If you happen to be going through Luverne, Alabama and feel a little hungry, try stopping at Taters. The food is good. Everyone is friendly, and if you like an atmosphere that will bless you, this is the place. I had one of the best breakfasts ever. Eat and be blessed!

Great food!! Took my mom to breakfast and brought food home. Look at this plate! Pancakes are huge! Coffee is delicious for those coffee drinkers. I got the home fries!!

Told Yelp to find a Mom and Pop option for breakfast and boy did Laverne, AL deliver! The sweetest people you ever met and you knew you were in the south as 90% had on camouflage. We had a delicious breakfast then headed home to Indiana. Would highly recommend and will be adding that to our stop for Spring Break! We loved it!

Update: We returned for breakfast. I had enough food to feed a family on my plate! It was delicious. This is the best breakfast value in town. If you haven't tried the breakfast, you are really missing something special. Delicious food, enormous portions, friendly service and an amazing value. I had the pulled pork special with Mac n cheese and Cole slaw. The pork was excellent, the slaw was also great. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken wrap and fries. The place was not too crowded for a Friday lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Don't Miss Out on the Delicious Food at Tater's! Tater's Restaurant in Luverne is definitely worth the visit. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. I had a Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap that was absolutely delicious, and the wrap didn't fall apart despite being loaded up with delicious ingredients! The French Fries were also perfect. My wife had the Pulled Pork and was raving about it all day - definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, Tater's is an amazing restaurant and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for some great local food!

We were traveling Michiganders headed toward spring break and this served as the perfect, relaxing, home-style breakfast place right after driving through the night. They had good options for kids and generous portions. Get the grits bowl. It was a great combination of grits, eggs, sausage, and cheese and it was amazing! This place is definitely worth the stop.

We decided to try Taters to compare their fried chicken to Chicken Shack. Their menu offerings for lunch are similar to Chicken Shack but where they excel is Breakfast offerings along with Value. Chicken Shack chicken fingers are much better in taste and consistency. Taters makes their own French fries which are thin and need salt. Service was very good. Taters is a Go To place for local breakfast with Chicken Shack still the local Chicken King. The onion rings and fried green tomatoes were very good both which are not offered by chicken shack.
