Restaurant in a wonderful place on the border between Tuscany and Liguria. When I come to Mauro I always have the same terrible doubt: should I choose the focaccia with pickles, salami and cheese or the tagliata? Tonight we had both. Focaccia is amazing. You can't stop eating it. Tagliata seasoned to perfection that you then cook on the soapstone. Short wine list but with very interesting wines. We had the bruciata di bolgheri. They tell me the dessert is very good... but I didn't have any more room. Highly recommended

The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, as is evident right from the focaccia with antipasti. Generally, almost all the traditional first courses are covered: panigacci, sgabei, tordelli. But from what I was recommended, the meat is second to none, the undisputed star. You might say, "Thank you, we're in Tuscany," but it's not always a given that everything is perfectly executed. The platter was truly touching, with its selection of various cuts; the idea of ​​letting the customer cook on lava stone is always very charming. The staff was on point and knowledgeable, as it got cold in no time, upon request, so they served another. The house wine was also excellent, a reminder of the interior, overwhelmingly vintage. Overall, it's recommended. Just be careful with the bill, which comes in at around €40 per person (appetizer, grilled meat shared by four, dessert, coffee, and liqueurs).

Il posto si presenta molto bello e fresco sulle colline tra carrara e luni. Il sabato sera è sicuramente da evitare. Posto estremamente affollato e servizio numericamente inadeguato per i coperti. La qualità del cibo è ottima, però 10 per un piatto di tortelli (10 tortelli) mi pare eccessivo considerato che il posto vorrebbe avere una vocazione da focacceria. Così come mi pare esagerato il costo di 5 euro per un dolce confezionato. Ulteriore disappunto per il menù e i prezzi non esposti. Non proprio indicato per vegani/vegetariani.

Abbiamo preso due menù focacce con affettati, verdure sott'olio, due pezzi di formaggio, stracchino e mezzo litro di vino. 50 euro. Niente di tipico che non si possa trovare da altre parti. Focaccia nella norma. Non ci tornerei perché niente di speciale, ma non abbiamo mangiato male ecco.

Cucina rustica secondo usanza locale. Focaccia con salumi e formaggi, pizze e rimarchevoli bistecche / tagliata. Sito ben tenuto e immerso nella natura: add-on gradito in estate. Prezzi un po' sopra la media per simili ristoranti.

Ristorante in una bella posizione panoramica, sulla qualità del cibo poco da dire, focaccia buona e carne di buona qualità. La mia recensione non è buona in quanto oltre ad alcuni problemi sul servizio( piatti arrivati con tempi sbagliati e con veramente troppa attesa) c’è stata poca chiarezza sulla “tagliata”. 50€ al kg pesata insieme all’osso che risultava essere almeno 1/3 del totale e comunque il peso non ci è stato comunicato. I dolci non valgono l’attesa e il costo, semplici e solo alcuni fatti da loro. In relazione a questo il prezzo è stato veramente troppo alto.

We had dinner here and the two of us had water, a Coke, an appetizer for two (€18), a steak (€65), and a dessert. €115... The waiters were very kind, but the price was insane. The meat was nothing special and ridiculously priced, the dessert was terrible, and the appetizer was paltry for the price. Four types of cured meats, two slices each, two cheeses (literally two types in two tiny pieces), and pitted olives thrown away. I forgot about the fried mushrooms for €15. I've never eaten such terrible, undercooked mushrooms. We won't be returning.
