A rainy day in the Luino valley inspired me to take a trip to our mountains, bobsleigh in hand, and off towards Forcora. The first thing I do is go to lunch at the restaurant at the foot of the ski lift. Once inside, you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and a clean, tidy environment. Once the menus are brought and we choose our food, we wait a few minutes and the dishes arrive immediately. I try the polenta tart with porcini mushrooms, which is incredible, followed by a delicious risotto with gorgonzola mushrooms and a devastating porcini powder. Trying is believing! Then after lunch, we dedicate ourselves to some fun in the snow with the bobsleigh; unfortunately, the ski lift was closed due to the lack of snow. Highly recommended

When you want to spend a day outdoors and enjoy all the benefits that only the mountains can offer, including snow, without traveling long distances... La Forcora is paradise! Wonderful scenery, delicious food, helpful and courteous staff. Today I also ate a truly unique sgallettata...excellent polenta and top-quality meats. Well done guys, my compliments. Couldn't ask for more!!!

Beautiful property located at the foot of the Forcora ski lift! A welcoming atmosphere, friendly owners and staff, and excellent food! From there, a short walk leads to the Alpine Cross, and there are several trails to explore!

The restaurant's location, close to a convenient and spacious parking lot and at the entrance to numerous beautiful mountain trails overlooking Lake Maggiore, is an added bonus, in addition to the tasty and inviting dishes on offer. The friendly staff rounds off the experience and invites you to stop by for a day of true relaxation. Highly recommended.

Ottima accoglienza, gerente simpatico e un ottimo tagliere. Prezzi molto contenuti. Altro pregio è anche la zona con i suoi sentieri. La valle della Veddasca è da visitare sia dalla parte Svizzera che Italiana. Buona camminata e buon ristoro.

I liked this new management. We were lucky enough to go there on August 16th, so after the August 15th hustle and bustle had passed. The owners were courteous and helpful, the atmosphere was pleasant as usual, and the food was good, with a good variety of interesting dishes. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return.

A wonderful, unexpected Easter Monday. I went to this refuge after making a reservation two hours in advance. We immediately felt at home; the service was excellent and very kind, making us feel right at home. The interesting menu, featuring hare, lamb, and delicious beef, was delicious. We're very satisfied and will definitely return.

A location to revitalize... the Forcora ski area in the province of Varese, a beautiful, little-known pre-Alpine region that was once a popular holiday destination. The refuge is certainly a wonderful place to visit, even just to enjoy polenta and venison, or one of the other options offered by the owner. The landscape in Forcora offers a beautiful view of the province. The 45-minute drive is well worth it.

Mi sono recato oggi in compagnia della mia compagna ed un'amico dopo una passeggiata tranquilla sopra Maccagno. Locale incantevole e atmosfera montagnina, siamo stati accolti subito dal personale il quale ci ha fatto subito accomodare al tavolo, nonostante fossimo senza prenotazione e la sala era quasi totalmente occupata. Ho buttato un'occhiata ai tavoli vicini per vedere i piatti e le pietanze (primi piatti e spezzatini con polenta davvero invitanti ed abbondanti nelle porzioni). Abbiamo optato per due primi piatti di tagliatelle e un piatto di cervo con polenta. Le pietanze devo dire che erano davvero ottime e cucinate divinamamente, unica pecca se voglio essere sincero ... le porzioni, sinceramente erano la metà confronto gli altri tavoli intorno. Sia la pasta che lo spezzatino. Comunque tutto sommanto due primi, un secondo 2 bottiglie d'acqua 2 caffè per un totale di € 48,50. Tutto sommato visto il luogo e la genuinità dei piatti direi positivo.

Historic Forcora refuge, about 40 minutes from Lake Maggiore. Friendly staff. Very good local cured meats and cheeses. Prices are a bit high, especially for the quantity.

A great place to have lunch after a hike in the mountains. It offers a lovely view (not great, due to the trees facing Lake Maggiore), but it's also a great place for those who enjoy lunch in the sun, especially when you want to be outdoors.

Honestly, I didn't like it. The written menu is inviting, but what you get at the table is something else entirely. Penne amatriciana/wild boar is nothing more than pasta with tomato sauce and slices of (I don't know) wild boar salami. Purple gnocchi are tasteless. "Local" cold cuts: salami Milano and Bologna (I don't know). Nice waiter. Anyway, I WON'T be back.
