First time here and the food was amazing. The staff is super friendly and kind. Loved getting to experience a new food, and afterwards, what I assume was the owner gave me and my fiance cinnamon tea. If your not use to spice you may not like this but coming from the usa it was perfect. I hope to come back some day!

This was an amazing experience. My fiancé and I stopped in to check it out due to it being located close to our Airbnb. Absolutely worth it. I would recommend visiting if you are staying anywhere in Milan, worth the trip if necessary. The workers are kind, helpful, and add a great atmosphere to the restaurant. They food itself was excellent and a unique experience. Would definitely come back if I ever find myself in Milan again!

I really enjoyed the food and the experience of eating with just my bare hands, using some bread to help. Highly recommend! There are vegetarian options.

A must visit place if in the area, menu is ultra simple and medium priced but unlike anything I've ever had. I had beef, came with spinach, cous cous and as a separate course some chicken and egg. Everything eaten with a kind of bread like pancakes, with fingers. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Great option for vegans. It is possible to choose 2 starters out of 4 and there's a menu for veg* that is fully vegan. The chickpea puree was amazing and the bread really tasty (it is a bottomless bread!). There are also desserts option but haven't tried them and I'm not sure which is vegan or not. Biniam, the owner, has been a gem! Really friendly, fun and made us feel really welcome and treated like true guests. Definitely will go again! Absolutely amazing restaurant! The owner put a lot of thought into the restaurant's design, making it so unique that time seems to fly by while waiting your order. The food was exceptionally delicious and the portions were huge as well. The staff was friendly and made the whole experience feel authentic. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I can't wait to go back for more tasty dishes. It's a place that will make you want to explore Eritrean food and culture.

We were really surprised when we came to a Savana restaurant. It is really authentic Eritrean restaurant. The owner Biniam welcomed us and we felt very special from the moment we entered the restaurant. We ordered our food and we were genuinely looking at wall art at this restaurant. One can tell that it was well thought out. You experience the eritrean culture just by watching the art on the wall. The food was exceptional, and you could tell that the owner has a great relationship with his customers. They all greeted him and he spent few minutes talking to every customer. We highly recommend anyone visiting Milano. We will definitely go there again when we return to Milano in September 2024.

We've eaten here for a couple of special occasions, and I always dream of going back. The food is incredible--an amazing variety of flavors all on one plate. I suggest ordering both the meat and the vegetarian platters so that you can try everything. It is a fun experience to eat with your hands using the injera bread to scoop up each bite. (On that topic, the bathrooms are clean and well-stocked with soap so you can wash up.) And the owner and staff are wonderful. Highly recommended!
