Very delicious. Is my daughter's and my favorite restaurant. The staff is very nice and the food is terrific. If you haven't tried this place ,do try it
Every time the food is consistently amazing. The lunch buffet is my favorite. I love the chicken Makahni, saffron rice, white rice, and Naan. Something to order off their menu is their spina have Naan. On top of the food, the service is fantastic.
I've had Indian food all over central and northern California and nothing I've had yet compares to Taste of Little India. Samoas ama mint chutney are to die for and I love love love the saag paneer. The service is fantastic, too. I moved away a year ago and I dream of this food.....
I've tried all the Indian food around the Modesto Area and The Taste of India is worth the drive. The food is consistently excellent. They also have good service and have accommodated special requests.
Very fresh very tasty Indian food. Dine in or take out. Even the buffet which includes your drink if you dine in! Friendly service. Good prices...
We have been visiting Taste of Little India since it was a tiny place in Atwater. Parm has always been so welcoming and willing to share cultural tidbits about the food and its differences from region to region. The chicken tikka masala is amazing. It's a little more like butter chicken I've had at other Indian spots than tikka masala I've had at other indian spots, but it was the dish that kicked off my love of Indian cuisine. The naan is always great. If you've never been, ask questions! The staff is always really informative.
I have been eating here for years. Always exceptional meals. The crew is super friendly. Al ways have Chicken Ticca Massala. The best ever. Parma is a great guy and has a Super Place to eat.
I used to come here as a kid with my Family, coming back to it as an adult its still as good as ever. Best Chicken tikka I've had and the Quality is still as good as ever. Worth the trip, good prices too!
This is a new regular spot for me I did not know they had an Indian buffet pretty good food I love the saffron rice and your drink is included in the price of the buffet that is getting harder to find!
The best thing about Merced. I moved away 5 years ago but still haven't found Indian food as good as Taste of Little India. It's the thing I look forward to most when I visit family in Merced. I've eaten Indian food in cities all throughout California but still haven't found food as good as this. Their Dal Makhani and Korma are especially delicious.
Top class foods in the town.i have no words for the foods.must try chefs Hyderabadi dumphuket Biryani. Samra spl fish@chips. And angora chicken best in the worlds.staff was very cooperative.managements so nice.yummy foods with real Indian style.keep it up.thx the chefs
I love this place. Quantity is great. The chef is detailed, my order is NEVER wrong, which is a big deal, given I only order vegan. The vegan options are satisfying and staff is great. Order, eat, repeat. Great place.
Very accommodating with many fully vegan options. Very kind and helpful, knowledgeable servers. And the food was excellent! Actually better than I expected - I couldn't stop eating. ❤️
They have a buffet option. They serve you from the buffet. It was nice to taste the different things they had to offer. The naan was soo delicious! Especially dipped in the chicken tikki masala sauce. Yum! We will be returning soon.
My all time favorite restaurant in Merced. The only Indian I’ll eat!!! Don’t order medium if you can’t handle spice even if you think you can hang! 😊
I always visit this restaurant and generally go for the vegetable korma (Navvoraton (so?) Korma). They are fast, efficient and cook to the desired level of spice (mild for me). Don't forget the tasty garlic naan!
Was my first time eating here today. The buffet was really nice. Everything was fresh an well kept. Butter chicken was really good, and rice was cooked right. Naan was a lil bland but hey still nice. Recommend it if you like Indian.
This place is amazing! We moved from San Diego where we were spoiled with several really good Indian spots. When we moved to Merced we were hesitant to try something new but this restaurant is the best! Consistent quality and the ingredients are so flavorful and fresh! Can’t wait until they are dine in so I can eat in person!
Ive eaten Indian food in many parts of the United States, but none as great as Taste of Little India. It's my go-to restaurant every time I come home to Merced to visit family. There's a great variety of options, including vegetarian/vegan dishes. For those who havent tried this place before, Chicken Tikka Masala is a popular option for many people, including my wife and would probably be my first recommendation. My personal favorites have been Saag Paneer and the Veggie Delight. Staff is very friendly and considerate. Any review less than 5 stars doesnt do this amazing little restaurant any justice. Taste of Little India will always be a part of home for years to come.
Delicious food. We ordered Kadhai chicken and asked them to make it more spicy. That was one of the best kadhai chicken I have had after a longtime. Very much full in taste and satisfying. Service was prompt and place was clean. Other dishes we ordered were equally tasteful. We'd be stopping here more often.
This is our Go-To place for our dinner dates! We love the food and the staff. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service. And the one time I did have a complaint, our waiter was quick to fix it and made sure our experience was a great one! I love the atmosphere and the food and I would recommend to any and all of my friends! Our favorites are the Chicken Pakoras- be careful they're spicy- (with the yogurt dip for my wimpy taste buds!), and the Chicken Tikka Masala with extra Jasmine rice and Naan!! Be warned, medium is HOT and hot is INFERNO! haha If you can't take the heat (like me!) then just ask for mild and be honest about your heat levels. The waiter will be quick to suggest menu items that will better suit your taste buds and your stomach lining. ; )
Vegetarian and always order the mattar paneer with two orders of spinach cheese naan. Probably my favorite meal in the world!!! I get the level 4 or 5 spice, which can be VERY spicy for those who aren't spice fanatics as I am (and there are even higher levels... I've gone overboard once lol). I can't speak to any other meal, as I ALWAYS get this, but whenever I go with others they always love their food. And just for reference, I make it a point to eat indian food in every country I visit and pretty much any time I'm able. This is the best and most consistent place I've ever been to. Great service as well. In fact, I just got back to the area today and am going to be swinging by for dinner!!! Yes!!!
Delicious Indian food. Great variety and great prices. I live in Sacramento, but every time I drive through Merced, I stop and eat here. It's definitely a treat! If you live in Merced, you're very lucky. Check this place out and enjoy!
This place never let's me down. Best East Indian food in town and actually anywhere I've been. Great food, always clean and staff always friendly.
We've driven by this place often, but never stopped. The exterior didn't give me a very high confidence as to what I would find inside. Well, my assumptions were wrong (as is often the case with assumptions :-) ). Everything was clean and the food was fresh, very flavorful, and wonderful. My wife and I ordered a combo-plate for two which includes Chicken Tikka Masala, Daal Makhani, rice, naan, and a couple other items I've forgotten the names of, one with lamb dish and another with a piece of baked/spiced chicken. I would have licked the plate if it were not for my wife's presence and the fact that the naan is pretty effective at wiping up the last of the sauce. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly and fast. We will be back. UPDATE: Our second meal here was outstanding . . . Malai Chicken Kebab and Spinach Stuffed Naan. I don't understand why this place isn't packed . . . it should be.
Great spinach naan. Excellent food excellent service. Nice relaxing atmosphere. If you're not sure or haven't tried Indian food go for their lunch buffet it's excellent.
Wow! I never expected to find such amazing Indian food in a small town like Merced. This place is awesome! All their dishes were well served and the host, waiters were extremely nice :) Don't miss out on their Lamb Biryani. It is one of the best Biryanis I've had in the US!
It seemed, only one person doing all the serving bussing and etc. It was busy lunch time and people were in line to get seated. We had vegetarian dishes and it was fulfilling. Pakora's was made for me - correct bite size and tasty.
One of the best and authentic India food in Central valley, California .... The food is cooked by Indian Chefs directly under vigilance of the Owners . It seems they been running this place ( around current location) from last 25 years .. I had a chance to speak with one of the owners . Really impressed by the care they take for getting the authentic flavours of North India ( Punjabi Cousine)
Spectacular service, Lyra is a doll and goes above and beyond. Friendly service and knows her stuff! The food is ALWAYS epically delicious. Parm is one of the best cooks in Merced. I will never go to another Indian restaurant so long as I live in Merced and these doors are open. They always aim to please and the freshness of their food is amazing. Everything is made there. It’s a truly home cooked meal for a fair price. As for the atmosphere, it’s little like coming home when you walk in. There’s always someone to greet you as you enter and there is always a smile on their face. Dinner time is the best time to go, they really take great care of you the entire time you are there. And their vegan options are phenomenal, if that’s your thing. My personal favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala but substitute coconut cream for regular cream, as I’m lactose intolerant. Or to change it up I get the Tofu Masala. I come in hungry and leave feeling good about what I ordered and plenty of leftovers for the next days lunch! Thank you, TOLI for providing a truly superior dining experience in Merced.
Passing through Merced on 7/5/24, I stopped off at this nice restaurant. The waitress was very friendly, and the food was good. Three chicken dishes, Naan, and two vegetarian options of Dal & Aloo Gobi. Reasonably priced buffet at $12, I believe. I have book-marked ToLI on my maps' account for future use.
Our usual date night spot was closed so we went downtown to try this place out. OMG it was amazing! So many vegetarian choices! Our waitress was awesome, and the food was to die for. We got medium spice the first time, and medium hot our second go round. Both were phenomenal and full of flavor. We recently ordered delivery and the food arrived HOT, as if we were dining there. We'll be back soon.
One of my favourite Indian cuisine in Merced, loved the way the Man treated us. All the ordered dishes were cooked to the perfection as per request(medium spice) and tasted delicious and priced perfectly and portions are also large enough for two. Me and my wife enjoyed the Indian food well after many month's of our stay in California
Food, service, and overall experience here was fantastic! Staff was extremely friendly and explained several dishes so that I had a good idea of what they had to offer. I ended up getting the chicken curry and it was delicious.
Delicious food! One of the best chicken tikka masala’s I’ve had in a long time. The tandoori chicken was super yummy and marinated well. Will definitely be back.
First time trying this place... Went with a friend who ordered their chicken tikki masala meal to go, waited close to a half hour (had to wait in the car due to the pandemic regulations of no indoor service) and then she got her food; got to house and food was still hot and tasted good (she ordered the medium spice flavor and it was a little hot for her but I liked it). Would like to go back soon to try some of their other dishes. Service was friendly and quickly helped her get what she wanted ordered and the inside of the restaurant was warm/cozy looking (too bad cant dine in to enjoy the ambience).
I really loved the lunch buffet, and dinner menu. Myself I really enjoyed it seafood special. Really friendly staff, clean Restaurant hammer, good service excellent food
Great flavor & spice, which is kind of the point of Indian food. Spicy where it should be (if you know what spices are used, you can definitely spot them on your palate), well prepared meat (tender and juicy) as well as good portions. The Saag was amazing with lamb, as well as the Khumba (at medium spice it was a "warm" heat level). The Naan was okay, could be a bit more flavorful (salt?), however it was still good. I'll definitely coming back when I'm nearby.
Very delicious! They make their own yogurt for the mango lassi. The naan was phenomenal. Things do run spicier here, so I got the Chicken Tikka Masala mild and that was just right. Our server was very friendly and overall it was a great experience. I have had a lot of Indian food living in LA, but this place might be my favorite. Cannot recommended this place more!!
Food is really good. I Love the Butter Naan. It has a wonderful butter taste and it soft and fluffy. Just love it. This place is awesome, I only wish that the serving sizes were bigger.
I ordered from their competition in town and no competition the other places food taste great as well but their portions absolutely suck I’ve never been disappointed with little taste of India they give you good portions could improve a little bit but better than the other place !! Awesome!!!!! We love it!! Little taste of India as long as they don’t start skimping will be my choice and my family’s choice from here on out
Not sure who these 1 star reviewers are, but I believe their reviews are not to be believed! My business partner (a very pick Brit) and I, a lover of Indian food, had the pleasure of dining here tonight and absolutely loved the food, the amazingly charismatic staff, and good selection of domestic and imported Indian beers. For a night out in good company and great food, visit this fantastic restaurant! Will be visiting next time I drive into town.
Amazing food, atmosphere & people! Clean & friendly environment 👌 I've been coming here since my 1st visit in my teenage years, now an adult & the food is just as brilliant as when I first had it years ago. Definitely my go-to for the best Indian Food in town ❤
The best Indian food in Merced hands down. Their naan is perfectly soft, tough, and delicious. I can never get enough of their chicken tikka masala, it's so good every single time. The chefs are experts, even the rice is tasty and perfectly cooked. If you're in the mood for satisfying and delicious food, definitely try this place. 10/10.
We have been coming to Taste of Little India for years and have always enjoyed our food! We have tried other places and never have been as satisfied. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer are amazing, as are the Naan. Definitely recommend!
Hands down the best Indian food in the valley been coming here for years never disappoints. The service is excellent and the food is exceptional always. If you haven't tried it you definitely should give it a shot.
A full five star to this elegant restaurant. If you are around Merced and want to try out Indian food this place should be your first choice. I’d appreciate the cleanliness of the place and the location makes the ambience even more enjoyable. Food is great and the preparation is even good for the small kids. We appreciate the quantity and I’m sure the lunch buffet would be totally worth it. Special thanks to Albert and Lyra for keeping the interactions super-friendly.
The food is amazing, service is awesome. I will definitely be returning. Came here for date night for the first time. We were both impressed!
GREAT dual birthday dinner - food and service were exceptional! Love the Garlic Naan. We will be back soon.
First time here and was amazing food delicious plates and tasted 😋 so good definitely I come back here another time to try diferente dish and truly recommend this amazing place to come n enjoy fabulous 👌 food yummy yummy 😋 the costumer service was great 100% 👍 👌
Amazing food. Their naan is so soft and savoury. Their chicken curry is also amazing.
🗺We have loved this place all the years we have lived in Merced, going to eat there when it was still in Atwater, followed it when it came to Merced. ♨️ It was great the other night - we had been given a gift certificate as a thank you and it did not disappoint. If you don't know what you like, your server is always ready to help with great ideas. You can always alter your spicy level. You can add or take away to some of the dishes. We have some usual favorites but we also like to try new things.🍅🍗 The more you go there the more you get to try new stuff! Do it! Indian food is amazing!🍽
First to visit with fiance though been wanting to come so glad finally went to celebrate Vday. Worth going cause food was great. We chose dinner for two and Erica was so nice to accommodate us.
Lunch buffet is a great value. Samosas are pretty good too!
This place is amazingly good!! First time eating there and definitely not the last. The Chicken Korma is out of this world!!
Great food with vegan options, my favorite is "Tofu tikki masala" you can ask and they will let you know what's vegan. Amazing food for everyone

I’ve eaten here 3 times, service has always been good, the servers are always there with refills or asking how everything is going. Food taste amazing (I like spice) I usually get the lamb and curry with rice and nan all which are delicious and I like the comfy atmosphere also the smells of the curry and spices.
I never have had Indian food but the combination dinner for two with pork was an amazing way to have a little bit of everything. My friends got the garlic naan so next time I’m gonna sub for that! Thank you for the waiter for being patient and amazing last night around 7pm.
For a long time, I was reluctant to try Indian food. I didn’t think I’d like it. One day my Wife bought us take out Chicken Tikka Masala. I was amazed, and I fell in love with it. It’s now my go-to take out food. The chicken, the rice, and the naan are all so good. The staff is also kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place. Best Indian food in Merced!
I have tried this multiple times. Love their foods. Tried chana masala, alu saag, chicken tikka masala and different types of Naans. All types of Naan were delicious. Always tried medium hot spice level and it fits with my south asian tongue. Portion is good compared to the price. Didn’t like the tea that much. The atmosphere is ok. Not very crowdy.

The food was too spicy and the masalas were put out of proportion from chai to pakoras. However , the ambience was good and the host tried to accommodate the best she could so I will have to give her credit for that
Excellent food with great Indian flavor, only reason I didn’t give them a five is because I’m vegan would like more vegan options. Actually more meat vegan options. The vegan dishes they do have though are amazing.
Food was very good, staff was very friendly. Would have been 5 stars if only they had an actual India Pale Ale (IPA) in the fridge. The hoppy, bitter beer would have been great with my meal.
Everything I have tried here is really good. The lunch buffet is a great deal with good variety. I often grab samosas to go when I'm passing through and in a hurry. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.
The food is delicious. They usually ask us how spicy we want the food. This time they didn't and it was super mild. We would have liked a bit more heat. We'll be sure to bring it up next time if they don't. I don't love the atmosphere there, always feels a bit deli-like to me. It's fine, but I prefer someplace a bit cozier for dinner. The service was fine, not exceptional, but ok.
If you've never tried Indian food before then wait no more. We've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. If you enjoy spicy food then be prepared to treat yourself to several levels.
I am glad they have vegan options in the menu. Food is not totally disappointing but there, spice level could be easily misinterpreted as paprika level. So be careful. Our food was literally looking red because of all that extra paprika on top. But the service was great and you just can’t beat that location if you are on your way to Yosemite.
They have a small buffet, but has some good items on it . You also have the option to place orders , of course I went with the buffet 😄 . The staff was really helpful and nice . The price was awesome and I will definitely be back.
Food we ordered was great. The white soup needed a little salt but was good. They have vegan options. Service was great food as well.
Really decent food. I would come here again. Rated them 4 stars because I felt like they didn't have a huge selection, kind of basic dishes weren't available there.

For the most part they're pretty fast when i pick up doordash orders. The waitresses have always been very, polite and professinal. The only down fall is that about a quarter of the orders I do pick up, are very late. The Manager/Owner doesn't seem to care. The last problem I have is alot of orders have came out messed up. Being a doordash driver i will visually check food, but can't physically open and touch the food to make sure its actually there. So I give it 3 stars as it is a decent place, with potential to be a great place.
Went here because the competing place - Turmeric was closed. The best part was that you get complimentary naan and rice along with a dish. That said, the food was bland the aloo paratha didn't have any spice, the samosas were particularly a let down, and so was Navratna korma. Tandoori chicken and mango lassi were the upsides, and is the reason I am giving it 3/5.
The food was absolutely delicious and there was real vegetarian variety. I had the dal makhani and my mom had the tandoori shrimp. We split the mini-bhatura appetizer. All of it was fresh, flavorful, and attractive. I asked and was briefed on the secret spiciness scale -- always appreciate a server and kitchen willing to take a risk on someone's culinary machismo. HINT, hot-5 (middle of the at-your-own-risk spice level) was on a par with habanero picante sauce and less spicy than el Yucateco XXXtrahot Mayan sauce. A peek in the kitchen showed what could have been (a much younger version) of my smiling grandmother! Only reason I'm dropping stars is for, hopefully situational, slow service. Staff were well informed and courteous, but the dining room was super disorganized. We got seated and served just before the dinner rush, and afterwards service slowed to an uncomfortable crawl. We unfortunately watched some potential customers walk away. I had to get up to ask for the check and it unfortunately put my mom off her appetite. I hope that things get sorted, I have to try hot-7.
Wife liked her entree, but my medium spicy saag paneer was too hot to eat! We were told this happens when the owners mom cooks! Being very clear with waitress how spicy you want... cost of meal was a deal.
This place was the best back in its heyday. I love their chicken tikki masala, but I've had it twice now, and it is mediocre at best. I can't describe it. Before the previous two, the food had lots of flavor and the food melt in your mouth. Just perfection. Now, not quite so. It feels like it wasn't made to order. Like it either came out of a premade package or cooked a while ago. I don't know. The food was decent, but not how I remembered it. This was my to go to for Indian food and the only other Indian restaurant is far less superior to this one
Honestly, they are very friendly and good energy. However, the problem is the food. Just disappointing. I’ve tried on three occasions now because they are so welcoming. Too bad, I really wanted to enjoy it.
The lunch buffet was disappointing. There was only one little island with 1 sweet rice dish, 1 naan, 5 meat dishes, and only one vegan option. I had to order off the menu. Got the vegetable biryani, which was good flavor wise, but had very little vegetables in it.
Wow, we eat here regularly but tonight was bizarre. We were told tonight every time we asked for something, including the rice that normally accompanies the meal, that they were too busy. When we asked for togo boxes, one especially for my entire meal as my stomach decidrd to revolt, we were brought itty bitty five inch boxes. We will go back when the staff is taught how to be proper servers.
This little place is a restaurant/buffet. I wouldn't call it much of a buffet with only 6 items to choose from. There was not much to choose from and the meat looked dry. I ended up ordering from the menu a vegetarian option. The dal makhani lacked flavor and was bland. The nan was hot and fluffy. Since it's a buffet, there was no service and to order off the menu you had to walk up to the register. I wouldn't come back for lackluster food.

This is a sad place for an Indian restaurant. They serve low quality meat and curries. Most of the curry had raw chilly powder on it. Worst dinner ever.
STOP INDIAN FOOD @ TASTE OF LITTLE INDIA knew something tasted weird. My tikka marsala last night was very greasy and had way too much cream, and even the rice was greasy tasting. Sure enough this morning I feel very sick. Low-quality food. Amy Schutz
Haven't ate a biryani as bad as here ever in my life, it is like chicken curry with wet gravy Mixed in rice, not even basmati rice. When said to be spicy, the chef added a pack of chilli powder and Mixed it with rice. When asked why it was made Like that, they say that it is how they have been doing there all the time. Basically they don't know how to make a vehicle biryani. Though responsive, it looked more of against than towards serving good food. Other punjabi dishes are good, but certainly, they need to the chicken biryani, or remove it from the menu.
Just moved here, have had indian food in many states and different countries. This is by far the worst. Everything tasted like frozen prepackaged courses that had been reheated. The chicken tandoori was terribly aged, and the skillet used left the flavor of iron and rust in my mouth. Expensive and extremely disappointing. Big India would be ashamed.
I was supersad.. no taste and no flavor at all! Tandoori chicken was like cooked or baked in old oil or pan. I got home and the food was not eatable. I love Indian food but this place killed it.
I was driving from Sac to Fresno with my 8yr old daughter. She is an Indian food fanatic. We both thought this was some of the worst Indian food we have ever tasted. Buffet options were limited and poor quality, using frozen vegies and poor quality meats. I feel bad for the people of Merced that they don't have better options.
Ideally i wanted to give a zero rating. Horrible food. Its not an indian cuisine. Please avoid this restaurant if you are eager to eat indian food. Chicken briyani tasted like tamarind rice and chicken vindaloo tasted like tomato ketchup. Very Bad experience. On top of all, very rude manager.
Love the food but one of the female managers told my girlfriend and I over the phone on April 4th at around 5:30 PM that we were “screwing her over” (yes, those exact words) because we were confused about a doordash order and were “stealing her time on the busiest night of the week” by being on the phone with her (again, exact words). I think she’s newer staff, but pretty shocked, I’ve never been spoken to like that by customer service before! without even raising my own voice even! 😨
Ordering takeout by phone was impossible because of outdated phone system, kept getting message that mailbox was full. Finally went in person, was told only have 1 phone, so keep trying. Have been going to Turmeric for the past year because their phones work. Your food is still good, but not worth the extra effort. Had to wait 20 mins. for take out.
We ordered vegetable biriyani, dal tadka and vegetable jalfrezi. Biriyani was very watery and when we asked about it, they said its their style. I’m from India and I have eaten biriyani all my life and what they served was not biriyani. The waitress was quite rude. We asked if we can talk to the chef and chef was not ready to speak to us. Very bad experience and definitely not coming back.
I'm so sad. Sad from eating the food and also sad for the people who rate this 5 stars saying this is the best indian restaurant. The food was no near the taste of India. The spices are lacking and I think they try to cater the flavor or lack thereof to the locals' palette. I am not from here. We were on the road craving for some quality indian food. Sad to say we drove off feeling empty and dissapointed. :(
This use to be my favorite Indian spot growing up, everyone knows it's gone down hill. Naan doesnt hold overnight, & Chicken Tikka tastes sour, obviously serving spoiled chicken, this happened to me 3 times. My favorite spot is Tumeric. Go there, not here
Worst Indian food in a looong time. And that too when I was hungry from a backpacking trip to Yosemite! Ordered saag paneer, veg jajfreji and dal makni with some kulcha, Chana batura and aloo paratha. Food was asked to be made medium spicy. # saag paneer and jajfreji were too spicy with raw chilli powder, kulcha was not fully cooked and dal makni didn't even look like one, forget the taste. We felt bad dumping more than half the $75 food in nearby trash! Our prior visits were really awesome. But looks like the chef and management has changed recently. Please avoid this place if you're looking for authentic Indian food in the area. We had to wash off the bad taste by eating ice cream from another store
Doesn't even deserve one star. Stale and raw food , I ordered the chicken tikka and was not cooked at all, the paneer was very stale and tasted like chewing gum. I had to wait one hour for the food even though the restaurant was empty. Rice was so stale that it had no taste and was so hard like a stone. I eat rice every day at home so I know that RICE doesn't taste like that. Save your money and time and don't go there, Except ambiance, which also is questionable with pungent heavy cleaning chemicals smell the moment you open the main door to get in, the person serving has no clue and was not interested in answering any questions and avoided the tables post dropping the food. No one came by to check out after dropping the food, chicken korma it’s another bland no spice nor flavor in it. This is the only one the server recommended as I was inquiring to eat something in the spicy curry section .
Would give a zero if I could. You can only get food one spice level because they cook all their batches for the day early in the morning so you get it however, they cook it. This is a problem as you can’t get anything mild spice it’s all medium and above. You can only get food one spice level because they cook all their batches for the day. What a horrible way of doing business. Ordered Chana masala and the beans were hard. Can get you really sick if you eat beans that are not completely cooked. I contacted the restaurant and all they said was thanks for letting us know. I will let the kitchen know. Nothing about we will fix the order for you or anything so I definitely won’t be back my last time eating here for sure.
Good food. However, customer service is lacking and needs improvement. Decor needs to be updated as well, it makes the restaurant look kind of dull. Carry-out desperately needs improvement, the take out containers are cheap. Burned my hands slightly with the food that was in my take out container. Food spills easily because containers do not close at all properly. This place needs a lot of improvement in many areas to match the success of other Indian restaurant such as the Turmeric.
Caution! The food was super "Hot". We had to throw it despite being hungry but it was better than getting sick. If a single order would have had this issue, it would have been a mistake but all the food we ordered was not palatable. The good part is that the Naan was good, and that is it. Looking into the reviews, we took a takeaway on our way to Yosemite, and we were fortunate not to consume it while driving.
We asked for a chicken biryani and this is what we got. I don’t even know what to call this. Just chicken mixed with rice? We asked for medium spicy and it was extra spicy!
