This place is seriously so good. We have tried a number of things here and we LOVE everything we have tried. My favorite thing so far is the spicy cauliflower bowl, followed closely by their Greek salad with falafel. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian options!

I grew up eating Armenian food. My parents were from Beirut, Lebanon. I had it made when it came to good food. And I know a good thing when I taste it. Shawarma Zone and its easy to get to location brings Middle Eastern food to a level of excellence on par with home cooking. These three guys (owners) bring the best of their cultures to the hungry public. And I am so glad I got to sample their amazing food. Food is freshly prepared when you order and created in small batches. They take care to bring a quality product to your palate and plate. The shawarma is tender, juicy and is seasoned with warm spices. Wrapped in a grilled type of bread that crunches when you bite, this signature dish is sure to please. I tried the lamb, beef and chicken versions, all excellent. Mmm for leftovers! The pickles on the inside are a nice wake up call for the taste buds, too! The rice that's served is nothing like I've had before. It has a smoky taste to it and I loved every bite. The dips and sauces are not to be missed, either. Served with pita bread, my favorites were the beet dip and another that I sadly can't recall the name. I tried at least 8 different dips and sauces. No judging! 🧐 The grape leaves were very different from the ones I grew up with. They were tightly wrapped and had a hint of mint in them, to go with the rice. Delightful hot or cold. These guys must know that everyone loves French fries so they are on the menu. Nothing like them! The falafel were superb and were just like home. Authentic as can be. And a must try. We ate inside the restaurant but these guys do a brisk carry out business, too. They also cater so if you want really yummy food for your next event, Shawarma Zone is the place to go.

Shawarma Zone is by far the best food in Middletown. It beats any other restaurant in town and could easily hold its own as one of the best in CT. The food is authentic, fresh, and packed with flavor. Not greasy, not rushed, and done right. You can tell they put real care into everything they make. On top of the great food, the staff here are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They gave me every sauce to try, and you can tell they’re really proud of their products. That alone makes the experience even better. If you haven’t tried Shawarma Zone yet, you’re seriously missing out. This is my new regular spot without a doubt.

We went today and had chicken shawrma and chicken Mandy that melts in the mouth and finished with sweet creamy rice pudding . Everything was so delicious and flavourful. I totally recommend the place

The food is very tasty here. The chicken shawarma on rice is phenomenal. The falafel is hot and fresh. The stuffed grape leaves are so good as well. Strongly recommend this place for authentic and delicious food.

Amazing service! Very good food served. Tastes just like where the Shawarma Sandwich originated. No need to drive to New Jersey anymore to eat the perfect Shawarma sandwich. It’s right here in MiddleTown CT.

The food is delicious! The meal is huge and very satisfying. Had the chicken shawerma plate and its really nice. The owners are amazing and very kind and the place has a nice vibe! Definitely recommend it.

Tried this place for the first time and it’s already my new go-to for shawarma! The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, and the garlic sauce was absolutely addictive. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. The staff were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. You can tell they put a lot of care into the food. Definitely worth checking out—this spot is going to be a neighborhood favorite in no time!

My husband and I were very disappointed by the meal we received today. We ordered the beef shawarma wrap and the lamb kebab with rice plate. The rice tasted like liquid smoke, the lamb was tuff an very hard to cut with the plastic knife they provided. The beef shawarma wrap it self was ok. The real issue here was the cleanliness of the men cooking. We had received our food an as we were eating we watched 1 cook pick up his phone wearing gloves an proceeded to talk on it. Did not change gloves or wash his hands. Then a little while later we saw the same guy walk over put a mat down an prey. When he was done he proceeded to pick up the mat put it on a counter then put something over it. He proceeded to touch all the food surfaces without washing his hands after having had them on the ground and on the mat. Grabs a knife stops an puts on gloves again without washing his hands. We watched as he continued to pre pare food. By this point we had stopped eating an decided to throw our food out no loss there as it was not good anyway. I think someone needs to have a talk with them about cleanliness an hygiene especially being in food service. Will not be back.
