Avaliações de Coup de Thai Los Gatos
First time visit to this Los Gatos highly rated Thai restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant delivered the car expectation with wonderful tasty dishes that we ordered and the happy hour cocktails were great. Definitely coming back
I had the veggie green curry with a side of Jasmine rice. The food was fresh and delicious. Strongly recommended. A bit pricey though. They can at least include a free side of rice. The service was also perfect. The waitress was polite and friendly. We sat outside for lunch and the weather was nice. Great experience. We'll go back again.
Great ambiance, quality & tasty food and prompt service, nothing to complain about. We had the endless summer rolls, Tom yum kung soup, pad Kee mao and Thai iced tea. The summer rolls felt very fresh and the peanut sauce dipping it came with was very tasty. The soup had good amount of veggies and tofu making it a nice & healthy dish for this rainy weather. We requested for egg to be added into pad kee mao and they obliged for an additional $2. It was very good, we had ordered medium spicy but it was more spicy than that. Hence ordered a Thai iced tea to sip along and that made it a perfect balance with the spicy food. All of this came to $49.17 (with taxes) which is not bad at all for a quality restaurant in Los gatos downtown for 2 people's lunch. Will be coming back again later to try their chicken dishes.
The perfect place for dinner and drinks. A gem in Los Gatos! I came here a bit ago with a party of 7 and loved everything we ordered. I'd highly recommend ordering the pad see U (we got two of these!) Our wonderful waitress, Tully, mentioned that all of the decorations were authentically imported from Thailand, which we found to be so cool! Food, service, and ambiance were all 10/10!
The newly renovated and expanded Coup de Thai is amazing! The perfect place to go for great food, service and ambiance. Good for celebrations, date night or dinner with friends or colleagues. For after dinner, the coconut ice cream in fresh coconut and the jasmine tea with real jasmine flowers were to die for! I can’t wait to come here again!
Beautiful, clean, neat and so tasty 😋 The service is top-tier — everyone working there is incredibly friendly and attentive. Special shoutout to bartender Joseph, who describes the drinks and dishes like he’s reading poetry 🍸✨ If you’re in Los Gatos, definitely stop by. You won’t regret it!
Our family had lunch at Coup de Thai on Sunday afternoon. The place has recently been expanded and beautifully renovated, creating a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. We waited for about 5 minutes for a table and chose to sit outdoor. Although the restaurant was quite busy, our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was delicious, with many new and interesting dishes to try. We’ll definitely return to explore more of the menu.
I stopped by for dinner and was immediately impressed by both the atmosphere and hospitality. My server, Tully, recommended a curry that completely exceeded my expectations — perfectly balanced in flavor, rich yet bright, with just the right amount of heat. You can tell every dish is made with care and pride. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine from start to finish, making the experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you’re looking for authentic Thai flavors elevated by thoughtful service, this place is an absolute gem. I’ll definitely be coming back — and I’m ordering that curry again without hesitation.
Food and service were both good. When we got there, it was a bit before noon so it wasn't too hot or noisy. So we decided to sit outside, which was our fault. It did get hotter with more people walking around and lots of loud cars. So, while it was very nice/pretty outside, I would highly recommend sitting inside and not outside. Otherwise, everything else was amazing. Highly recommend!
Food is great, a bit more expensive than typical Thai but worth it! Service can take a while, but you shouldn't be in a rush when sitting here. All the dishes were great, but I highly recommend the fish plate and the shrimp balls. Chicken skewers and pad see wu also delicious. Some dishes were smaller than expected given the price but I still think reasonably priced for upscale Thai. Everything in the photos was really well prepared. They serve good cocktails here as well!
Great food and great service - lots of vegetarian options as well. The atmosphere inside is very welcoming with high ceilings and lighting around mirrors, especially effective around sunset. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The mixed drinks were worlds beyond what we expected - made for presentation but also perfectly balanced. The food was delicious - we got the fresh spring rolls with tofu (great peanut sauce), pad Thai with tofu, and red curry with tofu. All flavors complemented each other. I definitely recommend trying Coup De Thaï.
I bought my friends out for their first time trying Thai food and even as a Thai person myself it’s my first time to Coup de Thai and I’m so glad we made a good choice! The food was great, Nam, our server was incredibly friendly and had great suggestions. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere, not too loud or over stimulating, clean and well decorated. Definitely recommend!
What an amazing restaurant! This is my second time here, and once again, it has exceeded my expectations. The food is fantastic, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is truly delightful. My friends and I ordered the Pad Thai, Mongo Mango, and Basil Lamb. There are no words to describe how delicious all three dishes were—they were absolutely outstanding. I also had a dessert whose name I can't recall, but it was top-notch as well. Everything about this place makes me want to come back. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!
We visited this Thai restaurant with high hopes, but the experience was a mixed bag — and not in a good way. Let’s start with the appetizer. The summer rolls were a disappointment. The rice paper wrapper was unusually thick and chewy, almost gummy in texture, which completely overshadowed the fillings inside. A good summer roll should be delicate and light — these were anything but. Then there were the cocktails. I don’t mind a nice presentation, but when an oversized ice ball takes up most of the glass, leaving you with barely three sips of actual drink, that’s not craft bartending — that’s a ripoff. At restaurant cocktail prices, you expect more than a garnished ice cube. Now, to be fair, the entrees redeemed things slightly. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were both solid — better than average, with good flavor and well-balanced seasoning. If the kitchen can deliver on the mains, it makes the shortcomings elsewhere all the more frustrating. Overall, it’s hard to recommend a place where the appetizers feel careless and the drinks feel like a money grab. The entrees show potential, but the rest of the experience needs serious work.
Coup De Thai presents itself as a stylish Thai option in downtown Los Gatos, but our visit left us underwhelmed. The appetizers, such as papaya salad and chicken skewers, were decent, and the basil chicken and Tom Yum soup were solid enough to enjoy. However, the curry and noodle dishes lacked consistency in flavor and presentation, leaving us disappointed with the overall quality. Pricing also felt uneven between takeout and dine‑in, which added to the sense that the experience did not match expectations. The ambiance is cozy and modern, and the staff were courteous, though service timing varied and sometimes felt inattentive. While a few dishes showed promise, the inconsistencies across the menu made it difficult to recommend wholeheartedly. For us, Coup De Thai ended up being more of a one‑time stop than a place we’d eagerly return to, as the shortcomings outweighed the highlights.
This used to be my favorite Thai restaurants. Now they have a new menu and the food is very weird. All of my old favorites are gone. It seems like they are trying to be a super fancy restaurant with a high-end menu, but they are going to lose a lot of their old customers, like me. Oh well!
Overall, the food is good, but it's the service (mostly the kitchen) that would really make one not to return. From my recent visits, the food takes about 45min (yes, that's the actual time) to come out. With their extended seating capacity (newly remodeled) and kitchen remaining the same size, they are really beyond their capability to fulfill everyone's orders timely. There's always a couple Doordash-ers waiting a long while before getting their orders. And it's always only when the huge Doordash orders (more time constraint) are fulfilled, every table's food starting to come out quickly. The waitress was apologetic each time for the delay, but it gets old quick. For the most part, I would recommend this place, but if you are starving, DO NOT COME. And most importantly, I would recommend getting a reservation but the place fills up QUICK.
I wanted to love this place because the environment is stunning and the food is actually solid. The lamb chops, short ribs, and crab fried rice were all delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service was completely unacceptable. It was a chaotic Saturday lunch, and they were woefully understaffed. We waited ages for everything—from our first cup of water to the actual food. A cocktail we ordered showed up when we were already half done eating. The management seemed totally disorganized. Servers were running around with food, unsure of which table ordered what. We also sat with empty water glasses for most of the meal because the cups are tiny and no one ever came to refill them. To top it all off, they slapped a mandatory 20% gratuity on the bill despite the terrible service. It really soured the whole experience. Great food isn't enough when the service is this stressful.
