I didn't really like the breakfast; lunch and dinner were better. It would be nice if the store sold large beers for 200 pesos to help with the hangover. But I wouldn't go back.
The time I got caught driving under the influence and was there, the facilities were actually very clean. The cells were clean and had mattresses and blankets. They give you breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and honestly, it was decent quality, and you can have seconds if you're not full. The treatment... well, let's just say you're treated the way you look. But it was very different from how it's made out to be. If you can avoid it, all the better. They wake you up at 6:00 a.m. to go to the yard at 7:00, I think, and they leave you there for about two hours while breakfast is being prepared. After breakfast, you have about four hours to watch movies, chat, or play board games in the yard. Then comes dinner, and they tell you that if you deign to clean up, they'll take two hours off your sentence, haha.
5 stars, excellent service, they just need to serve tortillas with the food. Seriously though, don't pay for the injunction. By law, you have to complete your required hours, and they won't return your car until you've finished your recovery period. Also, if you visit your family, bring them toilet paper, water or sports drinks, and a blanket.
It was really cool, they gave me a blanket, the bed to myself, it has a well-stocked little shop, the rice was delicious, I don't know what they're complaining about, they even show us movies.
Good atmosphere, we all get along like one big family. The bathrooms are only 2-3, I recommend they provide a little soap because some of us wash our hands. Otherwise, the service was good, I hope I don't have to visit again.
Last weekend, I was stopped by a breathalyzer. I'm actually grateful this happened, because even though I rarely drink, I did it that day, and it resulted in this arrest. It allowed me to listen to the psychologist at this center, who offers very insightful concepts that are not often heard. His talk made me consider aspects of my personality that I will address. Thank you for staying here, and the staff does their job to the best of their ability.
So far, I haven't been admitted, but a family member has, and they haven't left yet, so I can't fully comment. However, the phone number in the photo DOES work. They give you information, and the lady who answers is very kind and personable. There's a store inside El Torito, so if the detainee has money, they'll give them vouchers to use in the store up to the amount they have. Visiting hours are from 3 to 5 pm. Visitors are not allowed to bring money, keys, purses, or cell phones. Only food, water or soda in sealed plastic bottles, toilet paper, and clothing are allowed, since there are showers inside. Visitors must present their printed or digital COVID vaccination certificates. Under the vehicular bridge in front of El Torito, there are public restrooms that cost 5 pesos and have lockers to leave things. If you're visiting alone and don't have anyone to leave your belongings with, they charge 30 pesos to store your valuables, and they're open until 11 pm. To find out if someone is detained in El Torito you can consult the national registry of detainees with the CURP of the detainee and the person making the inquiry and you can see where they were detained, the reason, at what time and where they were taken, to see where your car is in Locatel they tell you to download the Cdmx or my police application and with the license plates you can see where your car is in which corralón and you can only remove it once the detainee has completed their hours in El Torito and when you go to the corralón they will also ask for identification of the detainee to verify that they have effectively completed the hours of detention and you must go with someone with a license to remove the car because when they are stopped in the breathalyzer they take away their license for a year.
Excelente trato de los administradores y meseros
Gracias
Inside, the food is terrible. It's understandable that it's not a 5-star hotel, but most people throw away the food. Since they're providing that kind of service, they should at least make it edible. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Now that I've had the experience of going to this place, I learned that they take you there under arrest. When they're admitted, they take all your belongings for safekeeping, even your shoelaces. Most people fail the breathalyzer test and their license is suspended for a year. Previously, they only had 6 points taken off their license. To get your car, you have to be accompanied by someone with a license. To request information, there's the phone number listed here. The lady who gives it is very friendly; she explains it in detail. The security guards are also kind and adhere to their guidelines. Most people serve their arrest hours and, during their stay, receive classes on different topics throughout the day. Visits are from 3 to 5 p.m., and the center provides meals at 7 a.m. for breakfast, 1 p.m. for lunch, and 7 p.m. for dinner. You don't get a fine for a breathalyzer test, but if it was for something else, you do have the right to pay a fine if you don't want to add to the arrest time. I'm leaving you phone numbers to request more information in case they can't solve something for you about the bull.
ok
It gets really wild on September 15th and December 24th and 31st. Recommended if you don't have anywhere to spend those dates: just take a car, a six-pack, drive drunk, and pray you get caught. Personally, I'd avoid going back there outside of those dates, especially if I have somewhere and someone to spend them with.
Excellent service and friendly staff. The food was the only downside. 24-hour security and a pleasant atmosphere. The lemon tea with a cinnamon flavor and chamomile color was the best. There's a shop and domino tournaments. I highly recommend it. I hope you visit soon.
Avoid drinking and driving! Otherwise this landmark could be useful weather you or your friends are used to do it. It's called "El Torito" (the little bull) and it's supposed to be where police take you if you're drunk while driving. If they take you somewhere else, then you are in bigger problems dude.
Mala comida.
My relative was there yesterday, but they lost the receipt they give out, and the company needs it because they were driving one of their vehicles and they have to get it out of the impound lot. They require the receipt... Does anyone know what to do in these cases? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm giving it three stars because the service is terrible and there's no internet or cell phone service, but the atmosphere is cool and the food is good ⭐⭐⭐
It's obviously not a good place to spend time. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. You must bring valid ID to enter. You are also allowed to bring food, except for cans, Tetra Pak, and glass. I also recommend bringing water, toilet paper, and wet wipes with a family member. Remember to leave everything with a companion, as cell phones and money are not allowed. You undergo a brief inspection upon entering, and you register.
Early Sunday morning, by chance, I had to spend the night there. They have a very aggressive guy who beat a kid pretty hard. Most of that night came for a breathalyzer, another for urinating in public, and even for littering. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to check the name of the caveman who beat him, but he didn't have to act violently. After hitting the kid (who didn't really do anything), he went after me. Honestly, I ignored him, and he didn't touch me. But I'm going to go look for him to see if he has the same balls outside as he does inside.
What happens when you get to the breathalyzer? When you get there, they'll take all your belongings, including your cell phone. You'll be able to talk during the transfer. They'll take everything you're carrying and issue you a receipt. Hand everything over and avoid any problems. There are old-fashioned payphones inside. There's a store that sells them, so write down the phone numbers somewhere so you can communicate. You go in and wait about 15 minutes. The judge welcomes you and asks you basic questions (your name, what kind of car you were driving, who you came with). Depending on how you look, he'll give you the hours. Afterward, a doctor will physically examine you or just ask you questions. Your arrest time starts counting down until the judge decides, not from the moment you're arrested, so it's best to get you there quickly. From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., you'll be in a cell with 8 other people. There are only two bunks, and the rest of you will stay on the floor on mats. At 6:00 a.m., they wake you up and you can't sleep. They give you small portions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food isn't good. You can use the bathroom at any time, but there's no soap or toilet paper, but you can buy food at the convenience store for 10 pesos. You can have visitors from 3 to 5, and they can pass you food in plastic containers, but anyone who goes there can't bring anything other than their ID and the food they're going to give you. There's a store on the corner that will hold your things for 25 pesos. You have breakfast at 7:00 a.m., lunch at 1:00 p.m., and dinner at 7:00 p.m., but in the store inside, you can get water and snacks for whatever money you left when you entered, so bring some cash. During this time, they give you individual and group talks to encourage reflection from the detainees. You don't pay a fine for the violation because they work the hours, but you do pay a towing fee of 915 pesos and an additional 95 pesos per day of storage in the impound lot. Plus, they'll take away your driver's license for a year. The staff is generally friendly, although they're very strict, but the facilities are very run-down, and it's definitely not pleasant to be inside; the time drags on. They'll tell you many versions of what's going on inside, but you should know that there's nothing you can do once they catch you, so it's best to cooperate. Don't fall for the injunction game, because you'll only spend more money, and in the end, you'll have to work the hours. They'll tell you many versions of what's going to happen, but this is what happened to us firsthand, hoping it helps you.
No ingresan teléfonos, dinero, tetrapack ,gorras etc .
The fines from the ladies on the corner in the early morning are 3,000 pesos. For now, it's best not to pay them and just do your required hours, because some impound lots are on vacation and they won't return your car until you've completed the required hours, which is about three months. It'll stay in the impound lot, obviously charging a daily fee. You can bring them food and water in plastic bags at any time; just knock on the door. You can also bring a phone card, and they can use it whenever they want; each call costs 3 pesos. Visiting hours are from 3 pm to 5 pm. You can eat with your trusted drunk there for two hours at your leisure. Some police officers are great guys and treat people very well. Others, well… let's not even mention them. Regarding: they didn't return my license. If you drink, don't drive.
I got a 4.2, which is the 4.0 limit. Even though they arrested me at 11:30 pm, I didn't end up in my cell to sleep until around 3:00 am. Because of their terrible system, they woke us up between 6:00 and 7:00 am to do the flag ceremony. They left us in the yard, and if you fell asleep, those pigs would nudge you with their foot to wake you up. Even though it's supposed to be a punishment, they don't even take it seriously. It feels like being scolded in high school. You can even see some officers mocking the detainees. Once I got out and signed for them to give me my things, one of them asked me for money, saying, "for tamales," while the others next to him laughed. He told me that if I left money, I should put it inside the notebook because of the cameras. It was a lesson for me not to drive after drinking again, but it was also a lesson in the state of the country in that regard. Sadness for citizens who also take being arrested as a joke, and sadness for the public servants we have.
