Shabuya is located on Olympic Boulevard, conveniently situated between Downtown LA and Koreatown. The pricing is very reasonable — even after tip, it came out to about $45 per person for two people. Parking is easy with $2 valet service. The shabu-shabu meat is all-you-can-eat. It’s best to start by ordering about four of their recommended cuts, then add more based on your preference. The central bar offers a wide variety of vegetables, seafood, noodles, and sauces that you can freely add to your hot pot to build your own broth flavors. Personally, I found the peanut sauce mixed with a bit of chili powder to pair especially well with the shabu-shabu meat. The bar works like a buffet, so you need to serve yourself and bring items back to your table. Overall, a solid and satisfying shabu-shabu spot with good value and convenient location.
Sabuya is an amazing place for shabu-shabu! The ingredients are always fresh, the broth is flavorful, and the quality of the meat and vegetables is excellent. The atmosphere is clean, calm, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the service is consistently great. I highly recommend Sabuya to anyone who loves Japanese hot pot or wants to try something delicious and comforting. I will definitely come back again!
Love coming here for hot pot! The self-serve bar is always fully stocked, the veggies are fresh and clean, and the proteins are really tasty. Service is fast and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. This is always my go-to spot whenever I’m craving hot pot.
Friendly service. All you can eat fresh sliced meat and buffet for vegetables, seafood and sauces. Broth is not as rich as Chinese hotpot locations like Haidilao but that makes it a healthier and easier to digest choice.
Definitely one of my favorite spots in koreatown, the location is nice and parking is easy. This location definitely gets busy, especially around lunch time they do have an amazing lunch deal. But seating went quick only waited about 15 to 20 minutes. The restaurant itself is very large as well good for big parties, however the last couple times I have gone it was busy and it felt like our server forgot about us seemed to only be attending the larger groups. All in all good place
First timer it was amazing. Very confusing at first because they dont explain to you how to start off ordering. The menu is digital QR code scan. The staff did refill the broth when it was low. One of our stove was broken because it did not burn hot enough to have my broth boil. The food was fresh and amazing. The restaurant is super huge and big. Overall, I think that the little mishaps do not overweigh the positive review that I am leaving.I give this restaurant's in eight point five out of ten. I would come back again for sure.
Had an amazing experience at Shabuya! The food was super fresh and delicious, especially the meats and seafood. The broth options were great, and the sauce bar had everything you could want. The staff were really friendly and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and well organized, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Definitely one of the best Korean hot pot spots around.
Prepare to be seduced by the simmering symphony of flavors at Shabuya, a hot pot haven that transcends the typical dining experience. Stepping inside is like entering a warm embrace, the expansive space effortlessly accommodating both intimate tête-à-têtes and boisterous gatherings. The air is thick with anticipation, a gentle hum of contented chatter mingling with the tantalizing aroma of simmering broths. Let's talk about the heart of the matter: the broth. Shabuya doesn't just offer broth; they deliver an elixir of pure deliciousness. I opted for the Shabuya broth, and from the first spoonful, I was transported. It was a revelation, a depth of flavor that spoke of hours, perhaps days, of patient simmering. Each nuanced note unfolded on my palate, a testament to culinary artistry. This wasn't just soup; it was a soul-warming potion. The buffet is a treasure trove of culinary delightful ingredients with a sauce bar to enhance your hot pot broth. In addition you have five selected meats of your choice, each promising tender succulence, and a vibrant array of fresh ingredients beckoned. The freedom to customize my hot pot was exhilarating. With five distinct broth options, the possibilities were endless. The ambiance is effortlessly chic, a perfect backdrop for any occasion. The attentive staff, a well-coordinated team, ensured every need was met with a smile. And those individual table burners? A stroke of genius, maintaining the perfect temperature for our bubbling cauldron of goodness. To complement our culinary adventure, we indulged in Sapporo Premium beer. Its smooth, non-bitter finish was the perfect counterpoint to the rich, savory broth. A truly refined brew. Despite the alluring "all-you-can-eat" promise, I found myself gloriously defeated after just one round. The sheer abundance and quality of the ingredients were overwhelming in the best possible way. Shabuya isn't just a meal; it's an experience, a journey into the heart of flavor. If you're seeking a hot pot adventure that will leave you utterly satisfied, look no further. Shabuya is where culinary dreams come to life, one simmering, flavorful spoonful at a time. Be sure to sign up for the wait-list. It will help knowing where you are in the queue of others. As soon as we arrived, we signed in and were called to our table.

The variety of fresh ingredients, including high-quality meats, seafood, and a wide selection of vegetables, allows for a customizable and flavorful meal. The broths are rich and savory, enhancing the overall dining experience. The service is efficient, ensuring that diners have everything they need. It's a great spot for groups or anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying and interactive dining experience in the heart of LA.
Fantastic experience. Loved the atmosphere and the ambience of the place. Great all-around food quality, selection of meats, veggies and carbs. I particularly liked that each person gets their own soup so that you can choose your own style. Service was nice and fast. Would strongly recommend.

The restaurant can get busy, but the system is organized and the food keeps coming. Would come back again, especially if you enjoy AYCE hot pot with a good variety.
Came here for AYCE hot pot and overall had a very solid experience. Food quality was good, with a wide selection of meats and soup bases. The fried egg rolls and fried dumplings were surprisingly good — crispy, fresh, and very satisfying. Service was a bit mixed at the beginning. The staff at the entrance felt a little rushed, but once seated, the servers taking orders, refilling soup, and bringing food were attentive and polite. The restaurant can get busy, but the system is organized and the food keeps coming. Would come back again, especially if you enjoy AYCE hot pot with a good variety.
Quick, efficient, reasonably priced for the options offered. An overall solid option for ayce shabu shabu / hot pot where everything is buffet style except for the selection of thinly sliced proteins ordered through your waiter. This place is busy on the weekends and even busier when the weather gets a little cold because who doesn't love your own personal hot pot without any hassles? Make sure to check online for wait times and get on the wait-list through the Yelp app. Pro Tip: Don't pull a rookie move and go full noodles at the beginning as you'll fill up quick and thicken your broth too quickly. Protein, veg, accoutrements, and then noods.
I whine a lot about Korean restaurants masquerading as Japanese restaurants, and this is one of them... just de- Japanese the name and we're good. The thing is, this place kind of got it right. The meat is excellent and you can watch them slice and dice, which actually impressed me. They have a variety of soup bases, and they were all pretty good. Personally, if avoid the pork based one... that stuff conceals, and I'd hate to have to much in my arteries, no matter how tasty. The accoutrements bordered on excellent... good variety, way above average quality. This was one of my best shabu shabu experiences, and if in the area I'd probably go back. My biggest issue, however, was the compete lack of dessert options. We got a complimentary mochi-sesame thing, which was tasty, but insufficient. I guess they figure you'll be stuffed with the main attraction, which wasn't wrong, but I really wanted for a bit more. The after dinner coffee selection was basically an al a cart keurig, but I guess if there no dessert to go with it that lessons the sin. All in all, they've almost got it right, so kudos.
Really cool place to experience, my friends and I had never tried hotpot before and saw that this place had good reviews so we gave it a try. Parking was a bit crowded for us the day we went but not too bad. We didn’t wait too long to get seated. They have a bar you can go to to get different things like noodles, eggs, etc. the meat you order. The service was great and they helped us get things started as well as helped us cook some of the food we had trouble with. Would definitely recommend trying out.
Decided to hit up Shabuya during this fridge weather, i remembering when this used to be a Korean buffet. Still has that garden look outside, pretty nice touch. Street parking was easy, and I checked in on Yelp, waited about 20 mins on a busy Saturday night. Picked the Chinese and original broths...super rich and flavorful. Meat came out steady, although a bit tougher than I remember. Not a ton of sides like their Vegas spot, but enough to keep it solid. Loved grabbing my sauces and veggies, plus those lobster balls hit the spot. Price? Totally fair for the spread. Worth it.
Been a while since we went out for all you can eat anything, but it was my mom’s bday and what she wants, she gets. Service was extraordinary food was really pretty good. Meat quality was top notch. Broths were not the tastiest, but works out well in an AYCE scenario, cause I just use to cook the meat instead of eating the soup so more room for protein :) Short rib, beef belly and lamb were my preferred meats and shrimp and octopus favorite seafood items. Love the veggie selections as well. Definitely worth the $30pp and like I said, service was really good on this occasion. What can be improved: The heating stoves felt a little sketchy for dining, but can hardly blame them for the situation. Cleanliness is again hard to manage outside, but felt a lot like a picnic than a restaurant. Sauces and broths were a bit on the watery side. Love the chili sauce, but other can use some work. Broth again works out in our favor, but you be the judge.
Full on eat!!! Good food meat is fresh but ponzu sauce could use a little work and the green onions need to be sliced thin MUCH thinner. With that said, still good. Service is great too!\nNote*…

For someone who's had a lot of hotpot in her life, Shabuya unfortunately did not impress. Came for some dinner and was met with a pretty rude valet interaction, only plus was they have their own park…
WARNING: You have a little over an hour to eat. Be prepared to pay for a meal that starts at $34.99 just to be rushed out the door. It's a NO from ME... I must be on a roll because this is the second time I come to a place that serves noodles and they're either bland and/or the broth is very underwhelming. I tried the miso and pork broth, neither of them did it for me. The point of broth is to make it flavorful, not basic. It sucks when the best items here are the gyoza and meats. I loved the ribeye and wagyu round, it's too bad you have to pair it with their lame broth. This time the noodles were slightly better than my last visit but I'm still very disappointed. Shabuya is a restaurant for hot pot beginners. Thankfully, the hot pot procedure is fairly straightforward but some of the cookers are extremely hot while others are hardly working! It's so annoying to have boiling hot broth or cold broth. Also, the staff is very slow to refill your broth or have attitude when you ask them for a refill. I encountered a dude who was very unprofessional with me and was staring me down. I'm also a bit disappointed in the outside decor, usually I don't judge a place in that department but it's so sad out in their little greenery section that I have to mention it. There's spaces for outdoor dining and they're completely neglected, it looks surreal and dirty. Also, there's an area for a pond, it's totally dry! This place is bland both inside and out.
So, I cant comment on the food; we didn't actually get to eat. Some soup would be nice during this flood right? While waiting for our table we went out to the porch, as we were sitting we heard lou…
Went last week and had the worst experience. The broth portion is much smaller now basically bowl-sized. The broth was very dark and thick, and the meats were so bloody that they turned broth black. When I asked if it could be changed, I was told I would have to pay another $33.00 as if it were a new order. My son is 12 years old. Our total bill was $79.00, and we only drank water. This seems excessive. I will not recommend this place nor return. Bar has no deserts anymore . They used to .
My family and I visited this restaurant on a weekday evening, and even though it wasn't busy, the service was shockingly poor due to an apparent lack of staff. The most frustrating part was the server's utter lack of focus. While I was in the middle of placing my order, the employee actually started walking away before I had even finished speaking! They took my menu requests while distracted and walking off. This made the entire ordering process feel incredibly rushed, disrespectful, and frustrating. It was clear they were understaffed and overwhelmed, which completely ruined the dining experience. The staff was not friendly or welcoming, and frankly, they managed to ruin our family dinner. The management seriously needs to hire more people and provide proper training in basic customer service. Beyond the terrible service, the hygiene was also a major concern. The dishes were noticeably dirty, and the sliced cabbage we received was discolored, with the edges clearly browned and oxidized. This level of sloppiness is unacceptable. Considering the poor service and the questionable state of the food and dishes, I feel highly uncomfortable recommending this place. We will definitely not be returning.
