Vine a celebrar mi aniversario con mi pareja, y todo ha sido maravilloso. La comida es espectacular y la experiencia de sentarse en barra no pueden perdérsela. El servicio es excelente.

La experiencia fue inmejorable! Nos atendió Ana y nos aconsejó super bien en todo momento, en cuanto a cantidad y recomendaciones de la carta. Para 2 personas, pedimos 2 de sus famosos taquitos, el pez crunch limón y uno especial de temporada, gambas en tempura, gyozas de costilla, makis y 2 niguiris. También las limonadas de mango y maracuyá que estaban buenísimas. La calidad-precio nos pareció excepcional, ya que pagamos unos 30€ por persona. No puedo recomendar mas este sitio, nos encantó y volveremos 100%

Cinco estrellas se quedan cortas. Ichikani ofrece una experiencia gastronómica increíble. El balance de sabores es perfecto y la presentación de los platos es arte puro. Si buscas comida japonesa de alta calidad con un toque especial, este es el lugar indicado. 10/10 El roll de atún huevo es bestial, el pad thai para compartir sorprende y renta mucho. Una experiencia deliciosa en Ichikani. Productos de gran calidad y un local muy acogedor, con la posibilidad de degustar los platos en barra, lo que hace la experiencia aún más auténtica. La comida japonesa está muy bien elaborada y los dumplings estaban exquisitos, sin duda imprescindibles. Muy recomendable si buscas japonés de calidad en Madrid.

Fuimos sin reserva y nos dieron dos sitios en barra para 1:15h. La comida espectacular, muy muy recomendable y la atención de Jenny muy buena y simpática. Pedimos las gyozas de pato (fabulosas), rolls de Ebi Crunch (muy muy bueno) y Mr Salmon (bueno) y handrolls que son su especialidad de Atún y Huevo e Ichikani (ambos muy muy buenos). Para finalizar, yo quería probar 1 nigiri de salmón noruego con limón y por “la demora” (realmente solo tardaron 5 minutos) nos regalaron otro demora cortesía. Muy recomendable y muy buena relación calidad precio.

Desde el momento que entras el trato es espectacular, Mary te recibe con una linda sonrisa, Carlos y Edwin te atienden de maravilla, te hacen muy buenas recomendaciones del menú, y el chico de sushi Luis me preparo un handroll, el ebi crunch, súper recomendado. El chico de barra Elvis, prepara el mejor Lychee Martini que he probado. La experiencia es 1000/10 los recomiendo.

Restaurante Ichikani totalmente recomendable. La comida es muy top, con producto de gran calidad y una elaboración impecable. Sentarse frente a la barra es toda una experiencia: ves el trabajo en directo y se disfruta aún más de cada plato. Mención especial para Edwin, que nos atendió de maravilla. Muy profesional, cercano y con un conocimiento del producto excelente. Mi consejo es dejarse asesorar por él, porque acierta plenamente con las recomendaciones.

We had the best dinner ever! And thanks to Jenny, it felt special. She helped me to surprise my friend's birthday, too. She treated us with care and respect. The chefs are professionals and the food were very delicious, and the presentation was high-level. We will come back again and again.

Really nice ambiance. Didn’t do reservation but lucky we went early. Better to do reservation. The cocktails and mocktails are good and unique. Service is top! They ask you about allergies etc even before you tell them. Servers are really nice and attentive. Ordered the Creamy Ramen Pasta ans Bibimbap. Servings not that big take note. But they are unique and good. Nice ambiance to lounge, chill with friends, dinner date and even going alone

I ate here with my wife this evening. We’re both vegetarian and while the menu officially only lists a small number of things as vegetarian, we were hopeful that many of the other things in the menu could’ve made vegetarian. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The service was simply superb. We had messed up our reservation time due to getting confused between 8:30 pm and 1830 hours and reached 2 hours before our appointed time. They accommodated us by seating us at the sushi counter first and when we politely asked if we could be seated at a regular table instead, they kindly acceded. Kevin, the Captain, who met us at the entrance podium and discovered the issue with our reservation timing took great care of us during the entire meal. He took our order. Explained things to us and guided us through the menu and checked in on us many times. We really enjoyed the food. All the staff was wonderful. We haven’t had such a great time at a Japanese restaurant before. We would love to go back when we are in Madrid next.

We were ready for another cuisine while on our visit to Madrid. This restaurant was top notch perfect. I would have preferred a table over the sushi bar as we were plenty tired from the day, but u would t have passed up the food experience just for a table. As well, our server Jenny was excellent!

my boyfriend and I went to ichikani to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. we wanted to try everything on the menu but unfortunately that wasn’t in the budget. this was the best japanese food we’ve ever eaten - I’d definitely recommend the ebi crunch hand roll and the mr salmon sushi. I hope to return if ever I’m back in Madrid in the future. also I’d recommend sitting at the bar rather than a table so you can watch how it’s made!

This restaurant's experience was great. It had great sushi. Though I am not a fan of sushi, but I liked it there. It also had the greatest lotus ice cream cake I ever had. The staff were really helpful and also it is worth the trail to sit on the bar and see the sushi being prepared.

The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was awesome! Wagyu Roll (TOP) & Pork Belly (TOP) & Vieira (great) & Salmon (great) - the fish and meat were super fresh and well prepared. If I were to be picky picky: would recommend the improve the Aguila Foie Roll: although the anguila was awesome, I barely saw/tasted any of the foie gras (could add more foie for future). Also, the pasta ramen was super flavourful, however it was a bit salty for my taste (maybe put too much soya?). For desserts, we ordered the Lotus Ice Cream (I expected it to be super sweet, but it was just right - very good) & Matcha Mochi (the mochi was SO SO delicious - trust me); if you had to choose between the two, I would go for the mochi. Overall, everything we ordered was honestly great, I would say it’s the best Japanese restaurant so far in Madrid! I will def go again to sit in front of the chefs at the high tables. Well done Ichikani!

The restaurant offers two seating options: a standard area with round and square tables for larger groups, and a more intimate chef’s table setup in the center, where two chefs prepare the tasting menu in front of you. Unfortunately, the latter was reserved only for pairs. As for the food: • Hand Roll Atún con Huevo: A delicious bite with well-balanced flavors and perfectly marinated rice. ⭐️ 5/5 • Sashimi Sampler: A great way to try three different types of sashimi without ordering them separately — fresh and well-presented. ⭐️ 4/5 • Langostinos Roca: Crispy shrimp tempura with mayo sauce and a fresh salad base. A bit underwhelming in flavor. ⭐️ 3/5 • Miami Roll: The ponzu sauce truly elevated the dish — a standout roll. ⭐️ 4/5 • Salmón Noruego: Absolutely incredible! The texture was silky and rich, with a subtle buttery taste. ⭐️ 5/5 • Wagyu Nigiri: A must-try. I really loved the sushi here—super fresh, beautifully presented, and just really well done. Compared to Kabuki (which I reviewed a few months ago), Ichikani feels much more like my vibe. Kabuki is more of a special occasion kind of place, but Ichikani is somewhere I’d happily go more often—whether it’s for a nice dinner date with my boyfriend or a fun night out with friends. One thing I especially appreciated: they serve each piece of sushi individually, so you really get to enjoy every bite as it’s meant to be. The staff were also super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely going on my go-to list in Madrid.

Atención cuidada y personalizada. No nos gustó que nos dijeron que había que esperar 45 minutos y luego otra persona del grupo preguntó y nos dieron mesa casi inmediatamente. La comida muy buena salvo un par de cosas de las que pedimos, las gyoAs y los rolls de cerdo con salsa de cacahuete, esos personalmente no pude comerlos. El local está bien ambientado y llama la atención la disponibilidad de Listerine en los baños. No tiene 5 estrellas porque dos platos no nos gustaron, uno de los platos se equivocaron al traerlo y otro se olvidaron y hubo que reclamarlo.

Yesterday, we visited Ichikani in Madrid and were able to get a table without a reservation. We ordered several dishes; however, they were all served at the same time, which felt unusual and somewhat inconvenient, as there was limited space on the table. Our waiter did not speak English, but this was not an issue, as we were able to communicate effectively. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I truly enjoyed it. However, I would rate the food a 6/10, and I do not think I would return to the restaurant specifically for the food. The cocktails, on the other hand, were quite good.

the experience and customer service are noteworthy. the open concept seating at the bar is also an enjoyable experience. there’s something for everyone here; hand rolls, makis, and even warm dishes. the only reason they don’t get 5 stars is that on each of my visits, after trying the ramen, bibimbap, and the orange chicken, i can say the protein was scarce which really threw off the balance of the dish. otherwise, the flavor was on point!

This is a Japanese-style restaurant from an international chain, with a cozy interior and seating divided into a Japanese-style banquette bar area and the usual formal booth seating. The staff are very friendly and can provide service in both Spanish and English. We tried a variety of dishes and all of them were at least passable, my favorites were the sizzling scallop sushi and the Juicy Roll, the average price for one person is about 40 EUR for a full meal, but with the quality of the food and the quantity of the portions, it is not very affordable. This is an all-day Japanese restaurant, so if you're looking to meet up with friends or grab a quick bite, this is the place to visit, and since it's a chain restaurant, there's usually not too much of a problem with the flavor.

Ichikani welcomes guests with a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting high expectations from the moment you arrive. Service, however, lacks rhythm. During our visit, starters and main dishes were delivered simultaneously, overwhelming the table. When opting for an eight-course tasting, pacing is essential; presenting all plates at once diminishes both comfort and culinary intention. The menu leans heavily toward spicy flavours throughout, which is surprising given that diners are asked about food allergies and preferences—suggesting an attention to detail that is not fully reflected in execution. That said, the quality of the fish is exceptional, undoubtedly one of Ichikani’s strongest assets and a clear highlight of the experience. The cauliflower tempura, unfortunately, misses the mark. The accompanying sauce feels disconnected from the dish, resulting in an unbalanced pairing. Cocktails deserve special mention: beautifully presented, well-crafted, and visually striking, they add a refined touch to the overall experience. Verdict: Excellent ingredients and visual appeal, but the dining experience would benefit greatly from improved pacing and more nuanced flavour balance.
