Mostra su Escher. Il posto è molto ampio e garantisce ampia possibilità di sviluppo idee e scenografia. Chi organizza le mostre può sicuramente dare spazio alle proprie idee. Luogo accessibile. Da raggiungere con i mezzi pubblici.

MUDEC è senza dubbio uno dei miei musei preferiti a Milano: mostra interessanti, ottima esposizione ed descrizione delle opere, luci e allestimenti sempre di altissimo livello. Assolutamente consigliato

Escher exhibition is fascinating, tells the life and development of Escher and his artistic style with no maths training - brilliant and some gorgeous interactive bits Place had some very enthralled kids throughout! Permanent exhibition also worth the free ticket! Surprising links from Milan to corners of the world with the artifacts of colonialism and import on show, lovely couple of hours spent Toilet water pressure means you leave the facilities slightly damp, only negative observation!

The MC Escher exhibit is well worth the time and cost. What I really appreciated is that it didn't concentrate on his most well-known works, but instead was a comprehensive look at his career.

We were lucky as we entered during a lull in the day as we saw a large line upon exiting. Beautiful building but part of it was obscured by an ongoing temporary exhibition - I'll consider it part of the charm. Went to the Escher exhibition and enjoyed it. Please note that a ticket is needed for the permanent exhibition but I think it is free (as of the time of this review).

A wonderful evening! Dinner at Enrico Bartolini al Mudec was a real highlight of my trip to Milan. It’s tucked away on the third floor of the Museo delle Culture, and the moment you step in, it feels calm and special—warm lighting, beautiful décor, and a relaxed but elegant vibe. I had the Mudec Experience tasting menu, and every dish was creative and beautifully presented. The standout for me was the risotto with red turnips and Gorgonzola “Evoluzione”—rich, creamy, and unlike anything I’ve had before. The langoustine and the Podolica beef were also unforgettable. The service was polished but friendly, and the wine pairings were excellent (though definitely a splurge). Overall, it’s the perfect place for a special occasion—refined without being stuffy, and a meal you’ll remember long after you leave

I loved the mirror/light box room, This is only the second one I've been to after Guggenheim in Bilbao, over there they give you like one minute something and in this one the lady was occupied so we got to enjoy a bit more before she came.to get us out.

Great modern art center. I enjoyed the current exhibition on Picasso, emphasizing the influence of African art on his art. The permanent exhibition is also very interesting, demonstrating the relationships between Milan and the world, in particular the Americas, Asia, and Africa, with a particular focus on Italy's African colonies and afrodescendants living in Milan.

Wow. One of the best looking museum I’ve ever been to. When I visited there was a temporary exhibition of surrealist art (Magritte, Dalí etc.) very beautifully arranged. Then there is the smaller permanent exhibition of Milanese cultural history, very interesting as well. But the place itself is very neatly arranged in an old industrial building with modern touches.

I went to the exhibit of David Lachapelle and it was very nice. The building itself is impressive and breathtaking when you walk up the stairs. The exhibit was interesting and well put together. Loved the gift shop. So many cool things!

This was a wonderful museum to visit - not to mention great Instagram shots of the main stairwell up to the exhibits - but also one that is well-curated and unpretentious. We visited the Mondrian exhibit and the permanent collection which was very well curated considering it is largely about European colonialism. I think this is one of the most thoughtful ways to present on colonialism throughout the world while bearing in mind the trauma, impact, and way forward to a better and more inclusive society. Well done!!!

Museo contemporaneo inserito nell’ex area industriale Ansaldo, il MUDEC è un progetto di David Chipperfield che unisce architettura rigorosa e spazi espositivi flessibili. Nato per raccontare le culture del mondo, ospita mostre temporanee di forte richiamo e collezioni etnografiche permanenti. Gli ambienti sono ampi e luminosi, con un buon dialogo tra interno e città. Un polo culturale dinamico, simbolo della trasformazione urbana di Milano.

Ho visitato l'attuale mostra su Escher, l'ho trovata interessante,con pezzi d'arte davvero gradevoli. Ma l'ho trovata un po' " vuota" , con molte parti senza effettivamente opere, ma tendaggi o specchi, anche se è una proposta voluta, si percepisce un certo vuoto. Comunque consiglio di visitarla la bravura di questo grande artista si sente, anche nei quadri più piccoli. La struttura del Mudec è davvero molto bella, però voglio aggiungere un appunto. In questo periodo, le persone hanno piumini, ombrelli, ecc....non permettere, di lasciare questi indumenti o oggetti in spazi come guardaroba o armadietti, è piuttosto ingombrante mentre si visita la mostra. Questo, è un aspetto da migliorare, visto che lo spazio c'è per creare una zona più grande adibita.

Buona esperienza al Mudec per la mostra su Escher, naturalmente interessante. Si può anche visitare la adiacente mostra permanente delle varie culture, anche lì ci sono spunti interessanti.. si impara sempre qualcosa di nuovo e questo ci aiuta a vivere in un mondo globale.

Visitata la mostra su Escher. Molto interessante. Il complesso del Mudec è un edificio molto bello e merita una visita.

Un puro spettacolo, gli spazi sono ampi e accoglienti. Abbiamo visitato il museo in occasione dell’esposizione su Niki de Saint Phalle. Uno spettacolo. Super consigliato, anche se il biglietto è caro. I 2,50€ di prevendita per l’ordine online proprio non ci stanno.

Molto bene organizzato con aree ben definite per ogni esposizione. Personale cordiale e preparato. Ho visitato la mostra di Escher acquistando i biglietti on line e l'ingresso è stato immediato. Peccato per la ressa, ho trovato moltissima gente nella stessa fascia oraria e la visione della mostra ne ha risentito.

Carino, una visita alla mostra di Escher che ci è piaciuta. Spazi ben organizzati e l’architettura di questo luogo è sempre spaziale 🔥

Inside Base Milano cultural centre and near Armani Silos. Wonderful architecture by David Chipperfield. The free of charge permanent exhibition about Italy’s colonialism is interesting but not at the same level with the building. We didn’t go to see the changing exhibition this time. There is a gift shop and casual cafeteria.

There are 3 expositions at the same time. One is temporary and dedicated to artweek Milano. The other two are permanent with free access. They represent a history of the city through the period of grand commerce, colonization, and the difficulties of the first part of the XX century.

I liked this museum especially the part on how African people have integrated in Milan. They could have a better storytelling or logic, as I felt we were jumping from one random thing to another. The architecture of the place is beautiful. The shop has some interesting stuff but quite pricey. We did not go to the exhibitions and just the general pass which is free

Collezione permanente deludente sotto vari punti di vista; rispetto ad altri musei (anche esteri) che presentano una sezione permanente e gratuita al pubblico, Mudec ahimè non soddisfa le aspettative. Per quanto riguarda le mostre, trovo che i prezzi dei biglietti siano eccessivi. Altra nota dolente: ho visitato il museo in un giorno feriale, eravamo letteralmente pochissimi all’interno del museo, e il servizio guardaroba non dava la possibilità di lasciare i cappotti, non so il perché, il che mi ha davvero lasciata perplessa, dato che ha costretto i visitatori a tenersi giacche e borse ingombranti durante la visita. Mi sento di dire che esistono sicuramente musei migliori.

Abbiamo visitato la mostra di Escher all'inizio dell'anno nuovo. Molto bella ma incompleta poiché mancano opere molto rappresentative, dagli autoritratti alle costruzioni impossibili alle celebri mani che disegnano se stesse.

Visitato oggi la mostra di M.C.Escher, molto interessante le origini e le contaminazioni islamiche iniziali della sua creatività. Il percorso si snoda in modo cronologico affiancato da manufatti provenienti da varie parti del mondo raffigurati forme e “tasselli” riconducibili al lavoro di Escher. Grossa delusione la mancanza di opere raffiguranti situazioni geometriche “impossibili” che sono la grande aspettativa in una mostra dedicata ad Escher…credo che per la mancanza di alcune opere iconiche molti siano rimasti delusi come il sottoscritto…

While the central entrance hall is really interesting with a nice, playful design, -the museum itself is not that great, the general collection is nice, but it’s small and not too cohesive. There’s just not enough to see or do. Admission is usually quick with no wait for the general collection, but temporary exhibitions may have some wait depending on the time and the exhibition. The general collection is free though, which is a plus, making it worthwhile enough if one is close enough or has the time, or just wants to check out the architecture of the place, which was the pull for me

Not an interesting museum, they have free admission for the museum and then for exhibitions need to get paid tickets. The time that we visited there was not any interesting exhibitions to visit, so we only checked the general museum. Since it was free I can consider it as ok but we didn’t like it

Servizio clienti alla cassa pessimo. Nonostante aver chiesto al personale gli sconti e le riduzioni mi hanno indirizzato verso una riduzione sbagliata che mi è costata 6 euro in più sull’ingresso. Lo stesso la mia amica. Ovviamente ci hanno riposto male in cassa quando glielo abbiamo fatto notare. Mi hanno fatto passare la voglia di tornare…

Guardaroba inutile perché non permette il deposito di giacche e cappotti. Inoltre Declinano responsabilità in caso di furto delle borse. Aggiungo Accoglienza pessima con Personale scortese e maleducato.

Personalmente esperienza pessima. Vado a vedere la mostra di Escher un sabato pomeriggio. Non avevi acquistato i biglietti on line, penso "vediamo se c'è posto, se no vado via". Arriviamo e ci fanno mettere in coda, ci sono circa 15 persone per cui penso che c'è poca fila e aspetto. Ebbene, passeranno un'ora e 40 minuti prima di entrare. Abbiamo tutti più volte chiesto e ci hanno sempre risposto "non sappiamo tra quanto entrerete.." Ma come "non sappiamo"? Qual è il punto, ci sono i biglietti venduti online? Ebbene, saprete anche quanti ne sono stati venduti e quanti posti restano disponibili e quando? Basta dirlo, poi ognuno valuterà se vuole aspettare o andarsene. Questa gestione è indecente, mai vista in nessun altro museo al mondo.

Il book shop della mostra di Escher ha chiuso con più di 15 minuti di anticipo.... (Abbiamo scoperto che è una consuetudine) mamdamdo fuori il bambino che voleva un libro da portare a scuola... Davvero un apessima figura con i bambini che dovrebbero essere incoraggiati ad avvicinarsi ai musei e non respinti.

Very disappointing. A huge building, with an impressive hallway, and the smallest 2 room exhibition I ever saw. Honestly more hallway than museum. Plenty of other better museums and places to see in Milano. And the young lady at the ticket counter needs an attitude check. We wanted to visit both the permanent and the current exhibition. We were told at the counter that there wasn't enough time for both and we had to choose one. We were 1h from closing time, so we chose the permanent exhibition. What we weren't told is that the permanent exhibition is so small you can see it twice in 15 minutes. Seeing that we had 45 min left we went back to the counter to try and get tickets for the other exhibition. Only to find nobody there to sell tickets.

This year I visited museums all over Europe. All of them had free lockers and/or wardrobe availables. In Milan, lockers are there, but not available (they were all without the key) and the wardrobe accepted bag only (no jackets or umbrellas). Umbrellas had to be left outside the building. Result: umbrella stolen

I like the location and re-use of former industrial buildings, and the new structures that complement the old but the museum itself was a disappointment Visited the temporary and permanent areas and it was not interesting at all, and many of the temporary areas were empty. Quite a small museum Not sure why but entry was free (Friday 25 July 2025) so at least I didn’t waste money as well as time The highlight was the bistro/ restaurant, the food was superb. Price and quality was unbelievably good, especially when you consider it’s inside a museum. If I lived/ worked nearby then I’d visit this place only for the food - there is a separate entrance for this purpose Very few people were there when we visited, I think there were more staff (most of which were on their phones) than there were visitors I don’t recommend
