We had such a lovely lunch at Udon! From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and smooth. Manuela, our server, was incredibly attentive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The bartender and hostess were just as warm and professional — you can really tell the whole team works together to create a great experience. The ramen were excellent — rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every bite was comforting and satisfying. I especially loved the lychee Moscow mule — refreshing, slightly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal. Overall, such a great spot for lunch. Delicious food, amazing drinks, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!
Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the timing was spot on. What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jose David. His service was outstanding — attentive, friendly, professional, and always making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Jose David went above and beyond and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had thanks to his excellent service. We will definitely be coming back and asking for him again. Highly recommended!
Such a great surprise and honestly one of my new favorite spots in the Dadeland area. The rolls were delicious and super unique. Instead of traditional rice, they’re made with noodles, which I wasn’t sure about at first… but wow. It was surprisingly amazing. Light, flavorful, and such a fun texture. I almost prefer it to rice now. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and really high quality for the price. You definitely feel like you’re getting great value for what you pay. What really stood out though was the service. The manager was incredible. My friend brought her 8-month-old, and before we even had to ask, he brought over a high chair and cleaned it himself. So attentive and thoughtful. It made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Also, the sake recommendation was spot on and paired perfectly with the food. Great food, great prices, and genuinely caring service. We’ll absolutely be back.
The food was so good! I got a pork dumpling as an appetizer that were good but the truffle chicken udon was absolutely amazing! I cleaned my plate. The restaurant has a nice and relaxing vibe, with nice lofi music which adds to the nice chill vibe. The interior is also filled with cool little knickknacks like lucky cats and sumo wrestlers and the bar has a really cool tv system that shows cherry blossoms and more chill imagery. The service was impeccable! I knew I wanted Udon but I didn’t know which to get and Albany, my waitress/bartender made an expert recommendation with the truffle chicken udon. The service is also very quick I got my food in a very timely manner and the staff are very nice and patient. I would highly recommend dining here!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best noodle spot I’ve tried! Their sushi noodles concept is super creative — amazing flavor. It was my first time trying it, and honestly, I loved it. The ramen was a solid 10/10. I had the curry ramen, and if you’re into spicy food, this one’s for you. For starters, I ordered the salmon tataki — a bit salty for my taste, but still really good. Big shoutout to Albany for her great service, and to Ricardo and Antony at the bar — they made the whole experience even better. The place feels cozy and welcoming. I’d come back in a heartbeat!
Cool place. Great service. Great food. Tried the salmon tataki and the curry Ramen. Both were really good. Some of my freinds and my wife ordered drinks and the presentation of drinks is very unique as you can see from the photo below. Highly recommend. Not from Miami but this mall was too crowded
I came here on a whim for CFP finals (yes it was playing here) and I would definitely go back for like a date. The restaurant was pretty empty besides our large group but I think the staff was a bit overwhelmed since it work a while to get help, it definitely could have been faster. The food was fast though and exceptionally good I would come on a less crazy night. Not many people come here and I think they should.
I am very satisfied with my visit to Udon. We had a delicious lunch and great service from Albany. We started with an order of Tokoyaki, pork buns, and the appetizer trio, all were 10/10. Then we tried the pad Thai and miso ramen which were also both so delicious. I will definitely be returning to Udon!
Finally Kendall has a great Asian cuisine. Ricardo was our server and was very attentive to what we were looking for, asked for allergies issues which is always a plus and had excellent recommendations! Service was A++++. Hope to have Ricardo serve us again in the near future!
Alejandro was a wonderful server tonight at UDON Dadeland! We enjoyed an order of the pork bao buns and I got the Kimchi Chicken Udon with a marinated egg and it was absolutely delicious! The inside is decorated beautifully and the food was presented on gorgeous dinnerware. I am definitely coming back and highly recommend for any noodle lovers or someone looking to try something new and delicious! Thank you again to Alejandro for tonight’s service! :)
Loved this place! The pork bun and Surfing Mix Roll were amazing 🤤 Everything was fresh and super tasty! Big shoutout to Alejandro!! For being so friendly and attentive! He made the whole experience even better! The restaurant is so beautiful, I definitely will come back!
I had an incredible time at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. Johannes and Ricardo really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Every dish we ordered was delicious — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell there’s a lot of care and passion behind the food. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, a nice atmosphere, and excellent service.
Amazing! I ordered the black truffle udon with marinated chicken and wow genuinely so delicious. Linda our server was very attentive and helpful! Definitely will be back

Enjoyed lunch at Udon Dadeland. Very tasty dishes with enough to share. Great portion sizes. Staff was very friendly and bilingual. Atmosphere is very relaxing. Definitely recommend if you are in the mall or close by.
Great food!! The sushi is so amazing and different. Is made of noodles and not rice. The presentation is fantastic
José David was an excellent server, adding to that, the food was outstanding. The ambience and cocktails amazing! Definitely will come back to try something different since everything looked delicious.
I tried this new place in Dadeland and it’s so good! Finally you. A find healthy food even in a mall like Dadeland, it is such a great find! The restaurant has a clean, modern vibe and the service is consistently friendly and fast. Their noodles are always fresh and perfectly cooked, and the flavors are authentic without being too heavy. I loved the variety on the menu from classic udon bowls to delicious appetizers and sushi options. Everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect spot for a comforting, flavorful meal whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner. Must: - pork buns!! - chicken Yalu Udon Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to! 🍜✨and when you go tell them Flavia Sent You!
I love udon, so I was excited to try the food. I asked for a chicken ramen, changing the ramen noodles for udon noodles. The udon noodles were perfect, super chewy and held the broth perfectly however the broth itself wasnt for me. It was good but it tasted to salty. Besides that the environment was nice, a single table for single seaters. Just maybe a bit less salt in the broth
My daughter and I went here for her 30th birthday. The restaurant is pretty and the food is yummy. The music is a bit loud. They have vegan and vegetarian options. Both our orders came out wrong, but I ate mine anyway so we only had to have my daughter's remade. Perhaps it's a learning curve for either the server or kitchen? I would go there again probably because the food is good.

I’m not sure if there was just a quality issue the night I went, because this place is nothing like how the other reviews make it out to be. The food itself is just ok, mediocre at best. The quality itself is fine, but my issue is there is a lack of taste and lack of really anything. We ordered the tiger shrimp tempura, takoyaki, Chicken Curry Udon, and Tonkotsu, and my main issue for everything is that it lacks salt. For example, the tiger shrimp tempura and the tempura broccoli: the batter itself is flavored fine and fried well, but the shrimp and broccoli are not seasoned at all prior to the fry. This makes the dish overall very lack luster and overall bad, then to top it all off it’s coated in what tastes like jarred spicy chili sauce. The same could be said about the chicken katsu that comes with the curry udon- it just ends up falling short because the actual meat is under seasoned. Takoyaki also has this issue- delicious batter and topping with a bland sad piece of octopus inside. My other issue is the soups for the udon/tonkotsu. Usually Japanese curries and tonkotsus are rich, dreamy, and hearty. Both soups today were so thin and not very developed in flavor. There is no slow simmer broths here, and it really is not better than an instant powdered soup. My curry udon specifically was like they skimped on the curry block roux- like it was an essence of curry soup. The veggies in my soup also tasted like they were just parboiled in plain water before being added to my bowl. Overall, food is so bland and mediocre. Truly a home chef who buys a block of udon from the local asian mart can stir up a better noodle bowl than this. ESPECIALLY for this price point. My other issue is the service is bad. Waiter was a nice guy but has very poor hospitality? Never introduced himself, and just asked us “is water ok?” before heading off to who knows where. Worst thing was the table who sat down after us ordered and finished eating their appetizer before our waiter came back to us to take our order. I’m still not even sure if he was actually our waiter vs some other person working there who noticed no one was helping us. Don’t fall for this gimmicky mediocre spot. Much better spots to eat noodles than this place. Maybe a redeeming factor are the drinks/cocktails, because I do love the ambiance of this place and the lucky cat drink vessels. Overall- not worth your time, money, or stomach space. You are much better off trying to make these dishes on your own. I think Aoki across the path is a much better Japanese alternative than this spot, which is sad because I really wanted to like this place.
Fresh noodles, yes, please! Found this place on Instagram and wanted to try it. The food was a little disappointing. We ordered a few different dishes and some were fabulous while others fell flat. We could see the alcoholic beverages being served in cool cups that were different characters. The salmon thai salad was our favorite as well as the nebayaki Udon which we got switched out to because the kimchi one we originally ordered was EXTREMELY salty. We had mentioned it several times to our server who just ignored it. Finally, we asked her directly if she could bring us a different broth for us to scoop our noodles into because this one was too salty. She got help from someone else and he was able to replace our kimchi udon for the nabeyaki and that tasted much better. The tiger shrimp tempura was very disappointing. We ordered it because it looked like it was a generous portion and it looked so tasty, but when we received it we realized that it was mainly filler vegetables that were the deep fried and there was barely any shrimp. Also, it was a little on the sweet side. The yaki Udon was not very innovative as it was just stir fry with premade teriyaki and yaki soba sauce that was a little too tangy tasting. We tried the black truffle Udon as well. It was mushy and crumbly. Not what we were expecting at all. The marinated chicken in the dishes was not great. The chicken was crumbly and broken which created a weird texture in the dishes. Also, the vegetables were sliced so small that they were overcooked and soft in the dishes. Ambiance. Oh my. The music is loud and obnoxious and the screen with fish is so relaxing until it's not. It kept flashing lights and creating such an unpleasant effect that made you feel like you were gonna get a seizure at any given moment. The servers were nice but the service is lacking. They don't really hear or read between the lines. Many will walk past you even though you're looking at them directly in the eye and trying to get their attention so that you can ask for things like napkins. Double check your receipt as we were almost overcharged and if we didn't catch it, our server would not have. So unfortunate, as we were so excited for a real Udon place nearby.

Really wanted to like it, had been anticipating its opening, and liked the atmosphere and presentation. Neither my daughter nor I liked our main dishes, too salty, yet bland, and both the beef and chicken seemed low quality, overcooked and mealy, and appeared to have been mixed in with the noodles cold. The Takoyaki did not appear freshly made. We ordered the 3 Spring Rolls for $6 and didn’t realize that we had been brought and ate the 3 Surfing Rolls for $28 until the check came. Asked for Wasabi right at the start and it never came
On Saturday afternoon around 3 PM, we waited 5–6 minutes at the entrance before being seated. After being seated, no one asked us what we’d like to drink, and it took another 5 minutes just to get water. We then waited nearly 30 minutes with no one coming to take our order. No menus, no check-in, nothing. When we finally managed to stop a staff member who looked very busy and asked about ordering, his response was simply: “You should let me know.” Excuse me? Are guests supposed to chase down staff to receive basic service? We were sitting there the entire time with an empty table — were we invisible? Is this level of chaos really considered acceptable management? For additional context, I had ordered takeout from this restaurant once before and the ramen was extremely disappointing — the noodles were overly hard and unpleasant. This visit was meant to give the restaurant another chance by trying the udon instead, but given this experience, that will not be happening. We ended up leaving and going across the street to Texas Roadhouse, where at least they understand that customers should be offered water and allowed to place an order. We will not be returning.
