We found the restaurant through the good reviews and didn't regret the visit. The waitress and manager, who welcomed and advised us personally, were extremely attentive and friendly. The menu offers a lot of interesting, unusual dishes, but still offers a good selection for those who are less adventurous. Everything is freshly prepared and comes from local suppliers, even the very tasty beers! They rely on homemade, even the pasta and the excellent ketchup are homemade. Nevertheless, Heinz ketchup and mayonnaise are also offered for the children. The dishes served were consistently delicious and are more than recommended! The prices are more than moderate, considering the quality offered, the price/performance ratio is absolutely top and unsurpassed during our 3 weekly holidays in the USA. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant! Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit hidden on the 3rd floor, but is advertised near the escalators. You won't regret it!

The restaurant is at the end of the 3rd floor and we almost missed it but we were more than happy to do a few more steps and check out the menu. The owner came out to talk to us about the philosophy of the place and we got in and were not deceived. There are plenty of choices on the menu. We really enjoyed the Cesar salad and the florentine sandwich and the pork chili and as drinks we could taste some beers and the kombucha was great too! We could really taste that all ingredients were fresh and that the bread was homemade. We liked the place so much that we came back the next evening to enjoy the house salad and the BLT and the blue cheese burger and it was amazing again. The waitress and the owner made great drinks and food recommendations and we felt really welcome. We will come back if we ever travel back to Santa Monica!

Tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Santa Monica Place across from the Children’s Museum. Use parking lot for Santa Monica Place and avoid ground lot scams around it. Well crafted food with local ingredients prepared in their kitchen. Family run, friendly, love to discuss their recipes. Casual dining with a great draft beer selection. We enjoyed the Big Curious Salad, Baja Fish Tacos (crisp and hot with a great sauce), and Hummus.

Great salad and at a great price for the portion you get! All the vegetables are locally sourced and you could tell by the taste-so fresh! Service was quick and food came fast.

This is another amazing food place in Santa Monica! Our waitress was so nice, and could easily accommodate my grandmother who has a lot of dietary restrictions. We were pleased to find that they make everything in house, which you can really taste. Especially their sauces, which are amazing. The garlic sauce, mustard, and homage ketchup offer twists on classics that are refreshing and new. I got the hamburger with guacamole on it which was delicious. We also sat outside, which is in an upscale outdoor shopping mall. The service, food, and atmosphere all deserve 5 stars! Amazing!

The Curious Palate is fantastic! The portions are generous, and the food is delicious. The location is great, and the friendly service makes it even better. Kate, our server, was amazing—so attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot!

This place is awesome. The best nachos I've ever had! My son had the satay chicken tacos and they were also excellent. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Elliott. What a genuinely nice guy. He's truly a foodie who puts a lot of love into everything that goes out of his kitchen. Check it out, you won't be disappointed 👍

Spicy Thai satay burger steak is so good with watermelon salad! Steak is very juicy, smooth and rich in flavors. Very clean and great service~ Plating like art pieces! Highly recommend!

Story time! My friend was craving a cheese burger and I didn’t know where to find one. A nice security guard let me in on the best burger he’s ever had in his life, and walked me over to The Curious Palate. I didn’t know it at the time but the owner was there and working the counter behind the bar. He greeted me and my toddler with warmth and welcomed me in to view the menu before offering suggestions. I placed the order and went chase after my kid on the escalators. My friend came by and went into the restaurant to pick up the burger and ended up staying to enjoy the meal. I came back to find her and her daughter settled at a table sharing fries with house made ketchup. The owner came by to see how we were doing and we found out that all the veggies are sourced from the farmers market and they make their bread in house along with their burger patties. The burger was top notch and we agreed with the security guard about how it may be the best damn burger in town. The restaurant is bright with plenty of space for large families. The bar stools are comfy and invite the urge to sit a while and enjoy the lovely Santa Monica air. Will definitely be coming back 😊

Amazing little place inside the shopping mall! Food is outstanding and service is great. Loved their selection of local draft beer. Great coffee porter. Pea pesto pasta was delicious, light and fresh, with lots of pesto, peas and sun dried tomatoes. Way better than most Italian places. Burger was tasty too, cooked medium and served with well seasoned fries. Definitely recommend!!! 😋 😋 😋

Great service. Absolutely wonderful people. Great atmosphere and the food and very good. You can tell everything is fresh. The butternut squash soup was fantastic. The burger was good and side salad was wonderful. I would critique the burger a little as it wasn’t probably in my top 10 burgers around the world, but it’s a tough list to crack. This was probably a 7/10 burger. Taste and cook wise. But honestly, I’d eat again if I was local. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way, but it’s a solid place. Lastly, desert. Pudding cake, with ice cream. Absolutely fantastic.

When seeing that there were 6 the menu we were given changed, they took back and said oh let me get you the correct menu. Then noticed that this new menu stated parties of 6 or more were showing 18% minimum gratuity required. When the original menu we were given listed that parties of 8 or more had 18% gratuity. Husband noticed after they took the 8 person menu. I ordered kids meals for my kids to share and stated I was not that hungry and id just grab pieces of that they dont eat and the waitress stated she had to charge me for an adult meal instead (meal was a grilled cheese and fries). The kids mac and cheese was the smallest portion and my daughter was not happy with it taste or amount for the price and nothing else with it, definitely not again. Kids Chicken tenders were tough and the peanut butter and jelly was such thick bread slices the kids had to take it apart to eat. Informed waitress we were not satisfied with meal and nothing was done or offered. When paying my husband used his CC and declined the included gratuity as he was going to put cash tip on table and was not happy with service. And the original menu he had received stated parties of 8 or more had gratuity added. We are 6 - 2 adults and 4 kids (10, 9, 4, 2.5 ). Then she pulled out the other menu and showed where it stated parties of 6 or more and she also canceled the payment he made and would not leave my husband making him uncomfortable and mad that she would not let us leave after payment that she canceled and stated that the tip amount is mandatory in Ca. All the minimum tip amounts in their system were 18% per menu not on screen -20%, 24%, 50%, and custom tip.
