Buen lugar, buenos precios
The place is very pleasant, although the service is not very good because the young ladies don't approach the diners very much to see if they need anything.
Good, nice and cheap, perfect for get-togethers with college friends, and the best part is that it's 2 for 1 every day
The pizza was delicious! The cheese they use melts so well that when you take the pizza off, you can see the strands clinging to it, resisting the urge to let your pizza out 🍕 The atmosphere is pleasant, ideal for going with friends, and they give you snacks while you wait for your pizza 👌🏻
The place is located right outside the Copilco metro station. It's clean and they have all the necessary health and safety measures in place. The prices are reasonable, the pizzas are delicious and a good size. They offer complimentary snacks as an appetizer. The service is efficient, and the approximate cost per couple is $250.
Is the pizza good? Honestly, no. Is the place nice? Not exactly. Is it a good place to grab a few beers and eat after leaving UNAM? Yes. And that's all it needs to be.
In the midst of a long wait, Pizzeria Copilco comes to the rescue with something it always delivers. This afternoon we decided to go to Pizzas y Parrilladas. As every Friday afternoon, there was a line, so a worker escorted us from Filosofía y Letras Street. They had already reserved a table for us. The place is small, and it would have been appreciated if they could reduce the number of chairs, as there comes a time when you can't move comfortably. There was also no music; only the street noise could be heard. The menu options are well-known to those who regularly eat pizza, so there's nothing surprising about the new flavors. A few moments later, they offered us an appetizer, Totis with lemon, as an appetizer while the pizza was cooking. The seasonings were good: Valentina, Tabasco, Worcestershire Sauce, Maggie Juice, Mango Habanero Sauce, and Del Monte Ketchup. Regarding food, the 2-for-1 promotion on pizzas every day in all sizes is a big plus. Prices are affordable for more than 4 people, as drinks are around $40.00 MXN, for an approximate cost of $100.00 MXN per person. The pizzas taste good; they do what they're supposed to. They're thin with a crispy base. You never taste any tomato sauce, but the balance of flavors is offset by the sesame seeds on the crust, which aren't as predominant as on other pizzas. There isn't one pizza that stands out for its flavor, but rather for its ingredients. In this case, the peasant and Mexican pizzas delivered on the flavor, although it was always the individual flavors that lifted the pizza, not the harmony between them. The surprise, and therefore the recommendation, is the Double Burger. Its size is impressive, the aroma is incredible, the presentation is stunning, and the flavor is surprising. I find it hard to believe that, as a place specializing in pizza, the burger was the one that managed to surprise me. The fries managed to give off a restaurant-style flavor, the bread felt commercial but not industrial, and the meat, despite being frozen and somewhat cardboardy, struggled to go above and beyond. There was a great attempt at a twist in flavor and presentation. Taking a classic element and wanting to go a little further. The cheese was good, the ham really brought out the flavor, and the lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise all work together to give you something that, for the same price, would have cost you only four slices. In conclusion, Pizzería Copilco manages to hit the nail on the head where other pizzerias fail: price. Although the flavor isn't as splendid, there are other offerings on the menu that can easily make up for it and make for a good group meal.
Thin-crust pizzas with long-grain cheese and sesame seeds on the edges; tasty, but not spectacular. While you wait, they give you chicharrones (pork rinds) on the house, and if you finish them, they'll bring you more. The pizzas are always two-for-one; for the average person, a medium pizza is enough (although if you don't finish it, you can order it to go). Drinks are the most expensive, with a can of soda costing $30.
A good place to enjoy a pizza with a beer. They only sell draft beer, 145 pesos a pitcher, and they have a two-for-one pizza deal, with a family-size pizza costing 230 pesos, which is easily enough for six people. The place is small but the service is good and fast. It's quite popular.
Every day, pizzas are 2 for 1; the large pizza is 220 pesos, perfect for four people. The pizzas are delicious, especially the Mexican one. The beer is fresh, and a michelada is around 60 pesos and very good. The service is fast and good, but the decor and atmosphere are basic. They have other locations in the same area. One of the downsides is that they sell alcohol so close to the university, when it's supposed to be prohibited. They also need to implement more sustainability measures.
The place has seriously deteriorated... The pizza took almost an hour to be ready, the dough was very thin and burnt, and the waitress was snarky and served us in a bad mood, her phone in hand. The only redeeming feature is the ambiance of the place. It's a shame it's not the same place it used to be (before the pandemic).
Muy malas pizzas
Una pizza asquerosa.
I previously thought it was a great option, but they're incompetent when they're busy. I consider myself patient, but we waited about 30 minutes for our pizza. I asked about my order, they sent someone to check, and in the end, they brought us a pizza we hadn't ordered. Then another waitress came over to ask if we still wanted the pizza because they hadn't even assembled it to put in the oven yet. It's worth noting that I only asked about my order when I saw them start serving the pizzas from tables that arrived later. If they see a lot of people, it's best not to go in.
Terrible service. The place is overcrowded, and the waitresses who take your order get confused and don't send it to the kitchen. We waited over 40 minutes only to be told they hadn't even put our order in yet.
The food was awful, it arrived completely cold, terrible service for those on the 8:30 shift. I even added a tip.
