We stumbled into this little Mexican restaurant while trying to solve what we jokingly called our “soup dilemma,” and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of the trip. We were just looking for something warm and comforting, but their soup was exceptional — rich, flavorful, and somehow even better than the one we had at the more “gastronomical” spot we visited earlier at Teva. On top of that, the torta was a total standout. Perfectly toasted bread, generous fillings, and so satisfying — and it was only 55 pesos, which felt like an absolute steal for the quality. Sometimes the best meals are the unplanned ones, and this place proved it. Great food, great value, and a cozy, authentic vibe. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re nearby.

Delicious and authentic Yucatan dishes. Excellent and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Enjoyed the panuchos with conchita (pork) and lechon al horno. Tasty chips and beans appetizer provided. Will definitely return.

Hidden gem. Modest but extraordinary place for food from Yucatán. Went there for breakfast and lunch (different days). Both great food.

We had the best dinner here! We tried a variety of items and all were yummy! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but even our picky little boy LOVED the soupa de lima. The staff was very patient with our incredibly limited Spanish. Give it a try!

Can I give 6 stars? Wow. Everything was delicious from the house made tortillas, salsa, to the guacamole, cochinita, and chicharrones. I almost cried with food happiness. Service was perfect as well. I'll be back for sure! Highly recommend.

I am biased toward the restaurants in Mérida because in some way they remind me my mother's yucatan home cooking. This is my 3rd or 4th time here having the world famous Yucatán huevos motuleños with guacamole 🥑 and cafe a tribute meal to my Yucatán parents. Katun is next to hotels so it's a touristy place so expect to pay more. High quality food takes time and patience I was not disappointed with superior service and left a clean plate. They got WiFi enjoy authentic Yucatán cuisine at Katun 😊👍🏾🇲🇽🤗

Lucky finding!! This restaurant offers great meals, absolutely loved the regional dishes! Service is impeccable too! We ordered a 4 dish sampler including cochinita, lechon, lomitos de Valladolid and Poc Chuc served with hand-made tortillas. Very tasty! Would come back to this place in a heart beat!
