My daughter and I went to Lufkin and while there we were going to have lunch. She looked at several places but we really wanted a good potato and salad and this place had good reviews. * The lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful in descriptions of the food super sweet lady! * You can only sit outside or go through the drive thru. Since it was such a beautiful day we sat with my grandson outside * The food came about 6 minutes later and I must say we both were so impressed!! The potato was HUGE!!! We got one with butter, cheese, bacon and sour cream. The potato was very moist and very well topped! We also got a Cobb salad (we shared the meal) and it was so fresh as were all the ingredients. Got my grandson a potato,small with light butter and cheese, he absolutely loved it and ate most of it and some chicken. So overall if you live there and hadn't tried it DEFINITELY GO If you're traveling and looking for great little lunch look it up and give it a try 😋

She was right, the food was excellent and the service was excellent, i really enjoyed talking to the staff there, they made you feel like family. We will make this one of our weekly eating spots.

I enjoyed my food so much I decided to go back the next day. The Spud offers good food at a good price. Looking forward to going back soon 😋

Massive potatos for a really cheap price. The chili could taste better ( taste like the kind that you get add a Little League field food area, you know that cheap chili that goes on the nachos with the fake cheese) other than that the spuds are great!

There are endless choices for baked potatoes here and they are all excellent. You can never go wrong with a good potato. Also they serve the best elotes I've ever had.

As always the Spud is amazing. Always friendly and fast and delicious. So last night we saw a new item.... Corn n a cup.... Like Mexican spicy corn. We got a large (added to our individual taters) and my only complaint is that it didn't come in a bigger size. ABSOLUTELY F'N FABULOUS! May go back tonight!

The food is delicious, I always get the #13 with beef fajita!! Delicious!! The only issue for me is the drive thru wait… wish they had a speaker in the back to speed the ordering process. You could wait up to 20 minutes on a busy day maybe more… other than that this place is just great!!

For the level of customization offered here, I was astonished at how quickly the line moved and my own potato was ready. It was hot, fresh, and pretty much exactly what I expected and asked for. Food can get a little pricey but, as I've said regarding price before-you know what you're eating when you chose to eat there lol. For the quality, quantity, and experience, it's actually worth the money. Polite staff. If you're already cooking at home and looking for a great side (we were grilling steaks), I would strongly recommend. No complaints at all.

This place rocks. The potatos are huge and the prices are very fair. We will be back. The only reason I gave 4 stars is, there is no indoor seating. I have the updated menu and pricing in my pictures.

Had my first potato from The Spud and don't plan on going back. Chipped beef was full of sauce and wasn't very much. Mostly sauce. Instead of butter I had sauce. Bottom of the potato was hard- cooked to long. Not much filling. Poppas Pitts in Huntington a lot better.

We bought our food about 3:15pm. Both potatoes were with "bar b q". I put bar b q in quotations b/c it was sweet sauce with a "hint" of meat. Potatoes had definitely been cooked early morning for lunch NOT an early dinner. I know this because the peeling was dark hard brown on one side & inside of potato was brownish. If I hadn't driven so far to take them to eat, I would have gone to get money back.

I had the fajita spud, and my wife had the country fried steak spud. Neither of the toppings was great. They need to improve on seasonings and how they prepare the toppings. Everything seemed like it was microwaved. The potatoes are large. The service was quick. Make a better topping, and they will be great.

I do not like leaving bad reviews. I had a country fried steak potato. It was huge! But it tasted awful. It's like they microwaved the steak, total mush. Absolutely disgusting. By far the worse meal I have ever purchased. The corn had zero seasoning. Just dumped from freezer bag to microwave complete trash. I definitely will not make this mistake again.

The food to my opinion was not good the baked fish was to spicy and my husband and grandson had there fried fish and it give them stomach issues but new food some times does that but every one tastes is different so plz still give it a try my uncle likes it thas why we went
