The have like the best sourdough bread I‘ve ever eaten outside of germany. All meals look like from a commercial… And taste awesome! Service is super friendly. Definitely a five out of five!
We had a lovely breakfast here. We ordered the avocado toast with scrambled egg, the scrambled egg & Gruyère croissant, and an almond croissant. Everything was delicious, and the coffee was excellent. Carlos was incredibly kind and welcoming.
This review is from a french and it's a very good review. The croissant and pain au chocolat we had was just perfect, not industrial like in France in a lot of bakeries. And the soft-boiled eggs with the bread was amazing. Thank you ! 😍
Great place for breakfast. We were in Santa Monica and looking for a place to have breakfast. We found this nice looking place and wanted to give it a chance. I'm so glad that we did. We had the avocado toast and chocolate croissant each. Avocado toast was very flavorful, and I totally recommend it. And the chocolate croissant was the best I ever had, oh man. We were served by David and he was so kind and took very good care of us. The presentation of the food and coffee is also very aesthetic. There is also plenty of free parking spaces available nearby.
Le Pain Quotidien is an absolute gem! It's got this great, chill vibe and the staff are super friendly – they make you feel right at home. The food? Amazing! Everything comes out fast, but the quality is top-notch. You've got to try the smoked salmon omelette; it's so flavorful and hits the spot every time. And the latte with oat milk is the perfect pairing – creamy and just plain delicious. It's my go-to spot for a relaxed meal that never disappoints.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the quick stop even more enjoyable. The coffee was fantastic, smooth and rich, while the croissant was nothing short of a little slice of paradise, buttery and perfectly flaky.
There is a new chef in town! LPQ MDR has been a go-to for me for awhile, but recently, they have hired a new chef and the food tastes delicious and looks incredible. You can't go wrong with the mushroom and goat cheese omelet, smoked salmon omelet, chia seed pudding (with or without compote), oatmeal, avocado toast, any of the flatbreads or any of the baked goods/pastries. The service is always excellent and the team here is like family. During my last visit, David was hospitable and warmly greeted me upon entrance; David is a warm, wonderful person. Carlos was our extraordinary server; Carlos goes out of his way to ensure the food and service are to your satisfaction. Bassam, who has been a manager for years, is welcoming and exhibits great team leadership; it appears that he not only leads but is also part of the team working to ensure smooth bakery and restaurant operations. Cynthia is professional and courteous each time she answers the phone or responds to a request. Finally, Sharday is friendly, warm and welcoming, and it is always a delight to see and chat with Sharday. I highly recommend this LPQ!
Reliable source of good French inspired plates and pastries. Only 4 stars for food because the portions could be a bit bigger and they’re missing a key French ingredient on the menu: the Croque Monsieur. Otherwise breads and pastries are pretty good, as are their brunch dishes. Patio is baby and dog friendly. Staff is helpful and attentive.
The food and pastries and so yummy and fresh. Had the sweet potato breakfast bowl and it was delicious, highly recommend that for a healthy and yummy meal. I forgot the waiters name but he was awesome, the only one working the floor and he kept on top of everything and remained so nice and helpful.
I like their avocado toasts with salmon and Louis is amazing guy and also all stuff
A true neighborhood treasure rather stopping by for coffee and a pastry or sitting down for a mind-blowing, delicious breakfast. The ambiance is that of a corner Parisian cafe with the kindest, attentive staff. The food is off the charts with savory flavors. Hint, ask the server for recommendations. They provide excellent twists to the menu.
The best brunch! Very happy to have come here. I'm not usually into a sweet breakfast but the mini pancakes with berries and bananas were delicious. I could have these every day forever and I would be okay to do it. In terms of service - our waitress was very nice and helpful. She was serving everyone in the restaurant all alone, and was doing a great job. Wasn't long waits and she managed to keep checking in on us.

I had a wonderful experience at Le Pain Quotidien. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were kind and welcoming, creating a pleasant experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, nutritious and high quality, with standout dishes like the hearty lentil soup. The pastries were also very fresh and delicious, a great complement to the meal. Overall, it’s a place I’d definitely return to for both the food and the inviting ambiance at MDR

Our Favorite Breakfast Spot! Le Pain is hands down our favorite place for breakfast! Whether it’s just me, the kids, or our entire extended family, the experience is always wonderful—no matter the group size. The staff is consistently friendly, respectful, and welcoming, which makes every visit feel special. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. We truly enjoy every bite. My only small complaint is that the prices are on the higher side, which makes it more of an occasional treat than an everyday stop. Still, it’s worth it for the atmosphere, service, and quality. ❤️❤️❤️
Loved this little brunch spot! Love the rustic farmhouse vibes. Service is great and food was yummy as well! You gotta check this place out. Matcha latte was not so good tho.
Friendly service, but definitely a little slow for a place that is not too busy. Ambience is cute, they had light piano jazz playing when I visited. I got the matcha latte and mixed berry tart. Both were great. The matcha was whisked well, didn’t get any clumps of matcha powder. Thoroughly enjoyed the mixed berry tart— perfect level of butteriness and sweetness in the crust, berries were fresh.
Great service, food was okay overall. For drinks: Mimosas were crisp and refreshing, the right balance of juice and champagne! My GF got Chardonnay and she did not like it, could just be preference. For food: I got the croque madame (croque monsieur with egg) and it's good. My GF got the breakfast bowl which she said was amazing. My friend got a breakfast sandwich that he was not a fan of. I've eaten lunch from here before too, but more of a catered option for work meetings and it's pretty good too. This location had outside seating.
Service was fast. Good breakfast place
I’ve been here 3 times. The first time I was impressed with the food and the service. It was busy and our food came at a good time and it tasted good. Our server was friend but definitely busy. I left and recommended it to all my friends! The next two times, the restaurant was not as busy, we got coffee and croissants. The service wasn’t good and the croissants were stale both times. We asked to get them warmed up, because I didn’t mind but at least if they were warmed up they wouldn’t be as stale and the server seemed really annoyed by this request. I like the atmosphere so I really want to give this place another try, but I don’t know if I will. I’d recommend but also say to be aware that the service is sometimes good sometimes bad.
This is such a cute cafe with a great selection of food. Everything on the menu that I have tried has been so delicious and the service is always very quick and attentive. I have only come for breakfast/brunch so my favorite items are the breakfast sandwich and the avocado tomato omelette. They have great coffee and smoothie options. The bread is served with a really cute tray of different jams or spreads like nutella or hazelnut. It's one of my favorite parts of the meal. Easy street parking across the street or there is also a big lot you can park in and walk across.

This is the second time I went to this place. The first was a weekday and everything was fine. Yesterday (Sunday) I went for a brunch and unfortunately my espresso and juice arrived way before the food. By the time the sandwich arrived, I had finished both coffee and OJ. So 1 ordered another round which only arrived when I was done with my sandwich. They should improve the pace in the kitchen.
