Thursday night is Prime Rib night. We started at the bar for the two hours of happy hour. Two Lemon drops each and a glass of wine for our dinner at 7pm. Live music and grand prime prime to share was great tasty and delicious. We had a wonderful time and the staff was great! We had the popcorn shrimp and the hot fudge sundae for the Wednesday night dinner. Everyone was having fun dancing and enjoying themselves! Saturday is here with steak night. We shared the beef filet. Thick cut was tender and delicious. We had the popcorn shrimp to start. We love it! Some french fries to eat before getting the filet. Some Lemon drops and a glass of red wine for the filet. Great meal, entertainment and service! Now it's Friday night for BBQ and the ribs were wonderful. Just falling off the bone with plenty of sauce. Great Lemon drops during two happy hours. Kaeoke night. Great evening! Tonight, Thursday, we eat here for their prime rib night. We shared a grand prime rib dinner. The prime rib was rare as we requested. Tender and delicious. The vegetables were firm and tasted great. The popcorn shrimp starter was hot tender and had a great favor. A glass of wine each and we were in business. Nightly live music was a treat. We even danced later on. What more can we say about the wonderful Thursday night romantic dinner! We had a great experience at La Palapa restaurant. The food was good and the beef filet was tender and delicious. They made wonderful Mai Tais. We had two each. The sunset was perfect straight out from the restaurant. The staff was there for us with no problem service!

Great prime rib dinner, one of the best I've had. The meat was perfectly cooked medium rare, juicy, tender and delicious. It was pricey. The restaurant is right on the ocean with great views and sunsets.

We ate at your beautiful restaurant for Valentines Day. I had the Beef Wellington and my husband had steak. Our meals were absolute perfection! Excellent service as well.

La Palapa is simply fantastic. Amazing food and even better service, with a location and view to match! You cannot go wrong with their super nachos or fajitas. The ceviche is incredible and the guacamole is just perfect. Highly recommend the imperial shrimp if you're feeling a little extra. Top it all off with an excellent happy hour twice a day... Why would you want to go anywhere else?

Llegamos por la noche a media semana, cenamos muy rico y buen servicio. La comida llegó rápido. Nos faltó probar los postres, pero en otra vuelta los probamos. 😉✌🏼

Un ambiente muy agradable, los meseros muy atentos. Los postres buenísimos. Tienen hora feliz y las bebidas preparadas están deliciosas. Festejamos un cumpleaños y los meseros y el.quebtica la guitarra hicieron muy buen ambiente. Sin duda muy recomendable.

This was our second time here, and just like the first, we were not disappointed. The rib eye steaks were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and we are not big meat eaters. This was a worthwhile exception! We sat outside under the palapa with the Pacific waves crashing in front of us. Dreamy. Highly recommend. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Excellent, friendly service, definitely will be back.

Perfect restaurant for this resort. Menu is extensive and has traditional foods, plus a theme night menu. I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Their entertainers are varied and enjoyable. The chairs could be more comfortable.

Stopped in from the beach with the fam around 1230 local time. Not too busy and got a table with a beach side/ocean view. Service was great and timely. I had a fish bowl strawberry margarita that was made to Perfection. Chips and salsa for the table followed by tortilla soup. Soup was fantastic however the Portion was a little small. Ordered popcorn fish which was Mahi Mahi. Portion was more than I expected and nice size chunks for an appetizer. Atmosphere was amazing, ocean side in a covered palapa. Price i find was comparable to nearby establishments. Definitely worth stopping in

I wish I had taken photos of our food. We attended the Xmas dinner with friends. There were choices of three appetizers, four dinners, and four desserts. Each choice was beautifully plated and everyone said it was one of the very best meals they have had in Mazatlan. The service and ambiance were also stupendous. I can't wait to go back.

We came to try out this restaurant, as it was very close to our hotel north of the Golden Zone ("Zona Dorada") in Mazatlan. Upon entering the restaurant, we were welcomed by the cool breeze of the Pacific Ocean and the warm, friendly greeting of the hostess. We chose a table out under their palapa, overlooking the beautiful beach. The food was great and the drinks superb. The sunset was amazing! We will likely be coming back here again soon.

Excellent Resort Bar/Restaurant.. the service was impeccable. I took my boyfriend out deep sea fishing for his 50th birthday. We caught 11 mahi-mahi. brought them back and and ask the chefs to prepare some for dinner for us. they cooked it superbly. I gave three full fillets to each one of the chefs for doing such an excellent service. The guacamole was outstanding.

We ordered tacos gobernador and they were better than expected. We really recommend them. Also tried tacos Marlin and the mexican mixed dish. Very tasty but prices are a bit high for the location and quality.

Mi esposo pidió calamar y lo dejaron chicloso y duro, pidió de favor que si lo cocinaban un poco más y solo lo calentaron. 😬 Los meseros hablan inglés y había bastantes personas extranjeras. En general bien.

This is a review of the outside grass patio. Open Thursday to Sunday. My favorite is the shrimp pate. Who doesn't like shrimp and mayo. Lol. Had the marinated tuna on a tostada (beware-it has a kick) and the La Palapa-crab, shrimp and tuna on a tostada, and marinated frech shrimp aguacile, my complaint is that the La Palapa was over salted. So I'd give it a 3.5. All very fresh. Wait staff are wonderful.

Nice restaurant with a great view. Service was good. Happy hours are between 12 to 2 and 4 to 6. Only same drinks are for 2 for 1 not food. You can't order 2 different drinks with the same price under happy hour 2 for 1

I have been to this establishment twice. First time we had the prime rib, which was fantastic. Tonight was pasta night, I had spaghetti bolognese, another awesome meal. For dessert we had the hot fudge sundaes. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, with live music in the background. The service was very good. A definite go to when we come to Mazatlán, never disappoints.

The restaurant has a great vibe, lots of indoor seating and lots of room on the patio overlooking the beach. The servers and other workers are very nice as well! However, the food did not impress me. They have lots of lunch/dinner options yet only a few mexican options! I was expecting mexican food since this is at a resort in Mexico but that wasnt the case, they didnt even have spanish rice (red rice) which was a little disappointing for me as I am a mexican american and that's a must have at family meals. The chips are salsa were great though, with the salsa having a little spicy kick to it. Average food overall, friendly service (however very slow everytime to get the check) but I still ate there and enjoyed the food I did have

Awful service. I got the impression they don’t like “non-members” over priced and less than average quality of food. Drinks are strong and view is good- so I gave them the 2 stars

We have been staying here and dining at La Palapa for almost a week until we had the great misfortune of bumping into the restaurant director Lani Wooll. She completely ruined our otherwise great experience here. She displayed very disrespectful and rude behavior towards our party. Also, I would say the way she carries herself is very immature for her steeping age. We were told we couldn't even file a formal complaint with the office regarding this experience.

We previously had a few good experiences at La Palapa but not today. 2 happy hour periods 12 to 2 pm and 4 to 6 pm. The drinks were good ,its difficult to mess up wine and bottled beer. The wine was some what over priced at 186 pesos for a glass. So here is what not to order. Taco salad .We aksed the waiters of it was good a he enthusiasticicky said yes very.Wrong. When think of taco salad what comes to mind is romain, hamburger meat,avacado,tomato,cheese,sour cream in a taco bowl. La Palapa taco salad is romain, bits of tomato broken taco pieces and a bottle of ranch dressing on top.Yuck. We also ordered Buffalo chinken strips that were over cooked and dry. When we questioned the food we were told thats how we do it here. Well if thats as good as ot gets we will not be back.Adiose.

Terribly over priced Sunday brunch with limited selections. In addition we had to find our own utensils and they had no record of our reservation made 3 days ago. That is our last brunch there but we will continue to enjoy dinner there. Our waiter of many years, Ishmael, is wonderful as usual. Ask for him if you have dinner here.

Food is pretty good but happy hour is a bit of a scam. Got 2 drinks during happy hour ( 2 for 1 drinks) 1 Pina colada and 1 margarita, both are the same price on the menu. Waiter asked if we wanted 2 of each or just 1 of each. We said 1 of each. Got the bill and we were charged full price for each drink. When we got the bill we were told that you can't mix the drinks even if they are the same price. The waiter never mentioned this when we ordered.
