The fried chicken is just delicious! Steaming hot, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tried the plantains and cabbage and didn't like it, BUT I would come back and eat that fried chicken drumstick everyday if I could. $1 per drum stick. There are tables set up for dining in, but it's pretty basic. Street parking.
Delicious fried chicken. Amazing price. Lowkey spot. Real miami style.
Be ready for an experience. Great prices, tremendous quality and absolutely lovely staff. Be patient with them and they will be with you. Some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in my life and so be sure to get the pikliz for your pleasure.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. It’s so affordable and the meal is ALWAYS fresh, they have good specials on meals ($7) which is my favorite , I also love their amazing homemade tasting lemonade drinks, and even trays to feed a whole family at an affordable price. I’m addicted to this restaurant and will be a faithful loyal committed customer. Merci Beaucoup !
I saw an advertisement on this restaurant in Instagram, i gave it try because they said the fried chicken is the best and YESSSS IS THE BEST Crispy and Juicy! My kids and I loved it. The staff is really friendly :) they pack my order very well. We will definitely come back again!
Cool little haitain spot in lil haiti. You have to find the right time to go, if you go too late in the evening there will be lines. They close early because the chicken runs out fast. It's actually some of the best chicken I've had in my life and I grew up in Mississippi. Im a regular now.
Delicious crispy chicken legs and wings. Sauerkraut which goes as an addition is very spicy. Don't forget to grab any drink to put out the fire in your mouth. The market itself located in an interesting authentic neighborhood.
Great fried chicken and you cannot beat the price. Delicious and convenient takeout window. Homecooking, cheap and tasty. Highly recommend.
3 fried drumsticks and 4 huge plantains. Delicious and fresh. Just $3.25!! 😱❤️
The most delicious fried chicken and legume I've eaten
Great food to get on the go especially when you have no intentions on cooking that night
Amazing fried chicken. Looks like a hole in the wall and you would never think the food is 👍
Great food but the chicken are amazing for a dollar a piecw
Excellent place for great food and great service.I will recommend this to everyone.
the chicken is hot to order, but there seems to be a change... maybe under new management
The chicken is the best I’ve ever tasted from a restaurant!
Chicken drumsticks were amazing. Atmosphere nonexistent. But prices were great and reflected it. Do takeout.
Best fried chicken in the city! Been coming here for years and it has never lost its touch! Great prices too, especially their lunch specials!
The best fried chicken ever!! I don't know why they act like they're shocked when non Haitians come in this place... Their food is so good
🤝✌️💯
The fried chicken and plantains were delicious. The woman at the food counter were very pleasant and polite. Simple and tasty food.
Been coming here for years. Best chicken in town. Can’t beat the taste, service or price.
The chicken is great and the pikliz (which is pickled spicy cabbage) is so good you can eat it straight from the cup without the meat.
This is the place to find Miami's best fried chicken. Just give it a try and see what I mean, you won't regret it.
Don’t judge by the look of it…..very nice people—-wings only on Monday & Thursday….fried chicken, Griot and fried plantains were great!!
Great food, friendly people. We were looking for this place for 20 minutes, they remodeled the outside of the building. Looks much better.
Good price and great food.
Fried chicken is always so fresh! Taste and value can’t be beat
It’s a grocery store with the best Haitian fried chicken I’ve ever had!
Great place to get chicken for less than five bucks you can get more than that you're fried plantain and pikliz
Amazing, not a long wait, the food is delicious, employees very understanding and well mannered, it also looks very nice, the heart of little Haiti
If you have a large order it's best to call in advance. They do a great job of having it ready for you.
I don't go there anymore. But I remember back in the day I use to go there maybe twice a week for that chicken.
They have the best fried Chicken next to KFC and Cook food drinks friendly workers .
I been going there ever since I little and the food is never a disappointment! Everything be on point🔥🔥🔥🔥 #bestfoodplace
Perfect place for one of the best dirty chicken ever you can also get food for a gathering and not that expensive.
Love to come here for small plates . The price is nice good amount of food really good fried chicken.
Best Fried chicken in South Florida by far… Plantains with Pikliz🤗 The Best….
This is the second best fried chicken I've ever had (sorry, Pack, but Grandma takes the top spot). Not a fancy place, but it doesn't need to be. You can have three drumsticks with crispy skin and tender, juicy meat at a great price. Other items include rice and beans and fried plantains. Well worth visiting.
My favorite fried chicken place. It is insanely good and the price is impossible to beat! They close earlier than advertised these days, at 7pm. To the owner: I was there at 6:59pm on a Tuesday and the windows was shut, the front door locked. I called, but no one picked up.
One of the few places that was able to survive gentrification in this area. Its so cheap. it's crazy. 1 dollar per chicken and the pikliz come free with it, of course. 3 "tostones"(bunun) per 1 dollar. Yess this place looks questionable, and the service may be questionable, but they fry your chicken right there on the spot for hella cheap and its good. In a way, i wonder how they make a living with such cheap prices? They should raise their prices a little more to survive, but whatever. I leave here pay 3 dollars for a meal.
Classic Haitian Cafeteria styled establishment. The staff were all very sweet and kind. The food is served abundantly and is prepared fresh. I really enjoyed this meal from such great people. Peace and wellness, prosperity going forward.
WOW. OMG. Believe it or not. This is not a supermarket as we all know what a supermarket is. This place is an unbelievable fried chicken place out of this world. I believe this is own and ran by Haitians kind of like food to go with the only difference is that their food is very inexpensive and extremely delicious. Fried Chicken legs by the pieces $ 1.00 each; crispy, moist inside and absolutely delicious. Forget about ordering from KFC, Sport bars etc. You really want to go out of your way to get this.. GBCMD. Truly golden, brown, crispy, moist and delicious. Fantastic. Far out!!!!
I have been going here for years. The fried chicken, plantains, and picliz are delicious and cheap. Every time I'm in town, I have to visit. The customer service is terrible, btw, but it's part of the "charm" lol (you know this is true of most Haitian restaurants if you frequent them)
Best fried chicken you can get in Miami
Fried chicken and fried plantains are so delicious. It’s usually a wait cause of a line, and it’s super hot inside. But the food is worth it. Service is ok if you don’t speak creole.
#1 I love fried chicken! #2 this place is the BEST! My mom's friend (83 year old) told us about this place and that she would come here when she worked as a nurse for Miami Jewish Health. This place is still rocking it with the same recipe and serving up premium fried chicken. We just took her here the other day and she was in heaven. Only mistake we made was not taking pics of the magic before we ate. But we will be back for more that is for sure.
Hands down some of the best fried chicken you will get in Miami. The prices are unmatched! More of a grab and go establishment, just be ready for a long line. Well worth the wait though!
The best fried chicken in little Haiti, Although the atmosphere is not that pleasant the fried chicken drumsticks are amazing and I always like that they fry it fresh for me because I Drive a 40 minute drive to get to them.
I’ve been coming here for YEARS and the chicken is always the same perfect hole in the wall
El pollo
The chicken is good and it is made fresh everyday. When I got there the line was ten plus people long. I got a two piece with plantains. Someone after me got a twenty piece. That’s how I knew the chicken would be good. Pikliz was soo good with the chicken. Definitely some of the best chicken on Miami.
When I pulled up to this place I was surprised that I always passed it but never paid attention. That being said this place may not look like much but that fried chicken was everything everyone hyped it up to be. I did call to place an order and I would say for people who have never dined here it is confusing. I couldn’t find a menu or website so when I was ordering I realized you can pay for each drumstick which is $1! The plantains are 3 for $1. Large rice $4 but its best to just get a plate if you want everything. The customer service on the phone was surprisingly good. I was honestly holding my breath but the gentleman on the phone was patient with me. In store, I didn’t have to wait long either to pick up my order which is another known issue with Caribbean restaurants. The chicken drumsticks are huge. Crispy on outside, moist inside. The plantains were better than most places I’ve had. Rice and beans were good enough. Pikliz was good but I do like it spicier. Passion fruit juice was $3 and good but missing acid. All in all super cheap meal. Large portions. They take card and cash. Not Apple Pay at the moment.
Definitely provides a lot of food for what you pay $5 can get you about 3 pieces of chicken and 4-5 bununs The pikliz is not very spicy which I don’t like but still tastes good
One of the best fried chicken. U can get a 3 pc. With piklez for $2.25
I got the fried chicken with peas and rice the food was hot and good. However they were slow at taking my order. Other then that i would have given them a 5 star.
Went to the tuxedo place across the street. Smelled the fresh chicken cooking and had to try it. 3 pieces of chicken and plantains for $2! Great price and great taste.
This place, hands down has the crispiest, tastiest and most economical fried chicken in the Miami area. They keep it basic in terms of staff, they don't accept credit cards and the warehouse feel of the place is, well, because it is actually a rice warehouse. With Citadel across the street, Sherwoods a 2 minute walk away and Pack Supermarket has to upgrade to stay relevant and not get gentrified out of existence. For five stars: serve the same food but play music, serve beer and nix the styrofoam for paper containers for take away and plates for dine in. Dump the dusty broken game machines and make the warehouse part look neater. Update: thanks for the reply Pack Super Market. And thanks for accepting credit cards now. I noticed last weekend people paying with debit cards and it will be nice to keep the cash for tips not the main meal. You guys are awesome!
The line is ridiculous, however, the winners for me is the chicken and piklis! Whenever I don't feel like anything too heavy or complicated... I head there for chicken, piklis, and plantains! I love their piklis... eat it like a salad with chicken on the side lol!
There is this little restaurant attached to this building with a bunch of hatian ladies in there making hatian fried chicken, tostones, and pickilies. Man that place was always good food. Savoury, spicey, and addictive!!
Pretty good Haitan food recipes. And the staff were curious and friendly. Nicely priced meals.
Cheap, Easy Fried Chicken. Zoe's all day
The chicken is very good but the pikliz could’ve been better
Hidden Jewel. Best value in the city. This is a community staple. $$$$$ are amazing. You can feed the whole family on a budget
This is my go to Haitian Restaurant for catering fried chicken legs and rice. I rated it a 4 stars because they do not have anyone speaking creole and English. Unfortunately my father never taught me creole so its difficult to place an order. I always ask a customer standing near me to translate. Key thing for me they affordable for catering at a party or any event.
Some of the best haitian chicken amd plantins in town! Nice prices as well
This place has arguably the ABSOLUTE BEST (and DEFINITELY CHEAPEST) fried chicken in Dade county. The chicken drumsticks are the size that chicken IS SUPPOSED TO BE... Not the MICROSCOPIC pieces of poultry that all too often os served in restaurants nowadays.
No menu. Chicken drumsticks are what this place is known for. At $1/drumstick, the fried chicken is actually quite good. Cooked all the way through and a delicious but not spicy marinade. Served hot and steamy. Crunchy outside, light batter and delicious seasoning.
Chicken is always freshly cooked. The wait time is good as well. Prices are fair.
Only the fried chicken and the price is worth it. The rice and bean was full of cloves. No taste. No sauce was given to eat with the rice.
The fried chicken is always good but the people that serve you at the corner do not know or speak English. Very difficult to communicate, I know it's a Haitian restaurant but I always have to ask someone to translate for me. An they're slow.
It was ok chicken. I would not call it the best but it is good cheap chicken. The plantains were good and fresh.
I only go for the fried chicken legs... pretty good
The food is very delicious, but the service and atmosphere is terrible. Not every employee is rude, but there was one female employee who refused to serve me and/or take my order and I absolutely despise it.
Make sure you get fresh fried chicken it's tasty and affordable. You can eat here for under 5 bucks
Pros: This place has great food and you will get a lot of food for the price Cons: They are very disorganized. You will be waiting a long time for your order. They do not quality check so your order will be wrong 80% of the time if you are ordering on Grubhub bump that up to 90%. I ordered the Fried chicken lunch on Wednesday. All they gave me was chicken and cabbage lol no rice no plantains. I'm a still eat here though. Oh, and they never answer the phone.
Giving a three stars because I’ve been going for yearssssss. Since a kid and they were delicious… however as of recently they’ve fumbled so badly it hurts my heart. The chicken tastes wet on the inside and not that fried hard taste it use to have. It taste wet and bland now. The rice was bland as well and there was no salt on my fried plantain. This is not the Haitian way…. Literally everything tastes different… I’m unsure if they’ve replaced the old cooks or what, but please please please get it back to how it use to be/taste.
The food is good but it would be really nice if at least 1 person in the staff spome English. After all we are in America
I grew up eating here and today i wasn’t happy with my order. plantains were raw and pikilz had a sour smell to it. Why would you serve that
Not a fancy plate but worth the money! They customer service is terrible, need more English speakers or someone to take orders that has experience in customer service
Don't be fooled by prices on the web or even their posted menu. Prices are 60% higher and they don't honor their own posted prices. Place is dirty and bins of pre made food (e.g., goat) has been sitting out for who knows how long. And with the open walk up window, lots of flies coming inside and flying all over the place. I walked out rather than risk it.
They charge $17 for griot. I think the price is much too high, that or they were charging me extra cause I can’t speak creole. Before I had really good food here but it was $10. I expect more for $17
Waiting in line for 15 minutes without visible menus is pretty absurd. Wish I could have rated the food, but I wasn't going to wait any longer to just place my order, when there were only 4 people ordering food in the restaurant at the time, and 3 employees. I love checking out these small mom and pop style places, but you've got to be more inviting if you want new business.
Place is hot and food is not properly stored and the chicken had feathers on it!! Definitely won’t be going back! It was my first and last time!
They didn't want to serve me because the ladies tried to give me cold chicken but I didn't want it and they gave hot chicken to they race of people but didn't want to give me hot chicken.
Pack supermarket food has changed, I brought some food last week I threw it away. The chicken had NO taste. The rice had anchovies WHY!!!. I think the The original owner sold the place. Because the food quality was horrible. I won't be going back.
I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl things change. The women that work there are so disrespectful they assume that we don’t speak creole when we do the whole entire time they’re talking trash, which this is unprofessional and is not right. I didn’t even get the chance to get my food because it was so disrespectful I would never pay anybody that’s being disrespectful.
I love their chicken but since new management they have gone up on their prices.. to now where it is $1 per chicken and that is a rip off! BRING BACK THE OLD PRICES OR IM NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! -signed a loyal customer
The Customer Service is Disgusting. If you are not hatian, expect to get overlooked and treating like trash. The prices are low and the food is mediocre The attitudes will make you never come back
They food is not good and they place is so dirty with mold everywhere try to scam me I hand them my card they try to scam for 1800 dollars. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
This place is like walking in to a dungeon and the food is not good
it’s so sad to have to write this review I love the food especially the chicken i’ve been coming here for about a year I own a nail salon 2 blocks down, I recommend this place to all my clients till now. Do not go to this place unless you speak creole or French they will ignore you, skip you, make fun of you in creole , act like they don’t understand and disrespect you. This has happened to me multiple times the only reason I come back is because of the food unfortunately today will be my last visit I refuse to have to experience racism just because I want to purchase food I can’t understand why does the color of skin matter Or the language I speak. We are all equal! Avoid this place at all cost
I entered the business and there were customers standing and no one knew when it was their turn to be served. The employees are not able to try to organize, what they do is that they start speaking in their language and have no wish of helping to organize the customers to be able to serve them in order. I took the time to call the owner, who told me his name was Keith, to tell him that while I was on the line, 2 men started arguing because of the confusion over who was going to get serve first. The situation became so aggressive that I feared for my safety in that place at that time. 1 man began to verbally attack the other customer. Call the owner to let him know to put his business in order for everyone's safety and to invest time in training the staff to provide customer service. The food is good but they need organization and make customers feel welcomed and safe.
The man taking the orders is very nice and professional! However, the ladies definitely need to learn customer service!!! They are horrible!!! The service is soooooo slow and soooooo disorganized……food is definitely delicious but because of that negative experience, won’t be going there any time soon
The customer service was horrible no smile everybody looking tired The restaurant didn't have no hype about and food when I look to the back everything was in buckets the chicken the plantains I just paid for my food and I left I didn't even eat it😔
I used to come to this place almost 2 a week. This place has really gone down. The service is horrible and they overcharged fir the food. It a $1 a leg and a $$1 a plantain I came off better going to Popeyes.
