⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best rooftop experiences in Miami. When the elevator doors open at Sugar, it literally feels like you stepped into a hidden tropical jungle floating above the city. 🌴🌆 The skyline views of Brickell are insane, especially around sunset when the whole city lights up. The cocktails are strong and creative 🍹, the food is surprisingly great for a rooftop lounge, and the music + vibe make the whole place feel like a scene out of a movie. What I loved most was the energy. Everyone is smiling, taking photos, celebrating something, and just enjoying the moment. If you want the true Miami rooftop experience, this is one of the spots you absolutely have to visit. Pro tip: Go right before sunset — the view alone is worth the trip. — Chris Raborg (The Cyborg Project) 🤖✨
This place was really good. The drinks were presentable and tasted good. The food was very flavorful as well. My only complaint is that it was expensive but if you’re going here you can expect that. The atmosphere was amazing as well, I loved the trees and plants.
Food was delicious and vibe is amazing. Music make my body dance! Waitress Leslie very helpful and nice. She brought everything drinks fast and all her recommendations was 100% match with our taste:)
Amazing rooftop bar/restaurant experience in Brickell, downtown Miami area! Went there on a cold Sunday night for our anniversary, Bojana and Zully took great care of us, even gave us blankets to keep us warm at our table. Amazing skyline views all around, and love the vibes with trees and mood lighting. They do charge $100 per person minimum, but worth it for the experience, highly recommended!
Sugar in Brickell City Centre is one of the most memorable rooftop experiences in Miami. Perched 40 floors above the city atop the EAST Miami Hotel, this chic bar and lounge offers incredible skyline views, a vibrant atmosphere, and a lush garden‑style setting that feels both stylish and inviting. The drinks are creative and beautifully crafted, with an impressive cocktail program that pairs perfectly with the Asian‑inspired share plates and sushi. Whether you’re sipping handcrafted cocktails at sunset or dancing to DJ sets later in the evening, Sugar strikes the perfect balance between an upscale nightlife vibe and a relaxed social spot. What makes Sugar truly stand out is its combination of breathtaking views, energetic ambiance, and quality food and drinks. It’s great for date nights, special occasions, or just a memorable night out with friends. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, to secure the best views and table placements.
This was a great place for a happy hour cocktail and some good bites. The cocktails were really good and they also had some cocktail offerings. The bites were well fought out and well prepared and delicious. It was a little on the pricey side, but the ambience, the views, the good service Were all appreciated.
I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude. This place truly stands out not only for its amazing atmosphere, great food, and beautiful rooftop views, but also for the incredible people who are part of the team. I want to especially highlight Daniel and the dedication he brings to his role as server. His hard work, speed, organization, and positive attitude do not go unnoticed, even during the busiest and most demanding shifts. He consistently shows professionalism, teamwork, and a strong commitment to excellence, which makes a real difference in the overall experience.
The hostess were quite accommodating and our server was very polite and well knowledge on the menu. Her recommendation well delicious. The view was atmosphere was beautiful.
I visited on a Saturday evening, and although we waited about 30 minutes in line to get upstairs, it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is fantastic, a rooftop garden on top of a skyscraper, what more could you ask for? The bar offers a wide selection of excellent cocktails and drinks.
Some of the best views in Miami. Amazing skyline. Sushi style menu - we tried spring rolls and edamame both came quickly and were nice. The beauty of this bar along with the views is how it’s broken up into sections so with a group you could feel pretty private! Music was good and felt like a place that really picks up later on. For me we liked the mid afternoon lull so we could appreciate the view. Drinks were some of the best in Miami. Garnishes were beautiful and the bar was well set up to make sure if this. The garnishes were so beautifully set out I had to take a photo ;-)
For all the Celiacs, gluten free or vegan people I can not recommend this place enough. The staff were knowledgeable and gave us plenty of options. The seafood was super fresh. Best part I didn’t leave feeling sick and stressed, instead satisfied and enjoyed my evening.
We had an incredible experience at Sugar! Our server, Leslie, was amazing—super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire night. We ordered the octopus and the Wagyu, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For drinks, I got an espresso martini that was absolutely delicious, and my friends enjoyed a mojito and a Sex on the Beach—everything was on point. As an entrée, we tried the chicken wings and WOW… 10/10. Crispy, juicy, and so flavorful. The music and vibe were also amazing—definitely one of the best spots in Miami for a fun night out. Highly recommend!
favorite rooftop in Miami!! Service was on point, from the hostess to the bartender We got lucky and grabbed a table without a reservation The view from Sugar is unreal Don’t miss the steak and the chocolate mousse 😋
Such an awesome vibe at this restaurant. Really good food and our server Leslie was fantastic. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely return!
This is one of the best places in Miami to visit, absolutely loved and the min charge doesn’t matter, the food is delicious and the drinks and all make it worth it, special thanks to Bojana was our waitress and she was amazing and super attentive! Can’t wait to come back!
Maya was absolutely incredible. She was so knowledgeable about the drink menu as well as giving solid recommendations for food. We loved her. The vibe is so amazing. Earthy and club like vibes make for a great stop for food before a night out. Bang bang shrimp, brussel sprouts, tator tots and sushi. 💚
This is an amazing atmosphere! Leslie provided us great service! Drinks and food were delicious.

Tony Reno is amazing! He’s great at taking care of all of our needs. Even at a moment notice! Thank you Tony! Always looking forward to seeing you!!
Shuley was the best server, so attentive. What an amazing bridesmaids experience. If you’re in Miami celebrating please call and request her for seamless amazing service, and top tier ambiance, thank you Shuley, and thank you Sugar!!!
Bojana was the best server ever!!! She is amazing!!! We are going to come back 1000% thanks to her attention to detail and how nice she was. Food and ambiance were inmaculate!!!!! And please look at this view!!!! It was wowwwww

Renzo is the best! I had an outstanding experience at Sugar Rooftop, and it was all thanks to our waiter, Renzo. From the moment we sat down, Renzo delivered service that was truly above and beyond. He was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. Every recommendation he made was perfect, and he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. What really stood out was his professionalism paired with genuine kindness. Renzo treated us like VIPs the entire night, checking in at the right moments without ever being intrusive. His energy elevated the entire experience and made our night unforgettable. If you visit Sugar Rooftop, do yourself a favor and ask for Renzo. He turned a great place into an exceptional one. Absolutely 10/10 service I’ll be coming back because of him.
From the moment you walk into this rooftop, you can feel the energy and teamwork behind the scenes. Everything runs smoothly, even during the busiest nights, and that speaks volumes about the people who work here. I want to give a special mention to Daniel, who consistently goes above and beyond. His reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to help wherever needed truly stand out. He handles fast-paced shifts with focus and determination, always making sure the service keeps moving efficiently.
Maya is the sweetest!! Overall ambience, music, food and service was 10/10. Perfect for late night bites and cocktails. Vibes were so high, very impressed xx
Leslie was just amazing tonight! She was accommodating and gracious. We were celebrating and she made us feel so so special! Thank you so Much for such wonderful experience!
The most breath taking views in all of Miami. 10/10 will recommend. It is on the pricier side. But well worth the $ for a beautiful night.
Had the best time at Sugar! The food was fantastic and Maya was excellent with taking care of our group. She made sure everything we ordered was perfect and that we had a great experience which we definitely did.
Leslie was the best, extremely hospitable and gave the best drink recommendations! We enjoyed our time here, great vibe - would definitely come back!
Love the vibes. Great and well coordinated customer service delivery... from start to finish. Bar staff was attentive. She knew our drinks choices after the first few rounds and kept them flowing 😊. A beautiful crowd, great music, great "garden-type" rooftop atmosphere. My visit was a Friday night...totally packed, but we had reservations.... make reservations...they're needed.
My first time here. My sister ordered 2 drinks for me: Lemon Drop and Wicked Heaven. They were both good, but I loved thee Ginger flavor in the Wicked Heaven. I reviewed the entire menu before settling on the Bang Bang Shrimp and Sugar Roll (which contains Shrimp Tempura). The Bang Bang Shrimp was a hit in my hroup; even people that don't normally like Shrimp enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp. The Sugar Roll was okay, I would have enjoyed it more if the Shrimp Tempura stood out more. If there's ever a next time, I'll just get 4 orders of Bang Bang Shrimp. I also shared some Brussel Sprouts, and they were delicious. I live in Texas, but if I lived in the area I'd definitely come back.
I am so happy today I came back again and again! We had always had a good service, but talk about amazing! I will make sure I separate this and highlight it. Yosmani provides the best service I have ever seen! And I travel all over US He made sure our drinks were so perfect, he even brought them and before they finish he made sure our drinks were not melted and he brought ice the shot and the juice separate, and when the. Drinks before we’re almost done he made sure he fixed our drinks so we could enjoyed fresh beverage! I have never seen that before in Miami! I am speechless. Thank u Yosmani
I absolutely LOVE this place! My favorite rooftop in Miami. I’ve gone here many times and it never disappoints. The sushi is so good, one of the best ones I’ve had in Miami. The views are amazing and the whole atmosphere is so pretty. On weekends they do have a DJ and we like to go here to pregame before the club. However, if you just want a lively night out and want to end the night early, you can still go here, get drinks, small plates and just enjoy the vibes.
Absolutely stunning place! ✨ Sugar is beautifully designed and perfectly located. However, the day I visited it was extremely crowded — I could barely walk around and couldn’t even access the bar. It felt a bit claustrophobic, honestly. But I’m still giving 5 stars for the location, ambiance, and decor. I’d love to come back on a quieter day to enjoy it fully!
Renzo and dairon were absolutely amazing. Had my birthday dinner here tonight and they made it a night to remember! Food was amazing, and drinks were top tier. Definitely come here for any special occasion!
We had the most amazing time at Sugar. The location is perfect, the decor is incredible, the drinks are amazing. Our server, Leslie, was awesome. She took great care of us and her recommendations were always on point. Thank you Leslie, 100% recommend
Sugar is an incredible rooftop bar with breathtaking views of Miami’s skyline! The atmosphere is stylish and tropical, making it the perfect spot for a night out. The cocktails are expertly crafted, and the Asian-inspired bites are delicious. It can get busy, so arriving early is a good idea. A must-visit for great drinks, stunning views, and a chic ambiance!
Nice place to hang out with friends & family to have a drinks , eat & a good conversation as well service is A+ very friendly & helpful if you have any questions they would help out with no problem , good music and the view is amazing the food is amazing with good prices as well drinks are awesome very recommendable .
We Went last Sunday for my wife’s birthday and it was amazing! Our server Michele was the best!! he served us the best Aperol spritz and made us feel special! Gracias!
After an issue with service on another occasion, I was contacted by Sugar’s management to come back in to dine and make up for the previous experience. My guest and I were treated with utmost respect and very attentive service, and the food and drinks were delicious. The manager stopped by to personally speak with me and make us feel welcome. We had a wonderful evening and I am glad to be able to continue to recommend Sugar to friends and those visiting town. We had the Boneless Korean Chicken Wings, Bang Bang Shrimp, the Sugar Roll, Chilean Sea Bass, and Korean Short Rib.
Confusing and unfriendly hostess and hosts at the front but once you get settled inside we had an amazing time and service with Renzo. Food is better than most lounges but nothing noteworthy. There’s a cool jungle ambiance and DJ was awesome with regaton house vibes the kept us alive in the chilly January patio weather lol. Table service is worth it !
We had such an amazing time at the bar. The food service was fast and the drinks were unbelievable!!!!! JC took care of us and apart from being an amazing bartender, he was made us laugh all night long. He recommended us what to do in miami and our night was the best because of him. I highly recommend going to sugar for drinks.
Had an excellent experience at Sugar Miami! The food was outstanding, the drinks were amazing, and the view made it even more special. Sully was incredibly nice, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for great vibes, great service, and a beautiful spot to relax
I took my wife on a date night to Sugar Rooftop in 788 Brickel Plaza in Miami, FL. The experience was exceptional from start to finish. At the door, Tony welcomed us warmly, setting a positive tone for the evening. Our server, Mayae, provided outstanding service throughout. The food was excellent, the attention to detail was remarkable, and the skylight view was absolutely breathtaking. Thank you to the entire team for making our evening truly memorable.
The one place in Miami with great service!!! Vibes are immaculate. Our server Bojana was very attentive, very knowledgeable with the menu, and kind! The host (maybe) Tony was also excellent, he checked on us a couple times and was very kind! The food was fantastic! It’s very hard to find places in Miami with both great food and SERVICE, every restaurant usually lacks in the service because of the required tip, but not Sugar! 10/10 recommend
I had a great experience at this place . The atmosphere was vibrant but still comfortable, perfect for a night out with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, The cocktails here are amazing—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The bartenders are skilled, friendly, and really know how to make you feel welcome. I recommend to ask for JC super friendly and makes amazing cocktails, it’s a spot I’d definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again
Leslie took just good care of us. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and drinks and gave us great recommendations. We were so happy to have her as our server. We had a great time!
OMG, we love Sugar now! Such a beautiful rooftop with an amazing vibe — relaxed yet lively, and the views are incredible. The drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Junie was outstanding — super friendly, attentive, and really knows how to craft the perfect cocktail. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend this spot, and especially Junie behind the bar!
We had an amazing time arriving at golden hour to enjoy the stunning views. The cocktails were expertly crafted, the music set a perfect vibe, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is unbeatable, with a lively yet relaxed energy, and the people there added to the great experience. If you're looking for a memorable evening in Miami, Sugar is the place to be.
Food is amazingly tasty, and the service is unmatched. Big thanks to the man, TONY. He’s the real G. Without him, the tearoom isn’t the tearoom. Carolina, and Cathie are also fantastic managers with top tier customer service. They always are there for anything we need. Renzo is the best server there is.
We had an incredible experience at Sugar Rooftop Restaurant, enjoying breathtaking views alongside expertly crafted dishes. The cocktails, vibrant appetizers, and ambiance were exceptional, blending flavors and atmosphere perfectly. The staff went above and beyond—attentive, thoughtful, and keen to enhance our visit, even helping us capture stunning photos. The price we spent was absolutely worth the hype for such a memorable evening!
A remarkable venue with stunning views! The food and drinks are excellent quality, and while it is on the pricier side, the location in Brickell on a high floor makes it well worth the experience. The sushi board and expresso martini ice cream are highlights! There’s also outdoor seating, private tables, and a lively bar. An absolutely must!
I went to Sugar for Saturday evening drinks. Not super hungry, so I only had the brisket baos, the tuna tartar, and a few beers. The food was absolutely delicious, and I hope to go back there soon for dinner. The staff was also really nice and sat us quickly despite not having a reservation. Added more pictures from another visit. Solid food and great vibes. Only recommend getting there early because it can get crowded.
Stayed at EAST all week and Sugar was the charm. Great vibe, great hosts. Best spot in brickell for mix of high end lounge/club in the sky. Can’t beat the views and service is best I’ve seen in town.
I absolutely love this place. Definitely one of my favorite rooftop bars in Miami. Stunning panoramic views of the city and bay. The multi-tiered layout provides an enchanting atmosphere. Their signature cocktails are expertly crafted, offering a delightful complement to the vibrant ambiance and breathtaking sunsets. Note: it’s really packed during sunset/night time so it is best to reserve or come in earlier to grab a seat with a view.
Amazing experience! The staff was very attentive without being over bearing. Jesus and Keith did a wonderful job at the bar top. Their mixology was sehr lecker! Atmosphere is perfect! You have awesome views of the cities through the beautiful foliage. I went for drinks and a light snack. I enjoyed both of my cocktails and my Tuna Tartar was lovely. Will definitely go next time I am in Miami
Amazing Service from Maya at Sugar Rooftop Lounge! I had an incredible experience at Sugar Rooftop Lounge thanks to Maya’s outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive, friendly, and truly made our whole group feel taken care of. Maya anticipated our needs, recommended great drinks, and kept everything flowing seamlessly throughout the night. She went above and beyond not only managing our entire party with ease but also helping us with smooth entrance and access into the Tea Room. Her professionalism and warm personality made the evening memorable. If you’re visiting Sugar, ask for Maya. She made our night exceptional!

We had such a great time at Sugar. The food definitely surpassed our expectations and the tater tots are a MUST have. The Rise & Shine felt a little watered down but their Lychee Martini was delish. I’m giving it 4 stars out of 5 because the service was not great. When you have a minimum consumption of $100 per person & automatically include 20% tip, you expect the service to be top notch. Either way, this place is such a vibe and gives you great views of Miami.
Went here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday & it honestly exceeded all my expectations! After reading the reviews, I was praying to get decent food & service - but I have no complaints. Everything tasted so fresh, the waiter was always checking in on us, and we all had a great time! Yes, each person has to spend a minimum of $100 butttt for the amount of food & drinks you get, it’s not that bad. If you have a party of 4, don’t sleep on the sushi boat!!!!! Would def recommend for a special occasion.
Sugar is a delightful spot with a great atmosphere. The ambiance is vibrant and cozy, making it a perfect place to relax. The food is delicious and well-prepared, though there’s room for improvement in some dishes. Service, unfortunately, was a bit slow and could use some attention. Overall, it’s a great experience, and I would still recommend it for the atmosphere and tasty food. Would love to see the service improve for an even better experience!
Loved coming here! The drinks and atmosphere are so fun. Great music. Leslie was a wonderful server and took care of us all night.
AWESOME views at a cute little tuck away rooftop! Chic, swanky vibe... Keith was amazing at the bar, from the time I walked up to the time I left. He made great drinks and got my food orders. Brussel sprouts were a bit burnt, but I like a little char, lol. Beautiful views of the skyline and surrounding buildings.
"Sugar is an incredible rooftop bar with stunning views of Miami! The ambiance is stylish, the drinks are well-crafted, and the sushi and ice cream were fresh and delicious. The total bill for two was just $100, which is quite reasonable for such a trendy spot. However, the service was a bit lacking—slow and not very attentive. Despite that, the atmosphere and the view make it worth a visit. Just be prepared for some waiting time if you go during peak hours.
This isn’t or wasn’t on my list in Miami/Brickel but we were invited and we went with no expectations. First let me say that you have to spend a minimum of 100 pp which wouldn’t be hard if it were worth it. It is not. What is worth it is going to the bar to get what is a solid well made drink or 2 and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and avoid that service charge then go out for some good food But we stayed with friends and ordered lot of expensive mediocre food. What they call sushi, is mostly rice with a little fish. You will be well served to avoid this place to eat but def go for a drink! Then find a decent restaurant

The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is very good, but the way they treat customers, with distrust, searching before you enter the restaurant and holding credit cards, is regrettable. I was well attended to by the waitress who served our table, but overall I thought the treatment given to customers was poor. Too expensive to be treated like a criminal. That's why I wouldn't go back. A place to go once just to get to know it.
Nice vibe, pricey drinks, pricey table reservation, i guess you pay the view. I wish the sunset could be seen more from the roof top. The day we went it was crowded with little space to hang out. Workers kept walking by with huge bins of glasses. Would give it another try. Drinks were good. Very polite bartenders.
Nice spot for the views. They are weirdly aggressive if you don’t have a reservation. I was sitting in the non reservation spot minding my own business and the security guard approached me and said I can only look over there but I can’t go sit referring to the table areas. I wasn’t moving or trying to move, just sitting looking at the views. Then when I was trying to leave and walking to the exit I was told by multiple people that I can’t go there and when I asked them where the exit was they pointed the way I was going. Then I got to the elevator and the security guard rushed up when I got in the elevator and reprimanded me for not checking which elevator I was getting into. I had checked and it was the correct elevator. I mean props to the hotel for making sure security is top notch but it was all weirdly aggressive for someone just trying to get a 25$ drink and see some nice views.
Wanted a nice Saturday cocktail and a few appetizers under the sun with a nice view. The rooftop was beautiful. The service was inattentive and awkward. I was the only person at the bar, there were just 2 other parties and 1 was wrapping up, with no obvious reasons as to why the service was so challenged. Music was far too loud for the vibe. Had very basic sushi, never had a napkin for my lap, just a box of paper cocktail napkins like I was at a McDonald’s. I was warned this place was a tourist trap. I should have listened.
Beautiful spot. Amazing drinks. Just beware that sitting at a table is a $100 per person and to cancel your reservation it’s $50 per person. :) learned the hard way. We started at the bar spent $120 on 4 drinks just to sit down and have to pay another $400 minimum (we had 4 people in our party) they wouldn’t carry over our bar tab to the table.

I went to Sugar during the day time to try the drinks. Although empty except for two other groups, I was never greeted initially. After wandering while to decide where to sit, a staff member finally came over to say hello and give us a QR code for the menu. When we decided to move to a spot with more sun, that staff member never spoke to us again. The bartender did a great job at making the drinks, but again the friendliness was lacking.
I went to Sugar Miami for a night out and was pretty disappointed. We didn’t get a chance to eat because the waiter never came to our table, it was just too busy. We ended up leaving the table and heading to the bar for drinks, but it was insanely crowded, like shoulder-to-shoulder, which made it really uncomfortable. It’s such a shame because the rooftop has an amazing view of the city, but the vibe was completely ruined by the crowding and lack of attentive service. We had to leave, and it was a disappointing experience overall.
Vibe? 5 stars. It’s a shame because out of all the spots in Miami, Sugar has the atmosphere and a killer vibe. Not a good place if you’re hungry as it’s more or less a sushi place (so don’t go here for dinner) but great place for drinks and bites. Bar staff is amazing too, seasoned and always friendly. My experience: Took my CEO out for drinks/food for his Birthday here. $500 minimum for a table for 4, no problem. Food & drinks came out slow, waited almost 25 minutes for some plates, not a big deal. What killed the night was the fact that we were informed after 1.5hrs that we will need to vacate the table soon because there was a 2hr maximum on the tables. Not only will they hide that detail from you online, they will make you sign a credit card slip at the hostess stand and NOT tell you about it. So you essentially will get 2hrs to send $500 and if you don’t, well off to the bar you go. It took 4 separate individuals and 7 interactions with the staff to explain that we are not satisfied as it is not our control how fast the food/drinks come out, and that it was my CEO’s Birthday. They never said a word until the very end of the dinner after completely killing our mood with the situation. I was extremely disappointed, and will not recommend this spot ever again for anything more than drinks. The manager at the hostess stand was extremely unhelpful, stating the obvious and challenging my concerns rather than listening and providing much more of a solution outside us “we will provide you with another 30 minutes” to wrap up our night. I’ve scaled 2 restaurants so I am not like..Gordon Ramsey per-say, but it’s extremely sad to see this place have so much potential but have such stupid policies and poor staff taking away from it. Waitress felt horrible and was very kind. I was disappointed they put a mandatory 20% tip on the tab after all of this, i would have tipped her for trying to apologize (8 times) and make our night better, but wow…overall cannot express my disappointment any more. Establishment quality this low in Off-season is a poor sign for Brickell, a place people come to pay 1000’s for exclusive vibes.
I would have rated this experience higher, but first impressions matter. During our visit to Miami before our cruise vacation, our hotel concierge recommended Sugar. The service getting us to the 40th floor was great, and we were excited to see the rooftop. Upon arrival, we were greeted by security, who scanned us for entry. However, he noticed that we were wearing sandals and informed us that we could not enter because we did not meet the dress code. We were told men could not wear sandals and must have closed-toed shoes. At first, we thought it was a joke, but unfortunately, it was not. We explained that we were on vacation and leaving for a cruise the next day, asking if an exception could be made. The security staff apologized but said they could not make exceptions due to the dress code. I mentioned that the dress code was not posted anywhere, but he said it could be found online. However, when I checked again later, I did not find anything explicitly mentioning the sandal restriction, though I did see that there is a stricter dress code after 6 pm. It was 5:10 pm when we arrived. Fortunately, our hotel was nearby, so we were able to change into the appropriate shoes and return. Of course, if this policy was posted clearly, all of this would not have been necessary. Furthermore, a policy that tends to discriminate one gender over another should never have been administered. Once we got in, the views of the city were nice, and the drinks were good. Overall, it was an okay experience, but given the initial frustration, it is not a place I would visit again.
Service, vibe was great but that was about it! The drink was meh I wouldn't believe there was alcohol if I didn't see him make it. I will say the sushi was good but not worth $20 but I know that's miami prices but omg these $20 boneless wings ruined my night! First of all they fatty and I got them to go so I would've sent it back if I opened my box there.. Complete disappointment

Very disappointing experience. We were denied entry despite being well dressed, just because I was wearing elegant shorts. What makes this even more ridiculous is that women right behind us were allowed in wearing very revealing outfits, and while we were waiting in line, people were leaving the venue wearing completely ripped jeans — apparently those were perfectly acceptable. The door policy is clearly inconsistent and outdated, based on double standards rather than actual style or elegance. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back.
Very disappointing experience. We arrived well-dressed and excited to enjoy the place, but from the very entrance the attitude was cold and unwelcoming. Security asked for IDs in a very rude manner, which immediately set a negative tone. At the reception, we were told that in order to get a table we must pay $100 per person, otherwise we could only stand at the bar and order drinks or food. This requirement was not communicated anywhere beforehand and felt forced and unreasonable. Because of this poor and unfriendly treatment, my friend and I decided to leave. Unfortunately, this experience completely ruined our expectations and left us with a very bad impression. A venue that prides itself on luxury should also prioritize respect and transparency with its guests.
Worst experience ever. We booked a table to celebrate three couples’ wedding anniversaries, with a $100/person minimum spend, which we exceeded. Right when we were having the best time—they abruptly closed our tab and forced us out because “reservations are strictly 2 hours only.” BTW plenty of empty tables, yet they made us leave while we were still ordering and spending,
Terrible experience. From the moment you walk in, the bartenders are rude, arrogant, and clearly uninterested in providing good service. Constant bad attitudes and making you feel like they’re doing you a favor just by serving you. To make matters worse, they added extra charges to my card without any prior notice or explanation, which is completely unacceptable. When questioned, no one could give a clear answer. This place shows zero respect for its customers. Awful service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and a very disappointing experience. I chose the wrong place and will definitely never return.
I went to sugar for a drink with friends. When I asked them for a table at the front the hostess was dealing with someone else at the same time and said it was a “100 dollar minimum” she never said per person. Then made me sign a document in a very dark room. At the end they kicked us out after only an hour and the server barely came up to us the whole night. They told us it was a per person minimum but we were never informed of this. Genuinely some of the worst service and some clear malicious intent to scam people. Very disappointing. She then said it was clearly stated on their website but I had never been on their website. Very disappointing.
🌆 Sugar Rooftop – Brickell: A View Worth a Thousand Words, but the Experience Fell Short I recently visited Sugar Rooftop in Brickell, expecting an unforgettable fine-dining experience—but what unfolded was more style than substance. Let’s start with the service, which felt awkward from the moment we ordered. We placed our selections in proper order—appetizers, main course, espresso, and dessert—but the execution was all over the place. Dessert was served before the main dishes, which instantly broke the rhythm of the meal. It’s a perfect example of what happens when a restaurant prioritizes productivity over customer satisfaction and culinary flow. The menu itself was surprisingly limited. Despite the restaurant’s high-end image, there wasn’t much to explore—few options, little creativity. The focus seems less on gastronomy and more on making sure guests meet the $100+ per person minimum, which cheapens the luxury experience. Before even arriving, we received four separate text reminders about the dress code—so naturally, we arrived dressed to impress, in suits fit for a royal event. Yet most guests were in shorts and pullovers, and we stood out like we had just landed from another planet. It left us wondering if those messages were more for show than for consistency. The ambiance and rooftop view remain undeniably beautiful—that’s where the magic of Sugar truly lies. But beyond that, the lack of coordination, warmth, and genuine culinary expertise dimmed what could have been a five-star night. In the end, I expected Sugar to feel like a dream above the city lights. Instead, it felt like walking down an ordinary sidewalk—expensive, disorganized, and emotionally flat.
We arrived well dressed, and my father—who is very presentable—was turned away at 4:00 p.m. solely because he was wearing designer sandals. There is no footwear or dress-code disclaimer posted on the website or anywhere on the premises. Immediately afterward, a woman wearing shorts and visibly worn flip-flops was admitted without issue. I have dined here previously for dinner. The view is nice, but the food was mediocre and the atmosphere is not truly high-end—it’s a casual patio setting at best. This inconsistency in standards is disappointing and likely explains why the restaurant no longer appears busy.
First of all, the waiter Was very, very rude to my sister, although I accepted to pay $300 for three persons for 3 drinks only With the manager and he told me whatever I want, I can sit, but then the Little waiter Did not want to give us the table we wanted Although the place was empty She was being very frustrated by people. I guess she doesn’t like people I wonder where she works there meeting people every day anyways, and because she didn’t want to serve us she told the manager that we were rude to her We just wanted to sit by the view, not looking at the high rises on the other side where she wanted to take us. She got annoyed that we didn’t accept the table that she gave us and we wanted to sit on the other side, which we have every right because the manager told us we can’t sit whatever we want and the manager was giving us the 3rd chair, but then she was frustrated. I told the manager that she didn’t want to serve us. Is this an acceptable behavior you don’t wanna serve me well that is the first in my life. Everything happens for a reason we had the best time in another beautiful rooftop. Thank you for not Serving us in your Little rooftop
-Took out-of-town friends for drinks and the mojitos were THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD. They tasted like diluted rum in minty water .... I told the bartender that if they couldn't make a good one that I prefer to order a "house" cocktail and he insisted he made "the best" - I never said anything and paid and tipped additional to the included 20% - By chance I ran into a bartender and I told him my experience and this was his response: 1.) IT WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE I DIDN'T GO TO A CUBAN BARTENDER (he said that verbatim .... so as a patron, I need to inquire about the ethnicity of the bartender ... depending on the drink) 2.) I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED ONE OF THEIR SPECIALTY DRINKS BECAUSE THEY DON'T SPECIALIZE IN MOJITOS (in Miami at a FULL BAR !!! they don't know how to make a basic drink ?!?!). The worst part is: I DID ASK if it was better to get a house cocktail and he insisted he made "the best mojitos" 3.) THAT I HAD NO IDEA WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE HOUSE AND THEY GIVE THE BEST EXPERIENCE AND HAVE THE BEST TRAINING AND HAVE AN IN-HOUSE MIXOLOGIST (which doesn't reflect) ****NOTE: BY THIS POINT HE HAD BECOME AGGRESSIVE WITH MENACING DEMEANOR **** ..... AND SAID I WAS INSULTING HIM AND HIS CREW AND HE HAD WORKED IN MANGO'S (an old inconsequential bar in Miami Beach) AND HE KEPT SAYING I WAS INSULTING HIM (although I never used aggression or profanity) .... if his attitude is a reflection of their training then THEY HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO !!!! IF YOU LIKE BAD AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE (BORDERING ON VIOLENT), BAD DRINKS WITH A SIDE OF AGGRESSION,THIS IS THE PLACE !!!!!!! .... and good luck getting someone's attention just for information about getting a table. far from being thankful that someone politely brought a problem to their attention, the employees of this place will act VERY SELF-ENTITLED AND AGAIN, BORDERING ON THE VIOLENT ..... VERY MIAMI This is a place for an expensive instagram moment and THAT'S IT ! If you want a quality rooftop experience ... LEVEL 6 in Coconut Grove is much much better and the drinks truly feel "Crafted" .... or ASTRA in Wynwood .... or WATR at THE ONE HOTEL (their nikkei menu is SOOOO GOOD). Even CITADEL in Little River offers a more unique and fun rooftop experience.
I strongly recommend staying away from this venue. My experiences with the staff at Sugar and Tea Room were extremely disappointing, and it seems clear that something in their management or operations has changed. This may explain why fewer classy, self-respecting patrons appear to be attending compared to the past. I used to visit these venues frequently, but on one occasion I was abruptly escorted out without any explanation. I later heard from others that if you are not continuously purchasing drinks, staff may single you out and ask you to leave. I am not a heavy drinker, but had I been treated with basic respect, I would have gladly spent full evenings there enjoying dinner and supporting the business. On previous visits, security staff would oddly sit next to me and ask if I was “okay,” as if there were an issue when there clearly wasn’t. On another occasion, I was simply told to leave with no explanation whatsoever. I am a well-dressed, respectful, and well-groomed individual, and the only apparent reason for this treatment seemed to be that I was not repeatedly purchasing overpriced drinks or reserving a table. Look out for a short mini version of Jackie Chan looking staff who goes around taking notes and passing the message to security. Staff constantly patrol and watch guests throughout the venue, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and discourages patrons from ordering at their own pace. Instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, I felt pressured and unwelcome. Additionally, having previously worked closely with city code compliance, I noticed that the hallway connecting Sugar and Tea Room appears far too narrow during their over-capacity weekend nights. In the event of an emergency, this could potentially present a serious fire hazard. I am unsure whether the city or fire department is aware of this issue. I am a reasonable and respectful person, and I would not have posted this review had management simply provided an explanation or apology after I reached out privately. I did receive an initial response saying they would follow up, but no further communication ever came. Brickell now offers many better options, and I have been treated far more professionally at other venues. Until I receive a sincere apology and a genuine welcome back, I see no reason to remove this review or return.
Used to be one of my favorite spots, however the food quality has gone down tremendously and the service is nonexistent. The manager claimed that the bar and restaurant service are run by different companies, and as such our $100 drink order at the bar did not count towards the minimum consumption at our table. They tried to offer us $30 shots to artificially increase our bill, but everything was such a turn off we were not interested in any additional food or drinks. I would highly recommend Gekko and Sexy Fish, the ambiance is much better there and the service is superb.
My husband and I were in Miami and decided to try out this rooftop bar. We made a reservation online and at that time we're not made aware that there was a minimum for each person. We were just interested in going and having cocktails and And appetizer. The day of the reservation, we got a text confirmation saying we had a reservation and in that Confirmation and only in that confirmation did it say that there was $100 minimum per person so we proceeded to cancel the reservation because we weren't gonna spend that much and no other time what we made aware that there was a cancellation fee or that there was a minimum per person. We ended up going we sat at the bar. We had two drinks. We had some appetizers and we left. I got home and noticed that there were two charges on my credit card one for the cancellation of the reservation and the purchases that we did make. The restaurant was not busy at the time so they weren't holding any tables. I reached out to the host Brian. Who responded and basically said too bad. So this place stole $70 from my cc. Even though we went and spent money there. I will be reaching out to my cc company. Anyone that goes check your credit caed reciepts as they steal from people This was never once told to US when we made the reservation. Only when we recieved the text message the day of. Never got an email nor did it say it when reserved... place is shady dont go
