Alchemy - Lynnfield

I stopped in and had an early dinner/late lunch. Ordered the roasted brussel sprouts and they were nicely charred and delicious. Along with the sprouts I had a Margarita, tasty..and the Hawaiian Burger an eclectic mix of 2 burger patties, lettuce , tomatoes , onion and now for the unusual toppings, Spam and Pineapple! I was curious and ate it just as served and the burger was good, definitely a good combo. The burger patties were of the "smash" variety and the only thing I'd say is they were more well done than I like. Overall the drinks, the food and the staff were great.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere of the place were great. We had a wonderful date, it is an elegant place, well located, easy parking and access. Highly recommended for dates, sharing with family or friends.

Very comfy feel inside. Enough space between tables, walkways between bar and bathroom, enough division between seating areas to give you a more intimate vibe for your party. The service was prompt and very kind, and kept us updated if something got caught up in the kitchen or drink order. The sushi was of surprisingly good quality, down to the freshness of the ginger. The plating and generous portions were really appreciated by our crowd.

I’ve been coming to Alchemy pretty regularly over the past few years. It’s conveniently located near Whole Foods and the Lynnfield stores so I love coming here for a bite to eat after some shopping. The food is always solid, I love trying the specials but the bang bang cauliflower is a recurring favorite along with the sushi and steak tips entree. There are also great mocktails (but also great cocktails for those partaking in alcohol). The service is friendly and attentive — the general manager noticed our table was wobbly and without us asking, pulled out a wobble wedge to fix it. Great friendly service, convenient spot for a quick lunch or fun dinner party.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere! The staff is incredibly friendly. My server, Paloma was very pleasant and attentive. I will most definitely be coming back!

Celebrated my mother’s 85th birthday at Alchemy. Amazing food and drinks. A special shout out to our server Valentina who treated my mom like a queen.

I went in between lunch and dinner. It was steady but not overly busy. It was a great atmosphere. The manager and host that waited on me were both so friendly.

Great location with an upbeat and vibrant atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great seating set up and interior decor. Food was decent. Not bad but also not the best. We had the udon noodles and tuna poke bowl. It was decent but could use a little more flavor.

I was told there was no tables, but counted 10 empty ones. Then she said I can sit you there but you have to be done within 1½ hours. My waitress didn't seem to care about us. The food was awesome.

My food runner westin was very kind and made sure everything was good with me and my crew. Great kid, very nice and a good kid👍.

Food was very fresh and delicious, and service was so friendly and attentive, we had an overall great experience. Will definitely be returning!

Went with my wife to enjoy eating outside. We found the table to be way too hot as it was directly in the sun. Asked our server if it would be possible to move to a table in the shade and he moved us immediately. Service was top notch! Our server Kieran was attentive and friendly. Greeted us as if we were family. Took our order and was fast, yet never felt rushed. Literally every time he came out to serve another table he checked on us. We even overheard the table next to us commenting on how good he was. Food was amazing!! All in all a fantasy evening!

I have been here a few times before, but I was here the other day with some girlfriends. Jimmy was our server and he was fabulous! Very attentive and personable. I wasn’t going to get a drink but he really sold me on an espresso martini and I’m so glad he did because it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Kudos to the bartender. I had the sweet potato roll and it was great. My friends got other various sushi rolls and they said they were awesome. Will def be back soon.

Alchemy never disappoints! The food, service, and ambience are perfect for any day of the week. Michelle is always attentive and provides amazing service at the bar. The staff and manager are attentive to any special requests when it comes to your meal. I would highly recommend the buffalo chicken dip.

I went to Alchemy on my birthday and they took really good care of me and my family! couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate between the food and the service! My server Brady took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Alchemy was amazing. the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter, Almostapha, was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. He was super respectful and a great waiter. Definitely recommend and will be back! Great prices too!

Food here is always delicious and great quality. Such a nice date night atmosphere. Our server Brady was exceptional and made sure everything was to our liking. Can’t wait to come again!

My oysters were great. They taste like they were very fresh. I also had seaweed salad and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Everything came out exactly the way I asked for it. The waitress did a great job. She was very attentive

The place was really beautiful inside the food was really good the prices were medium the portions were reasonable. But the staff was not good. I walked in, and they asked me if I had a reservation told me it'd be a 45-minute wait. I said I would wait. I ended up sitting at the bar, and the waitress was unfriendly and emotionless. Now, mind you, there were a lot of empty seats in the place , but they made it sound like they were packed with reservations. I want to say it was around 8:00 p.m. I sat at the bar for less than 20 minutes, and the place cleared out there were a lot of tables open, yet a lot of people walked out because they had made them wait 45 minutes. I felt like the staff was not accommodating the people walking in and getting as many people seated as possible to make the owner money. I was also asked if I wanted to stay on the list for a table, and I told the girl, "No, I'll stay here at the bar 45 minutes later." I got a text for the table. Yet, there were many tables that were empty for over 30 minutes until they texted me. The girl was literally behind me. I turned around and told her, "Are you still texting me I told the girl to take me off the list. She said oh you don't want a table I said I just finished eating all my food, which was sitting in front of me. And then I wasn't even finished with my food and the bartender started handing me boxes to pack my food also she gave everybody at the bar glass of water except for me. So the food was good and saved this review, but the staff is not there to make real money for the owner. The owner should reconsider their staff or maybe get them some training. Very unaware of the customers and what is going on in the restaurant.

I have been several times. The location and food are lovely. You have to try the Mexican street fries, they were surprisingly delicious. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is very nice, lively but you have space. Worth checking out.

Had a most pleasant lunch at Alchemy and enjoyed my meal and time there very much. We had a nice waitress who was excellent. The poutine was great and the corn chowder was exceptional. Very glad to have visited and will again.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Wasn’t able to sample any of the appetizers but the sandwiches we got were pretty good. Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

As always the first thing I look for at any restaurant is if they bring you water when you sit. Well here they did and she even brought two cups with straws and lids for the kids so they pay attention to that. Everyone in the party loved their food. I had eaten a late lunch so I was too full to order dinner but everything did look good and I do wish I could have ordered food to try. Maybe next time. I only got a dessert to try. The apple crisp, which was ok but a little dry for me. When I ate it with the ice cream it comes with it was a lot better. But when I finished the ice cream I couldn't finish the apple crisp. I also ordered a tea and asked for some Splenda and she forgot the Splenda and when I asked again she just brought me a couple of packs and I had to use my knife to stir. So not a perfect experience with that . All in all, a nice place, not the best dessert, but I will be getting some food next time.

If your a seafood lover then i'm sure you will enjoy this place. The menu isn't for everyone so if you have children this may not be a place for them. Though they do have a children menu. 🤷‍♂️ The quality of food that comes out is great. They seem to try to perfect every dish that leaves the kitchen. Service was great.

Food was ok. We ordered medium steak tips ,it came out "raw -raw". Food was ok.

A good verity of food and drink, also our bartender/server, was great. I like their Alchemy spritz cocktail, calamari, cod sandwich, and flan (was one of the best I have ever had), sprinkled with coarse salt. Great place to hang out with friends, but I wouldn't go there with young children and wouldn't call it suitable for a romantic date.

Not bad for the burbs, but the music is so loud and intrusive.

I experienced a concerning start. When I called to revise my reservation, earlier in the day, I was left on hold for 15 mins. as the young woman shared that she did not have the authority to update a reservation. I hung up, called back. I spoke with "Sharon" who was more than apologetic and assured me it was not an issue to add another person and child and added that she would be working throughout the day into the evening should there be a question. Upon arrival, we were assigned to two high top tables. This was unacceptable for the "four seniors" in our party. We waited for a table. I asked for "Sharon". In introducing myself to Sharon, she explained the staffing shortage and jumped into action with professionalism and tact, clearing, cleaning and setting up the table for our party. We were seated comfortably twenty minutes later. Big thanks to Sharon! Everyone enjoyed the "Pub Style" food, drink and service.

My family and I came in on a Sunday night. Our service was great, I forget his name, might have been Fred or something, he was a sweetheart. Surf sushi roll was great but the chicken pasta special was salty while also being flavorless. Disappointing. Everything was fine except we noticed that the brunette lady with glasses was being very rude to the employees. Yelling awful things while we were trying to eat. Felt bad for the kid workers. Overall pretty good!

We've been going here for a year or so, we still do from time to time. Food and service quality have fluctuated. Our daughter always orders fries in every restaurant we go to. The Truffles fries at Alchemy is one of the fries that she would really eat and we all love it too. You can really taste the Truffle, it also has a good texture and crunch. We basically go there for the Truffle fries for her and the Sticky Asian Pork Ribs for my FIL. But the quality of both has changed for months now, the Truffle fries taste more like just a Parmesan fries instead of Truffle; and the Pork Ribs that use to be fall off the bone, soft but perfect grilled, now half the time it looks more burnt and not fall off the bone anymore. Not sure if it just so happen? But it happens more than twice; 1st time we mentioned it they gave us extra Truffle oil, which they obliged. 2nd time they took it off our tab. 3rd time we kinda didn't bother much coz we ordered a lot of other food. 4th time we mentioned it again and not only that could barely taste the parmesan as well, they apologized and told the chef, that's it. We've been ordering the Truffle fries their for so long and every visit, we all know how it use to taste because we would all have it when we eat there and sadly it's just not the same anymore.

We used to go to Alchemy when it was in Gloucester and it was a favorite of ours so we thought we would give this location a try. We arrived at 6:15 on a Thursday night and we were seated at our table quickly. This is unfortunately where the speediness ended. After a 20 or so minute wait our server finally arrived to take our drink and app order. We struggled to get her back to order dinner and once we did, only then did we learn that they were not serving sushi that night. That would have been excellent information from the get go. We learned that she was serving only our table in this section, plus the outside and another section. On this evening they were understaffed. To her credit, she managed to stay upbeat and cheerful despite being pulled in 10 directions. The food was decent although the mac n cheese could be skipped. Good vibe, decent food, they just need to staff accordingly.

Loved the service, the vibe and the plating. The menu is awesome, appetizing, trendy, and eclectic. More seasoning and oomph and you guys are there! Everything from the chicken to the baked fish to the raw sushi was really lacking in just a little bit of salt, butter, lemon, anything to brighten it up. Thank you for dinner!

We were a party of four on a Saturday at 1:00pm. The hostess asked if we had reservations and no we did not. She then asked IF she seats us can we be out by 3:00pm because they have a ton of reservations starting at 3:00pm. Keep in mind the restaurant was not busy. After she sat us about 20 to 30 minutes she sat two different parties of four, and yes I got up and asked both parties if they had reservations or were told they needed to be out by 3:00. Their response on both questions was no. That one question from the unprofessional hostess has made my decision to not return. It’s unfortunate, because the food was very good!

Don't order Margarita unless you would like to get diagnosis of diabetes, way too sweet. Chicken tenders are fake chicken not really good ones. Food just below average.

We had reservations for New Years Eve. We figured it would have been busy but quite the opposite. Service was very slow and it appeared that only few waitstaff were working. Staffing shortage? There was six of us and unfortunately, two orders were incorrect. The waitress said she would bring the items that were requested (Brusell Sprouts) but they never came. A friend and I ordered the steak tips. They hardly had bourbon sauce on them, they were very tough, the mashed potatoes had a dry skin on them, probably from sitting under a heat lamp so long. We were comped a desert for the error but none of us touched the banana type desert as it was dreadful. We are huge fans of Maggie's Farm and they appear to be the owners of this location but this is not even close to the quality of this location. There was a large party to our rear that cleared out shortly after we arrived but it was never cleared. I suspect because there was such a wait for the food they were also down kitchen personnel. There were three couples and we spent around 165 per couple. The Salmon was also over cooked for two of the other dishes served at our table.

BLT was one of the worst. I sent it back because the bacon wasn’t cooked the first time. It was just so stingy, lots of fat… didn’t even eat it. Wouldn’t go back and I had to pay for this garbage. Plus it’s very slow

Waited 45 minutes to almost an hour to order. Waitress just kept walking past us. Service was extremely poor. - Food was fair. Most of my sandwich was bread. - They also have part of the room torn up for some reason. It looks like a construction zone so atmosphere was not the best. Otherwise the dining g room is pleasant. — Will not be going back.
