting visibility frustrated (the cashier). I decided to just place my order a bit more quickly than my friend and save us both the headache. I got the Let's Meat Up ramen and it was both flavorful plus full of meats. It was so good, and although filling, it left me wishing for a 2nd bowl, that's how good it was. I also looked through the side and you can peek into the window, both cooks greeted me in a friendly way and were having such a good time at what they were doing, kudos to them. The order also came out quickly and it was reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!
I came here with my friend to have our dinner together. I have been to Ramen Kendall for about 10 times in the past two years as a student around campus. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a quick dinner option or quick meal option for your lunch or dinner if you are at USC!
super tasty! good ramen, great musubis. the staff are really nice, and they’re pretty quick too, especially with how packed they get. warning: if you go after 3-5, there’s a solid chance they’ll be out of musubis because they’re quite popular. i usually get their shoyu chicken ramen w/ kimchi. quite good! if anything, give the musubis a try, they’re only like $5
This place is so yummy! It’s my first time eating here but it surpassed my expectations; really close to campus and reasonably priced.

I tried the ramen and the sushi burrito, and everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It made me wish I had studied at this university!
Tasty, filling, and fast. Everything about my experience was top tier. Bathroom was clean too!
I really don’t understand, why this place has only 3,7 stars. If I could choose 10 stars, I would. I tried 3 different ramens in 3 different place during my vacation, and those guys made the best one (I order “let’s meat up”) Also I highly recommended to try their sushi wraps, it’s totally worth it, I love it
My fiancé and I ate here last night before the Mau P concert. I am a USC alum (USC BCA Class of 2020) and I've always loved this spot. It's fast, delicious, and high-quality. They let us stay til close and even made chicken WITH tonkotsu broth ramen. So good. We will be back!!!!! Fight On!

The food here tastes great, especially the chicken and noodles. There aren't many menu options, so only come here if you're interested in ramen. The cashier was friendly and helped me choose a menu item. Since this restaurant is located in University village there is plenty of seating with beautiful views.
Had tons of ramen from everywhere in the world, including LA and Japan. Served with preserved garlic and marinated lava egg, this bowl of tonkotsu broth ramen with char siew belly (pork belly) was substantively satisfying. The noodles werent too soft but didn’t feel authentic. The pork belly was the dish’s salvation as it tasted melt-in-the-mouth amazing, with a good balance between lean and fatty meat. Three slices were given, but were rather thin. Overall decent ramen for a joint in a university. No gratuity charges as well makes it an ideal choice for students.
Bowl was decent. The spam musubi was great!
Three pieces of meat in your ramen for $17 lol

I come to this restaurant often when I come to visit LA. After trying different menu items, I gravitate more to their rice options than the ramen itself. The ramen now to me is pretty okay. This place is kind of a hole in the wall if you're not a student in the area, really glad I found it! The rainbow girl in the front is fun and honest with estimated kitchen times. She puts in the effort to try and suggest items if you're unsure. Good to chat with if there's time. Some orders do take longer to be pushed out though. I wouldn't come here expecting fast food. I do plan on coming back every time I visit!

I think this place is quite overrated because it was the only ramen in the village. It tasted just ok and was enough to get me full but won’t come back for good food. I ordered a soy sauce soup. The pork was grilled to burn. They didn’t give generous quantity too. I’ve found much better ramen in LA.

this green hair lady working at the casher have a horriable attitude toward asain people, be awear, got yelled at becuase i ordered something they dont have, how hard is it to speak nicely? ur shop close at 8 i showed up an hour + before. How dare you say I don’t understand? This is pure asain hate towards me
As a lot of others here have noted, this restaurant is rarely open at the end of the posted times on their website or in Google. This is unprofessional and quite odd. Everything else is fine for a USC Village level of restaurant. For a more authentic experience, venture out into the rest of LA. :-)
i think the food is serviceable, really, especially as it's the only ramen in the village. the ramen is alright -- nothing to write home about but certainly not awful, either. i actually enjoy the popcorn chicken. i think the owner (? not sure if he is, but he's usually the cashier when i go in or pass by) is kind of unpleasant. being east asian myself, don't get me wrong, i love to support asian-owned businesses, and to cut him some slack, i still eat here in spite of how i feel about the way he operates. anyway, like i said, the food is between okay and good. i would recommend going here, i think.

I ordered the Donburi, Chasui Pork with rice. Delicious - a bit on the salty side, but I don’t do salt when cooking so I can really taste it in my foods. But overall the sauce was good and the portions were generous, the service was quick and employees were friendly.
I ordered takeout, the lid for the broth was not on all the way and when I pulled it out it spilled all over me burning my hand and leg. All I had left was the noodles and a burn for my troubles

Came in hungry for ramen in a cold day. I ordered ramen and wanted to sit on and enjoy my meal. There was no place to sit indoors and an area with 5 barstools ON A TABLE seemed unoccupied. I asked LUPE THE CASHIER if I can sit there and she said “no we are about to close” … The only place to sit was outside in the cold. I ordered my food … then I calmly told her Me: what time do you close? She: 8pm Me: it’s 7:20pm please let us sit on the barstools it’s freezing outside She: no Me: have some basic customer service. Theres no place to sit … we will finish by 8.. it’s 7:20 She : no Me: then would you prefer I cancel my order ? I’m not eating in the freezing cold Her: yes! Great! And proceeds to refund my money with a smile on her face I’ll take my business elsewhere LACK IF CUSTOMER SERVICE

I don’t normally write reviews but me and two friends went to eat here. The food was flavorless and we all got sick. Literally as we were eating we all were like let’s stop i feel like this is going to make us sick. All our stomachs hurt all day we all were having the shits. We got gyoza, tonkotsu ramen, ktown ramen everyone fell sick. Never again! I’ve been here 2 years ago and it was better i’m really disappointed. My spam and sausage in my ramen was also way too salty.

I was having a chat to my friend, and I guess I wasn’t touching my food enough because the owner yelled out to across the room asking if the food is bad. I said no? Then he commanded me to eat. I could only smile at the absurdity of the situation and looked to onlookers who were also smiling/frowning too. Strange owner. I don’t know why things like this keep happening to me.
