My coworkers and I love this place. We always order our food through DoorDash and call the restaurant for any modifications or if we want anything added to our orders (jalapenos, extra sauce, and etc...) and they make it seamless. The staff are always friendly and accommodating!!!! Awesome service!!!!!!

Everything was delicious! I got the spicy chicken plate and added noodles. I've never had Mediterranean food before but I definitely will come back again. Also you have to try the baklava! I wish they sold them in packs.

Lamb chops & fattoush salad are whole another level Try Lemonade juice, won't regret New setup. Super welcoming staff and fast service. Thanks guys, you are the best

Worth getting the food, fresh and delicious been wanting to visit but after trying their food, it’s definitely worth buying. One thing I would like is divider plate for salad and rice dish to avoid getting mix up. I really love the chips in the salad instead of croutons. The salad mix is perfect for me without the (sauce). Also the rice is so delicious. I’d come here more often if it isn’t too pricy. The atmosphere is pretty good, music you can listen to that’s perfect match to the restaurant. Has nice outside seating with shade, great when weather is cool.

Kabab City in Merced exceeded all expectations. The Mediterranean flavors were impeccable, with perfectly grilled kebabs and authentic sauces. Fresh ingredients and attentive staff added to the wonderful experience. A must-visit for any food enthusiast!

So many whiney people up in here… they should really stick to their McDonald’s :] I can honestly say this is the best new restaurant that Merced has seen in quite a while and a cuisine that is definitely welcomed! Beautiful new venue, very friendly owner and excellent quality and taste. Ordered the beef and spicy chicken combo with rice and salad. The chicken was incredibly tender white meat chicken and full of flavor and the beef was also perfectly cooked and flavorful. Option to add some sauces and extra sides. The olives were also really good. The plate was huge, $18 and definitely enough for two meals. The amount of menu options you can order is so varied you could probably eat here for a month and not have the same thing. There is seating indoor and also outside but it is more of a togo spot but service was fast and friendly. So excited for this new spot and it will definitely sets the bar for new restaurants in Merced.

The best place to eat in Merced! We look for excuses to travel 45 miles to Merced to go eat there! The Mediterranean food there is fantastic! Update: 11/18/25 We drove from Mariposa today to eat lunch here and they have expanded their menu, added more seating, and somehow the food is even more amazing! More appetizers, more entrees, and more dessert! Thank you for the delicious, generous portions! We can't wait to come back and we haven't even left yet!

The food is so good! What I ordered was filling and full of vegetables, and the salad was the best salad I've ever had. We had two servers, including Mary Ann, who waited on our table; they were both awesome and accommodating. Definitely coming back here!

They have upgraded to a full service sit-down restaurant and the new additions to the menu do not disappoint! The lamb shank was so tender and flavorful! Plus all the original favorites are still amazing: the baba ganoush, burek, and fatoush salad were all delicious! Come try the new menu and support a wonderful family and local business. We’ll be coming back to try more dishes. Next up: lamb chops!

Consistency. Period. This place is ALWAYS great, and if you know Tony, you know he holds a high standard in his personal life and it definitely shows in his establishment. The portions are monumental yet not overwhelming, the flavor is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I’ve yet to try something here and not fall in love with it. The makeover he gave this place recently is much more of a family oriented come on in and relax type of atmosphere. Tony and his family/staff always make you feel right at home, they treat you with respect and actually care about you getting exactly what you want and they always over deliver. Tony makes you feel like family, he invites you into his home of flavor and leaves you speechless. Great job Tony and staff, keep up the great work. Thank you for everything. Hard work pays off and consistency through adversity is king.

Our server Raven did an amazing job. Giving us details about the food. My son is so picky about his drinks and she actually made an amazing ice tea with lemonade for him. The food is sooooo delicious. Our favorite place for dine in. Hope we have Raven again made us feel so welcomed and comfortable.

This is a fairly new business or a reopening with the remodel. When I went I was very impressed. The manager or owner was out making sure that all customers were taken care of properly. The food was delicious. Even the rice was wonderful. The portions were large and the food was on spot. I would highly recommend this place. This strip mall has some of the best restaurants in Merced. I recommend trying them all.

We've been here twice now and both times were great. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. But what really sets this place apart is their service! They are very family-friendly and each time we came, all of the staff have been so kind and engaged with our children. I would highly recommend coming by with your family for a meal :) Additionally we have gluten free and dairy free members of our family and there were many good options for our dietary restrictions.

This was my first time here. It was very clean and inviting. They have outdoor and indoor dining. The employees were super friendly and helpful. She explained all the food. You get a lot of food for the price. The spicy chicken is not super spicy but has an amazing flavor. The beef wasn't over cooked. I love that you can add toppings. The plate came with rice and salad with 6 pieces of meat you can mix and they do have a vegetarian option. The staff constantly came to check on us and asked if we needed anything. I love this place!

The staff provided top-notch service, making sure every need was met with genuine care and attention. it was my first time so he explained everything The food was exceptional, with each dish prepared to perfection and flavor on point. If I could leave extra credit points for the service, I would! We have eaten here many times over their time being open in Merced and have been greeted with eagerness and kindness to the highest degree EVERY. TIME. Tonight we dined in and had the new cauliflower appetizer — what. What kind of heavenly sauce that it was topped with, I do not know but I am glad to have experienced it! We ordered the spicy chicken and shish Kabab. Each protein was cooked perfectly. The presentation was also beautiful and the portions were generous. We finished dinner off with baklava, one of each flavor, pistachio/chocolate and walnut/honey. Our cups were always full! A great atmosphere. So clean and well-kept. Tony and Maryann and all of the staff here is 100/10. I’m so glad to have such a great spot to enjoy in town!

2025-11: Kabab City - Merced. $25 for the dinner plate tri-tip beef and $9 for the spicy hummus. Kinda pricy but DELICIOUS!!! The garlic sauce was also excellent. All the food was great! They were kinda slow with taking orders and bringing the food out. But in all fairness, the place looks recently renovated and I could tell they are training personnel. BTW, the place looks sharp and very clean. Highly recommended!

I thought this restaurant was one that we order from the menu but, instead, you order from the counter, pay and find your own seat. This is our first time and we like the food. The spicy chicken isn’t spicy hot for me, I had to add hot sauce. The location is good. It’s located in the Yosemite Crossing.

DOR:51924 Let's start by saying it's a 3.5 overall for the restaurant, but being that it's in Merced. I'll give it 4.5 starts. Good food! My favorite was the falafel balls. Dope! 10 outta 10! Had the combo plate beef n chicken good, not great, 7 outta 10! Also had the garlick chicken wrap. It's probably the best outa all 8 outta 10! Price 7 outta 10. Bit pricey but very good portions! Would definitely return if in the area! No issues giving it my seal of approval #gorditoapproved #fatboyapproved

If the wheel is not broken then why fix it/change it. They renovated and I don’t think I’ll be coming back, at least not during my lunch break. It’s a 10-15 minute wait. VS before they would serve your plate as you ordered. Not no more. You also can’t do half & half on your plate (spicy chicken & Kabab chicken). I usually would order half & half. Not no more. My bowl used to be about $12-$14. Today my total was $18.01 for Kabab City bowl.

I used to come to this place about once a week. The food is amazing but once they changed it up and removed the bar it ruined it. I understand trying to change it into an actual dine in but it was poorly executed. Food was on the colder side, you aren’t able to make much changes to the food now and the kitchen totally forgot some items. I got a side salad when I ordered garlic sauce. The portions are so much smaller with the same price point as well. I’m up for change but why fix something that was never broken in the first place. Very disappointing

We ordered to go chicken & beef plates. They do not pack the “to go” orders with the salads being separate. Our salad was soggy when opening up our container to start eating. Everything packed very tightly to the top because they are very generous on their food amounts. Should pack the cold salad & cold pasta separately the hot food doesn’t become cold. Then they even spread the salad on top of the hot food including covering the rice. The amount we payed of about $40 is not worth this 1st experience trying this place out. This restaurant needs to pack correctly if they have a Lisence to sell food to avoid food contamination.

I had a really disappointing experience at Kabab City. Our server, Adrian, was extremely rude and dismissive the whole time. The food was served cold, and the portions were surprisingly small for the price. Overall, the service and food quality did not match the cost. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Visited here at 3pm on a weekday. We were the first customers. I was really excited and wanted to try out this place ever since they opened. But I was disappointed with not only the food, but the service. I only ordered the spicy chicken with salad as they did not have 2 out of the 3 items that I wanted. At checkout, the employee stated that they were going to ring up the person's behind me order. I was confused, but I let it go. We paid 20 bucks for a plate of spicy chicken and salad. This is by far not a spicy chicken, it tasted like regular chicken with some curry seasonings. And my salad was very wet even though I requested for light dressing. And my sister who ordered fries with her food, the fries took over 10 mins to be ready. Bland overpriced food with poor service. I do not anticipate coming back here.

I used to love this place before the remodel. The portions were very fair to the price being paid. Now not so much. Beware if you get take out you will most likely get a smaller portion than someone dining in. Very disappointed. The picture is of the the kebab city bowl with chicken. Seven lousy pieces of chicken is crazy.
