Estuvimos en la barra de La Primera y la experiencia fue excelente. Probamos su mítico pincho de tortilla de patatas, que estaba espectacular, además de los buñuelos de bacalao y la pluma fileteada, todo muy bueno y bien presentado. El ambiente del restaurante es elegante, acogedor e íntimo, perfecto tanto para picar algo como para una comida más tranquila. El trato de los camareros fue muy amable y profesional, lo que hizo que la visita fuera aún más agradable. Un sitio totalmente recomendable en plena Gran Vía.

Fuimos para cenar y hemos tenido muy buena experiencia, hay muchos camareros y siempre muy atentos. Pedimos pincho de tortilla que nos ha encantado, unos pimientos rellenos y de plato principal jarrete de cerdo que se deshacía la carne de lo tierna que estaba, eso sí, mucha cantidad, mejor compartirlo. De postre es imprescindible pedir tarta de queso, con el punto de cremosidad perfecto.

I’m soo glad to have to eat very good spanish tortilla! Its just tastes amazing… the one with the tuna filling also became my boyfriend’s favorite. But anyway, had to give a 4star for the food because apparently the bread was super hard and rubbery…. I got a feeling that its a bread from the previous day or even worse 2 days ago.. 😅 anyway still would come back for the tortilla!

My dining experience at La Primera (Santander location) was absolutely fantastic, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Marcos, who served me throughout the meal. His English and Spanish are both incredibly fluent, making communication completely seamless as a foreign traveler – he patiently answered all my questions and offered spot-on recommendations that truly exceeded my expectations. The dishes he suggested were all incredible: the Arroz negro (squid ink rice) was rich in flavor with perfectly chewy grains, the Merluza de Rula (cod) was tender and juicy, and the Russian salad was a delightful surprise, refreshing and perfectly balanced to complement the seafood. The restaurant has a stylish dark industrial vibe with greenery accents, and it stays open until 1 AM, making it a great spot for late-night dining. However, it’s important to note that the kitchen has limited operating hours, and there was a long line of people waiting when we finished our meal. I highly recommend booking in advance or arriving early to avoid disappointment. From the delicious authentic Cantabrian cuisine to Marcos’ professional and attentive service, every aspect of the experience was top-notch. If you’re looking for incredible local food in Santander, this is a must-visit – 5 stars without hesitation!

For who looking for great food in Madrid you have to try this place! One of the best restaurants in the city with amazing variety. Everything on the bill we’ve tried before and this time it tasted even better! The staff were super friendly and the cheesecake was legendary I can honestly say it competes with Alex’s cheesecake! This visit was a sharing meal for two (and we’re big eaters) ¡Hala Madrid! 😂 You’ll need a reservation but we booked just 30 minutes in advance and it worked fine. And if you don’t like it message me, I’ll take the blame! 😂🏃🏻‍♂️

Went here for lunch on a Saturday around 2:30 (early for Spanish times) and it was already quite packed. We did not have a reservation and yet they managed to squeeze us in somewhere for an hour which we greatly appreciated. The service was excellent and professionally friendly. We ordered 2 starters and a main to share and it was more than enough. The cod fish fritters were absolutely delicious but my personal highlight were the peppers filled with cod and mushrooms in a tomato based sauce!! 100% recommend. We had the black rice with sea food as a Main. Potion size is generous. Since it was a hot day we only had water but the wine menu looked great and I cannot wait to come back and try that out too! Prices are medium to high for Spain but still very affordable and definitely justified. When we left there was a queue outside so I do recommend to reserve a table

What a fantastic experience! The place itself is beautiful and more upscale. On our last night in Madrid, we were looking for a fancier dinner and chose this restaurant based on our hotel's recommendations We each ordered a different hake entrée and shared the patatas bravas and cheese plate. I appreciated their creative spin on the patatas bravas and loved the moistness of the hake. My favorite was definitely the cheese plate. It was a cheese truffle "pie" fusion with a whipped texture and accompanied with honey and olive oil sauces - it was an incredible combo.

One of our favorite restaurants in Madrid. Getting a table here is somewhat difficult, so make a reservation advance. Situated right on Gran Via, the place is big (you need to climb up stairs so not wheelchair accessible). We love the buñuelos there, they are so crunchy. The seafood linguini was amazing and so was the bacalao. The arroz con verduras wasnt too bad as well. The service was fast and since we had a reservation we were given a table right away.

The environment is excellent, and the service is also good. It's best to book in advance. The dishes have some absolute improvements and innovations, offering rich flavors and textures. The squid ink rice is very creamy, and the tofu cheese green pepper shrimp is delicious. Three dishes and one dessert are enough for two people.

Initially drawn in for the tortilla, we ended up exploring a variety of dishes, and each one was a delight—especially when paired with the fantastic Galician wine. The staff were on point with their recommendations, creating a superb dining experience. The ambiance is spot on for a laid-back lunch date – quiet, clean, just perfect. Everything about this place was great!! We had a very good experience here and enjoyed all of our dishes. There were some really unique and exciting appetizers. Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant and high quality. They do charge additional for the bread, and they didn't mention that, but it was only $2. Overall, a great place and we enjoyed it. We recommend the oxtail potatoes and the meatballs!

El sitio está bien, la comida está buena. En nuestro caso lo que menos nos gustó fue como se hizo el servicio bastante apresurado por quitar platos y cosas de la mesa. Nos traían bastante platos a la vez lo que hacía que en algunos casos cuando ibas a comer otro plato ya estaba medianamente frío. Nos pareció un poco caro para la relación calidad/precio, pagamos cada uno 42€.

Primera vez que visitaba este restaurante, y gran sorpresa! El ambiente es agradable, con bastante gente, pero se está muy cómodo. El personal, súper correcto. Me habían recomendado el pincho de tortilla, y la verdad es que estaba riquísima y jugosísima, como tiene que ser. También opté por el pastel de queso con trufa y miel, y me maravilló. Es delicioso, fino, con sabores que contrastan... exquisito. Totalmente recomendable, quien no lo visite, no sabe lo que se pierde!!

De primeras la atención no es del todo profesional, subes las escaleras y no hay nadie para recepcionar (de ahí las 4 estrellas). El diseño del local es de 10, precioso y tranquilo. La tortilla está buenísima, un 10. La tostada y el cruasán plancha recomendable. Y el café calentito y un detalle que tengan leche de avena. En resumen hemos desayunado muy bien y a un buen precio. Muy recomendable.

Primera visita: de la cocina poco o nada que decir ; platos muy ricos en cantidades correctas a buen precio (pedimos 1/2 raciones ; ensaladilla, pudding cabracho TOP DE TOP, menestra ,calamares fritos y arroz negro para terminar) desde mi punto de vista el arroz negro lleva mucha salsita encima y es mas un rissoto que un arroz de los nuestros AUN ASI MUY RICO!! En cuanto al servicio en sala.....un poco mas decepcionados!!!mucho personal en sala pero la prestacion en la mesa no es lo esperado de un lugar como este!

Producto de calidad en el centro de Madrid. Raciones correctas y muy ricas. Su famosa tortilla cumplió expectativas. La ensaladilla y el tartar de aguacate estaban muy buenos y las croquetas me transportaron a la infancia. El flan, uno de los mejores que he comido nunca por no decir el mejor. El restaurante es agradable, la atención es estupenda. Quizá el único punto negativo es la cercanía entre mesas. Precio acorde al sitio y localización.

Pertenece a un grupo con sello de garantía y se nota en la profesionalidad y en lo "correcto" que está absolutamente todo. No es una cocina que pretenda inventar la rueda, pero lo que hacen, lo hacen muy bien. Lo mejor de la experiencia: * Relación calidad-precio imbatible: Para estar situados en la misma Gran Vía, el ticket final es sorprendentemente razonable. Es difícil comer así de bien en esta zona sin que la cuenta se dispare. * Producto nacional de diez: Desde las Anchoas del Cantábrico (24,00 €) hasta el Pincho de Tortilla (4 unidades por 15,50 €), todo tiene el sabor que esperas de un buen restaurante español. * Imprescindibles: El Tartar de Novilla (21,00 €) y las Croquetas (21,00 €) son apuestas seguras para compartir. * Final dulce: Tienen una de las mejores selecciones de postres de la zona. Nos sentaron en una mesa alta, sin mantel y fuera de la zona del restaurante. Al estar como en el hall del restaurante subía todo el humo de los fumadores y cuando acudían clientes con su reserva hubo momentos de aglomeración en esa zona hasta que los sientan. La comida está bien. Nos gustó lo que comimos pero sin destacar ningún plato en particular. Tardaron bastante en servirnos. No disponen de menús. Para el precio que tiene este restaurante un mantel o unas servilletas un poco más decente son de agradecer, me recordaban a las de mi pueblo. No tomamos postre ni nada porque tardaron mucho en servirnos, estábamos ahí como olvidados, la camarera no fue muy agradable, es como si la molestase atendernos, por eso y por la incomodidad que he contado antes decidimos irnos sin tomar nada más. Short Summary First: good presentation, alright food, mediocre service, and check your receipt before paying. If you’re on a date or a tourist, it’s alright. The presentation of the food is excellent. The taste is good, not great. It has the air of pretension, rather than homey, hearty tastes. Service seems like it’d be better if you speak Spanish, the service in English was a little lackluster. I noticed an extra charge for a drink I did not order. I pointed it out and they took it out (without that much apology). Best case it was a sloppy mistake, worst case they’re trying to get another buck out of a foreigner. Either way, you kind of expect more from a slightly nicer place, no?

This was the worst food I have ever tasted. The staff were clueless and ignorant. It must be the worst place in Madrid and I would never return.

Que ya se sabía de antemano que si comes en Gran Vía, no es “barato”, pero hay lugares en los que no te tratan como a un ignorante… pagar 5.15€ por una caña, 21€ por una ración escasísima de rabas y otro tanto por un tartar… se te queda cara de tonto cuando ves el tamaño de las raciones y los desproporcionados precios. El pincho (pinchito) de tortilla a 4.80€ (que sí, muy rico) pero para de contar. El sablazo es monumental. La calidad del producto no se discute, pero sin duda hay millones de mejores opciones en los alrededores. Lo peor de todo es que el camarero te pregunta “si vas a dejar propina” y si dices que no, se indigna y te contesta diciendo “ya sabías que es caro”….

SCAMMERS. Simply don’t go. They will scam you in every way possible. Giving you bread until you ask them to stop and charging it. And adding a 10% TVA while it’s written in the menu that it is included! And I didn’t talk about how bad the service was and how we got starters THEN our drinks and main course, all in less than 30 minutes… To avoid at all cost.
