Such a wonderful place!!! You can eat downstairs outside on the patio, have a cocktail at the bar, be seated inside, or seated upstairs at the rooftop bar (during the warmer months). We love coming here. Also dog friendly if you sit outside. Beautifully decorated for the Holidays too!
Do not be dissuaded by the fact that this place is called the BRITISH Bankers Club. The food and drinks are excellent! Shout-out to Min for being an incredible server who was wonderful in helping us select awesome items off the menus. Highly recommend trying the cocktail with the coconut cookie, black sesame on the rim, and tea ( it's new and on the seasonal drinks or daily deposits menu ). Honestly delicious and very unique. Also shoutouts to the chef who cooked the chicken of the chicken tikka masala dish. This is the best cooked chicken I have had in a long while, perfectly tender and juicy and flavorful.
This upscale restaurant used to be an old bank (hence the name) it has vaulted ceiling’s, cute decor, good background music, and a fun outdoor patio area. The food and cocktails are always delicious! The staff are kind and attentive! I ordered the zero balance for libation and the brisket for my entree! It’s always so lovely to come here! Parking lot is underground and next door.
Good Happy Hour, nice drinks, indoor and outdoor seating. Servers are tip top.
Loved the atmosphere here - delicious food and cocktails + friendly service. They have outdoor seating, indoor seating, and also a cozy rooftop bar open on weekends. Highly recommend for a small group outing or a date. They have quite a few options for vegetarians as well. The truffle fries were a highlight.
Amazing atmosphere! Had the brunch special (they typically open for nights only) on father's day and i think dinner is more catered to this restaurant's strengths
Ate there Thursday for a retirement dinner for a Stanford colleague. Firt time there -the service, food & ambiance were all great! Started with ahi tuna canapes on tortilla chips, & beef skewers & fresh Vietnamese rolls, than a lovely salad with edible flowers. My entre was a great king salmon, perfectly cooked, topped with fried onions in a tangle, and served with great sauteed spinach with currents & cranberries. Only shot I got was this fabulous dessert!
Pip pip cheerio, and rightfully so, my dear chap! The happy hour prices ‘ere are bloody ‘ard to beat, I tell ya. The ambience? Simply ravishing, what what! A proper spot for the gents and the chaps to unwind, whilst the ladies in town natter on about the latest whatevah-it-may-be. Most folks who toil and dwell far from Menlo only pop by on weekends, don’tchaknow. Toodle-oo!
Great ambiance, super clean and professional looking on the inside! Happy hour is from 3-6pm daily and the drinks are about $2 less than the normal prices. Oysters were a great deal and tasted amazing. Hamachi crudo was also a top choice. The seafood appetizer was a bit spicy if you can handle!
Always top-notch service with delicious food and quality cocktails. The Spanish Octopus appetizer is divine....very tender/flavorful with artichoke hearts, chorizo, and potatoes. Spicy, yet smooth, the Coconut Curry Lobster Bisque is excellent too. Dessert menu is decadent ! The downstairs bar seating offers two screens for viewing sports, with plenty of tables and a corner booth for a larger group. Another choice is outside seating. The upstairs rooftop patio is always fun, offers bar seating as well as tables. Heaters are also provided for these cooler Fall nights. The entire building has been restored, which gives a unique atmosphere. A must try is their Sunday Brunch!

The British Bankers Club is the a nice restaurant in downtown Menlo Park with great drinks, food, and a rooftop bar. One of the only semi late night bars and spots in Menlo Park, and one of the better rooftop bars for the area. I got the old fashioned and the pork chop meal for dinner, both were delicious.

Decided on this spot mainly because the cocktail menu was superior to everything else in the nearby area. For food, I opted for the lobster roll with fries. It was filling and prepared perfectly. For the drinks, well worth a visit if you’re looking for a spot with a knack for making high-quality cocktails with silly silicon valley themed names. The first cocktail I went for was the Hostile Takeover, which is a mezcal drink with lime and agave. It is #1. I recommend everyone who loves a bit of smoke/spice to give this a try. The second cocktail I had was the Holiday Pay, which was a tequila based drink with grapefruit and hibiscus. I think it was not my favorite, but I think after a filling meal, the hibiscus cocktail was the right choice. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area
We went for the rooftop lobster dinners that are only available in the month of August. We had lobster 3 ways- a lobster salad, lobster Mac and cheese and then a steamed lobster with corn on the cob, coleslaw, and roll. It was all very good- the Mac and cheese was the best I have ever had - something I don’t usually order but wanted to try because of the lobster. It was delicious! They have an excellent wine list- service was a little slow because waiter had too many tables all at once, but it was still ok. We love the ambiance of this place and come here whenever we are in town. The people are super friendly, and service is normally above average.
Arrived at my hotel and looked for a place to eat at 4pm. This place had great happy hour food and drinks. I had their Burger and fries. Delicious, very happy with this place.
We recently hosted an event at British Bankers Club with about 70 guests, and it was absolutely perfect! Initially, we were worried the space might feel too small, but it turned out to be just right. Everyone complimented the venue and how well everything came together. We even had a photo booth set up using a local vendor, Creative Impressions Photo Booth—I highly recommend them as well! The staff at British Bankers Club truly made the night special. Our servers, Sofia and Jose, were so friendly and kept everyone happy with delicious hors d’oeuvres. Min, the bartender, served top-notch, flavorful drinks, and Sam was the ultimate jack-of-all-trades, helping wherever needed. They all worked with a smile and ensured every guest had what they needed. A huge thank you to Nina, the event coordinator, and her assistant—they were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. Their support made everything so much easier. I’ll admit, I was nervous leading up to the event since I had never planned a party before. But the moment I walked in, I was relieved—the venue looked beautiful! I had toured it when the restaurant was closed, so I didn’t know how it would look at night. The lit-up decorations added a wonderful touch to the room’s presentation. We added a few extras like flowers, balloons, and candles, but honestly, the space is stunning on its own. Thank you to the entire team for making our event such a success. We can’t wait to host another one with you in the future!

A really nice trendy British feel of upscale but without the pretentiousness! I'd say the meals all looked really well presented and made tasty. Everyone seemed to love their dishes. I had the Prime Braised Beef Short Rib w/Yorkshire Pudding and it was FABULOUS. See my pic...it was definitely the envy of the table. The desserts also didn't disappoint with the Meyer Lemon Pavlova and Chocolate Budino. With a little Italian coffee...it was a treat. Highly recommend.
A drink suggestion would be the loot-loot. It’s not only pretty but a sweet/sour lemony treat. Watermelon oysters were a great sidekick. We tried the rooftop with friends in this 3 story building at the end of the night.
We stopped by here for drinks and snacks. Very beautiful restaurant with beautiful facade and patio dining. Good place for dates. The lemon citron cocktail was good. The Brussel sprouts in balsamic vinaigrette and raisins were great. We would want to visit again for full meal experience.

The space is nice, I love the feel of the inside. We came for a friend's bday. Food was just ok, nothing new, half of the dishes were overly salty. Not sure, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes...
Had a birthday dinner here and food was better than expected. 3.75 stars Food 4 Atmosphere 3.5 Service 2.5 Cost to worth it rating: 3 (appetizers ~$20, entrees ~$30-40) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Duck purse dumplings (moneybags): delightful tasty dumplings. My fave item of the night. 4.75 stars - Garlic cheese bread: pizza format was unexpected. Very cheesy and garlicy in a good way. 4.5 stars - Sausage pepperoni was good with the crunchy doughy sourdough crust. 4 stars - Pork chop tender and flavorful. Good thickness and cooked nicely . Hit of the night 4.5 stars - Poke: pure and stacked w seaweed salad on bottom and wonton crisps on top to eat with. 4 stars - Fish and chips: solid. airy crispy battered pieces of fish. 4 stars - Burrata big cheese round on top of a butternut squash puree. 3.5 stars - Scallops with red curry: mild flavor scallops cooked fine 3.5 stars - Chicken yakitori: basic small skewers but with almost too much teriyaki sauce 3.25 - Group booking: can't do more than 8 online but called and they were accommodating and helpful. They were open to any number of people as long as we have them an accurate final count which I appreciated - Menu: has variety and we ended up going family style so we could try a bunch of things - Location right by Menlo Park train station which is convenient Midlights: - Cocktails were just ok Lowlights - Waitress didn't seem to be experienced and was not around much. She didn't seem to know how to open a bottle of bubbly and a bunch spilled out and looked uncomfortable with a large table.

All in all a disappointment. Went there with great anticipation of a wonderful experience after all the hype about what an upscale place this was. The only redeeming quality was the pomegratate, watermelon, shaved fennel salad. That was delcious. As for the rest of thew food; well, if you like fishy fish, then you'd be pleased. With a single bite it was clear the fish was not fresh and not only smelled bad, but tasted foul. The food was not hot, the presentation was uninspired and the taste was bland and lower than sub par. The staff were robotic although not unfriendly. They were nice enough, but came across as being very unahppy to be there. The music was loud and was reminiscent of a motel bar/lounge, circa 19790s. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. I would not return, nor recommend.

The waitress took my cocktail away before it was empty. She promised to replace it and then didn’t. Since we had a party of 8 she was already getting a mandatory 20% tip so she didn’t care. The lobster roll was ok but not great.
